I'm A Covenant Keeper - Hope Carpenter

Well, good evening. I am so glad that you are here tonight. Go ahead and call your friends, call your loved ones, tell them, tune in, Facebook Live, YouTube got a powerful word for you tonight and also wanted to encourage you. But tonight call your friends. Here we go. I'm gonna talk to you tonight about God is a covenant God and how you can be a covenant keeper. I'm a covenant keeper. Do we always get it right? Absolutely not. But that should be our goal. That should be our mission is to be in sync with the Lord and to be a covenant keep has paid a horrible price that we live an abundant life. And I'm going to teach us tonight how to keep our end of the deal. So what does it mean that God is a covenant God, what is a covenant? A covenant is an agreement or a contract by two or more people and God has cut covenant with us. But here's the thing, we must keep our end of the covenant before the benefits kick in. Okay? He's already done his part. He's already written the benefits. Those are all in the word of God, right? He's already told us what the benefits of our covenant, of our covenant are. But are you a covenant keeper? Are you doing your end so that the benefits can flow in your life? Now I'm not talking about salvation. Salvation's already done. That is by grace, through faith, right? It's not works at all. It's nothing that you do. So it write me and say, oh hope, you said I gotta do something to get the blessings and benefits. Yes you do. But not the blessings and benefits of your salvation. Nothing you can do to get saved. There's nothing you can do to get saved or stay saved other than to believe that Jesus Christ died. He rose Again, invite him into your heart and live for him. Right. Salvation's done. But I'm talking about kingdom benefits here on earth. Kingdom benefits here on earth. And so what does the kingdom bring you? The kingdom is righteousness, peace, joy in the Holy Ghost. Say that out loud. Say, the kingdom is righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost. So what are the covenant rights? It's the if then statements in the Bible. The if then statements. So here's some examples. Ephesians 6 Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. Honor your father and mother, that it may go well with you. So if you want life to go well with you, if you want to live a long life here on earth, it says, children, obey your parents in the Lord. Honor your father and mother. Here's another one. Proverbs 3, 9, 10 Honor the Lord with your wealth, with the first fruits of your crops. Then your barns will be filled to overflowing, and your vats will brim over with new wine. Honor the Lord with your wealth, with your first fruits. Then you will be blessed. Psalm 37:4 Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Delight yourself, get your joy from the Lord, and he will give you all these other things. James 4:8 come near to God, then he will come near to you. So here's an example. Your husband's at work and you want to see your husband so bad. You're just sitting there saying, oh, I wish I could see him. I wish I could go to lunch with him. You can't just want it. You can't just wish it. You have to get up, you have to get dressed, and you have to drive to go see him. Right? You have to make a plan. You have to do something. So it's the same thing with God. Come near to God, and he will come near to you. But he's telling you, that's your covenant. If you want God, if you want him to come near to you, you got to get up and go near to him. First it's an if, then Malachi 3 bring all the tithe into the storehouse and test me and see if I will not open the windows of heaven and pour out a blessing so much on you that you won't be able to contain it. But first, what do you have to do? It says, bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, the whole tenth into the storehouse. 2nd Corinthians 7 if my people remember covenant, if then statements. If my people who are called by my name will Humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways. Then I will hear from heaven. Forgive their sin, and I will heal their land. Are you seeing it? Are you understanding what I'm saying? God is a covenant God. Say that out loud. God is a covenant God. And to be a covenant keeper and reap the benefits, you must first, number one, write it down. You have to know the covenants. You have to know the benefits. You have to know what the word of God says. It's so important. It's just not some religious duty that we tell people you need to do to get in the Word. No, you got to know the word before you can use the word. We bought a home warranty years ago with our last home that we purchased. And the microwave broke. So we bought this home warranty. About a year into it, our microwave broke. So I forgot about the warranty. Completely forgot about it. Went to Lowe's, was aggravated. Had to get the thing taken out, pay for all that, go buy another microwave, pay to have it installed. Stalled. So I lost money, right? I didn't get the best kind of replacement because my home warranty would replace exactly what I had because I did not know my benefits. I totally forgot them because they were not in front of my face. Who? Are you hearing me? Look at the word. This is what I'm talking about. Deuteronomy 7, 9. Know, therefore, that the Lord your God, he's a faithful God, keeping His covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commandments. Got to read it again. Know, therefore, that the Lord your God is God. He's the faithful God, keeping His covenant of love to a thousand generations. He's saying, I've not moved. I've not changed my mind. What? I said, I will do, I will do. But it comes to those who love him and to those who keep his covenant commandments. So to reap the benefits, number one, you got to know what they are. You got to know the covenant. Begging does not bring healing. Begging does not bring prosperity. Begging does not bring joy. Begging does not bring peace. It does not bring freedom. Unbelievable. Rest will come to you when you know that you have done everything that you were supposed to do to bring the covenant to pass, having done all you know to do, to stand. Stand for. Just stand, therefore, and then watch God. I bring my covenants up to God. I know it probably sounds like a little spoiled child, but I know what my rights are. And if I don't see them coming to pass in my life, I start to bring them up to God, I'll say, now, God, you said, God, you see, right here, you said in your word, I lay my hands on my bills and I speak to those bills and I decree and declare over them. Now, God, I'm a tither. You said if I would bring the whole tithe into the storehouse to test you. Now, God, here they are. This is your responsibility. You gotta provide. It doesn't look like that. I have enough money in my bank account. But, God, you said, this is my covenant. This was your covenant that you cut with me. So, God, I am reminding you today that I am a tither. When your kids are going nuts. Come on, somebody. I'll look at God and I'll say, now, God, you promised. The covenant agreement that you gave me concerning my children is that if I would train up a child in the way they should go when they are old, they will not depart. Now, God, I've done my part, God, this is my covenant. I've done my part, God, you're responsible. I'm holding you responsible. See, rest is even written in your agreement. The Bible says this. It says, I will keep you in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on me. So what are you thinking about? You say, I just have anxiety all the time. I can't sleep at night. What are you thinking about? Are you on Instagram all night? Facebook all night reading everybody's junk, everybody's drama? Are you watching all these crazy killing CSI things at night? Listen, the Bible says, I will keep you in perfect peace. Whose mind is stayed on me? Are you allowing your mind to think about the worst? Imagine the worst? Are you thinking about Jesus and all of his goodness and all that he's done for you? You thinking back over your life at how good and how faithful he's always been and he's never let you down? I will keep you in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on me. Listen, he never sleeps. He never slumbers. So this is what I tell God. I say, God, I'm giving you the night watch. I'm going to bed because I know that I've done everything that I was supposed to do. So if begging does not move God, what does? Obedience is what moves God. Come on, somebody. Obedience is what moves God. You got to know the covenant, and you've got to obey the covenant for God to keep his end of the covenant, then number two, you got to talk your covenant. And as you decree and declare. Listen, this gets me so excited. As you decree and declare the word, your benefits that's what the word is. It's your benefits. It's your benefit package. It's your 401k in the kingdom. It's the word of God. Angels are released and they are the appointed agents that help to carry out the terms of your 401k in the kingdom. I gotta say it again. When you begin to speak the Word and declare the Word and declare your covenant and your benefits, angels are released because they are the appointed agents that help carry out the terms of agreement. Psalm 103:20 says, Praise the Lord, you his angels who hearken to the voice of his word. Think about that. Angels are waiting. They're waiting. Warring angels are waiting to hearken to the voice of the word of God coming out of your mouth. They serve God and they serve his people. They are unseen, seen workers that bring help to bring the promises to pass in your life. That is good news. Hope. How do you know that? Well, glad you asked. Genesis 19. Lot was taken into captivity and angels came and rescued him. Daniel was in prison and God sent angels to what? Shut the mouth of the lions? It was an angel that brought Daniel's prayer, the answer to his prayer that had been held up in heaven for 21 days. Luke 22. Jesus is in the garden and angels appeared to what strengthen him? An angel troubled the water at Bethesda so that the impotent man could get in and be healed. Shout angels, go. Shout angels, go. Come on, get fired up. Shout angels, go over my house. Shout angels, go over my children. Shout angels go over my finances. Finances. Some angels are messengers and some are guardians. Some are worshipers. But the primary function is to carry out and establish the Word of God. How's the Word of God going to get into the atmosphere for the angels to carry it to pass if you don't speak it out of your mouth? That's not some Holy Roller mumbo jumbo, those crazy cuckoo Christians who walk around quoting scriptures all the time. No, these are the people who are who know the benefits of their covenant and know that if they don't get it out of their mouth, the angels can't hearken and go and bring it to pass. When you start decreeing and declaring scripture over your life and over your situation, listen. There is a. A heavenly host that moves on your behalf. Whoa. Think about it. When you start decreeing and declaring the word of God over your health, over your mind, over your finances, over your marriage, over your children, over your job, there is a heavenly host of angels that go and move on your Behalf to carry that word to pass. That's the power of God's word. That's the power of God's word. Listen, you can't know more about Netflix and the Walking Dead and every character in it and know every lyric of every song, but you can't quote scripture. If that is your life, that's all you're going to get, is the Walking Dead. Are you going to get Beyonce and Jay Z? They can't do anything for you. Angels are waiting to hearken to your voice so that they can go and bring the word of God to pass in your life. It's the power of the word of God. Just like a mother's ear is tuned in to the sound of her child crying. Listen, I can be at a water park, or I could have been at an amusement park or out somewhere at a birthday party, and I could hear Mama. And I knew exactly that I was the one they were calling because my ears were so in tune to the sound of my own children. Angels are tuned in to hear the word of God spoken. That's why you should be speaking the word continually, daily, over your life, over your situation, over your health, over your marriage, over your children, over your mind. You just got to say what God says. You just got to say what God says. Isaiah 55:11 says, so shall my word be as it goes out of my mouth. It shall not return void, empty unto me. It shall accomplish the thing where I send it. Whoa. Think about that. You are sending the word of God into your situation and into your circumstances. Circumstances. And it will not return void. So, number one, I must know the word. You got to know the Word. Before you can speak the Word, you got to know what God's word says about your health. You got to know what God's word says about your finances. You got to know what God's word says about a godly marriage. You got to know what God's word says about raising children. You got to know what God's word says. Says about your peace and your sleep. Come on, you got to know it first. Then number two, you got to start decreeing and declaring it out of your mouth. It is not enough to just know it. You've got to speak it out of your mouth. And then number three, when you do, angels go and perform that word, for they're waiting. A whole heavenly host of angels is waiting on you to know the word of God in the Greek and to decree and declare it out of your mouth. Whoo. Listen, you got angels waiting on you down at the mortgage company. You got angels waiting on you at the IRS office. You got angels waiting at the car dealership and down at the bank and at the elementary school and the high school and the college and down at the courthouse and even down at the jailhouse and in the hospital. You got angels waiting on you to decree and declare a thing over your life. To decree and declare the promises of God that are yes and amen over your life. Listen, there are more in the unseen realm waiting to help you than your natural help. There are more angels waiting to do war for you than anybody you got on your side here on Earth. When you know your benefits, it makes you want them. Just like I didn't know what my benefits were for my microwave, but when I found out, I was like, wait a minute, can I go back and get my money back? Because my benefits say that this is available to me, right? When you know your benefits, you want them. If you work for a company that says you get two weeks paid vacation and you go on your vacation, you come back and your check did not pay you, what are you going to do? You're going to take that manual. You're going to take it and you're going to show it just like I do to God. When I say God, you said, right? You're going to take that manual to your boss and say, wait a minute, I'm due two weeks pay because my benefit package says, are y' all getting what I'm saying? My benefit package says that I get two weeks paid vacation and I went on my vacation and I didn't get paid. I'm due some money. Listen, you said employer, right? That's what we're supposed to do to God. We're supposed to come up into his presence with his word. Not what I say, not what I want. But what does God say over your life? What does the word of God say about you? He's waiting for you to know the Word so that you can decree and declare the word, so that your angels can go, listen, how many blessings are you walking around not privy to because you don't know the word of God? How many times have you missed a blessing because you refused to crack that book open because you had rather do something else? How many blessings are angels waiting to go on your behalf? If you would just get it out of your mouth, if you would just put it into the atmosphere over your house, if you would just put it into the atmosphere over your children, if you would just put it into the atmosphere over your life. I came tonight to rile you up. I came tonight to get you mad at yourself. I came tonight to get you motivated to get up, right? To know the word of God, to go get your stuff. There are blessings upon blessings upon blessings that we are not occupying, that we are not walking in. And we get mad when we see other people walking in them, but we're not willing to do what other people did to get them. Lord, forgive us tonight. God, you have already paid the price for our freedom. You've already paid the price. God, you paid a terrible price. It was bloody and it was gruesome and it was painful. And when you finished, you sat down and you said, you're finished. But now it's our part, it's our responsibility to be a Covenant Keeper. I am determined that I am going to be a Covenant Keeper. What about you? I am determined tonight that I am going to walk in the blessing of God, that I am going to walk in the prosperity, prosperity of God, because I'm a tither. I am a huge giver. And I cannot apologize to you for the blessing of God on my life when you've not seen the size of my seed. You cannot criticize the size of my harvest if you're not willing to put the size of the seed in the ground. I am determined tonight that I'm going to walk in help. Even as my soul prospers, I'm going to make sure that my mind and my will, my choices, my intellect, my emotions are in check and that I am walking in health and healing in my emotions so that I can walk in health and healing in my body. Come on. Where are the Covenant Keepers? Where are the people under the sound of my voice? Put it in the chat. Say, I'm going to be a Covenant Keeper. Going to be a Covenant Keeper. Now say, angels, go. Put it in the chat. Say, angels, go. I want my stuff. What about you? I want my stuff. I want every single benefit that Christ paid for me on that Via Dolorosa called the Way of Suffering, so that I would not have to suffer on that cross, so that salvation could meet me every single day in every area of my life. Come on. I'm going to challenge you tonight to know the Word of God. I'm going to challenge you to know it like you've never known it. Even if they call you Holy Roller, even if they say that's all you talk about is the Word of God. Yes, but I want the blessing and benefit in my life. What about you, God? Tonight, forgive us, Number One, for not being covenant keepers for not knowing our rights and our benefits of being kingdom citizens. And Lord, I pray that I just thank you number one that your grace is sufficient for us and your mercy is new every morning. I thank you that when we wake up tomorrow we're going to get kissed with mercy and we can start over. God, I pray that you would just illuminate the word of God to everyone under my voice who hears me of their covenants. Lord, show them through the Word all the if then statements and the things you said are our benefits if we would obey. I thank you Jesus for your word. That changes us. It changes us. It changes us. It's sharp. It cuts away all the junk God and it won't. And you want to make us to look more like you, to reflect your glory. That's who we are in this earth. I thank you tonight that I'm talking to covenant keepers. I thank you that tonight I am talking to people who will be willing to put down the plate to push it back, to turn off the the television, to stop swiping so that they could get in the Word and know what you say about them and then tell their angels to go and bring it into their life.
