Foreign. Hey, everybody, it's Rhonda and Hope. Unfiltered, real, raw and relevant. And I am so tickled. We've been giggling, talking about John G. I have an update. Are you ready for the update?
I know the update.
You do? I caught John G. A few times in the hall talking to this particular girl. And every time I'd say I saw a picture. John G. What you doing? No, Pastor.
No.
This past Sunday, in the foyer, grinning like a possum. Just tickled him and her both. And he came and whispered in my ear, he's got a date.
I feel like it's progressing.
It is.
I got.
I said, well, John, come here. Let me see her. And he pulled her over and I picture. I wonder, should we reveal.
It's not time for the reveal. It's not the millions of women that you know. He's off the market.
He is off the market. But I have this picture right here. Look at.
That's not time for that. Not time. Oh, everything.
Even see his eyes.
Everything. There's a time and a season. It's not the time. The season.
I see every tooth in his head.
Anyway, tell them who John G. Is. They don't. A lot of people might be tuning in for the first time.
Well, you won't let me reveal it, John.
No, you can't reveal pictures. Yeah.
And so does she.
Yes, she does.
She works.
I think we have a thing about interdepartmental dating, don't we? Or something like that. Don't we have some kind of bylaw against.
No, we don't staff dating because we're married. Greg and Pam's married. Morgan and Kevin's married.
We got a lot of them married.
Yes. Jaslyn and Andrew.
Donald. Gina.
Yes. Chasing Jordan. Drew.
Yeah. Would be right. Would it? So I guess John G's got me there. So what are we doing that we help people? How tired we've been.
We have been extremely tired. We.
I hope I counted it up now. Some of this was just airport stuff. I was in 14 cities in 11 days. I preach nine times. Gone on tour in about 10 days. No, what I'm saying is I don't do that no more. No, I mean, I hadn't done that, like, maybe since my late 30s.
And it's showing you.
You not 30, man. I'm telling you, it kicked my hind ends.
Sure did.
It kicked me. It got. You know, when I was.
You were, like, in a stupor.
I was this weekend. I was so. Well, it wasn't just that. It's all of my services are getting so int. Everything's intense.
Holy Ghost.
Yeah. There's not a. Just preach.
Well, you wouldn't want that anyway.
It's a move, and it's a move where, like, something's being confronted and demonic forces are being. Something's being called out, something's being broken. Apostolic authority is. It's. Whoo. It's just been. It really has.
Heavy.
It's been heavy. It's been intense. The week of LXP was one of the most intense days as apostles I have ever been in, ever, where God brought a prophetic word to me the night before. I stayed up till about one or two in the morning the night before, and I just chunked my whole message and I said, there's the devil. And I said, I'm going after it. And it was Jezebel's spirit. And when I started calling out the symptoms of the Jezebel spirit, the fruit of it, pastors all over lxp flooding the altars. I mean, to one time, the whole.
Stage, we had to move up, the.
Stage was flooded, and I had to go to where the band was. I mean, when I'm talking about intense, I mean, you could feel two kingdoms clashing in that building. And that went on all day until late that night. We got in bed about 3:15 in the morning, and then it was, of course, Sunday, and then we left to go to Nashville to the Dove Awards. Monday came back from Dove Awards. Tuesday came back from that. On Wednesday, Red Worship. Then I went to Red Worship Charlotte on Thursday, and I flew to Richmond, preach Richmond Friday in one of our network churches, flew back to California Saturday, preached twice Sunday, and by the time I got to Monday with you, I'm.
Like, you just made me tired.
I mean, I'm like, just don't call me. Don't do anything. But I think sometime they, like, there are this small element of people, like, man, must be nice to be him. And golf three times a week.
You don't golf, number one.
They don't. We're starting this podcast like, an hour and a half late because we can't get in here because of all that's going on. Our life is not like that. There may be some guys that are much better leaders than me, and they've been able to choreograph their life where they can do that, but we can.
Hunt and fish that week.
And True Kingdom advancement, Ron Carpenter's experience of True Kingdom advancement is. Somebody's pushing. Somebody's pushing all the time.
Something's pushing against you all the time to keep you from advancing. You've got opposition to keep.
But two days with my baby.
Yep.
That's what we did Monday and Tuesday. And I can snap back. I'm quick responder. If I just get time with you.
I have the answer.
I don't even think you took off your pajamas. Did you take off your sweats and pajamas yesterday or did you stay that way all day?
I think I did.
It was good. It was good to do nothing.
I think I did.
You're being dirty. I don't want to talk about. This ain't a marriage conference. This is a podcast. This is respectable podcast. Respectable.
It's real raw and relevant because you know that's about the only thing that you want when you're tired and no. Or sick.
I want you to be messing with me.
Happy or should be messing healthy or any day that ends in y.
It's not like that at all.
Okay, well, today I've got some questions I'm just going to.
How did you come up with this idea? As tired as I've been and now you are.
I said, let's just see. Let's see what the apostle has to say.
Well, tell them what you want to do. She told me she won't do this. I'm like, I'm just gonna. I don't really think a lot. I kind of wanted to laugh today more than I wanted to think she gonna ask me a lot. What kind of questions?
Well, you ready for the first one?
I don't know. Are they Bible questions?
Are they Bible questions?
She's just gonna ask Bible questions. Yes.
You ready? Can you be once saved, always saved?
Baby, why you want to get me mired in controversy sideways with the people of God?
Can you be? Well, I mean, if I've been. If I got saved when I was 12 years old and I just went and lived this hellacious life and then I died.
I was raised in the holiness environment where you needed to get saved four times a week.
I went to the altar every service.
I mean, which. That. I'm just going to tell you that's ridiculous. That makes the grace of God look like it has no mega. It has no greater sticking ability than bubblegum. That's. That's just ridiculous. The Bible says to be saved, Hope. And I said something along this line before and even got some pastors riled up that were even in my network. The fact is we still want to tack conduct, behavior and lifestyle traits to the salvation.
Salvation is God's gift.
Salvation is God's victory. It's not ours and it never will be. And the moment it is dependent upon anything we do, you have snatched the victory out of God's hands and taken it for yourself. Our righteousness is filthy on our best day. So I can do. I can live perfectly and it's filthy.
Yeah.
Okay. The having dedicated three and a half decades of my life to the word, Ron. Almost four. Almost four decades if you count Bible school. That part of Ron, I could prove biblically where your salvation can be renounced. Your faith. You can leave the faith. The Bible speaks of those that left the faith but lose it. You know, stump my toe and accidentally say a bad word and I've got to go start at ground zero.
No, but there are times being saved that you do need to continue to repent.
That's a lifestyle.
Yes, it's a lifestyle.
It's a lifestyle of repentance.
When we miss the mark, when we've.
Hurt God's heart, which is daily.
When we know that we have disobeyed, which is daily. It's not like, oh, I'm just saved, let's just keep going. No.
Should we sin because of grace? God forbid or Lord forbid is what it says that you don't tempt grace. But when you start saying you can lose your salvation, then the flip has to be possible. You can win it.
You can't and you can't win it. Sin does separate you. That's what sin is. Sin.
Sin separates. In the Bible, death. In the Bible, death is not death. Death is separation. Death is not the cessation of a thing. In the Bible, death is separation. And there is no doubt that sin wedges me and God.
I've done something wrong. I felt that distance.
But my salvation does not die. If I screw something up, it does not die. And the fact is, you bring in so many theological questions that can't be answered. Okay, so if I can lose my salvation, how many sins does it take to lose it? Is it to stump your toe and you had a bad thought, oh, you're lost, you're lost.
Or is it 10 times?
Or is it yes, 20 times? The fact is, the Bible says, call on the name of the Lord and you shall be saved. The Bible says, believe in your heart and confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and thou shalt be saved. The fact is, I believe that people are going to be shocked how many folk are in heaven that they didn't live, that they didn't think lived the lifestyle that would win them heaven. The fact is There is no lifestyle that wins you heaven. There is a lifestyle. Exactly right. And people have got to understand. I am a trinity, just like my heavenly Father. I'm made in his image. He's spirit. He's Father, word and spirit. I am spirit, soul and body. And I am saved in dimensions. I am perfected in my spirit. The moment I declare him Lord, I'm born again. And I am spiritually perfected. And you cannot increase upon it. But my mind has not been touched.
Right?
My mind has not been touched. And the carnal mind is the enemy of God. And the carnal mind brings us into captivity of sin, even though we've been saved.
So we are justified by faith. By faith.
Right.
But that does not mean we are sanctified immediately.
Absolutely not.
That is my second.
But the Bible does not tell me I have to be sanctified to go to heaven.
Nope.
That has to be saved. Yes.
Let's talk about that in just a second. We want to go to our wonderful Green Chef. Green Chef Fall. Ron, you love fall. We were talking about this yesterday.

Yeah, absolutely. I think it's smart math.
Okay. No, seriously, I don't want to get into bruja. I'm not a guy. I'm not a guy anyway. I've never claimed to be a scholar, number one. I'm apostolic. I'm very administrative. I'm very entrepreneurial. I'm not one of these guys that goes into an attic every day for nine hours with a jug of water and reads. I have committed a good bit of my life to study. But these are theological debates that have been going on forever. But I tend to the hyper holiness background I came out of was so centered around works to keep your salvation. And I just don't see that in the Bible. And if you want to get down to actually what the Bible says, it says believe in your heart and confess with your mouth. Now a lot of people are going to struggle with that. But when Jesus said be saved, now everything else in the king, salvation is free hope. The kingdom is not.
No, it's not. And let's talk about it.
The kingdom is not.
So salvation is that one time where you believe with your heart, confess with your mouth. Jesus paid the price for it is.
The entry point into the kingdom.
We did not pay the price for it. We can never pay the price for it. But daily kingdom victorious living comes with sanctification, which we grew up in the Pentecostal Church where it was a second definite work. Just like salvation was the first work, sanctification.
They thought that sanctification was an act.
That you go down to the altar and get sanctified. And get sanctified.
And they said that was the eradication of the sin nature. Which that's absolutely right.
Which that doesn't happen.
Romans 7 blows that all Apart.
But I do believe that we can whittle that away and that is through the process of sanctification.
Talk about it. There is a time where it should become more natural for you to do right than to do wrong.
Yep. And that comes with this.
That comes with the renewing of the mind. And like I said, at salvation, the mind is not touched. So the person who does believe in their heart and confesses with their mouth the Lord Jesus, but never really is in a place where their lifestyle is affected. Or maybe someone in a tribal jungle region heard an evangelist one night in a village and never got to be discipled, never got to hold a Bible. Is he not saved because his lifestyle don't add up? No, he's saved because he confessed with his mouth and he believed the Lord Jesus was the son of God. That is where my salvation comes from. Now, this is what classical Pentecostals, which is a lot of my following this never preached. Nobody ever talked about the kingdom. And Jesus came not to buy you a ticket, just to heaven. He came to bring a kingdom to earth. And that will cost you. The kingdom is hidden. The kingdom is a mystery. The kingdom is a secret. And you have to pull back the curtain. Most people read the Bible and they see the story of the wheat and tares. They see the story of the prodigal son. They see the story of the pearl of great price. They see the story of the sower and the seed. And that's nice. He's not trying to tell you about how to agriculture your ground. He's not trying to tell you about sheep and goats. He's not trying to tell you about how to take care of cattle. You have to pull back the curtain because there's a kingdom truth behind the story. So the kingdom only comes to the seeker. Seek ye first the kingdom of God. It does not come to the casual. Here is something that is a proof text to prove people can lose their salvation. In 1 Corinthians 6 or 7, I think gives these lists of heinous sins. It says, and those who practice these things shall not inherit the kingdom of heaven. This one interpretation of the Bible difference right here changes the whole Bible. The kingdom of heaven is not the place. So I have seen so many times. If you do these things, you don't get to heaven. That is not what that is saying. The kingdom of God is who owns it. The kingdom of heaven is where it's from. And you've got to understand the kingdom of heaven. You are talking about the extension of rule. So the kingdom of heaven is the kingdom that is from heaven coming into the earth. So the kingdom of heaven is the kingdom keys that allow you to function in the promises of God. If you're operating in adverse lifestyles, you inherit what these promises bring.
Righteousness, joy.
You can't live in both at one.
Time and the Holy Ghost.
But that is not saying you can't get to heaven. The kingdom of heaven is not the place of heaven. It is the extension of heaven coming to earth.
It's having heaven on earth.
It's exactly right. So that's what heaven has. When you put that in there, you take that whole proof text away from people and they don't like that. Because there's a lot of Christians like to keep people out of heaven.
They want you to go to hell.
Yes. They're trying to find a way to burn you up anyway they can. And that is a way that we want to really, that is an effort to control. I told people, people told me, said, you know what? You don't preach on sin enough. I said two things. I said, number one, usually whatever I'm preaching on, people are doing. So I don't preach about sin a lot. I said, number two, people say they don't want legalism. They don't want do it. Tell me what to do, Pastor. Tell me what I can and can't do. People say they don't want that, but really they do. Because my biblical interpretation is the ultimate goal of maturity is to be led by the Spirit. For these that are led by the Spirit, these are the weases of God. There's five levels of sonship. The highest point of maturity is a we ask those that are led by the Spirit. These are the fully mature Christians. So the fully mature Christians are not those that are being told right from wrong. The fully mature Christians are those that in every situation are led in that moment by the Spirit. So when I quit letting everybody tell me what to believe and I read.
The Bible myself, fully matured child doesn't throw fits. Fully matured child doesn't wear a diaper. Fully matured child pays its bills on time. And this is the same way with us as a fully matured son or daughter of God.
But when your child live right, but when your child was not a wios, when it was was 12 years old and they skipped school that day, was he no longer a son?
He was a son.
Yeah.
See, just didn't, just didn't get the benefits of being a mature one. He was so good.
He was still your son. He's still my son, so that's kind of where I'll leave that. But here. Again, guys, you know, if y' all out there don't send me 6,000 emails, I'm not going to debate you. I didn't know what question she was asking. She started out with, in the south, what we call a humdinger. Okay. So anyway, are the rest of them this hard?
I don't know. I just like Christian lingo that, you know, a lot. We hear it, we say it, but it's never really explained. And so I just wanted to throw out some lingo. What about adoption? What is adoption?
Adoption in the.
I'm not talking about going to the baby.
Well, adoption in the spirit of the baby.
I'm talking about in the spirit.
Adoption in the spirit is the exact process that we see played out in the natural. Maybe not the lawyers and the legalities, but it's the spirit of adoption by which we cry, abba, Father. So Jesus is the only begotten of God, and we are the adopted of God. Hebrews chapter two says we're not ashamed to call him brother. It's because we were reborn into the kingdom.
We were adopted.
A lot of people know Jesus as Savior. A lot of people know him as Lord, but a lot of people don't know him as brother. We are the brother of Jesus being adopted into the family through Jesus Christ and his atonement, which, you know, that's another word. And by that we have been given the spirit of adoption by which we can cry abba, Father, just like Jesus cried abba, Father. And now I am a joint heir with Jesus, meaning whatever blessing was coming from the Father to Jesus, which was the Holy Spirit, so much your hope. That same blessing falls on me. I'm a joint heir. We used to think of that as being like heavenly things. The fact is, the Bible speaks that the Holy Spirit is our inheritance. The anointing is our inheritance. That is the anointing Jesus had. And it's my inheritance. Yes, it's my inheritance as a son of God being adopted into the family. So, yes, it is the concept of being chosen. You were wanted. Jesus said, you didn't choose me. I chose you. That is the spirit of adoption. I want that one right there. The whole thing of bringing value and good enough back to the human being because somebody picked you out and chose you.
That's good.
So there's so many things there. You know, you could preach a series sermon for a month on adoption, and I'm trying to do you five Minute answers, but that's the overall concept of it.
You're doing a good job. Okay, the last two, we got two more. How is Jesus Christ a king and a priest? Kingly anointing. Priestly anointing. How is Jesus the king and a priest?
Jesus is king. Okay, let me go back. Jesus did not come to institute a religion, and Jesus was not a religious figure. Now, anybody who's followed me has heard that, but there's some people on this podcast that's never been in one of my church services and they just got their mind blown because Jesus is a religious figure and a long line of religious figures. Jesus was never a religious figure. I promise you. He didn't die a horrible death on a cross to institute a religion.
Right? He despised religion.
Religion means conforming outer code. That is what the Pharisees did. And Jesus scorched the Pharisees. He said that's why he got crucified. He said, you outer looks like it's for me, but your heart is far from me. And Jesus scorched that people who would. He talked about him and said, don't be like the Pharisees and the hypocrites. When they pray, they go out into the streets. Almighty, wise God. He said, good, secret place. So he was always people who tried to give outward behavior to make you think they're something they're not. That is religion conforming to an outer code. And every religion has a book and every religion has a lifestyle. Jesus came with salvation given by a person paying a price. Totally different. So Jesus is a king in the fact that he has a kingdom. He's a king in the fact that he paid the price to bring his kingdom and expand it into the earth. He leads his kingdom also. The Bible says that when Jesus died and rose again, became obedient to death, that he had a name above every name that God gave him. So you understand that a king has a robe and the train of Jesus robe could not fill the temple. The robe of a king, the train had to do with conquest. Because every time he would defeat a king, they would take that robe and tie a portion of it. So if a train can't get into the temple, that means everything that needed to be defeated has been defeated. Here again, he's king of kings and lord of lords. Now look at king of kings. We are kings and priests unto our God, but he is the king of kings, of kings and he's the Lord of lords. So when you're talking about being a king, he came as a king With a kingdom, instituting it and expanding it to earth. Priest is his intercessory role. When he ascended, he went and sat at the right hand of God he pleased, and there he ever sees for you. The Bible says we have an advocate or a lawyer or a priest, Jesus Christ, who's faithful and just to forgive us of all of our sins and cleanse us of all unrighteousness. The fact is, I don't have to go to a person and confess anything.
Right.
I have direct access to God through Jesus, through my high priest.
Yes.
Whoever maketh intercession for me.
That's the whole concept that blows my mind that he is praying for me. He intercedes for me.
Yep. Ah, there's a scripture that skips my mind right now that speaks straight to that.
Wow, that's powerful.
The scripture of God that you break. See, when the Bible's translated, there was no punctuation. So punctuation was added by very brilliant people. But there's sometimes, if you really look at the punctuation and you redo where the punctuation is, the meaning is totally different. And there's a scripture I want to say, Timothy, where it said there's a blessing that comes about that says, by the word of God, always praying. And it doesn't say praying the word of God. It says the word of God, Jesus is always praying. Totally different meaning. I have a high priest. You have to have a go between. Between you and God. Even in the Old Testament, there had to be a high priest. Well, there's no more Yom Kippur Day of atonement. One day a year, when the high priest goes in and makes atonement, spreading the blood of lamb. We have now one sinless lamb, spotless lamb. The Lamb that takes away the sin of the world. He came and he was slain from the foundations of the world, went back into heaven, seated at the right hand of the father after saying it is finished. Seated is a posture of completion. And there, whenever I pray, he takes it on in.
That's so good.
First, John says this confidence we have that when we pray, he hears us.
That's good. All right, Ron, one more question. What do you love about me?
Baby? It take a year of podcasts.
Come on.
It would take a year of podcasts.
Just take two minutes. What do you love about me?
You remember the other night? I know. A few weeks ago, I named you 100 Things.
You did.
You couldn't believe it. And I clicked them off like that right there. Could you name five?
Yes.
I named 100.
I love how gentle you are with me.
Are you like being sarcastic right now? Because I treat you very gently.
Yes, you do. You're very gentle. I love your mind.
What does that mean?
I like your. I mean you're smart. You're very smart.
See, I don't know if you've been serious. I can't take it.
I am serious.
All right.
Okay. I love that you're a visionary. You always have a plan. You are always planning and trying to be better. You're a visionary.
That's three.
I love how good looking you are.
You've been making fun of my hair lately, but go ahead.
Oh my goodness. I have not.
Go ahead.
I love that you love to spend time with me.
But you. I love spending my money on you.
I like that too. But you didn't tell me what you love about me.
That freckle on the back of your right ear.
Yep.
Okay.
What else?
I love your little feet.
My little feet?
Yep. That. That helped get you helped win me. They don't know that story. But they help with. They don't know are small. They don't. They don't know that. I just cannot get over the bad foot thing. Kind of.
He cannot. He does not like a bad foot.
Yep. Even if you. Even if your feet aren't pretty, you got to keep them up. Tell them about what I will call people out on staff on it.
You do.
If you stick a bad foot in a sandal around here, I will call you out. If you slide a jacked up toe in a flip flop here, I will. I will call it out.
It's a bra.
You can see it. When the ladies haven't done anything. They'll take. They'll do like that when they're fingernails too. They'll curl them in and they don't look. They don't look. I'm like we have minimum standards around here and that's one of them. You can't be walking around here. And the back of your foot fact.
That I myself up.
I love the fact that your beauty. I love your beauty. I love. How do we get on this from talking about kings and priests Questions. I'm trying to think because a lot of things I told you in that hundred are extremely inappropriate. And I'm trying to tell you some that are G rated.
Ron.
Okay. I love to hear your voice when I hadn't heard it. Especially in a long time.
There's never a time you hadn't heard my voice before.
You know we have a lot of time where we have to be two different places a lot.
Yeah, but we talk every day.
I know, but when you're in the.
Room, it just feels like a long time.
And we have a special hug we do every morning that I can't tell people about that I absolutely love. That's right. When we're having coffee, it's our special hug. It's our special. Nobody can know about it. It's a special hug that we do. That is we have a patent on it. It's only unto us. And I don't even reveal that at marriage conferences. It's totally unto. But I sat there and named you a hundred things like that one time, and I could do it, but all of them aren't.
But you're too tired right now. Podcast level. You're too tired. I'm about to come up.
I'm about 50 to 70% back. I'm not 100% back, so I don't know if I answered these questions good or not.
You did. I thought they were great. I thought they were awesome.
That's kind of a different podcast. I didn't know he was going that way today. I would have been a little more prepared anyway. It's been great, though.
Listen, Ron, it's almost time for my Christmas decorations to go up, and I'm a little nervous because you always fuss when I put them up before November, but I'm getting the urge.
Why can't you wait till, like, after Halloween?
We don't celebrate Halloween.
I know, but when a Christmas tree goes up and everybody's still got pumpkins, that's kind of weird.
I don't do. I don't like pumpkins.
I don't want pumpkins.
Orange ain't anything.
