Listen, love is not a feeling. Feelings change all of the time. So saying that you love someone dependent on how you feel, that's just not sustainable. If that's true, we change partners every single day. What is love? Love is patient. That's not a feeling. Love is kind. Kindness is not a feeling. And it doesn't keep records of wrong. That is definitely not a feeling. Love is a choice, and it is a commitment. God's kind of love stays committed even when you don't feel like it. God loved us even when we were sinners. We were hateful, we were prideful, we were lustful. But he stayed committed no matter what. And that's the kind of love that he told us to love others with.
