Pastor Hope Carpenter | Unhindered Endurance | Untangled Conference 2023

A live sermon by Pastor Hope Carpenter encouraging believers to pursue authentic, liberated Christian living and endurance. Using Galatians 5:1 and Hebrews 12:1–2 as anchors, she contrasts mere salvation with kingdom abundance, describes common spiritual ‘yokes’ (shame, trauma, addiction, unforgiveness), shares personal testimony of struggle and recovery, and issues a repeated call for the audience to "shed" burdens, fix their eyes on Jesus, and run their race with perseverance.
Chapters
Do you not have enough history with God to know that he is able to do what he said he could do? Do you not have enough victories under your belt to know that my God is able to do what he said that he would do? Do you really think that God has brought you this far to leave you?
I.
You would remember where you were 15, 20, 25 years ago. Don't you have enough history to know that he's never left you and he will never leave you nor forsake you? He's been so good to us. Turn around and love about three or four people before you sit down and tell them. Say, Jesus is the reason I'm so pretty. Say, my God, did you lose some weight? Come on, encourage your sister. Ask her, did she lose some weight? Say, you looking so fly today. You look so good. I'm just so overwhelmed by the goodness of God today, by the faithfulness of God. Really am. You don't have to have that attitude. You don't have to have that attitude. Just when everything's good, we're supposed to have that attitude all the time. All the time. You know, there was this old saying we used to say in church all the time, God is good. Oh, y' all so churchy. Y' all so churchy. I mean, it feels like it's been years and years since y' all been in the club. Y' all so churchy. God is good. And all the time. Yes, yes, yes, yes. But my question to you today is, do you really believe it? And before you answer, those of you go getters, jump starters before you answer. If we really, really believe, why do we freak out when trouble hits our house? Come on now. Why do we question him and have trust issues? When marriage problems hit? When your kids are going crazy? When you get fired from a job? Come on, y'.
All.
We say God is good all the time and all the time. What does all mean? It means all means every single instance and situation in our life. And I'm not preaching today as one who has attained it. I'm Paul. I'm Paul Jr. I'm not preaching today as one who has attained it. But we are on a journey today. And I'm telling you what I have I'm gonna give you today. I can't preach on revelation. I just can't do it. I don't know about all the boogers and fangs and all the four headed monsters, all that stuff. And when he's coming back, I don't know. Just be ready. That's my philosophy on Revelation. Just be ready. Just keep your lamp on. Be ready. But why do we freak out? Why do we do that? Why do we. You ever just bang your head and say, why do I do that? After the fact, and you look back and you see what God did and how strategic he was. And you didn't understand it over here, but once you get over here, you understand it. And it's just the sovereignty of God, it's the goodness of God, it's the mercy of God, it's the faithfulness of God, it's the gentleness, it's the kindness. He's such a good daddy to us today. Sometimes we think ours is the only marriage that's bad, right? Sometimes we think, oh, God, if I could just choke him in the night. Blame it on sleep apnea. He forgot his mask. He forgot his mask. Sometimes we think we're the only one struggling. Sometimes we think that we're the only one with the hot temper and with anger issues and doubt issues. But the truth is, the very truth. After 55 years of living. The truth is life is painful. Life can be painful. Can anybody testify that life can be painful? It just can. Life. I just say this all the time. Life happens. You know? Life happens. Look at your neighbor and say, life just happens sometime. Get out of fairy tale land. Get out of fairytale land. Life just happens. But here's the truth, okay? That is what we see, right? That's life. But the truth is we do serve a good God. That's the truth. We serve a good God who wants good things for us, okay? You have to get that in your heart and your spirit or you won't be able to make it because you will fail. You will fall, you will faint, you will give up. You will throw your hands up and say, this is just too much. It's too much. It's too much. And I've been there before. You ever been there? Let's just be honest today. You ever just said, this is too much? I just don't know if I can make this. I don't know if I can do it. I don't know if I can do it another day? Come on. Y' all are liars. And untangled. Y' all all gotta get set free. Y' all ever said it's too much? Y' all ever typed those Facebook messages and just gave them a piece of your mind and then God made you delete, delete, delete, delete? Yes. Yes. Life's hard. Life's tough. It really is. So you got to come to grasp with that fact that, yeah, I'm going to go through some things in life there. You know, the Bible even promises. Promises us that it says, in this world, you will have what you will have the lipsis. You will have tribulation. That's pressure. That word translates pressure, anxiety, trouble. In this world, you will have that. He said, but fear not, already overcome the world I've already overcome. So we must establish that. Life's hard. But yes, God is good and we serve a good God who wants good things for us.
Okay?
Galatians 5:1 says this. It's for freedom. It's for freedom that Christ sets you free. He really does want us to live a free, authentic life. It is for freedom that Christ set us free. So do not let yourself, not the devil. Do not let yourself be burdened again by that old yoke, by that yoke of slavery, okay? It was for freedom that Christ set us free. It was for liberty that Christ set us free. But do not let yourself be burdened again by that yoke of slavery. So, slavery to what? We must define what we're freed from, what we're freed from in Christ. Listen, you were given way more than fire insurance. Get out a hell free card. We did not just get saved so we can go to heaven. Come on. Do y' all believe that if that's all you got saved from, then you're going to have a horrible life here on earth? That Jesus is the door. Jesus is the door. If I came to your house, knocked on the door and just stayed there, we would not have no fun. We couldn't go crazy on the front porch. We couldn't cry and dance and shout and eat donuts and Diet Coke and French fries and all those things that we want to do and laugh and play and have a good time. Jesus is the door. But you got to go through salvation, into kingdom living, into the abundant life in Christ that God has called us to.
Okay?
Salvation is God's gift to us, okay? We didn't do anything to get it. We're horrible, nasty, yucky. We stink. Our breath stinks. We're rotten. We're scoundrels. We do horrible things. Our hearts, we don't even understand them. We don't know them. We can conjure up terrible things in our head, kill people four times before we go to bed, then ask forgiveness. I mean, we just. We're horrible people, right? But salvation is God's gift to us. He saved us. The only thing that happened when we got saved, the only change was that our spirit man was dead, now he's alive. Okay, you got three parts. Body, soul, spirit. So my spirit was dead. My spirit came alive, Boom, I'm alive. I still got this body. It didn't get saved. I gotta beat it. I gotta crucify. I gotta beat that thing. It can still pop, lock and drop it. If I wanted to, if I chose to, to, right? I got a body and I got a soul. My soul is my mind, my will, my emotions, my intellect. All those things are the same after salvation. That is our chore. That is, that is the pursuit of the abundant life of God. That is the chore here of what we must be untangled from and see. I think so many of us think that he's a genie, that he's a genie in the bottle and we just shamalama ding dong and rub the thing and we're supposed to be perfect. All that stuff's gone poof at salvation. No, you can get saved, walk out. Want to just shoot somebody, a bird, cuss somebody out. You can do all that if you choose. If you choose. This is our chore for abundant living. Jesus is the door. But you can still be yoked. Do not be yoked again. Don't be yoked again. Right? Don't be yoked again. Don't be burdened again by the yoke of slavery. Jesus is the door. You can be yoked to sin, to the past, to your mindset, to your belief system, to what you thought about people, to what racism, all of these things that, that seem to plague Christians. I call it captive Christians. And I can preach it so well because I lived it 43 years. Captive Christians. How many of you could just be honest and say yes, yes, captive Christians? That, that's that war, that's that wrestle. The things I want to do, I do all this stuff, I come over here and do all these things. But the things I know I should do, I don't do. And it's this. And then we just cray cray.
And.
We feel cray cray. And then we come into church and then there's the struggle of condemnation and shame. And I can't lift my hands, I can't praise God because I'm a second class citizen. Oh, I can't serve because I know what I did last night. Come on, y'.
All.
If nothing else changes except the fact that your spirit man was dead and still alive, we continue in this miserable, anxiety filled, unfulfilled life here on earth. And who wants to live like that? It's torment. There's a huge difference in being successful and being significant. I just don't have time to even go there. But significance is a life of fulfilling the purpose and the plan of God for your life. That's where you don't have to have enough money. That's when you are tired. But you know that you're right smack dab in the will of God. That's when all hell might be breaking out in your house. But you know you are called to that. You are assigned to that. That is where you're supposed to be. That's a life of significance, not successfulness. Okay, is that a word, successfulness? No, it probably ain't. I'm gonna put that in my hope translation of the Bible.
I gotta.
I haven't been writing mine. It's good. It's good. It's real good. I was in ministry. I was saved. I was looked. I looked the part, but I didn't know how. I didn't know this. I didn't know how to really be faithful.
Free.
I didn't know how to be free and authentic. For 43 years, torment and church has done a horrible job at creating a climate where people can be honest. Honest, but still loved. Honest and accepted. Because the truth is, none of us glow in the dark. I don't care how much you read the Bible or speak in tongues. None of us glow in the dark. And our righteousness, as good as it may look, is just nasty dirty mop water. That's going in my translation too. To live a free and authentic life, everything had to stop for me. You have to stop and ask yourself to the hard questions. You have to stop and evaluate your life. If you have major heart trauma and you go into the hospital for open heart surgery, do they let people in there with you? No. You have to separate yourself. You have to have specialists who can help you, who can aid you, who can get you the proper treatment, who can do the right things with your heart. And it's not quick and it's not easy. It takes time. And then there's recuperation time before you can do what you used to do. And then you find out that maybe you shouldn't even be doing what you used to be doing. Listen, it takes a long time. I had to ask myself, where am I in life? What do I believe? What is my belief system? Where is it flawed? What do I need to learn? God? How? What did I miss up till now that flawed my thinking of you? What was I taught that was incorrect in the church? God, I just can't depend on my mama's relationship. I can't depend on my granny's relationship. I can't depend on my relationship with Dr. Janice. I really gotta know you and I gotta hear you.
And I got.
You gotta say, speak to me. And you got to show me me, and you got to show me what the word is going to do with me and all my stuff. It's not a one stop shop. The principles all work. But we are so different. You were raised different, you were brought up different, you were taught different. Different parts of the country think different ways. How many people do we have in this room right now from out of state, out of South Carolina?
Look.
We different, we talk different, we relate different. But I was determined to finally be free to live an authentic life. Listen, but not free. Y' all gotta get this part. But not free in the sense of abusing my liberty.
Uh.
Not the abuse of grace.
But.
Living the way that I ought to because of the great sacrifice that was made for me. People don't teach this anymore. We call people who teach this holy rollers. And you just too spiritual and you ain't preaching enough grace. But y', all, we were saved from something. That's what being saved is from. I was here and I was saying saved from that. And then I'm urged not to be yoked again to this yoke of slavery. Because he loves me so much that I should choose to walk in the liberties of my freedom. Do you understand what I'm trying to say today? Because there was such a great sacrifice made for me. There are liberties, but they're not liberties like the world thinks. It's not like I'm saved so I can do this and I'm saved so I can do that. No, I'm saved so that I can walk in my liberties of my freedom, of the price he paid for me. I can have peace. I can have real joy. I can have contentment. Not liberty's where I get to slide, slide and do something. Because I'm saved. And I got my get out of jail free ticket. But the liberties that I was loosed from, I get to enjoy the benefits of righteous living. Man, it's so freeing. It's so freeing. Once you get to this place that war stops. Well, how much can I do and still go to heaven? Well, can I do that? Well, can I have a glass of wine? Well, can I go to the club and can I wear a bikini and all those things? You know, that we really do want rules. The truth is we want somebody up Here to tell us down there what we can and can't do, so we can make sure we do it. And that's not what that scripture is about. It was for freedom. It was for liberty, spiritual freedom. And don't go back to be yoked. All you got to do is remember what you were yoked to. Just go back and make a list. What were you yoked to? What had power over you? What ruined you? What took you down that road? What makes you compromise? What makes you act different out there than when you act in here? Don't be yoked to that. Don't go back into bondage. When I started doing that, supernatural faith hit my life. To believe God for everything that he said I could have. Supernatural faith hit my life. That's when I looked at nothing and I called it something. I really was on the bottom. I really was. So there was nowhere to go but up. It's a good place to be. That's when I looked at nothing and I called it something. That's faith. That was at the point of my life where my life had only produced pain and suffering. When I came to this revelation that I was determined to pursue my freedom. Freedom no matter what. And I'm here to activate your faith today. You ought to be able to look at my life and say, my God, he can do anything. He's a waymaker. He's a miracle worker. He can do anything. I'm here to activate your faith today. And I don't know what you're staring at. It could be a marriage gone cold. It could be a bank account that has nothing in it. It could be a doctor's report that you didn't not expecting. But I'm here to tell you, you might even be starting over after a divorce. But I'm telling you today, you gotta look at your situation and say what God says. What does God say? What does God say about your health? What does God say about your mind? What does God say about your peace? What does God say about your joy? What does God say about your home and your relationships? Come on, somebody. What does God say about your future? What does God say about your future? You gotta look at nothing and say what God says. Say what God says. Listen, it's easy to smile when you got money in the bank. We never get on our knees and cry out, God, I need you to come through. In my finances, when we got hundreds and hundreds and hundreds in the bank, it's easy to smile. It's easy to lift your hands and get up and come to church, when you don't have pain in your body, but it is a push when you got pain in your body. That is faith. That's looking at nothing and calling it something. It's saying what God says. I'm strong in the Lord and in his power. I may not feel it in my body today, but I'm operating in faith. I'm pushing today. And it's the plan of the enemy to yoke the ox early. Rape, abuse, drug addiction, abandonment, bullied at school, school called names. See, that's the plan of the enemy. That. That happens early in our life. That's what pain and trauma does to us. We live bound so long that you don't even know what it feels like to live free. Bound is our normal. Dysfunction is our function. We've created such patterns in our brain that that's our normal. And then when somebody gets up here and tells you you gotta look at nothing and call it something and that you don't have to live like that, you're just sitting here shaking your head, saying, well, you don't know my situation. Years ago, we lived out in Woodruff. If you're from South Carolina, you know, that's the country. And we had 17 acres. This is when our children were little and middle school, and they wanted to ride four wheelers and dirt bikes and, you know, get out and go the creek and all that stuff. And so Ron thought he'd be real country, and he went and got a dog, a big one. And so the nature of the dog is just to run all over and run all across the road and go to the neighbor's house. So this is way back when, and it was 17 acres. So we didn't have enough money to put a fence around 17 acres. So we said, well, how much money we got? Well, we can't afford one of them real pretty black ones. So we gonna get an electric one. We gonna put it in five acres around the front of the yard, and we gonna put a collar on Zeke. Don't start. Y' all not from California. They got mad at me in California when I put the collar around the dollar. This is what we do in the south. So we put the collar around Zeke, and Zeke's running. He's having the time of his life until he gets up. Well, he does that about a day, and he goes fine with it. Y' all don't hear what I'm trying to say. In the spirit he's fine with. Was bad for a while, but he lived with it so long, it became his norm. I can't have that. I'm yoked. I can't have that. I'm yoked. I can't go over here. That's my boundary. And Jesus came. John 10:10 said that we might. That word is so important. The thief comes to steal. Come on, y'. All. So smart, churchy. He came to steal. He said, but I came that you might, not that you would. I came that you might. Might have life and have it more abundantly. More abundantly than what? Than when you were over here, yoked? I came that you might have life and you might have it more abundantly. Listen, the only part you need to write this down. The only part of the word that you will enjoy is the part that you lay hold of. That's the only part of the word that you will enjoy. You won't enjoy what belongs to you. You won't enjoy this buffet of the great wonderful things of God, the freedom of God. You will only enjoy the part that you put a demand on. So we sit back on our lazy rear end and flip through Instagram and wonder why we don't have peace joy. We flipping, though we steadily flipping. We know more about the Kardashians, Beyonce and Jay Z than we know about the precious promises of God. And we sure don't get up and obtain them. The only part of the word you will enjoy is the part that you lay hold of, that you actively pursue. There are hurdles to overcome. Life is not easy. Y' all know my saying, I got issues. You got issues. All God cheering Got issues. But our battle. Our battle is to walk in the victory that has already been provided. Salvation's a given. Salvation's a given. But our battle is to occupy. What have we been doing in Iraq for the last how many years? Trying to occupy. Battle's over, but we're still trying to establish our presence. We're trying to occupy. And I can hear your thoughts right now. Well, hope you don't know my story. I was raped and I am not minimizing it. You know why. Me too. Me too. Hope you don't know my story. I was raped. It was terrible. Me too. Hope you don't know. All I've been through. I was abused.
Yeah.
Hope you don't know my story. All I had to endure. I had unfaithfulness in my marriage, and now we got trust issues. I don't even know who I'm married to. I don't even. I don't even know if I even want this thing anymore. I can't Stand looking at him. But mine was reversed. Ron would say, come on, Jazlyn. Is that Ron's? Is that Ron's? That was Ron's struggle. But I ain't gonna tell y' all his. I'm just gonna focus on me. How about that.
Hope?
I was on Medicaid and Medicare, and I got so many bills, and I just. We don't have enough money. I just. We can't make ends meet. And you talk about. God wants to bless you, and God wants you to be an overcomer. And poverty is just a part of me, my family. Me, too. It took us seven years to pay off our first child. I almost gave him back four times. I said, he ain't paid off yet. Can I get. Can I bring him back? He won't sleep. He's acting like his daddy. I'm just going to bring him back. Tax liens, things that we couldn't think. There was no way we could see our way out of financially leaving Greenville to go to California where the prices are four times higher. Then everything in Greenville crumbles, and we come back and can't find a building, and there's just not enough money. God, could you make it rain spiritually? I have so many health issues. Hope, you just don't understand. You don't struggle like I struggle with my health. I can't come to church. I can't come to that untangled conference. Well, right now I have the worst pain I have ever had in my feet. I have been diagnosed with that stupid planter's pain fasciitis mess. And it hurts like the devil, like. Like nails are in my feet. But I don't care if I gotta wear tennis shoes. I'm on dance before the Lord. Ain't nobody gonna out dance me. Ain't nobody gonna out praise me. Ain't nobody gonna steal my praise. I'm gonna step on the head of the devil. My sickness, my pain, my back problems are not going to keep me from going and doing and serving God. Because I'm looking at nothing and calling it what God says. I'm saying what God says because I'm determined that I will obtain those precious promises. My story will not be that she did not. My story will not have that word might in it. Hope you don't know. You don't know my story. I got bad credit, bad credit. I can't get ahead. I get two steps forward and I get knocked 14 steps back. All these things. I'm bitter, I'm angry. I never expected at this age to Be divorced. I never expected at this age to have to start over. I'm ticked. I'm mad. I'm angry. And I deserve to be angry. I deserve to be bitter. Life's been horrible to me. Me, too. Me, too. This is pretty heavy. I ain't used to going to the gym, as you can tell. That's pretty tight, Jazlyn. That's okay. It's okay. But if you don't fight, you don't win. You don't win if you don't fight. I have come today to get you back in the fight. To get you back in the fight. Listen, you are not called to perfection, but you are called to an upward call. It's an upward call. Philippians 3:14. I press. I press. I press. Pressing is not easy. It's getting up when you don't want to get up. It's tithing when you don't want to tithe. It's being kind when you want to cuss somebody out. I press. I press toward the prize. There's a prize that we're pressing toward of the upward call. God in Christ Jesus. It's the faithful call. It's the faithful run. It's the getting up when you don't want to. I press. I press. But you cannot run, and you cannot press when your heart is sick. Doctors will even tell you physically don't exert yourself. You can't run a 5k when you got heart issues. Come on, y'.
All.
No strenuous exercise allowed. And it's the same in life. It's the same in your soulish man. It's same in your mind, your will, your emotions, intellect. When you are weighted down, there's no way you can run. There's no way you can run. You might want to run. Who am I talking to today? You say you telling my story. Oh, I want to run, but I just can't seem to make myself run spiritually. Listen, you can build a beautiful house. I love this analogy. This is. This is the house where your wallpaper matches your curtains. You know what I'm talking about? Decorator approved. I'm talking about a beautiful home. You can build it. You can have molding. I ain't talking about Lowe's molding. I'm talking about molding. I'm not talking about thin doors. I'm talking about them heavy doors. You can build a beautiful home. It can look fabulous from the outside, but if your foundation is crucial.
And.
If the plumbing does not meet together behind those fabulous wallpapered walls, eventually that House is going to have trouble. That was me. That was me. And we've got to stop pretending we are okay when we're not okay. We gotta stop. Stop. We got to come out of darkness, out of ignorance, into light. We got to come out thinking that's the way we're supposed to be. To look right in church. That is not why he paid a terrible price and a horrible death so that you could live yoked. So that you could live bound. I want you to watch this video. About to get you fired up.
Okay?
I used to have skinny legs like her. Run, girl.
Yeah.
So why do we keep running? Hebrews 12:1 and 2. Therefore we are surrounded by a great cloud of witnesses, those gone before us in the stands, cheering us on. So let us say. Let us say. Let me today throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles and trips me up. Let me run with perseverance. The race marked for me. Fixing my eyes. Fixing my eyes on Jesus, the pioneer, the perfecter of my faith. Let us run. Let us run strong with perseverance. With my eyes fixed on Jesus. With my eyes fixed on Jesus. Do we have any runners in here? I didn't think so. I'm not either. You can't look like this and run. You cannot run if you're weighted down with anger and bitterness and unforgiveness, shame, greed and addiction. We got to take that off. We got to take all that off today. We got to start taking all this mess off today and can't nobody take it off for you. You got to take it off. You got to. Whoa. That feels so much better. And you have no idea how much better you're going to feel spiritually when you just lay that stuff down. You got to lay that down and you got to keep your eyes fixed. Listen, if you start looking around, that's where you get in trouble. When you start looking around at everybody running around you and everybody who seems to be going ahead of you, and you start looking at people's numbers and their followers. Or if you keep running and you think it's you because you're so good, you're so holy, you don't. You don't get tripped up by the things other people in the church get tripped up by. You're running and you take your eyes off Jesus and you start looking at. You start looking in the mirror and your works and how good you are, how holy you are. Jesus, help us. See, it's hard. Look, watch me. It's hard. Especially when you've been carrying it a long time. It gets stuck on there and it's hard to get the knots off. But there's a great cloud of witnesses watching you run. Your grandmama's watching you. Your great grandmama's watching you. Peter, James and John are watching you. Listen, we are in a relay race. This is not just your race. You got people cheering you on in heaven who have gone before you. But listen, you got people coming behind you who need you to finish, who need you to finish well and pass your baton. It pass your faith, it pass your strength. Your children are dependent on you. Your grandchildren are dependent on you. Hey, Shabba Baboya Takaya. My grandchildren may never know what I know. If I don't run well and pass my faith, my grandchildren and my children may never be able to overcome what I've overcome if I don't run and keep running and show them how to run with endurance and show them how to fight for their marriage and show them how to raise their children. He's the author. He's the finisher of your faith. And I've chosen to run my race. I'm not comparing myself to you. I fixed my eyes on Jesus. You may not understand it. You don't have to. You gotta fix your eyes and run your race. But I'm determined to be found faithful. There's a great cloud watching us run today. I'm going to love God. I'm going to love people. I'm going to give more than I take and I'm going to be faithful. With my eyes full of fixed on him. I don't have time to worry about you. I don't have time to worry about your mess. I don't have time to worry about your marriage. I don't have time to criticize you. I don't have time to judge you. I don't have time to get in your business because I. I got my eyes fixed. I got my eyes fixed on the prize and I'm trying to get there every single day. I'm trying to run. I'm trying to run. Listen. And if you're tired, if you're weak, if you're weighted down, if you're stuck on the starting line, I need you to take off those weights today so that you can run. You gotta shed those. Shed those pounds. Listen, Runners will tell you there's a way that you have to run. You have to run in certain shoes. What's the Bible say about our feet? There's certain clothes that a runner has to wear. You have to. You can't wear heavy things because it slows you down on the track. You got to wear light stuff. You got. You got to be Rhett to go. You got to take it off now. I'm having some panty problems up here. I got these from Amazon and they are too tight. And y' all gonna see my belly. And these pants right here, they fit me last year, but they do not. I think there's something in my closet that causes things to shrink. So, boys, close your eyes. Cuz, I got to fix myself. Close your eyes. But you got to take that mess off. We ain't got time to be cute. We ain't got time to be fashionable. I didn't come in here to impress you. I came in here with my eyes fixed. Oh, Jesus. I'm determined to get what I came for. I'm determined to get what I came for. I'm determined to get what I came for. It don't have to be cute. It don't have to fit. It don't have to be fashionable or expensive. I just want to pursue Jesus. I just want to get everything he says I can have. I don't want these things right here to slow me down. I don't want to be yoked anymore. I don't want to be yoked to the thing that I was yoked to before I knew him. Now that I know him, I gotta look different. I gotta act different. I gotta talk different. I gotta love different. I gotta be patient different. I gotta expect the best different. I need you today to shed those clothes. Don't do it.

Weeping only endures for a night. But joy comes in the morning. Why in the morning? It's when you wake up. It's a new day. Mercy's new. We didn't get what we deserved. We get to start over every single day. Those of you who are out here who didn't come up. I want you just to ask your neighbor a question. What do you need to shed today? Come on. Don't let anybody be by themselves. Go to somebody. Those who are by yourself, go to somebody. Somebody else. Father, son, say, what is it that that's been holding you down from running this race? Listen, you can run this race even if you tied to a wheelchair. Even if your physical legs cannot get up to run. You can still run in your mind. You can run in your spirit. What's holding you down? It doesn't matter if you're tied to a wheelchair. You're in a hospital room. Today. You're in the darkest season of your life. You've taken your eyes off of Jesus. You've taken taking your eyes off Jesus. You started looking at your situation and your circumstance. You gotta get refocused. You gotta wake up today to this beautiful good life that God has called us to. God has called us to a beautiful good life. Ask your neighbor. Come on. How can I agree with you even down here? What do you need to shed?
Come on.
Ask your neighbor. What do you need to shed? Come on. What you come here for? Just to get out of the house? Thought you came to be untangled.
Wake up. Wake up. Wake up. Wake up. Wake up. Wake up. Wake up. Wake up. Wake up. Wake up. Wake up. Wake up. Wake up. Wake up. Wake up. Wake up. Wake up. Wake up. Wake up. Wake up. Wake up. Wake up. Wake up. Wake up. Wake up. Now lay your hands on your. Wake up. Wake up.
Command that thing to fall.
Wake up. Come on. Wake up. Wake up. Wake up. Wake up. Wake up. You were created for more than that. Wake up.
Wake up.
You were created for more than that. Wake up. Wake up. Wake up. Hello, peace. Hello, joy. Hello, love. Hello, strength. Hello, hope. It's a new rising. Hello peace. Hello, joy. Hello, love. Hello, strength. Hello, hope. It's a new rising. Hello, hello, peace. Hello, joy. Hello, love. Hello, hello. Hello, peace. Hello, hello, joy. Hello, hello, hope. It's a new. It's a new horizon. It's a new day. It's a new day. It's a new ar. Mercy is new every morning. It's a new day. It's a new horizon.
The Lord help us today to wake.
Up.
To the goodness of God that you've called us to. Forgive us for taking our eyes off of you and putting them on. On our situation, on our sickness, on our abuse, our bitterness, our betrayal, our anxiety, our lack, our upbringing, poverty, situations in our home. God forgive us for taking our eyes off of you. Because you're the only way we can run. You're our strength. You're our peace. You're our joy. Now, God, today we all rededicate. To being a runner. To being a runner. Look at your neighbor and say, run, Forrest.
Run.
Run for us.
Run for.
You got this. Nobody said it would be easy, but you got this. Because if you don't fight, you don't win. You don't win. Turn around.
High five.
Three or four people on your way back to your seat. Tell them, say, run. Forest.
You got this. You got this. Sa.
