Ron + Hope: Unfiltered - How to Get Your Prayers Answered

Ron and Hope Carpenter teach how to structure prayer for answers: start with thanksgiving and praise, know Scripture, pray with faith in your identity as a son of God, and bring petitions as declarations. They cover the Lord's Prayer pattern, intercession, and prayers of deliverance, emphasizing relationship with God over ritual.

Hey, everybody, here we are again. It's Ron and Hope. Unfiltered, real raw and relevant. He is getting it.
Now that we're several months into this, I'll be getting our branding down pat. How you guys doing? I hope that you are having a great time, great season in your life. We're going to talk about getting your prayers answered.
Yes. Yes.
Don't cut it off. It's going to be so cute. Oh, that's boring. I don't want to. No. Because I have this philosophy. Everybody pray if they got their prayers answered.
That's right.
You would have to teach on it. You wouldn't have to have prayer conferences. You wouldn't have to write books on it. If people saw their prayer working, it would be an automatic self motivation for them to continue to walk in that discipline every day of their life.
And how many of us have all these cares and concerns and prayers that we've prayed for years after years and we have not seen them answered? It's frustrating. It makes you want to lose hope. It's like, what am I doing? Does God even hear me down here?
And there's a lot of different kinds of prayer. And sometimes we take prayer and we act like soup. We just kind of throw it all in a pot and just call it prayer. There's the Lord's prayer. There is the prayer of faith. There's intercessory prayer. There's all kinds of different prayer in the Bible. And I hope that we can take these next few minutes and kind of break some of those things down. Because I've told you, one of the things that concerns me is I don't want to see a generation come up that don't know how to talk to God and don't know the word of God. And so one of the things that I think has kept us through all of our dark times have been the fact me and you both knew how to talk to God, right? And I think too many Christians now sit out in a building and live through somebody else's experience and have never developed that thing right there on their own. I remember even my oldest son, you remember, he used to tell us, say, that hadn't happened for me or I haven't had that happen in my life yet. And I'm like, excuse me. And I'm like, son, it's available to everybody. There are keys, right? There are keys. God has to be approached the right way. There are certain protocols. And I don't know if we'll get into it because, babe, I tell you, you're the one that keeps it fun. Because I have such a history of teaching. All of the heavens are about legalities.
That's so good.
There's legalities that we need to know. It's not just going out and taking every frustration you have and bah, you know, throwing it toward the sky.
Although God does say, cast your care.
You can cast your care.
That's where you're supposed to.
He sympathizes with our weaknesses. He gets all that. I tell God how I feel all the time, but then I understand there's a time I got to kick it into another gear. Once I've got my frustration out, I got to start praying the prayer of faith. You see what I'm talking about? When I find out that you come home and you say, I'm not feeling good, I'm going to bed, I have to learn how to pray. Intercessory prayer. So many different things. Prayers of deliverance, we haven't appropriated. I don't think them properly. We haven't taught them. Well, that goes on me and others like me. But you set the tone for where you kind of want this to go, because I'm going to tell you, we could do this for hours.
This topic right here, I do on the RIF app every Wednesday morning what we call pray and slay. And I always do a little teaching before we go into prayer, before I start taking prayer requests. And I was talking to him today, and I said, you know, you live in today, what you did yesterday. Right. Our world today is a result of.
Our decisions and today's harvest.
And so it's the same way even I believe with our prayer and our confessions of faith and what we believe. And I said, you know, you can't go to the gym one time every two weeks and expect a transformation in your body. All you're going to do is get sore and frustrated.
I heard some faith teachers one time say, if you ask God more than one time, that means you didn't ask good faith and didn't believe. But the Bible does not bear that out. The Bible says prayer is likened. And he talked about the widow woman who came to the judge, and she kept coming to the judge, and she kept coming. And he said, if I don't do something about this woman, this woman is going to wear me out. What it's saying. So I do believe that there's a repetitive nature by which we continue to bombard heaven until some type of breakthrough or manifestation is taking place.
Absolutely. Like mine, in your own life.
Yeah.
I mean, how many times did your grandparents pray for you up at night? Our parents prayed for us. I mean, I could hear my mom praying for me in the wee hours and it would make me mad, you know, as a teenager. But, I mean, she prayed a long time before she saw anything. You know, your grandma prayed a long time before you surrendered to the call in ministry. We prayed a long time and with travail over our children before we saw any turnaround. Yes.
Let me just start off by saying, first of all, there's your general prayer life. This is the development of a relationship with God. This is learning how to talk to God. Away with the. The Almighty, wise God unto thee, but away with that.
He don't require.
That God would do. If you came up to me talking like that, I would say, helloist. Yeah, what are you talking about? I think sometimes God is like, who are you talking to? You know, and I'm a friend that sticks closer than a I'm friend. I'm brother. The Bible says that he's not ashamed to call us brethren. We've got to be able to approach God as being real and understanding us and not this person who's far away and doesn't get us. So the generalities of prayer. Do you remember? Could you not Tarry One Hour by Larry Lee.
Oh, my goodness. Yeah.
That's the first book I ever read after I was born again and don't hear much about the book anymore. But back then it was basically the stalemate book on prayer. On prayer. And basically what he did was said the Lord's Prayer. Our Father, which art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. He basically took that and broke it down into segments and said, when they said, lord, teach us to pray, Jesus wasn't saying, every time you talk to me, say this thing right here, right? That'd be like, you know, that's just pure intention.
He's given a pattern.
He's given a pattern. Our Father, which art in heaven, you enter his gates with thanksgiving. You enter his courts with praise. In other words, you don't come up in God's face complaining. You don't come up in God's face grumbling and griping. You enter his gates with thanksgiving. You posture yourself with a thankful heart, focused on what is going right, not on what is going wrong. Focused on the blessings, the journey, everything he's brought you through, every time he's rescued you. You take those things in your mind, you bring them in Your mind before God, and it postures you in a place where he will accept you to what I call next level. So then after I've entered the gates with thanksgiving, I enter his courts with praise. Praise is now telling God who he is and how wonderful he is. And so, like, I praise you. Yes. Okay. Like, I. We'll move right on with raw and relevant and unfiltered and how you look.
Good from working out. What a great husband you are.
You didn't even notice my new shoes today. I had to ask you. I said, why don't you say nothing about my outfit?
I was in a meeting and he came back in. I was on a zoom and stuck his feet out in his shoes. And he was like, you like it? You didn't even say anything about it. I'm like, how old are you? 12.
You got to say something about my outfits, baby. Men need praise.
Praise. Yeah.
So you could easily do that. 8, 10, 12 minutes. I mean, we do it in church every Sunday for 30, right? You know, we just put them, put songs to it, put music to it, and our follower church. Hallowed be thy kingdom come. Then kingdom prayers. Kingdom prayers. What is the kingdom? It's the extension of God's rule. He came to bring the kingdom of heaven back into the earth. I want your kingdom in my life, in my kids life, in my economy, in my health, in my attitude, in my job, in my business. I want your kingdom to come, your will to be done in every aspect of our life. Another 5, 10, 15, 20 minutes or an hour if it's Ron Carpenter, and give us this day our daily bread. That can be thanking God for your daily provision and literally your food. But I think he's saying something. The word is likened unto bread. He says, give me a word today. So in other words, you have a segment of your prayer time where you're saying, God, speak to me today about today, right? Ready me for who I'll meet. Ready for me. Ready me for what I will do. Ready me for what I will encounter.
We are not guaranteed tomorrow.
Exactly right. Ready me today for today. I can't live off what you said yesterday. And tomorrow's another day. But right now, give me today, my daily bread. Every word that proceeds out of the.
Mouth of today on Riff, I said, talked just about this, and I said, you know, his word is a lamp unto our feet, a light unto our path. I said, and when you go into a room and you turn on the lamp, does it light the whole room? Does it light the whole house? Absolutely not. It just gives you a little bit of space that is lit. And that's the way God's word is in our life, that daily bread. He just gives you just enough to get you to obey that word. Then you, the lamp of the word opens up again to get you a few more steps on down the road.
See, this is what happens when we play off each other. Now I'm about to explode with all this stuff that's in Psalm 119, pardon me. And you know what he's referring to there when he said, it's a lamp unto my feet. In Hebrew times, the psalmist was referring to. They had this thing that they would put on the end of their shoe, which was like a little oil lantern and could in some ways even be a candle so that when they would travel at night, there was no street light, that they would have their feet lit for their next step.
That's so good.
They did not light the path. No, but they had enough illumination for their next step.
One step at a time.
And what we need sometime is just God to give me illumination on my next. Sometimes people come to me and start sharing vision. They throw it out and I say, wait a minute, wait a minute. What's next? Yes, because then there'll be a next, and then there'll be a next.
Have you obeyed the word that you just got?
Yep. So a lot of times the word comes in, I need a word for this next God. So there's a time we need to pray for that. I don't want to bore everybody, but, I mean, I could go all the way through. Give us this daddy breath. Forgive us of our sins. A time of repentance, a time of self evaluation.
Always.
Is there anything separating you from God? Sin you mess up does not mean that you've lost your salvation. But sin is a separator.
It is.
Sin is a separator. And there's a time where you're closing out your prayer. You turn into Lord, create in me a clean heart, renew a right spirit in me. If there's anything where I've missed you. The word sin means miss the mark. Anything where I've missed the mark anywhere where I've displeased you, disobeyed you. Right now I come asking for a prayer.
How many times did you pray that prayer as a teenager?
About as many times as I do now.
You remember every night you'd go home?
No, I was scared I was going to go to hell. No, I was scared I was going to go to hell. It was totally Different.
Please forgive me, please. And you remember the prayer. Chase, our oldest son, used to. We were trying to teach our kids how to pray.
I think he still prays it that way. Don't think it ever shifted.
And so we were trying to teach them how to repent at night. Lord, forgive me for the sins that I've committed today. And so Chase, as a little boy, I think he was like 3 and 4.
Went on up to 7.
Yeah. 8, 9, 10, 11, 12. He'd say, Lord, thank you for the sins that I've made. Lord, I thank you for the sins of the.
Thank you for the ability to sin. Thank you. Thank you for every one of them.
God knew his heart, but he got it mixed up.
I just sit there and just shake me. Lord, we thank you for every one of them. You know, anyway, that's Chase. And so anyway. And forgive us our trespasses as we forgive others. You know, this is something you break down. It's not our Father we church. You pray that every time, that would be meaningless to you, but you come down and you break it down into segments. And all of a sudden it's real easy to turn around. You spent 30, 40 minutes with God. Because when I first started praying, I just got down and talked about everybody I knew about and asked God to bless them and protect them.
And your needs, God, give me this.
And I turn around and look, you know, at my watch that time, you know, six minutes had passed, and I'm like.
And you felt like you'd been there two hours.
How do people stand here an hour and pray? I've said everything I know to say. That book, honestly, was one of the few books that probably changed my life. It is the first book I read after I got saved. So I think just in the first 15 minutes, just a prayer life. This is just general communion, communication with God. And this has evolved for me. Hope there's the prayer without ceasing. I don't really have a. I was.
About to ask you what about the.
I don't really have an amen. I don't have an amen, really. I have until my next moment, until my. I pray walking down the hall, right? I mean, TMI too much. I can go to the bathroom and I'm praying and I get in my car. Thank you, Lord.
I think that's an attitude of prayer.
I'm a constant awareness that he's there. Call on me and I will answer you. And sometimes my heart. I mean, I. Riding home and see the sun setting behind the mountain, and I Just, Lord, I bless you.
Well, prayer. Prayer is a relationship. It's birthed out of relationship.
We've looked at it as a chore.
Right. We look at it as our checkoff list.
You gotta pray and you gotta read the Bible.
Yeah. Like, okay, I got to. And if you don't get up at 5am you're looked down as, like, you're not doing it right. And I don't believe that's God's heart for us. It's our relationship with him. It's just like our relationship, you know, I shouldn't have to schedule a time to talk to you.
It's all about relationship.
Yeah, we talk all the time. There are times we schedule when it's very serious or important, but.
Or if we've been away from each other for a while. Yeah, but we communicate all the time. I think that's what God wants. Honestly, the whole reason he came was for relationship. The whole reason he created Adam in the first place is something to love and to be in relationship with Adam. Sin destroyed that. Jesus wanted it back, so he paid a horrible price to get it. But I used to tell people years ago, I remember preaching this in one of my messages. You know, I went through a time where I preached a lot outside the church, and. And it was a pretty tough schedule to keep. Honestly, I look at even sometimes our music and our prayer and how unrelational. If I drove up in the driveway after preaching somewhere three days and came back, and I've been away from my family three or four days, and you and all three of my kids, and you had them stacked in front of y', all, and y' all were standing in the driveway. A mighty fortress is our father ugly. I would get out of the car and.
You'D think, we're crazy.
You know, hey, Dad, I love. We missed you. That's relational. And is our music relational? Is our prayer time relational? Away with this. You gotta pray and read your Bible. Because that was a weakness of how we were raised in our generation. I didn't even know why. I just know it was a discipline. Doggone it. You're supposed to do it. Yeah. And it was very hard to receive the joy from it.
And I think Larry Lee addressed that in that book when he said discipline.
Desires become discipline and disciplines become delights.
Delight. Yeah. At first, it is a discipline for somebody who's never done it before, who did not make that a part of their everyday, their communication with God himself, even on their mind, even on their heart. So at first it is Something that you know you have to work into your life. But then when you get the refreshing, when you get the power of it, when you leave his presence with tears streaming down your face or with peace in your heart, when you came into his presence with anxiety, when you start to get the results of spending time. Let's not even call it prayer, call it spending time with Jesus, it does become a delight and you want to keep doing it.
Amen. Nothing's wrong. I'm just. When I look at you, I get distracted.
Oh, my God.
I'm trying to gather my thoughts.
Okay.
Two other things I want to hit in the time we got. This time's going by fast. Is it the prayer of faith? Jesus went into rooms where everybody was wailing and crying and cleaned them out before he would perform a miracle. He got the doubters out of the room because he knew the power of the environment they were creating and he would just out. And the prayer of faith is not a would you. It's not a maybe. It is an understanding, sweetheart, of what is already yours in Jesus Christ right now. This is a whole different posture. And I'm going to tell you, this is one of the most life changing things I've ever learned and saw my prayers being answered at a much accelerated pace when I learned this principle. Most people come and ask God to do things that the Bible says have already been done.
Yeah, we have. Our won't listen.
Lord, would you heal me? Yeah, Lord, would you? Would you protect my children today? Would you when you come and ask God for stuff that he says is already yours? You have postured yourself as an outsider.
Right.
You're outside.
He looks at us like, what are you asking me this for? I've already paid the price.
Exactly. I had a man that I was raising up one time in the church and who I gave him the world, gave him the best I had, gave him my life, gave everything. And he took a large number of people and split the church. And I remember I asked him one time, I said, why did you become a thief in the house? I said, when you were already a son, I said, you didn't have to steal anything. I said, I would have given you anything. And that's what the prodigal son. When the prodigal son left and came back, the elder son got an attitude because the treatment was no different, even though he had made a mess out of his father's inheritance. And he went and sat on the porch. The father's got to leave now and hit this other side of the Drama. And he sits there and says, father, you never gave me a ring, you never killed me a calf, you never threw me a party. And father lets him get it out. And then he says one word, son.
Established him, son.
He spoke to the relationship. You are talking to me like a servant. You're an asker. Can I have it? Can I have it? He said, son, everything I have is yours. So he established, if you knew who you were, the things you're asking me, could you have had, you would have already gotten for yourself.
So there's the problem. Identity, oh my.
We don't have enough time.
In Christ to know our rights as Kingdom citizens.
Number one problem maybe, or number two that I would rate in the Kingdom is identity theft. The enemy has just come and taken the identity of God's people. We don't know who we are, don't know what we got, don't know how to ask. So the Bible says, make your petitions known to God. This all runs together and this is hours of teaching. I'm trying to do it in five or six minutes. Make your petitions known to God. That's my request. What's in my heart? What am I wanting to see happen in my life? Okay, so I make those petitions known to God with thanksgiving. Then. The peace that passes all understanding shall guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus. The peace is the witness that you've been heard and it's been answered. That's your inner witness. So let me do what I actually did this past Sunday. Hand me my phone, please. Thank you. When did I tell you thank you?
After I gave you the phone, when.
The action was completed. The Bible says, bring your prayer request, thanking him that it's already done because Jesus on the cross said it is finished. Everything that you need for your economy, everything you need for every disease you could ever be diagnosed with, every time you'll ever need your children watched over, away from your home or even under your care, everything you need provided for you in favor on a job and with your resume, everything you need. We have been blessed with every spiritual blessing in heavenly places. So what do we do? We come to God. And I told people, I think it was two Sundays ago or last Sunday, I actually told the people, said, listen to me pray. I just stopped and said, now I want you to listen to me. And I got a ton of response out of that. People saying, man, that revolutionized my thing. So I started walking around the room and I said, concerning protection, Lord, I thank you that you have commanded your angels concerning me to guard Me in all my ways. I thank you that a thousand fall at my right side, 10,000 at my right hand, but no harm shall come.
So you don't go into his presence saying, please.
I know that Jesus has finished it. I know that I'm a son. I know that I'm in the house and everything that the Father has is mine. Yes, and it's a whole different thing when you go around. And there's another element to this. Jesus says, if you abide in me and my words abide in you, ask whatever you will, anything, whatever you. In other words, if you already have what God's word said on it, if you already had the word on it, then you take it. And his word will not return void. He wants his word returned to him. So when he gives his word in the earth, he wants it to turn around and be so void.
It's almost like reminding.
What does it do? It creates a cycle between the unseen and the seen, between the heavens and the earth. So, Lord, I thank you that you protect me. Lord, I thank you that you have supplied all my needs. I thank you, Lord. Right now that we eat the fat of the land, I thank you that we are the head and not the tail. Lord, I thank you that we're above.
Thank you. That sweet will be my sleep and undisturbed will be my composure. That's what the word says.
That you will keep in perfect. I don't have any anxiety. You keep in perfect peace.
Whose mind is stayed.
Whose mind is stayed on you. Lord, I thank you that you've not given us spirit of fear. That's not our spirit.
Let me interrupt you. So all of this is the word of God, right?
That's why you pray and read your Bible.
So if you don't know the word, if you're not in the Word, you can't pray, right? You don't. You're not going to get your answers if you're a beggar, if you don't know your rights and your benefits, which is the manual, the word of God.
Does this work if my words abide in you, ask whatever you want. So he said, get my word in you and then ask. So in other words, bring your petitions with thanksgiving. So it is open your heart about your needs and then declare the word of God back into the heavens. And then you're going to create this cycle between heaven and earth and hope. It was probably six, seven years ago before I like, oh, oh. Because I thought make your petition known with thanksgiving means having a thankful heart. That was not what he was saying, come to God knowing that everything you need is finished. It's already yours.
It's the whole mind. It's knowing the character.
It's revolutionary.
It's knowing the character of God. If you don't know the character in the heart of God, that he has good plans for you, that he's. He's got plans to give you a hope, to give you a future, that he doesn't have one bad day planned for you. That God is a good God and he has John 10:10. The thief comes to do all these things. Kill, steal and destroy. He said, but I've come that you might have life and have it abundantly. God has a good life plan for us. God has an abundant life planned for us. But we got to know who we are in him and we got to know what he says about us. We got to know what the promises of God are before we can begin to operate in it. That's why it's so frustrating when we deal with who won't get in the Word, who won't read their Bible. And it's not one of those things. Again, like prayer. It's not one of those, okay, you got to get up at 5 o' clock and read your Word. You got to get up. No, the Bible says hide it in your heart.
This is hurting us. This is hurting us that you don't sin. Because why do I memorize it if Google's got it memorized? But the Bible says the Word has to get in me.
Yes.
Not let me look it up right quick and say it.
Yes. It's got to get in you.
The Word. The Word is sown in their hearts. So I've got to get the word of God and I've got to get it down in my heart. You know, I use Google when I'm compiling information for a message that I'm doing on Sunday. But I'm not sitting here and my declarations before God trying to let me, let me find scriptures in my phone. These are things that I've tucked away inside of me for generations. I can speak them with power. I can speak them with authority. And when I feel the doubt and unbelief trying to squelch it, I see it with all the more fervor. Why? Because here now comes the next wave. I got two more, actually. Is passion. I used to have people, you know, I'm pretty intense. No, but I'm not. I'm not an extrovert. I'm not an extrovert, am I? You're not an extrovert, but I am intense. I am intense. I can't help it. I'm intense about everything. I'm intense as a fan. I mean, you see me at a ball game and you just sit there and shake your head at me.
I do. You embarrass me.
You know, I'm intense. When my kids played ball, I was worse than the coach. I walked the sidelines.
You embarrassed me there, too.
I'm just intense. I'm built that way. And the Bible says the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man. What is righteous? Righteous is not wholly righteous is someone who's been right standing with God through Jesus Christ. So the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much, means, produces much, or bears much fruit. I used to have people in my intensity that would somewhat mock me and my praise and my worship and I guess what they would call his antics or whatever, they would. Basically. It don't take all that. It don't take all that. And my. My understanding is it has to come with a certain fervor.
Yeah. If it doesn't mean anything to you.
It doesn't mean anything to God. Exactly.
I mean, he's got to know that you want it.
When I come in, when I'm on the east coast and I'm walking around in our place of meeting, when I'm on the west coast and I'm walking around that room and I'm declaring what God wants to do in that city, hoping if you open the door and watch me, you think I was a wild man because of the fervor.
How bad you want it.
That's exactly right. This is how bad I want to see God do this.
Yeah. Don't tell me you want your marriage. Don't tell me you want your marriage saved, but you're not willing to get up in the morning and pray. You're not willing to push the plate back and believe God and fast and do the necessary things.
We want to come to the altar and have somebody passionately pray for us.
Yes. We want. We want the fairy dust.
Yes. But we don't want to plow through it ourselves. So then there's this element of passion. See, right now I've already shown you about six or seven different dynamics to prayer. It should never be boring. But the last one is the legal part, the Bible. I'm going to shake people up here because this is my kingdom theology. And I hate to throw these darts out without time to package it because people don't know where you're coming from. There have been a gazillion books written on spiritual warfare. The Bible does talk about pulling down strongholds, but spiritual, that. He's talking about that in the mind that goes on between your ears. But I'm talking about spiritual warfare where we wave banners and scream at the ceiling and the whole thousand people in a room and all jacked up, telling the devil.
Screaming at the devil.
Yeah. There was always something about. Even though I didn't have my theology or doctrine, there was always something about it when I was in those settings that felt weird. Felt weird. It just felt, are we missing something here? Is this really doing anything? And we are citizens in a kingdom. We are not members in a church. We are citizens in a kingdom. Citizens have rights and privileges of citizenship. One of those is that they are protected by military. In a kingdom, citizens do not fight. I've never understood the spiritual warfare part.
Ooh wee.
Citizens don't fight. He commands his angels concerning you. Concerning you. Angels are God's warring and ministering spirits.
And we never use them.
Every prayer I end angels go you who excel in strength and who hearken to the voice of the word of God now and do the word. So angels hearken to the word of God in your mouth?
In my mouth.
They don't hearken to your words. They hearken when they hear the word of God spoken out of my mouth. And so I have the ability to command and dispatch angelic warring presences on my behalf. So one of the things I try to tell people is the woman who said, avenge me speedily from my adversary kept coming before the judge. Jesus said, this is what the kingdom is like. This is what prayer is like. So God is a mighty, wise God and judge. And I started thinking this was, what, three, four years ago, God started giving me some of this revelation, all of the imagery of a courtroom. When talking about heaven, he talks about the testimony of the blood. That's courtroom language. Talks about the great cloud of witnesses. Witnesses language. Talks about the accuser of the brethren, the enemy and his accusations. That's the accuser. Then you got Jesus, who is the only advocate and only mediator between God and man. That's a lawyer. And I'm like, God is a judge. I said, heaven is a courtroom. So when the woman wanted to be avenged from her adversary, she didn't go fight him. She went to the court. And all you got to do is get a ruling from the court, and the adversary is destroyed.
Come on.
So when I come up on the end of My prayer time. Can I just teach? Yes. Lord, I thank you that by the blood of the lamb I approach you. I can't approach you on my own words. By the blood of the lamb and by that blood only can I approach you now. And, Lord, I thank you that my accuser and his accusations are cast down. And he has no argument against me. Now, let me stop right there. What do you mean, argument against me? When Job, when in the book of Job, when God called Satan into accountability, said, where you been? He said, walking to and fro in the earth. That word to and fro in the Hebrew means gathering information. He's finding every flaw in your life, and he's coming to court to make a legal argument against you.
So if there's hidden things, he's making a legal argument, he's confessed, he's got.
A foothold in your life, and he comes to the court.
Yeah.
Because he's your accuser.
Yeah.
And he will approach the court with reasons why this should not be happening in your life, reasons why this should.
Be withheld in your life.
Right. And so we don't understand that we have to approach the court. And when the judge rules in my favor, then the accuser and his accusations are cast down. And the Bible says all of my days were ordained for me and written in a book before one of them came to be. What? That the Bible says the court was seated in Nehemiah 9. The court was seated and the books were opened. And in other words, there's a book in heaven with my life.
Yeah.
And what that courtroom does is God rules in favor. In spite of my sins and my conduct, my failures and behavior, that whatever is written in the book still has legal right to enter the earth on my behalf. So now there's this. When you're praying and believing and let's warring waiting for something. This is a legal battle. Why did Jesus come?
That's why you got to know. You're right.
Jesus always talked about authority.
Yes, authority.
And the people would watch him, say, by what authority is he doing this? He speaks. And even Windows. The whole thing was about authority. Because authority means who will rule. The conflict of the ages is over who will rule. And so when you say, in the name of Jesus, you have now been authorized to execute everything Jesus said.
Gosh, this is so good. Are y' all listening?
It's revolutionary. It's revolutionary.
This is deep. You're gonna have to listen to it four times, five times, but it will change your life. Not just getting up and driving to work and having lunch and going home. This stuff, this stuff is real.
Yeah, this is, this is. Now back to real practical pastor. Get out of preacher mode, come back to me and you know I drive a forklift on second shift. Give me something that works. I just did. Your motivation to pray again is when you saw the last one answered. Since I have learned these things, I don't know how you put a percentage on it. All I can tell you it moves.
Heaven, it moves on your behalf.
There's been an acceleration in answered prayers and manifestations of faith, of things that I was believing for. And right now, honestly, if we could say it in the last three to four years, it's like it's. It's like it's gotten off a country road and hit the autobahn.
Yes.
Because me and you sometimes are shaking our heads at the things that are happening, how fast it's moving and the opportunities that have risen and. But I think there's a lot of it that goes hand in hand with we know more.
Right.
And when you peer behind that curtain and God gives you keys, keys open doors and we're seeing doors open faster.
And our life, we've reigned in our life on a greater level. The accuser doesn't have hardly anything to bring. Yes. To withhold things from our life, to say, yes, they are not worthy, they are guilty. So I mean there's a lot of things that comes into play when you're trying to get your prayers answered. And bottom line, every single person listening to us, if you're a Christian, if you're a Jew, if you're a Muslim, if you're Hindu, if you're an agnostic, if you're an atheist. Every one of us have cares and concerns in our heart. Every one of us have trials and pain and. And we want resolution and we want answers. But there are keys. There are keys. How can people listening. Ron, find out more about this, about this subject. Where can they find you and your teaching?
I didn't know you'll say that, but I don't want to do this and be self promoting hope. I've written a book. I wrote a book off of a series of messages that I taught that were when we did DVDs and CDs on a DVDs and CDs on a big level before everything went digital. That was my best selling of all time by far. The Necessity of an Enemy.
The Necessity of an Enemy.
The Necessity of an Enemy. The book was good, but you're a phenomenal writer. I'm not Saying that you're my wife. I told you when I read your book, I said I was amazed because you wrote your book. A ghostwriter didn't write it, you wrote it. And I was amazed at your ability, almost of a hidden talent I didn't know that you had. You write so eloquently. I do not feel like I possess that gift. I feel like I say it better. You know me, I want to get in front of people and talk, because when I can get in front of you and talk, I feel like that's probably my strongest way of communication. So I don't know that I'm going to write a hundred. I may. I don't know how I feel when I'm in a retirement age or later on, but I feel like I say it better than I write it. So I created something called the Vault. Yes. It has a $9.99 subscription. Okay. I pay a lot of third party fees. I pay a lot of administration fees. We digitally remaster things from cassette tapes from 30 years ago. There's a lot of investment that has gone into it. But instead of paying. But Instead of paying $9 for a CD for one message, everything, you have access to my entire library, which is over 2000 hours of teaching on every topic imaginable at your leisure. I probably got 50 hours of prayer teaching. And so I would encourage you all to go to the website and hit the icon, the vault.
What website?
Roncarpenter.com?
Yep.
And thank you for that. And look up the Vault, because can I be honest with you? Those are my ministerial fellowship. People in the churches, people at large who've been watching us on TV that want access to all of it. My entire life's library is in there. And we've gone to great lengths to make it good. So I would like to offer that to you. For those of you say, I want to deepen my well, because I put a great amount of emphasis on preaching and teaching, and hopefully it'll bless your life. We need to get out of here.
And also listen to end it. Prayer is not religious. It's not a duty.
People make it religious.
It's not supposed to be that. And if it's that for you, if you've been taught that, I'm sorry. We're sorry. It's supposed to be you just spending time and loving on Jesus. Spending time because I love my husband. I want to spend time with him. Because we love Jesus. We want to spend time with him. Make it a priority. Make it a priority. You don't have to get up at 4:45. You know, it's make it work for you. Let him know how much you love him and how much you want to be in his presence. And I promise you, if it's new to you, it will become a delight to you. We love you. If you want to connect with us, we're both on Instagram, we're on Facebook, we're on the Riff app, we're on TikTok, we're on all of it. Just trying to bless your life. We love you. Till next time, it's Ron and Hope Unfiltered, the real, the raw, the relevant.
