Cynthia Brazelton Fearless Conference 2019 Message

A live sermon from the Fearless Conference (Cynthia Brazelton with another speaker) teaching about ‘courageous faith’: knowing your identity in God, refusing fear’s lies, and speaking/standing on God’s Word so promises manifest. The message uses Genesis, Mark, Luke, Matthew and Proverbs to argue that faith renews the mind, overcomes conditioned limits, and produces ‘immediate’ spiritual effects even when physical evidence is delayed. Practical steps emphasized include meditating on Scripture, speaking God’s word aloud, persistent thanksgiving, and trusting God for both small (toothpaste/toilet paper) and large (a plane) provisions.

He will not let you down. Your expectation will not be cut off, it will not be denied. God will see to it that you get whatever he has for you if you just simply hold on immediately. It doesn't matter what it looks like, doesn't matter what it feels like, doesn't matter what it sounds like. When you have a touch of faith immediately you know within yourself that you've been lay hold.
I give you much praise and everybody agree with me. Come on, let's praise our God.
Hallelujah. Glory, glory, glory.
You may have your seat. Praise God. Well, I just want to piggyback on the conference, this fearless conference, and talk to you about courageous faith and how important it is for us. You know, we believe a lot of things and when we hear the word of God, most of us we want to believe what we are hearing and. But then circumstances of life comes our way and then we begin to question what we believe. But when you talk about having courageous faith, that it's the faith of God, that when you hear the word of God, you take a stance and you believe God no matter what the circumstances look like in your life. To be courageous means to be brave. Courage means it's a quality of your mind and your spirit to be able to face difficulties, to face danger, to face pain. It means to live without fear. It means to be brave. It also means to act in accordance to what you believe. When you believe something, you should be courageous enough or fearless enough to stand on what you believe in spite of your circumstances. And so it means to act in accordance to what you believe in spite of your circumstances that may be going on in, in your life or things that come your way, that you're going to stand on the word of God and believe beyond that. Now understand this area of fear is always trying to rob you of your identity. When you say you believe God for something, when you say you believe God, fear will come along and rob you of that position and rob you of your identity in God. Because it's in that identity of knowing who you are that you get to release faith and to believe God who for what he has said that belongs to you. I hope you're following me because this is like so a key important. There are people trying to believe God for things in their lives and they don't know God and they don't even know who they are. They just hoping and praying something will happen. But it's time for us to get into the word of God and what a powerful word we heard last night about how important The Word is in your life that you get ahold of the word of God and find out who you are and and discover that and begin to walk it out in your life. Now, when you come to know who Jesus is, then you'll know who you are. Bible says in First John 4:17 that as Jesus is, so are we in this. Let me say that again. As Jesus is, so are we in this world. So Jesus didn't just come as an example for us, he came as an example of us. And so when you see Jesus, you see yourself. Hallelujah. Glory to God. And it takes a getting into the word of God to cause the reality of that to really happen in your life and to use and discover the faith of God that he's given you. Again, fear will rob you of your identity. In Genesis chapter one, you know, in verse 26, you all very familiar with the Word. It says that God created us in his image and in his likeness. And he gave us dominion of all the fish of the sea and the fowl of the air and over everything that creeped upon the face of the earth. And so God creates this man, male and female creates them. And then God blessed you and he empowered you to prosper in every area of your life. And he made you and I like himself. Genesis 2. 7 says that he made us another speaking spirit. We are made in the image and the likeness of God. You're the only thing that God created that has the ability to articulate something in speech and to see what you say come to pass. Hallelujah.
There's no other creation that has the.
Ability to say words or to say something and to see what you say come to pass. So I'm not questioning you. What have you been saying out of your mouth? Because God made us like himself, we get to create by the words that of our mouths. And so the enemy knew that. And so the enemy's always trying to rob you of that position in that place. He's all. He cannot create anything. He can't even manifest anything. The only way the devil will be able to do anything, he's got to.
Get inside somebody and get you to.
Say what he wants you to say so you can manifest his will for your life.
But it works the same way with God. God, he put the word of God on the inside of you. And if you say what God says.
You'Ll see what God says come to pass in your life.
And so you gotta understand, don't give the devil that place in your life to be able to speak through you or to you about anything.
And so he comes. He's very strategic about this. He comes to the woman and he.
Says, sir, did God say.
He's always questioning God in your life.
Did God say that?
Did he really mean that? Is that what that really means? This God can't possibly mean that.
Did God say, now, God already told.
I'm not really going through the whole Genesis story because I know you're familiar with it. If not, read the first three chapters of Genesis. It'll bless you.
If God tells the man in Genesis.
2, don't eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for the day you eat thereof, you will surely die. The enemy comes to the woman in Genesis 3 and said, Did God say that you can't freely eat of all the trees, trees of the garden? And she says, we can eat of any tree of the garden, but the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, we can't eat it or touch it, lest you die.
And the enemy said, you're not going.
To die for the day you eat thereof. God knows that you'll be like God, knowing good and evil. And so you know the story. She took of the fruit, she ate it. She gave it to Adam, who was with her. Hallelujah. And their eyes were open. Their eyes were open and they were naked. And y' all know the story. They sew fig leaves together. And this is where I'm coming to something. They sow fig leaves, and they hide from the presence of God. God comes to them and he says, adam, where are you? Now when he says, adam, where are you? He wasn't just talking to the male Adam, he was talking to the both of them. Genesis chapter 5 says, in the day that God created them, he called their name, Adam.
So when God said, Adam, he was.
Talking to the both of them.
Adam, where are you?
And Adam says, God, I heard your voice. Thank God you can hear his voice even in the midst of your sin, even in the midst of your trouble, that you can still hear the voice of God. That God knows how to get straight through to you and allow you to hear from him.
He said, I heard your voice, and.
I hid myself because I was afraid. I was naked. Here's the first time we ever see fear show up. And it's a fear afraid of God. He says, I was afraid because I was naked. And God says something so profound to.
Adam, he's like, adam, wait a minute, hold up. Who told you you were naked? See, the enemy comes and strips you of your identity. And Robs you of who God says you are. God blessed them, gave them dominion, told them to subdue the whole entire earth. Everything that Adam and Eve, God put it down on the inside of them. They didn't want for anything. Put them in a garden to dress it and to keep it. Everything that God had for them, he put on the inside of them. Gave them the intelligence to name every animal. And whatever Adam called it, that's what it was. And now he is saying something to God that God never said to him. Who told you you were naked? I say to you. What fear is keeping you from receiving what God has for you? Who told you you were naked? Who told you you couldn't afford that? Who told you you couldn't have that? Who told you you were sick? Who told you you were defeated? Who told you you couldn't have anything? Who said that to you? Who told you you were naked? God never said that about you.
He said, I was afraid.
I was afraid. I was afraid to say. There are so many people that are afraid to say what God said. Well, what if it don't happen? Listen, God's given you an empowerment on the inside of you to cause what you say to come to pass.
Hallelujah. Listen, I'm not preaching on this.
But here he says, you know, in.
Mark 11 he says that you know, whosoever shall say unto this mountain, be thou removed, be thou cast into the sea. And if you don't doubt in your heart, but believe those things which you say come to pass, you're going to have whatsoever you say.
We're afraid to say what God says. You have to understand, first of all that you are a whosoever. You're not a whatever. You are a whosoever. The devil is not a whosoever. Only you are a whosoever made in the image and the likeness of God, God himself. You don't have to be an elder, an apostle. You don't have to be a deacon. You don't have to be a church worker. All you have to be is a whosoever. And if you know that you are a whosoever, the Bible says that you can have whatsoever you say. You got to listen. I don't have whatever I have, whatsoever I say. And you got to know that God has for you, he has for you. So don't be afraid to say what God says. Who told you you were naked?
Well, the doctor's report says that I have cancer.
Who told you that? Jesus said by my stripes you were healed. And if you were healed, you are healed. I don't believe the doctor's report. I believe the report of the Lord. And his report is already declared my healing. It belongs to me. Stop receiving everything you are hearing. Don't believe everything you hear. Who told you that? Who told you you couldn't afford the house? Well, they told me I don't make enough money. Listen, in the kingdom of heaven, it doesn't matter how much money you make in the world system, you have to.
Have a certain amount of money, certain amount of status.
You have to be the right gender.
Or color of skin or come from a certain background or way of living.
To get ahead in life. In the kingdom of heaven, it doesn't.
Matter where you come from.
It doesn't matter how much money you have in the bank. Doesn't matter the color of your skin or what gender you are. All you have to have is a word from God. And if you have a word from God, you can have what God says belong to you. Because I realize I'm a whosoever and I can have whatsoever I say. Listen to me. Too many of you are settling for whatever. When God said you can have whatsoever, you be very specific about what you are believing God for. Not whatever, but whatsoever. I say, hallelujah. You have whatsoever you say.
Who told you you would naked? He said, that woman you gave me, she is her fault. She gave me the fruit and I did eat it.
He said, woman, what have you done?
What are you feeding your family? What have you done? She said, the serpent begowed me. He duped me, he deceived me. Here's another definition if you break it down. He said, he calls me to forgive who I am. He made me forget who I am already created in the image, in the likeness of God. I'm already who God says I am. He made me to forget who I am. So to stand courageous means to stand on who God says you are and to receive what God says belong to you and not allow the enemy to take you off of that same thing that happened to the woman when the enemy came to her. The Bible says she saw what he said. No longer seeing what God said, she saw what he said. It was a tree, good for food. It was pleasant to the eyes, a tree to be desired, to make one wise. It was the pride of the life, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eye. And it's the same thing the enemy came to Jesus with to try to get him to fall. It's the same thing he's still coming to you with to try to get you off of the word of God. He comes to Jesus. If you be the son of God, if you be who you say you are, let's see. And you've got to be like Jesus. And you got to declare that it is written. And the only way that you can declare it is written is you got to know what's written.
You've got to know the word of God.
You got to know what belongs to you. And then you have to courageously stand on the word of God. God. Gentlemen, the ladies have been hearing all weekend that we have got to know our identity and know who we are. I just told you that you and I were made in the image and the likeness of God himself. It is the part of our lives, our spiritual part of our lives that allow us to commune with God. Our fellowship, our encounters with God is so important in your life that you encounter God, that you know his presence. Presence that shows up in your life. I'm not talking about necessary a feeling. But it's good when you get a good feeling when God show up. But it's just an act of your faith and knowing that God will never leave you nor forsake you, that God is here with you. And that everything that God has for you, he's put already down on the inside of your spirit.
And then I know I have this.
Soul, my mind, my will and my emotion, my feeler, my thinker and my chooser. It allows me to be in tune with who I am. It allows the reality of what God has said about me and what he has already hear what I said already put on the inside of me. It allows me to be in tune with who I am and what God has for me. And then I have this physical body that allows me to touch this earthly realm. Just like if you went to the moon, you needed a spacesuit. Well, in this earth, you need an earth suit. All you see right now is your earth suit. But that's not who I am. Who I am is spirit made in the image and the likeness of God. With the ability to speak like God.
And to see what God has said.
Come to pass in my life. But you've got to understand this area of your soul. It is the control center of your life. Everything will fall in the area of your soul. How you think about it, what your desires are, how you feel about things. Things. God has put a download and he'll speak to your spirit. He put things on the inside of your spirit and it will channel in this area of your soul. So that it can manifest in your flesh. But if your mind is not renewed.
In the word of God, if you do not know what is written, what God has for you will fall in.
This area and never manifest in your life. Proverbs 4, 23 says, Be careful how you think. Your thoughts are controlling your life.
Listen, it's not your checkbook that's controlling.
Your life and what you can have and what you cannot have. It's not even your husband that is.
Controlling your life, what you can do and what you can't do. It's not your wife that's stopping you.
From doing what God is calling you to do. It's your thoughts that is controlling your life.
So be careful what you think think.
Because your thoughts are controlling your life. And if you think like God thinks.
That is the word of God.
He says, my thoughts are not like your thoughts, my ways are not like your ways.
But just like the rain comes down from heaven and waters the earth and make it to bring forth, so shall my word be that goes forth out of my mouth. It will not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish what I please. And it will prosper in a thing where I send it. That word has to become your word. That word is my word. And every time I open my mouth, so shall my word be that comes forth out of my mouth. It won't return to me void, it will accomplish what I say. And when God puts it on the inside of you in this area of your life, he says, listen, don't be.
Conformed to this world, Romans 12:2, but be transformed. What does it mean to be transformed? It means, I know, to be changed.
It means to metamorphose. It means that same word from a.
Caterpillar going into a butterfly.
But this transformation takes place in your life so much so that that change.
That takes place place can never be reverted.
A caterpillar can turn into a butterfly, but a butterfly will never be a caterpillar ever again. And God says, listen, don't be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind so that you may prove what is the good and acceptable and the perfect will of God for your life. So you would know what God's perfect.
Will in your life. And so you have got to get the word of God on the inside of you and be courageous enough to.
Stand on that word.
And as the Bible said, in all having done all, somebody shout stand. It takes a lot of courage to stand on the word when everything around you and everything that's Telling you something opposite of what you believe. Listen to me. Luke, chapter 8, verse 11. It says, the sower is sowing the word and the enemy comes to steal the word that was sown in your heart so that you do not believe. So the enemy doesn't want you to believe. But it's our courageous faith and standing on the word of God, not being moved by what we see, but being moved by the word of God and standing on it and speaking. And so my mind has to be renewed. You've got to get the word of God. There are a lot of thoughts that we had that are nothing like God. There are a lot of thoughts that we have that is totally against the will of God. And so we say things like, God understands the question. The real deal is, you don't understand. We say, God don't understand because we want to keep doing what we doing.
But when you get the word of God, it transforms you. It changes you. I can't go back the way I used to be. I've been changed. And listen, when you are changed, you don't have to ask nobody, have I changed. They can see change. I can tell you're not a caterpillar. You're no longer crawling on the ground, you're soaring. Now I can see change in your life, and I don't have to ask. But it's the renewing of your mind.
That has to be changed.
And the world. Listen to me. The world has conditioned us to think.
Certain ways and to act certain ways.
And there are people that act certain.
Ways because they've just been conditioned that way.
It may be the way you grew up.
Everybody in my family is a drunkard.
Everybody in my family gets divorced. Everybody in my family has sugar diabetes. Everybody in my family has heart disease. And so our minds are just waiting for the day that it hits you.
Because we've been conditioned that way.
You think about it.
Take a baby elephant.
What they do is take a baby.
Elephant and they tie a string around its leg, and they take a rope and they drive a snake in the ground and they hold that rope and they give this little baby elephant enough room so he can run around. But he realized he can't go any further than that rope that's on his leg. And so they take. They release him, and then they show.
Him and they train him.
And you know what they do in the circus? They train him to do all kinds of tricks and everything.
And at the end of the day.
They tie this rope around his leg again. And that elephant was used to that freedom for a little while, but then he realized that rope, and he doesn't go any further. And so every day, they training him well, what's happening with this elephant? He's getting bigger and bigger and stronger and stronger.
But his mind has been so conditioned that he can't go beyond this rope that is on his leg. Although he's so big and so strong, that little rope cannot hold him down. But his mind is so conditioned that he's now in this place that he doesn't even try anymore. And all it takes is just one step of faith, and that rope will come up out of that ground and cause him to walk anywhere he wants to walk, do whatever he wants to do, say what he wants to say, be who he wants to be. And he doesn't even realize that he has that ability because that rope is in his mind, is telling him he can't go beyond that. And you have been so conditioned that if you make this amount of money, that's where you got to live. You make this amount of money, this is how you have to drive. You do this. This is what's going to happen to you. Your family has this. This is all you're going to have. We've been conditioned in our mind to believe that we can't go beyond the.
Boundaries that the world has placed upon you.
The word of God allows you and I to live beyond any boundaries that.
The enemy has placed. Placed on your life is just take.
A step of courageous faith to walk out what God and his word has.
Said belong to you. God told Joshua, I need you to be strong and be very courageous. Moses, my servant, is dead.
I need you to take the children.
Of Israel and bring them into the promised land that I promised them.
Now be strong and be very courageous. How God, he said, this book of the law shall not depart out of.
Your mouth, but you shall medicate on it. I'm sorry. Meditate on it. Hallelujah.
You shall meditate.
Y' all got me.
You shall meditate on it day and night, and you will make your way prosperous. And I guarantee you will have good success. Have not I commanded you to be strong and to be very courageous?
How?
Get the word of God and meditate on it day and night.
Well, Pastor Cynthia, I can't do it day and night.
I got things to do. I can't think about the word all the time. You're thinking about something all the time.
You wake up in the morning, you and your husband have an argument.
You thinking about it all day long. You had to go to work. He had to go to work. You think about it. And meditating on it all day long. Can't wait to get back home and.
Pick up the same conversation.
If somebody call you in between that time. Girl, what's going on with you? Girl, you couldn't believe what my husband.
Said to me this morning. I cannot believe he said that.
You thinking about it, you meditating, you.
Rehearsing it over and over and over again.
Don't tell me you can't meditate on.
The word of God.
Listen to me, he said you ought to meditate on that word day and night.
Now you heard me say medicate.
Cause it's so important.
Because I believe you can really understand this. Because most people are on some type of medication. I sad to say, most people are on some type of medication that you take faithfully. You go to the doctor, you don't know what's wrong with you. He says, I think this is wrong with you.
But if you take this every four.
Hours, you'll feel better. And even after you feel better, keep on taking it.
Because we want to make sure whatever's.
Wrong with you eventually go away.
And then there's some medication. They'll tell you, well, you know what? You got this.
And you're going to be on that.
Medication for the rest of your life. And you've got to take these pills.
Every four hours for the rest of your life or every day of your life. Because if you don't, it's going to.
Come on you again. You going to die.
You don't want to die.
So you take that medication every four hours. You set your alarm and, and you get up in the morning. The first thing you do is grab that glass of water and the pill next to your nightstand. Because you're going to make sure that you take that pill every day. And even when you feel better, you ain't going to make no mistakes about it. You're going to take that pill. What would happen if you medicated on the word of God? That you wake up in the morning and you begin to declare that by the stripes of Jesus, I'm here healed. Jesus took my sickness, took my infirmities. He bore them on his own body on a tree. And by his stripes I am healed. What would happen if you took the word of God every four hours like clockwork? God, I thank you that by your stripes I'm healed. Father, I thank you. That healing belongs to me. Because of what Jesus did on the cross, I believe I received, receive my healing now, Father, I thank you. What would happen if you medicate on the word of God day and night? He said, you will make your way.
Prosperous and you will have good success.
And then you know, you have that.
Medication that is time sensitive.
You take it and they'll say you take it in the morning, but it.
Might not kick in till that evening.
I'm telling you, when you get the word of God.
Let's go back to Mark 11. Jesus see a fig tree afar off. He sees that it has leaves on it. He's hoping there'll be figs. There's no figs on it. Jesus answers the tree, no man will eat figs from you hereafter. Forever.
Forever.
And the disciples heard it. And the Bible said, and presently, and immediately the tree withers away.
They didn't see the tree withered away till the next day.
And they called to remember. Peter remembered what Jesus said, oh, my God. When you get a doctor's report, when.
You get a credit report, when you get a teacher's, a banker's report, remember what Jesus said. Peter called to remembrance what Jesus said. He said, lord, that tree, you curse it has withered away. Jesus said, have faith in God now. The moment Jesus spoke to that tree.
Immediately the tree withered away.
It said, presently it was dried up from the roots. They didn't see the results of what they said to the next day. Listen, when you realize who you are, when you take the word of God, you medicate in it. You may not see the results right away, but you got to know on the inside of you when you say, when you speak it. Presently you're going to see what you said when you speak it immediately things are happening in the atmosphere. You may not see the manifestation of it till the next day, but it happened the day I said it. You may not see it happen to the next week, but it happened the day I said it. It's time sensitive. There is a manifestation of every word that God has spoken to you. It will come to pass. You will see manifestations of his word. They didn't see the tree with it.
Away until the next day, but it happened when Jesus said it. You may not see manifestations of the moment you said, but it happened the moment you said it. And you got to realize it happened the moment you said said it. You will see the manifestations of God's word. The moment you open your mouth, God begins to declare some things in the atmosphere. He backs up what you said. He says in Mark 11, 24 and 24 again he says, therefore I Say unto you whatsoever things you desire when you pray, when you say believe, you receive and you shall have it. He said, when you say it, believe it. Somebody say, believe it. Somebody say, believe what you say. What am I saying? You gotta have what you say before you have what you say.
You gotta believe. You gotta believe you have it.
You have whatsoever you say, you know. In Mark, chapter nine is the story of the man who brought his son to Jesus to cast the devil out. And so, I'm sorry, he brings us to his disciples first for him to cast the devil out. He's believing God for the deliverance of his son. You know, it's something. When you're believing God for your children's deliverance. I mean, you're desperate. You want something changed. And, you know, you think about it when you want your children delivered, more importantly, I think it affects you so much, you're the one that really need to be delivered. Because if you have a child that has a lunatic spirit, how many know you need to be delivered? And so he has this son. He brings him to disciples to cast the devil out, and nothing happens. You ever pray for something and nothing happens? Don't raise your hand. I just told you, something's always happening in the atmosphere. So he says, nothing happens. Jesus comes down from Mount Transfiguration and he sees the commotion, the crowd of people around his disciples, and he says, like, what's going on? And they said, lord, I brought. The man said, I brought my son to your disciples to cast the devil out. But nothing happened. And Jesus said, how long will I suffer you?
How long I have to put up with you, you perverse generation?
What is a perverse generation? It is a generation that has no faith.
How long must I suffer you, you perverse generation? He said, bring them to me.
He brings his son to Jesus. And he said, how long has he been like this? He said, he's been like this for a long time. You've been in a situation in your life where you've been like that for a very long time.
He said he's been like that since.
He was a child. He said many times the devil tries to throw him in the fire, throw.
Him in the water.
He's trying to kill him and destroy him. Lord, if you can do anything, have compassion on us. And Jesus turns him back around to encourage this man's faith that he had.
That his son would be delivered. And Jesus said to him, can you believe anything? He said, lord, can you do anything? Jesus says, can you believe anything? I mean, you're in this situation, you need the help of God. God, can you do anything with my husband? Can you do anything with my wife? Can you do anything about my finances? God, can you do anything? And if you can do. If you can do anything, God have compassion on us. Jesus said, can you believe anything? All things are possible to him that can believe.
He said, lord, I believe, but help my unbelief. Everybody gets to that place where you're believing God and this doesn't seem like anything is manifesting.
But God, help my unbelief.
What is happening here?
He said, God, don't let me be moved by what I see.
Why? Because the sun starts rolling on the.
Floor and foaming at the mouth. Lord, I believe you, but help me not to be moved by what I see. Help me not to be moved by what I hear. Help my unbelief.
Jesus cast the devil out of the little boy and he falls down dead. And they say he's dead. Jesus takes him by the hand and presents him to his father. His disciples are amazed, Lord, how come we couldn't do that? Jesus. The same story is found in Matthew, chapter 17. Jesus said, because of your unbelief, there's no manifestations in your life when you don't believe. He said, because of your unbelief. Another message translation said, because you don't take God serious enough. You don't take God seriously. Touch your neighbor, say, you gotta take God serious. Say you gotta take God at his word. That was courageous faith to come to Jesus to see his child delivered from the demonic oppression that was in his life. Simply by believing and understanding that all things are possible to him that can believe. Matthew, chapter nine, Last story. And I'll share something with you, some testimony. We got so many. Matthew, chapter nine. Y' all know the story of Jairus, the ruler of the synagogue. Courageous faith. The rulers of the synagogue have nothing to do with Jesus and don't want to be seen with him. But when you have a daughter at home at the point of death, you're courageous enough to don't care what anybody has to say about you, what anybody thinks about you. You don't care what anybody says. I don't care. I know they tell me I shouldn't go to this church, but you don't know what I need. And so I'm courageous enough to come to Jesus to get what I need from him. And he comes to Jesus, said, lord, if you will come to my house.
Lay your hands on my daughter, I.
Know she will be made healed she will be made whole. Courageous faith. Jesus seized his faith and said, I will come. And you can imagine. Just imagine with me. I wish I had time to really illustrate this for you, but imagine with me. You know, Jesus is not like, he's just walking down the street and Jairus just walks up to him. Jesus is with his 12 boys. And not only is Jesus with his 12 boys, there's always a crowd that's following Jesus to get healed, to be.
Delivered, to get some bread, some food, some fish, something.
There's always a crowd with him. Well, you can imagine Jairus is not by himself. There's some people from his household, people from the synagogue.
Jairus, where you going? What you doing? He's a ruler of the synagogue. He's not by himself.
He's got his own crowd.
There's a great crowd of people, and it's echoing through that crowd. Hey, what's going on? Because when you see a crowd, you.
Want to know what you know, how y' all are. You nosy.
You want to know what's going on over there? Jesus is going to Jairus house. His daughter's at the point of death. He believes that if Jesus lays his hands on her, she will be made whole. You're kidding me. No. I'm going to see this. They all following Jesus. And this crowd is getting bigger and bigger. And there's a woman that steps out of her doctor's office. She sees this great big crowd, and she's like, what's going on? Jesus is going to Jairus House. He's going to lay his hands on his daughter, and she will be made whole. And she says within herself, courageous faith. Says, if I could just touch the hem of his garment, I know I will be made whole. Courageous faith. She has no business out in the street. She has no business in a crowd. And there's no business touching anybody. But she was pressed to be healed. I'm telling you, when your niece is something from God, you got to learn how to press into his presence. You need to learn how to press to get what you need from God. Yes, I'm pressed. Courageous, faith. Fearless. What can man do unto me? I'm already dying. I spent everything I had. If I could just get to Jesus, if I could just touch the hem of his garment, I know I will be made whole. She presses through that crowd, and she touches him. And immediately, somebody say, immediately. I hope y' all are getting this. Immediately. Jesus spokes, speaks to a fig tree, and immediately it withered away. She said, if I could touch Him. And immediately she was made whole. So you're looking for your immediately in a manifestation in this physical. But you got to know that when you open your mouth, when you release faith, that's your immediately. That's your suddenly. That is your now. Faith is the substance of things hoped for. It is the evidence of something I cannot see. I don't need to see it to know it's so. My faith is my assurance. It's my confirmation. It's my title, deed of the things I hope for. It's the proof of something I cannot see and the conviction of its reality. Faith perceives as real fact what has not been revealed to my senses. I don't need to see it to know it.
So.
Don'T need to touch it to know it. So that's my suddenly. That's my immediately. That's my now faith. Immediately she knew the fountain of that.
Blood was tried up.
Jesus knew that virtue had gone out of him.
And he said, who touched me? Wait a minute. Jesus, there's a lot of people in Redemption this morning. What do you mean, who touched you? He said, there's a lot of people crowded around you.
He said, I know there's a crowd here, but ain't nobody, not everybody in here touching me. He said, but there's somebody that touched me. There's somebody when they lift their hands, they weren't thinking about chicken. They weren't thinking about what they're doing after service. They weren't thinking about anything. There was somebody that in this crowd that touched me. And he knew that virtue had gone out of him. He knew virtue had left him.
Who touched me. And the Bible said he turned around to see her and she fearing trimly coming to Jesus. He said, I had an issue of blood for many years. I didn't even get any better or get any worse. I didn't even get. I got worse. I spent everything I had. And all of a sudden she gives her whole testimony, says, daughter, your faith has made you whole.
Your faith has made you whole.
And while he's talking to this woman.
Here comes somebody from Jairus House and say, hey, don't trouble the master any longer.
Your daughter is dead.
Jesus, arrest the thought. He said, be not afraid. Be courageous. Stand on what you believe in spite of the circumstances. Be not afraid, only believe. Doesn't matter what they say. Be not afraid, only believe.
He goes and gets to Jairus House.
And there's a crowd of people, another.
A bigger crowd of people at Jairus House.
And they're weeping and they're crying, there's a big tumult and they just going crazy because this little girl has died. Jesus said, why are you making this such a great tumult? He said, this woman, this girl is not dead. She's only sleeping. And the same people that were crying uncontrollably begins to laugh. I'm telling you, when you're going through something and your marriage is getting ready to break up or you lost something, you people will cry with you. But when you stand flat footed in faith and you begin to declare the word of God, they'll laugh at you. They'll say, that's not going to happen for you. Who do you think you are? They don't mind crying with you. They don't have no belief. Sometimes you will stand and be standing alone in your belief. They begin to laugh. And you got to do what Jesus did. Put them out. You gotta put them all out. Jesus put them all out. He says, little girl, get up.
My time.
Little girl, get up.
She gets up. He presents her to her daughter.
And I'm telling the Bible said it echoed throughout that crowd. It was published throughout all of that crowd. What happened? Jesus was going to Jairus house to lay his hands on her daughter and he was going to raise her up. She was at the point of death. And while he was going, there was a woman that had an issue of blood. All she did was touch the hem of his garment and she was made whole. And while he was talking to her, a report came that Jairus daughter died. And Jesus went to the house and raised her from the dead. And that crowd began to testify of God's goodness and his mercy. And in that crowd there was two blind men that heard that testimony. And they began to cry out, Jesus, thy son of God, David, have mercy on me. I heard all the things that they were doing at the Fearless conference. People got healed, people got delivered. People got set free. Jesus, thy son of David, have mercy on me. They begin to cry out, have mercy on me. And the crowd said, shut up, be quiet. And those blind men said, no, you ain't blind. Jesus, thy son of David, have mercy. It don't take all that. You ain't gotta shout like that. You don't know what I've been through. You don't know what I'm going through. Jesus, thy son of David, have mercy. Have mercy on me. Courageous faith. When everybody's telling you to shut up, sit down, be quiet. You cry the louder. And Jesus says to the blind men, do you believe I am able to do this you coming to me. But do you believe I'm able? They say, yeah, Lord, we believe.
He said, according to your word, according to your word, you have.
Whatsoever you say according to your word, be it unto you.
And immediately their eyes were open. Hallelujah.
Here's another translation. He said, do you believe I'm able?
And he said, yes, Lord, yes.
Yes, Lord, we believe now.
He said, now become what you believe.
When you believe something, you walk differently, you talk differently. You're not the same same anymore. He said, become what you believe. I know what they said, but become what you believe in spite of what everybody is saying about you. Become what you believe.
It is so important for you and I to receive what God has said about you and not what somebody else has said about you.
How do you know?
Listen to me, my last word point. How do you know you're walking in faith? How do you even know that you really believe God? I mean, you could parakeet something, but.
How do you know it's down on.
The inside of you? How do you know you have what you say? When you have what you say, you always hear me. Don't ever forget this. Always have a heart of thanksgiving. Always have a praise on your lips.
There's no way you can release faith.
And be sad and depressed.
You're always thankful. And your. Your attitude toward God is, I thank.
You for my healing, God.
I thank you for my deliverance.
I thank you for what you've done for me.
I thank you for my children. I thank you, Lord God, I'm so grateful. Oh, God, I give you praise for what you've done. There is nothing like you, Lord God. Nobody can deliver like you. Nobody can save like you. Nobody can heal like you, God, I thank you.
Always having a praise on your lips. I'll share this quick testimony, a quick one. You know, you can have a seat. Pastor Tony and I, you know, we are. Oh, wow, Jesus. We believe God for so many things. I've seen God do some amazing things in our lives, but this is one of those. One of those things I'll share because it was at a time where we really needed something and it looked like. Almost looked like it wasn't going to happen in the timing in which we needed it. And so it was. I know you may not be believing God for a jet, but we were at the time. And at that time, we travel a lot of different places, and we were believing God for a jet to continue to do what he called us to do. And I'll make a long story Short. And so this was back in 2001, when we were from the Washington, D.C. area. And so it wasn't very easy to fly everywhere. There are times you could go to the airport and they would shut it down because they just didn't know what was going to happen. So we really started believing God for a jet. And so we went to a service, and we were sowing seed and believing God. And I remember this one time we went to this place, Pastor Tony said, let's sow the biggest seed we've ever sown before for this. And so we did. We wrote a check, and we put it on the altar. And we were going back to our seats, and we were about to sit down, and before we could sit down all the way, a man of God walked over to us and said, God's been dealing with me all day and told me to give you my plane. Hallelujah. And it was. I was super excited about it. It's gonna get better even than that, but I know that's my testimony. So.
Wow, a jet. Yeah.
Praise God. And so Pastor Tony was quiet. He didn't say anything.
And I was like, did you hear what he said?
He says, I know, but God's still talking to me. And so I'm like, okay. And so two months later, somebody said, two months later, he said, God said, don't stop believing. He said, two months later, we go down to Atlanta because we have to minister there again. And we get there, and Dr. Dallas told us to meet us at his hangar. And he's showing us around his hangar and the jets and planes that he has. And he said, I just bought this one. We said, oh, that's wonderful. It's great. We go up in it. We sit down in it. He said, how do you like it? I said, this is really nice. We're really happy for you. He said, guess what? And we said, what? He said, it's yours.
Hallelujah. Glory to God.
And so fast forward. This is where I'm getting to right now. Fast forward 10 years, 10, 11 years later, we're flying and we're flying our jets, and, you know, God is blessing. And then the engine timed out on the jets. You know, it's not like a car when your car break down and you just ride it till you can't drive it no more, and you just leave it on the side of the road. You can't do a plane like that. You can't leave it on the side of the sky. You won't make it. You won't make it. And so he said, you either need to get new engines or get a new one. And so we thought about it, and Pastor Tony said, I want to. I want to get another plane. And he says, okay, because we didn't know how much an engine would cause. Hundreds of thousands of dollars. And so he says, can you have a certain time after a certain time, we can't fly these anymore. We said, okay. We just, you know, we started looking at Jess looking at them and pricing them. And at the same time, we're in another building project. We've already built another one location. Now we're in the middle of building another location. Millions of dollars. Deal. And then we, you know, we just like, okay, God, how are we going to do all of this? And do we just. And then it just dawned on us. Wait, wait. He gave us the first one for free. He gave us the second one for free.
And I heard somewhere, if God did it once, oh, somebody ought to testify. He will do it. He would do it again. Glory to God. It's called the God of breakthrough. When you break through in certain areas of your life, God knows how to keep that door open and for you to experience all that God has for you.
And so we get to the 11th hour. I said, God, I believe, but help my unbelief, Jesus.
We got a lot of things we.
Gotta do, but God, I believe. And so God would always give you a word that will anchor your soul, to not allow you to be moved and experience courageous faith to act in accordance to what you believe. So I know the power of a testimony. I begin to testify of how God gave us the first two and how we believe God to do it again. You know, there's some times you will give, you know, your tests that you go through and the trials you go through in life, it will turn into a test testimony. But then sometimes your testimony becomes a test, and I begin to testify the goodness of God and how he's done so many awesome things in our lives. It's those times in your life where you gotta count your blessings and remember the good things that God has done.
For you, knowing that he's done it once, he'll do it again.
We're at that 11th hour, and I say, God, we need a word. He took me to Second Kings, chapter three of the story of Jon the king, who was very wicked in the sight of the Lord. He was Ahab's son on top of all of that. And the Moabites were paying him taxes, so to speak. A hundred thousand rams and sheep and stuff.
And when Ahab died, they no longer.
Wanted to pay him. So he's angry. He wants to go after the Moabites and destroy them. So he goes to Jehoshaphat, the King of Judah, and said, I need you to fight with me. And Jehoshaphat is a great. He does what's right in the sight of the Lord. He says, okay, my horses, your horses. My people, your people. I'm with you. Which way are we going to go? He said, we're going to go by the way of the wilderness, through the Edomites, and we're going to have them to fight with us. They go out there. They're in the wilderness for seven days, and they run out of water. They don't know what to do. And Joram says, you know, the Lord brought us here to kill us. And Jehoshaphat said, no, there's got to be somebody that knows how to hear from God.
There's somebody that can be able to.
Tell us the will of God. They said, there's a man named Elijah who pours water over the hands of Elisha. Maybe he could tell us. So they go to Elijah, and Elijah sees him, and he says to Jordan, why are you here? Why don't you go and get answers from your prophets of your father and of your mother? What are you doing here? I have no respect for you. If it wasn't Jehoshaphat, I wouldn't even say speak to you. So he said, call for the minstrel. I'm telling you, praise. And your worship is so important to God to be able to hear what God is saying, not your whining and your crying. You can't hear through all of that. It is through worship that God will give you answers on the wings of your worship. He said, call for the minstrel. He said, I want you to make.
This valley full of ditches. He said, you won't see wind and.
You won't see rain, but your ditch will be full of water. And that's but a light thing in the sight of the Lord. I'm telling you, my spirit jumped on the inside of me.
I heard the Lord say, cynthia, you.
Won'T see wind and you won't see rain. You won't know how it's going to happen, when it's going to happen.
You just dig your ditch. Keep digging your ditch. My ditch was sowing my seed, giving him praise. He said, you keep at it, your ditch will be full of water.
And this is a light thing in the sight of the Lord. And I'm telling you, within that week, somebody called our church. I don't even know them, don't even know their name. Couldn't call them out to this day. He said, I want to donate my jet to your ministry.
Hallelujah.
I know that's my testimony, but you.
Ought to give God a bigger shout.
Of praise than that.
Hallelujah. Because I'm telling you, you may not need a jet. I don't know what you need, but you won't see wind and you won't see rain, but your ditch will be full of water. And that is a light thing in the sight of the Lord. Courageous faith. Listen, you may not need a judge. Let me bring it down to where you are.
It was a few months ago, and this is, like, so important to me. A few months ago. I gotta tell it the next story. My time is up. She wants to hear the. She wants to hear the last part of this. Last. How many want to hear this? There's a point to this, and I'm take two seconds to do this. A few months ago, my daughter came to me. First of all, I had a pastor friend to come visit me. And when she came to visit me, she bought me three tubes of toothpaste. Like, who brings toothpaste to somebody? I was like. She says, can you use some toothpaste? And I was like, no, but thank you. And so my daughter comes to me and she says, mom, do you have any toothpaste? And I'm like, what?
I just so happen to have three tubes of toothpaste. So I give her all three, and she's extra.
She says, you wouldn't believe what happened to me.
I said, what?
She said, I gave a friend of mine a tube of toothpaste, my last tube of toothpaste, and now you've given me three tubes of toothpaste.
This is, like, so awesome. And I said, girl, you don't understand. I said, let me tell you something. Not only is he the God of the toothpaste, but he's the God of the toilet paper. Because I can remember. Listen to me, y'.
All.
There was 30, 35 years ago, Pastor Tony and I, we ran out of toilet paper in our home. He said, baby, we can't run out of toilet paper. I said, I know, but we don't have anymore. And all we have is at that time was $5 in the bank. I said, if we take the $5 out, it'll close the account. So we just have to believe God. So we grabbed our hands together. And we said, father, we thank you that you provide everything that we need whenever we need it. And so, God, we thank you that you'll give us toilet paper. We believe we receive toilet paper. And I'm telling you, within the hour somebody knocks on our door, a friend from church said, listen, I just got a job at Procter Gamble and they gave me some samples. Can you use a case of toilet paper? I'm telling you, he's the God of the toilet paper no matter what you need in your life. But understand this truth. Hear me. I was just as thankful for the toilet paper as I am the jet. It was the same faith. Same faith for the toilet paper, same faith for the jet. It did not change my praise and my thanksgiving was the same. Be thankful in those little things in your life and the big things will always be manifest in your life. He is the God of the toilet paper and whatever you need from him.
