Cynthia Brazelton | Wonderfully Free | Untangled Conference 2023

A transcript of a sermon-style talk by Cynthia Brazelton titled “Wonderfully Free,” delivered at the Untangled Conference 2023 (YouTube). The speaker preaches about Christian freedom in Christ: standing firm in the liberty Christ provided, seeing believers as already redeemed and translated into God’s kingdom, renewing the mind to think heavenly realities, practical disciplines (trust, praise, forgiveness, making Christ Lord over areas of life), and testimonies illustrating faith (e.g., claim to property without a down payment). The tone is pastoral, exhortational, and devotional, emphasizing identity, spiritual authority, and experiential faith.
Chapters
God does not talk to your flesh. He talks to your spirit. Everything that you need, God's already given you the download for it. When I release faith, it's not because I'm believing God to do something. I know he's already done it. I get to commune and fellowship with the almighty God. God being the Elohim, the all creator that God is in living in the inside of me. And whatever God has for me, he's already deposited. I get to commune with God and see the reality of what he put in me. Good morning. Good morning. Thank you so much. I am just so honored and so blessed to be here with you again this morning. It has been a tremendous blessing to be in the house of God with my dear friend, Apostle Hope Carpenter. I know you all just sat down, but can we stand and give the woman of God for that powerful word that she just preached this morning? Praise God. And if you're free in the house, can we get God some praise in this place? Hallelujah. Glory to God. Thank you Lord. You may have your seat again. I'm so for my allotted time. I'm just so great. You're going to hear probably some of the same scriptures, but I pray that this word would resonate within you. And I know that it's going to be a lot of food for thought for us to take home with us and just medicate on the word of God so that it can become a part of our lives and what God wants to do. We shed off some things this morning. Amen. Praise God. And let's put on some stuff this morning so we can walk and continue to walk in the freedom that God has created us to walk in. If you would just while you're sitting there, bow your head in prayer with me. Father, I'm so grateful, so thankful once again to be in this place where the people of God are to sit at your feet, Lord Jesus, and to hear your word. What we believe to know to be life changing changing word. I'm asked for the anointing of the Holy Spirit to rest upon my life and upon the people of God that are here. Cause a change to shift and take place on the inside of us so that we can walk in the freedom that you've already purchased for every single one of us. Let us not leave this place the same, but let us leave this place, Lord God, changed by the word of God. You said anytime that we can see it, hear it and understand it, our lives can be changed. So we thank you for it today and for this God we give you praise. Praise and much thanksgiving. And let everybody in the house say Amen. Amen. Amen again. I'm so blessed and so honored to be here with Pastor Hope this morning. She is a tremendous blessing in my life and to our church as well. She has preached at a lot of our women's conference, and the women have been transformed as a result of it. I know that you all have as well. And so I'm glad to partner with her here at this conference and opening up what God has for us. Somebody shout untangled. Glory to God. That is the objective for the weekend, that we walk away untangled, no longer bound by the enemy, but experience everything that God has for us. And I'm so glad to be on this platform again with Dr. Janice. God bless you. Praise God. I know we just gonna fly home today, this afternoon, thank the Lord. But if you would open your Bibles with. You're gonna hear it quite a bit in Galatians, chapter 5, verse 1. And it says, stand therefore in the liberty by which Christ has set us free, and do not be entangled with a yoke of bondage. So Paul is writing to the church of Galatia, and he is telling them to stand fast. And he's given them something that they could do, something that they could make a reality in their lives. He literally giving them a different mindset. And this is a word that you're going to hear this morning is that in order for you and I to stand fast, you have got to have a steadfast mindset. Now, to be steadfast, it means to be firm, fixed, or have a settled position. Somebody say firm, Fixed. A settled position. So he is telling us to stand firm or have a fixed or settled position in the liberty in which Christ has made us free and do not be entangled again with the yokes of bondage. Now, there are all kinds of yokes of bondage, and you heard Pastor Hope this morning, but there are yokes of bondages in every area of your life, where your marriage, finances, your health, all these things are concerned. Jesus said he's given us a word for you and I to be firmed by fixed. And it has a settled position where those things are concerned. So you're no longer yoked by the enemy in those areas of your life. I believe that there is some things about our life I am discovering, and I've been in ministry this year, celebrating 40 years in ministry, and I am discovering and learning some things about myself, and I'm learning things about ministry and that I Have literally, God is now allowing, opening our eyes to see through the lens of the word of God and to see things from God's perspective. And I know that there are things about your life that you are yet. That you have yet to discover, especially if you were. I said, if you were yoked in any kind of way in your life, there are things about you that have yet to be seen. Seeing that God wants to unveil to you and I so you can walk in the freedom that Jesus has purchased for you and I. The Bible says in First Corinthians, chapter 2, verse 9, that your eyes have not seen, your ears have not heard, it has not entered your heart the things that God has prepared for those that love him but God. Hallelujah. But God wants to reveal those things, things to you by the Spirit of God. He wants to reveal the things that God has placed on the inside of you that you can walk in the freedom that God has for your life so you can experience the totality of who God created and made you to be. And God said, I want you to know the things that have been freely given unto you. Somebody shout free. So there are some situations in your life that God has already prepared. Line up your freedom so when the enemy comes, you'll be able to tap into what the spirit of God has placed on the inside of you and walk in that freedom. And so again, there are things about you that God wants to unveil, God wants to unlock in your life. But you have got to be firm, you've got to be fixed, and you got to have a settled position. In other words, you got to use your faith. It takes the faith of God to receive what Jesus has already provided for you. And where your faith is concerned, your faith is believing what God has already done. Somebody said, he's already done it. Come on, say he's already done it. This might catch up with you later. But he's already done it. Somebody shout, I'm already free. I'm already delivered. And so God gives you his faith to cause you to be firm, fixed, and not move from the position that God has placed you in. Whatever God speaks to you when he gives you a word from God, God wants you to stand on that word till that word becomes who you are. And nothing can move you from that position. Though you may have opposition that will try to bind you or try to keep you yoked in a position. God says, I'll give you the word of God to free you and cause the reality of it to come to pass. In your life. There was. It was several years ago. This came to me several years ago. Pastor Tony and I, my husband and I, we were believing God for some things. We're believing God every day for something. And so here's this time. Years and years ago, we were leaving God for some property and we wanted to build our home on. And so we looked and had a realtor looking for us. And some of you. Anybody looking for a house or property? Just a few of you. I see some hands out there. Anybody look, I know y' all looking for it in the house. The whole house is looking. Amen. Praise God. So we were. And a realtor shows us this property, we get. We go to this place and they show us this property. And it's in my area, and I live in the Washington, D.C. maryland area. Having a lot of property is not a. Is not that out there like that that you can hardly find. But here they find me 110 acres, and I'm like, wow, this is awesome. So I drive, and it's cut in a cut somewhere. I drive on this property, and I just feel God. I just said, I know this is God. And so we drive on the property. We get there, the owner is there, they showing us the round on the property. And the owner says to us, I just feel like this property belonged to you. And I said, oh, Lord, this is God. Hallelujah. And I'm feeling the presence of God. And I was like, oh, go. Thank you. I believe I received this property right here. And then I said, let's sign the contracts. Let's just put a. Put a contract on the property and everything. We did that. And we go back, and then the realtor says to us, okay, well, the bank says that they want you to put at least down 20% on the property, but you can put down more if you want. How much do you want to put down on the property? And so I'm thinking, I don't know. And they said, well, they at least want 20%, which was about $200,000 to put down. And I said, okay. And then I don't have $2,000, let alone $200,000. So they said, well, how much do you want to put down? I said, I don't know, God. I just believe that you brought us here. I believe this belongs to us. So, God, I'm going, let's go to the next step. God, how much do you want us to put down on the property? Because I don't have anything. And the Lord said, nothing. And I said, Nothing. He said, nothing. I said, I can do that. I got that. I got nothing. So it's okay, God, I can do that. So I go back to them. They said, how much you putting down? I said, nothing. They said, no, you can't buy almost a $2 million piece of property and put nothing down. I know. I know that. But the Lord said nothing. And they said, well, you're not going to get that property. I said, no, no, no. It's already mine. You don't understand. It's already mine. When God gave me the okay, it was already mine. I don't know if y' all are hearing me today, but there are some things that will keep you in bondage what yoke you to certain things. But when you got a word from God, it doesn't matter what anybody else have to say about it, but you got to stand on, be firmed and fixed on the word that God gives you. And so these people that I'm dealing with, they're born again believers. And they telling me, you're not gonna get the property if you don't put anything down. And so I couldn't even look to them for anything. I had to look to God. And we just stood on the word of God. And so they said, well, let's go see. And they went from bank to bank to bank. And everybody said, no, no, no, no, no. I said, I don't care what anybody else said. God says, yes. And then they go to the owner and say, you want to look at some other contracts? There are people that are asking and for giving you more. And they said, no, this property belongs to the Brazeltown. They don't even know me. But God knows your name. God knows who you are. Hallelujah. And so I just got an impression on the inside of me. And I said, God, I need a word from you. I need something to show up which you are speaking to me. And he took me to Psalms 112, 7, 8, and it's different versions of it, but here's what he's saying. He said he shall. His heart is fixed. He's not afraid. I'm sorry. He's not afraid when he hears bad news. You're not afraid when you hear bad news. Your heart is fixed, trusting in the Lord. God, you are courageous and brave, and you will see your enemies defeated. Hallelujah. So he gives me this word. And so I'm no longer afraid because of the bad news that I'm hearing. And I get this impression to call a friend of mine that I haven't talked to in a while. And she's like, hey, how you doing? I'm like, great. How are you doing? She said, what you been doing? I said, nothing. She said, what's happening with you? I said, I just. I'm just. I'm getting ready to buy a piece of property. We're going to build our home on it. She says, well, who's doing your finances? I said, I don't know yet. She said, well, let me do it. I said, I need you to know I'm not putting any money down. And it's almost $2 million. She said, oh, don't worry about it. You got it. I tell you, when your heart is fixed, this works in every area of your life. How many got a word from God for a promise? When your heart is fixed firm, and you have this settled position, you will not be moved by anything but what God has spoken and what God has said to you. And God's word has declared to you. Stand fast in the liberty in which Christ has set you free. Somebody say, I'm free. Come on, say it like you mean it this morning. Say, I'm already free. Listen, you're not trying to get free. You are already free. You gotta get this revelation. You're already free. He says it this way in Colossians, chapter 1, verse 13. He said, who have delivered us from the powers of darkness and has translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son. He hath delivered us. Somebody said, I've been delivered. This is past tense. He's letting you know that God has already delivered you. If you are bound by anything, here's the revelation of whatever you're going through. You already been delivered. Hallelujah. He has delivered you from the power of darkness. This word darkness there means darkness is not a force. It's just an absence of light. There is darkness in your life because you don't know. You don't have no light on it. You are believing the lies of the enemy. It means to be confused. You have been delivered from the lies of the enemy. You've been delivered from the confusion that comes from. From the enemy. And you have been translated into the kingdom of his dear Son. Now, to be translated means to go from one state of being into another state of being. Just think about it. The children of Israel, they're in Egypt, and Egypt is a type of the world. And they're being in bondage by Pharaoh, who is a type of the devil. God raises up among them Moses, who is a type of deliverer, to go in and tell the. And tell Pharaoh to let my people go. And after signs and wonders and miracles, eventually the enemy lets the people of God go. And can you imagine? I need you to imagine with me. One day they're in bondage, and the next day they're free. When they leave out of Egypt, they were poor, they were slaves. But the next day they go out with all the spoils of the Egyptians. Hallelujah. Can you imagine such a thing? There was one day you were sick. One day you were blind. One day you were broke and disgusted, and the next day your eyes were open. The next day you were totally free. The next day you were no longer sick. But now you're healed. The Bible says in Psalm 105 that there was not one feeble one among them. Because when God sets you free, you are free indeed. Hallelujah. And he said that he has delivered us from the powers of darkness and have translated us into the kingdom. Somebody said, I'm living in the kingdom. You are in the kingdom of his dear Son. You and I get to occupy two worlds. You are in this world, but you are not of it. You come from above, not from beneath. You are in the kingdom of his dear Son. And God has placed you and I as citizens of the kingdom. And as citizens of the kingdom, you have rights and privileges. And one of the things that God has made available to to you is that you are free. Hallelujah. You are free. And he has translated you in his kingdom to experience the freedom that comes from God. Verse 14 says, in whom we have redemption through this blood, even the forgiveness of sin, sin being the very thing that will keep you in bondage. But in him we have redemption. Somebody said, I've been redeemed. Say it like you mean it. What does it mean to be redeemed? I've been set free. You have been redeemed. In him we have redemption. You have been set free no longer under the bondages of sin and death. You have been redeemed. And my Bible tells me in Psalm 107 he says, Blessed. He said, if you would turn, turn to that scripture, Psalm 107, verse 1. It says, oh, give thanks unto the Lord, for he is good and his mercy endures forever. Hallelujah. Let the redeemed of the Lord. Somebody ought to say so. Somebody said, let the redeemed of the Lord say so. Let the redeemed of the Lord say so. What is say so? Say so means a power, act of deciding or allowing something. You have the right to decide or to allow some things to happen in your life. And he said to them, oh, give thanks unto the Lord, for he is good and his mercy endures forever. You ought to say so. What am I saying? Oh, give thanks unto the Lord, for he is good and his mercy endures forever. For he has redeemed us from the hands of the enemy. I'm out of the hands of the enemy. He has no plot in my life. He only has what you allow him. But when you have the light of the revelation of the word of God, you realize that you are free in every area, in every aspect aspect of your life. Let the redeemed of the Lord somebody say, say so. You ought to say so. This morning, somebody shout, I've been redeemed. And I love it. Because what they're saying is, oh, give thanks unto the Lord, for he is good. You heard Pastor Hope preach it this morning. For his mercy endures forever. It is the mercy of God, God that you and I receive that causes the yokes of bondages, the yokes of sin to free us. It is his mercy. And I love the fact that, yes, it is new every day. As great as God's mercy is, as wonderful as his mercy is in our lives every single day. He wakes you up every morning with new mercy. And that mercy allows you to stay out of the hands of the enemy and allows you to live this free life that God has given every single one of us his mercy. And so we ought to give thanks to the Lord. Somebody ought to shout right now. We give thanks to the Lord God, because your mercy endures forever. Hallelujah. You remember the story in Second Chronicle, Chapter 20, and King Jehoshaphat, he hears about a whole bunch of armies that are coming out against him to take him out of his land, to make them slaves again. And the Bible says when Jehoshaphat hears about it, he's afraid. Fear grips him. And so he gathers all the people together. And I'm making kind of like a long story short, he gathers all the people together. He asks everybody to begin to fast and pray, pray and to seek the Lord God. And he cries out to God, he says, God, you see these armies that are coming against you? We don't know what to do, but our eyes are on you, Lord God. And Jehoshaphat begins to pray a powerful prayer that was prayed in Solomon's day and time when Solomon was king. He said, God, you said, if the enemy will come against us in any way if we just look to you, God, you said you would Deliver us, God. We don't know what to do about this marriage. I don't know what to do about my finances. I don't know what to do about the debt. I don't know what to do about this sickness. But, God, my eyes are upon you. And they begin to fast and pray and to seek the Lord. And the prophet of God comes to the people of God and they said, hey, don't worry about the enemy. You don't need to fight in this battle. This battle is not yours. It is the Lord's. I'm telling you, you're fighting a fight that belongs to God. This battle is not yours. It is the Lord's. All you have to do is stand firm, fixed, have a settled position. All you gotta do is stand still and see the salvation. Oh, my God. Of the Lord, your God. Hallelujah. And Jehoshaphat gathers the people and say, did you hear what the prophet said? If you believe God, you'll be established, you'll be firm, you'll be fixed. You won't be moved by anything that comes against you. If you just believe God and if you believe the word of the prophet, so shall you prosper. Hallelujah. He said, if you believe you will prosper, then he consults with all the people. He said, do I got any praisers out there? Is there anybody that knows how to praise God? Even though you're going through some stuff? Does anybody knows how to praise God? In the beauty of his holiness? And he gathers all the singers, all time, the. The worshipers. I need the worshipers on the front line. He didn't ask if you know how to use a gun, if you know how to use a knife, if you know how to use a spear. He said, I just need somebody that know how to give God some praise. And if you know how to praise God, you will see your enemies defeated. I just need somebody in the place to give God some praise in this place. Hallelujah. Glory to God. Your praise is a weapon against the enemy. And if you learn how to praise him, it'll break the yokes off of your life. Praise the Lord, for he is good and his mercy endures forever. I love Jehoshaphat because he didn't say, you don't have to know all the words to the song. He said, I'm gonna give you the course. That's all you need, all you gotta say, the Lord is good and his mercy endures forever. That's all you gotta sing. And while they were singing, while they were praising, while they Were lifting up the name of Jesus. While you are here, while you are praising, while you are lifting up Jesus, God set an ambush against your enemy. And the devil that you saw earlier, you won't see it again. You just got to learn how to give God. We just got to learn how to praise Him. Cuz that enemy you saw today, you won't see anymore. In the valley that was a valley of despair now became a valley of blessings. I'm telling you, whatever held you back, whatever was joking you before God will take turning around for your good. He will cause your despair to become a blessing. Hallelujah. It will become a blessing in your life because God is good. Let the redeemed of the Lord. Hallelujah. Colossians, chapter one again, verse 13 and 14. The Message Bible says, says God rescued us from dead in alleys and dark dungeons. He set us up in the kingdom of the Son he loved so much. The Son who got us out of the pit we were in. He got rid of the sins we were doomed to repeat, to keep repeating. You have some repeated sins in your life. He brought you out of that. He got rid of the sin sins you would keep repeating. I told you, it's a revelation of understanding what Jesus did when he took on your sins on his own body on the tree. God took those things that he knew that you would keep repeating in your life and he nailed it to the cross. The reason why you keep repeating it because you don't realize it was nailed to the cross. But when God opens your eyes and enlighten you to what he took on in your life, you don't have to carry the weight of the yokes of the things that you keep repeating that's keeping you from receiving what he's already provided for you. And I. He nailed it to the cross. Hallelujah. Leviticus 26, 11 and 13. And the message Bible says I'll set them up in my residence and I'll set up my residence in your neighborhood, in your life. I won't avoid or shun you. I'll stroll through your streets. I'll be your God and you'll be my people. I am God, your personal God who rescued you from Egypt, the world system, so that you would no longer be slaves to the Egyptians or to the world. I ripped off the harness of your slavery so that you can move, move about freely. Hallelujah. I got rid of every yoke, everything that will hold you down. I got rid of everything that will enslave you so you can move around freely. Somebody ought to shout, I'm free. Hallelujah. God has set you and I free. Galatians 5, verse 1. In the passion translation, he says, let me be clear. The Anointed One has set us free, not partially but completely and wonderfully free. Somebody shout, I'm wonderfully free. You're not partially free. You are completely free. You are wonderfully free. We must always treasure this truth and stubbornly refuse to go back into bondage of our past. You gotta be stubborn. I'm not going back there with you again. I'm not doing that again. I'm not going there. God has set me free. And whom the Son has set free is free indeed. You and I are free. He made you and I when you made Jesus Christ the Lord of your life. You are free. Second Corinthians, chapter 5, verse 16 in the Amplified Bible says so. Consequently, from now on, we don't estimate or regard ourselves from just a purely human point of view in terms of natural standards of value. You can't put a value on your life based on simply on your humanity. If you're looking at only your humanity, you'll discover, yes, there are areas of your life where you are in bondage. But when you look at your life from heaven's point of view, when you see yourself the way God sees yourself, and not from a purely human point of view, you are not just a human being, you are a being, but you're more than human. You are a supernatural being made in the image, in the likeness of God. And so God says, I need you to see yourself through the lens of the word of God and what God has to say about you. And you have to see yourself the way God sees you. And God sees you through what Jesus Christ has provided for you in the finished work of Jesus. And you are free. Hallelujah. Somebody shout, I'm free. He goes on to say in verse 17, therefore, if any man, any person, is engrafted in Christ the Messiah, he is a new creation. That somebody said, I'm a new creation. You, a new creature altogether. You are new. Something unheard of, unprecedented. You are new species of being. That old man has passed away, and you know the story. Behold, all things are new. You are new. Now we are discovering the new who we are and who God created us to be. And you cannot discover, discover the new you looking at purely your humanity. You are citizens of the kingdom of heaven. God made you like himself. Jesus didn't just come as an example for us, he came as an example of us. And when you see Jesus? You see who God created and made you to be like. And so that old man has passed away. Let him rest and behold, all things are new and all things are of God who have reconciled us unto himself. God has brought us back in the favor of God to walk with him in this newness of life that he has given to us. Ephesians, chapter 4, verse 22. In the easy reading version, it says, you were taught to leave your old self. This means that you must stop living the evil way you lived before. Listen. You are taught to leave your old self. Stop living the way you used to live. That old self gets worse and worse because people are fooled by the evil they want to do. Because they don't understand that darkness is just a force. It's not a force, it's just the absence of light. It's a lie. The things, these evil things, it's a lie. If you believe the lie, you empower the liar in your life. But we are taught to leave that old life. There's a newness of life that God wants us to live in. The old man have passed away. All things are new and all things are of good God. The old self gets worse and worse because of people who are fooled by the evil way that evil they want to do. You must be made new in your hearts and in your thinking. Be that new person who was made to be like God. Somebody said I was made to be like God. Now you understand why there are so many things about us that we have yet to discover. There's so many things about us that we haven't seen yet, we haven't heard yet we haven't understood. The spirit of God wants to reveal to you the things that God has freely put on the inside of you. But nobody knows the spirit of a man except for the spirit that is in a man. Just like there's nobody that knows God except for the spirit of God that is in him. And then he says that you, now you and I have the ability of knowing because he's given us his mind. Now you gotta change yourself. You gotta be made to have this new heart. And the only way you do it is have a new way of thinking. You have to have a new heart and a new way of thinking. Why, as a man thinketh in his heart, so is he. Listen, if you don't like your so is he. Change the way you think. That's how simple it is. If you don't like the bondages that you're in, just simply change the way you think. You gotta think like God thinks. You gotta see yourself the way God sees you. Proverbs 4. 23 says, Be careful what you think. Your thoughts are controlling your life. It's not the bondage or the thing that the enemy is showing you or that you think that is controlling your life. It's, listen, it's not your husband that's controlling your life. It's not your finances that's controlling your life. It's not even your bad health that is controlling your life. It is simply the way you think. And if we can change the way we think. He says, be not conformed to this world, but be transformed. Saying word transformed, translated transformed by the renewing of your mind so that you can prove for yourself what is a good, acceptable and the perfect will of God for your life. Remember, Paul said, it's a kingdom mindset that you and I have to have in order for you to experience this freedom that God has for you. As long as you think it's something or someone that is holding you in bondage, you'll never get free. When you realize if I just change the way I think Ain't no chains holding me Hallelujah. I don't need money in the bank to get what God already said belongs to me. If I just change the way I think if I realize it was by his strife I were healed. I'm not trying to get healed. I were healed. And if I just change the way I think Jesus has provided, provided all things for you and I, all things that pertain to living life like God. He said, I just want you to live a life like God would have you to live. How do I do that? Change the way you think. Be careful what you think. Your thoughts are controlling your life. And so what do we do with those thoughts? We cast down those imaginations. We cast down anything that exalts itself against the knowledge of God. We bring those things into captivity, into obedience to the word of God. I know it looks like that, but God's word says this. I know it feels like that, but God's word says this. I know it looks like I heard what you said, but the word of God says this. You bring every thought, anything that is not the will of God for your life. You bring it into captivity and make it obey God's word. Be careful what you are thinking. Your thoughts are controlling your life. Your thoughts is the area of your soul. It's the control center of your life. God has put everything on the inside of your spirit that he has already made available to you. And I remember the Spirit is the one that is revealing to you the things that have been freely given to you of God. It's already on the inside of you. And so your mind has to be renewed to receive what God has already put on the inside of me. Because as long as you don't think you can have what God says, you already belongs to you. You will never walk in it. Because as a man thinketh in his heart, so is he. You just gotta love up with the word of God. And when you are synchronized with God and what God has said, there will always be manifestations in this physical realm of existence. You will see the supernatural become natural in your life simply because of how you think. He says, you were made. You must be made new in your hearts and in your thinking. Be the person who was made to be like God, truly good and pleasing to him. Changing the way you are thinking. Galatians, chapter 5, verse 7. He says you were running the race so well. Hallelujah. We talked about running this morning. Keep running. You were running the race so well. Don't let anybody trip you up. Who said? Who has held you back from following the truth? You're running so well now. Who's going to hold you back from following the truth? It certainly isn't God. He is the one who has called you to freedom. God wants you free. He's called you to freedom. Somebody said, I've been called to freedom. He said, those, these false teachers is like a little yeast that spreads through the whole batch of dough. I am trusting the Lord to keep you from believing those false teachings. God will judge that person, whoever he is, who has been confusing you. And there is a lot of people that is confusing people about God's plan for their lives and who God created and made them to be. They have a false sense of freedom and said because you are free, you can be whoever and do whatever you want to do. It's a false teaching of freedom that God has not called you to do. You are free to be who God created you to be. You are free to do what God has called you to do. You can't be created and be born one from and think you are free to be whoever you want to be. God. There is a teaching going around and saying, just let them be whatever they want to be. And if they don't know what they want to be, just call them they. That's a false freedom, whoever's teaching you and confusing you. There are too many young people, people that are confused about who they are and Who God created and made them to be. And they call that being free. You in so much bondage, you don't even realize it. For you to be something other than what God has said you are, you are in bondage. But God has called us to be free. And so. And so we first must embrace who God created and made us to be. I'm telling you, as women of God, you are Kael, you are a powerful woman, a warrior woman, a woman of great substance. A woman who has the ability, because she knows she's a queen, has the ability to turn her husband into an honored king. But when you don't know who you are, the Bible says you're like cancer. It is bones. But when you know you are Kael, you are a great warrior, a woman of. A woman of God. I don't have to compete with a man. I don't have to try to look like a man. I don't have to be a man. I know who God made me to be. I am who. Hey. Glory to God. Thank you, Lord Jesus. That's another message. Second Peter, chapter two, verse 19. He says, these false teachers promise those people freedom, but they themselves are not free because they're in bondage. They want to put you in bondage. Tell you it's all right to be that way. It's okay if you're confused. It's okay for you to believe a lie. It's okay. You can be whatever you want. Want to be. He said they are the ones because they're not free. They want to put you in bondage. They are slaves. Listen to me. They are slaves to the mind, to a mind that has not been. That has been ruined by sin. They are slaves to a mind that has been ruined by sin. It is the sin nature of man to call it a reprobate mind who leaves the things of God to pursue their own fleshly desires. And then tell everybody else, you can have the same desire. It's okay. He says, yes, people are slaves to anything that controls them. Anything. Listen, be careful what you think. It's your thoughts that's controlling your life. And you become a slave to those thoughts because you don't renew your mind. And you listen to people who give you an okay for you to be the way you are when God created and made you to be something different. He says, yes, these people are slaves to anything that control them. But God has set us free. And when you begin to live from heavenly realities in your life and shun these earthly realities and what the world is saying, it's okay for you and I. Just because they pass laws that say things are okay doesn't mean it's okay. We live by a higher law. We live by a higher. We live by every word that proceed out of the mouth of God. Just because the world says it's okay doesn't make it okay for you and I. Listen to me. You never know how bound you are until you get free. And this, when you look back and you see what God has brought you from, is when you realize the freedom that God has made available to you and I. Romans, chapter 6. I got to speed up a little bit. Romans 6. Look at verse 6 in the Passion translation. It said. Could it be any clearer that our former identity is now forever deprived of its power? Hallelujah. Your former identity should have no power over your life, he said, for we were co crucified with him to dismantle the stronghold of sin within us so that we would not continue to live with one moment longer submitted to sin's power. Obviously, a dead person is incapable of sinning. Remember, the old man has passed away. A dead person is incapable of sinning. And if we are co crucified with the Anointed One, we know that we will also share in the fullness of his life. We were crucified with him, but yet we live. Galatians 2:20 tells us, we live but the life that we live in the flesh. We live by the faith of the Son of God, who gave his life for you and I, who loves you and I. So that old man has passed away. He's incapable of sinning. We've been set free from the powers of sin. Verse 11 says so. Let. Let it be the same way with you, since we are now joined with Him. You must continually view yourself as dead and unresponsive to sin's appeal. You must view yourself dead and unresponsive to sin's appeal while living daily for God's pleasure in union with Jesus the Anointed One. Unresponsive when yokes come knocking back at your door. Unresponsive. Dead to those things. We were crucified with Christ. Nevertheless, we are alive. Wow. Colossians, chapter three. Beginning at verse one. I know we looked at 13 and 14, but look at verse one in the passion translation. It says, christ's resurrection is your resurrection too. Hallelujah. Glory to God. His resurrection was my resurrection too. When he got up, I got up with him. Hallelujah. Glory to God. This is why we ought to yearn for those things that Are above. For where? That's where Christ sits enthroned at the place of all power, honor and in authority. Yes. Feast on all the treasures of the heavenly realm and fill your thoughts with heavenly realities. What does God have to say about your life? Who does God say you are? Fill your thoughts with heavenly realities and not the distractions of this natural realm. All these things in life, these distractions, these things are yokes that keep you in bondage. He said, set your affections on things above, not things in the earth. Set your affections on the heavenly realities and not the realities in this natural realm. Verse 9, it says, Lay aside. Are y' all still looking at this? Lay aside your old Adam self. Lay aside your old Adam's with this masquerade in disguise. Stop pretending when you are yoked, when you are in sin, when you are in bondage, you are pretending you don't even know who you are. I said you're already free. Lay aside your old Adam self with his masquerades in disguise. For you have acquired new creation life, which is continuous, continually being renewed into the likeness of the One who created you, giving you the full revelation of God. God created you to be like Himself. My Bible tells me in First John 4:17 that as Jesus is, so are we in this world. That is a lot to swallow, that as Jesus is, so are we in this world as he is. Verse 11 it says, in this new creation life, none of those things in this natural world matters. Your nationality makes no difference. Your ethnicity makes no difference. Your education, your economic status, no matter, nothing. For it is Christ that means everything as he lives in every one of us. And so God wants you and I to walk in the freedom that he has given to us. What does it mean to be free? It's a power to determine your actions without restraints. You get to live the way God wants you to live, with no restraints. Hallelujah. Glory to God. I know I don't know about you, but I'm so glad that he set me free. Hallelujah. There are no strengths on my life. Listen, God took the lift limitations off of my life. He said in Proverbs 4:12, your progress will have no limits when you come along with Him. And you will never stumble as you walk along the way. There are no limitations on your life. To be free means to not to be bound, to be confined or detained by force. There is nothing and nobody that can hold you down. It means to be have rights of citizenship. Remember, we're the kingdom of God. We have a different mindset than the world. We have a different opinion about life because we live by the word of God and not what the world has to say. It means to be relieved from or lacking something, especially something unpleasant or burdensome, to be relieved from the burdens in your life. It means to be free of pain. It means to release, be released from limits, measures, ties, obligations. It means to be untangled. Hallelujah. Somebody shout, I'm free. Free. Glory to God. God has set every single one of us free. In whom the Son has set free. Somebody shout, I'm free in indeed. Let's look at this. In John, chapter 8, verse 31, he said. Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed on him. Anybody believe on him this morning? He says, if you continue in my Word, then you are my disciples indeed. You shall know the truth and the truth will make make you free. You will experience truth when you continue in the Word of God. It's not just words you see on a page, but you have an experience with that Word. And the Word you experience will make you free. And they answered him, we be Abraham. See what you mean. Make us free. We're not in bondage to anybody. I'm free. And Jesus answered and said, verily I say unto you, whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin. And the servant abideth not in the house forever, but the Son abides forever. If the Son therefore make you free, you shall be free indeed. And I know you are Abraham's seed. But you seek to kill me because the Word has no place in you. The only way that you and I can walk into freedom, you got to become a student of the Word of God. You gotta give the Word of God place in you. When you hear the Word of God, you've gotta be attentive to that Word. You gotta meditate on the Word of God. I like to use the word medicate because, you know, there are a lot of us that have medications and we're timely with them. We take them all the time. We won't fail to take it. What will happen if you medicated on the Word? Don't fail. Get the Word of God on the inside of you. Give it its place on the inside of you. Meditate on the Word of God and the Word of God will bring you to a place of complete freedom. It begins to unfold you. One revelation after another revelation. The light comes on on the inside of you. You get to walk in the freedom that God has called you to walk into. You'll begin to be as Jesus is, so are we in the world. You'll begin to lay hands on the sick and see them recover. You'll begin to open blind eyes, cause the lame to walk, the deaf to hear. You'll raise the dead when you're free. Hallelujah. When you give the word of God place in you. Psalms 119, verse 45 in the easy reading version says, so I will live in freedom because I do my best to know your instructions. I will live in freedom because I'm doing my best to know your instructions. You've got to go to the book, you got to get instructions. Someone is teaching you every day. Somebody is showing you something every day. If it doesn't line up with the word of God, you've got to junk it. And only way that you can junk it if you know the Word and what God has to say about it. He says, I will live in your freedom because I do my best. Somebody said, do your best. Turn to your neighbor, say, do your best to know his instructions. Hallelujah. Ephesians 1:14 says the Spirit, easy reading version of the Spirit. Spirit is the first payment that guarantees we will get all that God has for us. Then we will enjoy complete freedom as people who belong to him. And the goal for all of us is to praise of our God in his glory. Praising him for the Lord is good and his mercy endures forever. And so when Jesus is Lord, you will accept experience freedom in every area of your life. You know Second Corinthians 3:17, that where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is, there is freedom, there is liberty where he is Lord. You have to make him Lord in your finances. You've got to make Jesus Christ the Lord over your finances. This is how you get out of debt when he is Lord. Hallelujah. You've got to make him Lord in your marriage to experience the freedom to be who God created and made you to be. As a woman of God. Not walking in your family on eggshells wondering who, what's he going to do? What's going to happen next? Not free to be who God created and made you to be. But when you make him Lord God, I give you this marriage, I give you my finances and make him Lord over your body. I beseech you brethren, by the mercies of God, that you will present your body a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable unto him, which is a reasonable act of your service unto God when you make him Lord over your body. You're not, you're very careful about what you put in Your body and how you treat your body, knowing that this body is the temple of the living God. So I'm not doing anything with my body just because it feel good, just because they say it's okay. My body belongs to God. You've got to make Him Lord. And where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is, there is freedom. There is liberty. The Spirit of God sanctions your freedom. He's the one that makes you free and causes that freedom to become a reality in your life. So how do I experience this freedom? My closing. Trust God. You gotta trust God with your freedom. You gotta trust God with your life. Small word, but it's big. It's huge. To trust God to be completely free is giving my life over to God. Trust in the Lord with all your heart. Prior Proverbs 3 and 5. You know it and lean not to your own understanding. Just acknowledge him. One of the other ways we experience freedom is acknowledgement. Philemon says that we ought to acknowledge every good thing that is in us, that is in Christ Jesus. If it ain't in him, you gotta junk it. You only acknowledge everything that is in Him. That is that he has provided and given to you and I. So it's trusting God and trusting him and taking him as His Word and acknowledging what he has to say about my circumstances and not what my circumstances are saying to me. I'm acknowledging what God is saying, trusting in Him. And I say all the time, when you are trusting God, there is no plan B. He is who he says he is. He's going to do exactly what he said said he would do. And I trust Him. Having the word of God, you got to have the Word. Remember, we're obeying his and getting his instructions. What does God have to say about your circumstance? What does God say about your marriage? What does he say about your children? I know it looks one way, but what is God saying? You got to stand firm, fixed and have a settled position where the Word was of God is is concerned. His Word is forever settled in heaven. And if you settle it on the inside of you, that Word will produce in your life. But you've got to give it place. You got to give the word of God place in your life to experience this freedom. You only free because of the word of God that He gives to you and I. We said it already. Your praise unto God. Your praise breaks every yoke of the enemy. Your praise steals the enemy. You've got to learn how to praise God more. Not when everything is going right, when things listen, not just when Things are going wrong. I'm sorry, but even when things are right, just have an attitude of praise and thanksgiving unto God. Your thanksgiving opens the door of freedom in your life to experience what God has for you. Just giving God praise. The Bible said, your praise steals the enemy. It causes the yoke to get upon his head. When you and I learn how to give God praise, another area is forgiveness. That's a message in itself. You realize when you don't forgive, you're the one in bondage. You got to learn how to let things go. Tell your neighbor, say, let it go. Say whatever's been holding you in bondage, say, let it go. Forgive. I know people have done some wrong things. Listen, people have done some wrong, wrong stuff to me. We have been through some stuff. But you've got to learn how to let it go. You got to learn how to live from this place where God would have you so you can be free. Free, I say all the time. Nobody can get inside your body and make you sin. It's a choice that you have. So you have learned how to let things go. Yeah, they did some wrong things to you. You want to retaliate. But you got to learn how to let things go and forgive. Otherwise, you're the one that's being tormented. You got to learn how to love with God's love, love that he has for you. I had somebody come to me, say, pastor Cynthia, I heard. I knew about these things that people have done to you. And I've seen you walk with this person who've done such awesome things, terrible things to you, and yet you're still walking with them, yet you still love him. How do you do that? I said, because I love with the same love he loved me with. And.
