Hey, guys. What you doing out there? It's Ron and Hope. Unfiltered, real raw and relevant. I wish the camera. Camera was rolling like five minutes ago because Ron was talking about his favorite fingernail color.
And it's pink and red.
And red. Yes.
Pink and pink and red on you.
But then he said, what did you say about white? You can't remember. Yeah, right.
You just don't want to get pink. I said, pink and red.
He said, but a lot of my.
Favorite colors on people.
If they are tan. I said, on people, so.
But I didn't like the dark colors. Mostly on nails. Yeah, but then I said about like pink and red on you. White. I don't.
You did. You said on people with a dark tan. I said, we're not talking about people.
She's making things up.
We are talking about you need to.
Be truthful about your feelings. That's what we were talking about. I'm telling you, that's what we were talking about before we came in here. Remember?
I said, you don't want me to.
Be very truthful, but I came up to kiss you and you tried to push me off. And I said, you're not being honest with your feelings.
He did, but I was trying to hurry up and get out here, and you. And I pushed you away. I said, ron, come on, we gotta go. He said, you're not being truthful with your feelings.
We don't push Ron away.
We don't. No, we.
That's never a good idea.
We.
I'm too good.
Ron.
Too good a husband.
You are sounding really like he's too good a husband. What's the word?
You can't let me come up to you.
Haughty.
You can't let me come up to you and show you affection and you give me the push. Affection. Because you give me a push.
You know what? We hadn't had a word in a while.
Affection.
You did say. You said effects. You can't let me show you affection.
Because when you push.
Please don't show me affection.
When you push, you're moving back to your family roots. And we tried to break away from that.
What are you talking about?
Your grandmother.
Oh, my gosh.
Remember my kindness? I reached out to your grandmother in kindness.
Yes. When we were first married, and she came up to you and said, ron, I just love your preaching so much. It just means so much. And you went up to her to kind of like put your arm around her and hug her, and she pushed you away immediately. Yeah.
She was warm.
She Wasn't having it.
She was warm. The whole family just embraced me from the beginning, didn't they, Ron? They just loved me.
Well, they love you now.
I got pushed, so that scar is there from your grandmama doing that when you did it. That's what it reminded me of this morning. So you can't push me like that.
And I need to be true to my feelings.
Be true to your feelings? Just roll with it. Even if you're busy. Just roll with it. I know how you really feel.
Okay, well, if you know how I really feel, then I don't need to do it.
No, I know what you really. I'm trying to. Trying to break you free.
If y' all can see the people in here taping us, they are cracking up.
What we're talking about. I mean, there's cough drop. I'm trying to hurry up and get a drink.
Yeah, you get on my nerves, too. Crackling it. Anyway, today we are talking about salvation, but we are asking the question, can you be once saved, always saved, no matter what? I was brought up Southern Baptist. We believe that once saved, always saved. And then we went to the Pentecostal Holiness Church.
I believe you saved, but about 10 minutes at a time.
Listen, you could not keep your salvation. I mean, if you stumped your toe and said a ugly word, you were going to hell on a slip and slide.
It was right.
Then you had to start all over.
This is a lofty concept, and I don't know how many people this will intrigue out there, but I want to talk about. We want to talk about, number one, is salvation really free?
Yes.
Because if it's really free, then you're always saved.
Come on.
If it's not really free, if there's.
A payment for it, if there's a.
Payment and there's a condition, then you're not always safe. And there's a couple of things in the Bible that I think people have misconstrued that says people who do this cannot enter the kingdom of God. People who do this cannot enter the kingdom of heaven. There's a lot of scriptures that say that. So they preach that as basically, you do these things, you lose it. Okay, but this is a game changer, what I'm gonna say here. There is a difference between the kingdom of heaven and the place.
Yes, I agree.
The kingdom of heaven is not the place called heaven. There are things that I can do and be saved, but I can't inherit God's promises. You see what I'm talking about here on Earth, here on earth, but it has not affected my salvation whatsoever. So let's back up and let's talk about it. Because when I hit things like this that are controversial, I like to what I call build my house. I don't like to shop. Yeah, you want to prove that.
You don't want to say, well I think this or I was taught that. What does the word say?
Now I want to get right to what the words say. And I want to probably have a lot of people that I'm going to make mad, then a lot of other people, I'm going to make them go think about it again. But I want to touch this thing on this salvation really free. Because the fact is, those of us that were raised in any type of spirit filled environment, usually that environment also held with it conduct and behavioral conditions were taught. Maybe not all of them, but the majority of them, those two things went hand in hand. And then we had our non Pentecostal friends who basically we thought their lifestyle was a little more loose because their doctrine was flawed. So forget. Let me give you an example. All my friends went to Baptist churches around me. When I was growing up, my dad never would let me go to Baptist churches. He just wouldn't. But I remember they weren't stricken. Yeah, this one handful of times. I don't know how it happened, but I was able to take one of my Baptist friends to church with me and we went back to his house to eat dinner after. And they were good Baptist people, good people. And we went back to his house to eat lunch after dinner. I don't know the dynamics of it. It was a long time ago. And I remember we walked through, his mama was cooking, said, did y' all have a good service? I said, yeah. And I said his name. I said, yeah. And I told her son, I said, he got saved today. I was just being funny.
Yeah.
But she stopped right dead in her tracks because she knew as Pentecostals what we were taught. She said, once saved, always saved. I mean, if she wanted to give me a directive that at their house they didn't believe this, you get saved 47 times a year out of 52 Sundays.
Yeah. If he got saved at 10, no matter what he's doing right now, he's still saved.
The fact is, guys, let me go right here and not be theological, but try to keep you intrigued in this because it has a lot to do with your peace of mind and it has a lot to do with the way you view God. And the way you view God will end up Being the way you serve God. And so let me talk about this a little bit. The Bible makes it clear, number one, that salvation is a gift. What is the nature of a gift? At our 30th, everybody sees it. I don't care. At our 30th anniversary, we upgraded your ring. I saved money for a long time. I put back. We traded in the other one. We upgraded to that. I wanted to make a statement that you are now more than ever, my forever girl. Aw. And so we went all in, and we got that ring. Okay. Now, the fact is, it would be very hurtful to me. It would be devastating to me if.
I was like, ew, I hate that ring.
But you can walk out if I truly gave that to you as a gift.
Yeah.
You can go do anything you want to with that gift. It might not be a good decision, but that is your gift. And I didn't lend it to you. I didn't give it to you for payment. I didn't let you borrow. Is a gift. The Bible says that salvation is the gift of God, lest any man should boast. So that goes back to if by my behavior, I can earn it or by my behavior, I can lose it, I can boast about it.
Right.
And God said it's a gift because I took the right for you to brag about it away forever. You will never be able to have done anything to get this gift. It is my gift to you. You use it how you want to. It can work for you. It can. It can work against you.
It says everything about his heart for me.
Exactly. And that's another thing. I'll go there. I wasn't going to talk about that, but since you brought it up, I'll go there. If I give you a gift, it does not say to anybody how much you love me.
Right.
That ring does not tell anybody how much hope loves me. That ring tells everybody what I think about my wife. That shows the priority that she has in my life. So when God gives you a gift, it does not speak to our heart for him. It speaks to his heart for me.
Oh, that's so good. That is so.
It speaks to how much God loves me. It don't speak to how much I love him back.
So I can receive the gift of salvation and be saved. But it doesn't really. My lifestyle doesn't say anything about salvation. Right.
Your lifestyle will never change till you get to the place of your mind.
Right.
Your salvation experience has done nothing to your mind.
Nothing.
Nothing to the way you make my.
Spirit man come alive.
Your spirit, man has come alive. And you get up from that with a God consciousness you didn't have. Now you've got another voice speaking. Now you've got somebody else sending signals. And the Bible says that you'll have a delight to serve God in your inner man. You're going to get up from the altar with this inner want to. To do the right thing, right? It will be a struggle.
It's going to be a struggle.
It will be a battle. Because your flesh, until the mind is renewed, because your flesh is pulling one way always. And the Bible says that the flesh and the spirit are contrary to one way. They're at war. Your mind is in the middle saying, where do I go? Where do I go? Where do I go?
So whatever you sow to is where you gonna go.
Yeah, what you sow to is where you're gonna go to. And so if you sow to the spirit, it's life and peace. If you sow to the flesh, the Bible says it's death. So the fact is, the point that I think we need to make at the beginning and you interject, you know, I'm the preacher. I can go off on this for an hour. Salvation is given by God as a gift. And the Bible has made it clear that it's grace plus nothing. As soon as you tack one thing onto it, you're robbing God of his glory. Salvation is not our victory. Salvation is God's victory that he's thoroughly defeated. The power of sin, the power of Hades, the power of death. Hell and the grave. Death has lost its sting. Jesus annihilated all of it in one great big sweep and offered the gift of salvation to all who will believe in their heart and confess with their mouth. So the fact is. Okay, here we go. Don't be controversial. Liar. Murderer. Okay, good. Bad. Slime. Cheat. Scumbag. Gay.
Come on, somebody.
Fornicator.
Ron is preaching.
Fornicator. Yeah, exactly right. Whatever it is, whatever. Whoever calls on the name of the Lord is saved. Will be saved.
Yeah, period. But your lifestyle only changes and plays out when you start renewing your mind and sowing to the things of the spirit. Let me stop right here. We have got to say, stopping at a rough place.
We on a roll.

So here we are back to when you are saved. You're a three part being, right? Body, soul, spirit. The only thing that changes is that your spirit man wakes up and comes alive.
You're a whole.
You're alive into Christ.
You're a trinity.
Yes.
You're building the image of your God. God is Father, Word and Spirit. We say Son and Spirit, but the Bible says Father, Word and Spirit. The Word became flesh. The Word is his earthly. I mean Jesus is his earthly name, but his eternal name is Word. And so God is a trinity, triune, three in one. And we are in his image, built the same way. Spirit, Soul and body. But I'm one person. And so we understand though we are saved as a person, God does it in three dimensions. And one of them is immediate, one of them is a process and one of them shall be. So spiritually, I'm perfected and it cannot be increased upon. I am born again of God spiritually. Yep. I am of his creature. Of his God, Yes. Now, secondly, be ye transformed. That word is cocooned metamorphosis, like the caterpillar to the butterfly. It is a process by the renewing of your mind. Of your mind through the life of.
The washing of the word, through the.
Washing of the water of the word. So I'm washing my thoughts. I'm uprooting, I'm replanting, planting. I'm getting truth. And the truth sets you free here on Earth. It did not say, salvation set us free. It said, truth, set us free.
Set you free, too.
Truth has to do with my mind. So I am being saved. And then the Bible says that our bodies. We're going to get a new bottle. Yeah. And the Bible says that while I'm in this earth, that this body's fighting me. Everybody says the devil's fighting them. I can probably prove that that has merit. But as I understand the Bible, after the four Gospels, as Paul starts saying, this is how this life is walked out. My daily struggle is with my flesh, and the flesh is contrary to the Spirit. So now I got God. God has a will. God has a plan. God has a purpose for Ron Carpenter. He is alive on the inside of me, but the flesh is pulling contrary to that every day of my life. And so the flesh has to be overcome and has to be managed.
My flesh likes biscuits and gravy.
You know, biscuits and gravy don't, like, do well on you?
They do.
They do well.
I love biscuits.
Tell them what I do when I hand you some pie, Ron.
We are talking about spiritual.
Tell them what I do when I hand you some pie.
Hand me some pie.
We'll get a place and I'll scoot it over table and you'll say, build.
It, baby, build it.
I do it in the weight room with her. I do it with cake.
He does. He does every restaurant.
We go to the right place, the.
Waitress will come, the waiter don't matter. He'll say, excuse me, ma' am or sir. He said, my wife's been asking me, do y' all have cake?
I mean, they ain't even got water yet. Single restaurant, we ain't even got our water yet. And I'm telling them, my wife wants some cake. But that's how we do it. That's how we do it in the Carpenter house.
How we live.
You kept me all off track. I'm all in this anointing thing. You just get Me down to different. Where was I going with that? Oh, yeah. Three dimensions. I want to leave from that and get back to this once saved, always saved thing.
So you're breaking it down.
I'm trying to. The Bible says.
My flesh. That's how you ended my flesh.
I want to get back. I'm trying to say the son, the prodigal son, he left and he was a son, and he came back and he was a son. His sonship never changed, was never interrupted or contradicted by his behavior. His lifestyle was. Yeah. Him being in fellowship with the father was based on his decisions.
Ooh, wait, wait, whoa. What? Say it again. That is huge.
He was out of fellowship with his father, but he was a son.
So while he was sinning, he was still a son.
Correct.
Listen. But he was out of fellowship because sin separates.
Sin separates.
Sin separates you from your fellowship with your father. But you still have a father.
You still have a father. Or what if he did not have had a father, what was it? What would it have been in sin for him to run back to?
Oh, my goodness, Ron, y'.
All.
Is it. I pray this is helping these people who are listening. I just feel like this is going to set some people free.
It was the sonship, that was the pull that pulled him back.
Yes.
You know, I'm. You know, my father, he kept saying he was down in the pigpen. My father, I still have a father. I have made a mess of my life, but I still got somewhere to go. And he got up and he went. But sonship, he said, let. He said, may I come back as a lesser status? Okay. My behavior has no longer qualified me to be a son. Can I come back now in a lesser role because sin makes you shameful? The father said, nonsense. Go get the ring and put it on his finger. That signature in Hebrew line, there's a signet ring of the family. That was the signature of sonship. If people wanted to identify you in a Hebrew family, they didn't do it by signature. They did it by the family ring. And he said, put the ring and put it on his finger. For my son who was dead is alive. So I had somebody come to it and said, yeah, but he said he was dead. Said he was dead. In other words, he'd lost his salvation. In Bible, death is not the cessation of life. It's separation. My son was separated from me, and now he's back with me. But there was never a time he wasn't a son.
So good.
Never. I need to preach this Don't I need to break it down and preach it? So do I believe that you can lose your salvation? Here it is, guys. No. Do I believe you can renounce it? Yes. It is a volition of will. Losing it is like you can't help it. It can slip up. Somebody can take it from you. You can do something, and you got to start all over again. In fact, when Peter in one night denied Jesus three times and one God, one of the writers of the gospel, said on the third time, he cussed.
Yeah, he swore.
He swore he cussed. Then Jesus. John 21. Early in the morning, Jesus had risen from the dead. Early in the morning, Jesus came, and he was walking on the shore. He went straight to Peter and said, feed my sheep. In other words, he called him friend. In John 15, he called him friend. He talked about being a shepherd to the sheep in John 10 and John 21. So before he did it, after he did it, he called him a friend. He said, you, status has not changed.
He just called him back to his church.
And you still have your ministry. Yep. He restored the relationship. Part of it. But there was never a time you weren't mine. But, you know, it could be, you know, our son Chase, who was on drugs for several years. There were streaks of time, we heard nothing from him.
Right.
We know where he was.
Our relationship wasn't good.
Oh, man. And that's putting it mildly.
But he was still our son.
But there was never a day where he didn't have a house to run to. And there was never a day where he was not going to have a dad who would put the ring of sonship on him. And every time he needed help, I was there. And so we got to understand that sonship doesn't change when you have been born into the family. You can't be unborn.
Right.
You're in that family. Are you in fellowship with that family all the time?
Maybe not.
Maybe not. But you're still a family member. And so when we are born again. Born into what? Born into the family of God, God's new creation and the first fruits of God's kind of creature.
But it just. It makes you not want to be in fellowship. Because that's what sin does. It separates you. And then shame sets in, tells you you're not worthy. You can't go for Christmas. Nobody's gonna approve of what you've been doing in your life.
It's translate to church. I can't worship.
Yeah, I can't worship.
I can't raise my hand. I Know what I did last night? I slipped up again last time. I told God I wasn't gonna do it anymore, and here I have. I've done done it. And, you know, everybody's worshiping God, and I came, but I feel awful. I'm gonna sit in the back. Yeah.
Cause sin does make you feel bad.
Exactly right. But you were a son on your best day, and you're a son on your worst day. What you have to do is restore fellowship, not restore sonship. Sonship never changed.
So good.
Now, for those who have already gone to 1 Corinthians, chapter 6. I know where you're at, and you're reading me the list of things where Paul says, those who practice these things cannot enter the kingdom of heaven. Okay? Cannot enter the kingdom of God. I think it says, uses God. God is the one who owns the kingdom. Heaven is where it comes from. Now, this is very important hope. When you talk about the kingdom of, you're not talking about the place. You're talking about the extension of rule.
Explain that. People, listen.
What did Jesus do? My kingdom come, My will be done on earth as it is in heaven. So when a king extends his rule into a new territory, that's called extending his kingdom. So when John the Baptist is saying, repent, for the kingdom is at hand, that means heaven is once again, since the first time, since Adam is about to break back into the earth. God is extending his rulership back into the earth. He is repossessing that which Adam forfeited. Okay? So now Jesus goes around and talks about the kingdom. When he talks about the kingdom, he's not talking about a place called heaven. He's talking about kingdom we die in. What is the kingdom? It's righteousness, joy and peace in the Holy Ghost. Those who practice these things cannot function in righteousness. Righteousness, joy, and the peace of the Holy Ghost. It did not say they're not saved. It didn't say they're not going to heaven.
Your life might be crooked and sideways and not working right.
I've had someone who was operating in a homosexual lifestyle, and I'm just going to be straight up, wonderful person, loves Jesus, tears in their eyes. They know they're struggling. They know they're struggling. And they said, you know, what if I just give in to the struggle? And what if I just go on with this lifestyle? You know, will God not let me go to heaven? I look back at him and I know people don't believe this. I said, absolutely not. I said, behavior and conduct have no bearing on salvation. It is the gift of God and it's God's victory. I said, however, that is not God's highest lifestyle.
No, it's not his best.
That is not the best that God has for you in this life here on earth and this life in righteousness, joy and peace by the power of the Spirit is available to you and it can be overcome and it can be yours.
Freedom can come.
And so the fact is, man, we're already 25 minutes, almost a half hour in the now I'm going to tell.
You, you're going to rile up some preachers by what you just said.
Oh, I know I am.
We got some men, mean, vicious, judgmental preachers who just called preaching the gospel.
And preach the truth. They don't know the kingdom.
Right.
They don't know the kingdom. And the Bible is a book of behavior and conduct. It's a law book to them. And the Bible says the letter K. But the Spirit giveth life. The kingdom is righteousness, joy and peace in the spirit.
In the spirit.
It gives life. It is a life giving, it is a life giving lifestyle that we embrace that has come from heaven.
Actually the conduct that they're preaching is Phariseeism. That's what killed Jesus.
Whenever you start, whenever you say, you can't do that and go to heaven, whenever you say, if you don't stop this, you'll never get into heaven. I hope I heard that growing up all the time. Oh my gosh, 10,000 times you can't go. Okay, now you've made it. The blood plus something.
Yeah.
And how in the world can Ron do or not do anything that can increase on the blood? Why would you take the blood, the precious blood of Jesus, the son of God, and bring it down to a level of my behavior, just to humanity?
Humanity's behavior.
His blood is no stronger than my behavior.
Yeah.
Then it don't have the power to save anybody if that's the truth.
Right.
And so we've got to understand, folks, and I know preachers don't like it because a law book is a way to control people's conduct. And we want to control the way people act and we want to control the way people behave. But I go back to this. Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. Work out your own. What does that mean? You and God work your journey out together.
That's Philippians 12. Work out your own salvation.
Work out your own salvation, but do.
It with fear and trust. Fear and trembling.
You do it with fear and trembling.
It's not anything goes. Not just. It's not a license to sin. No.
So this is another thing that the.
Sin brings its own consequence.
The kingdom not being the place is a big deal because that changes all those scriptures that they use to hammer people.
Yeah. Saying that you're not going to. When you're not going to make it.
Heaven, you're not going to make it to heaven.
No, it's talking about on earth. You're not going to experience the kingdom.
Of your earth, the righteousness, joy, peace because of sin. Exactly. Right now people say, babe, I don't like legalism and I don't like when they preach do's and don'ts and I don't like rules and I don't like. But what I found out really is we do. We do. Because if somebody will tell me what I'm supposed to do and somebody will just tell me what I'm not supposed to do, then I don't have to worry about being led.
Totally takes the relationship part out.
Exactly. You are to walk in the spirit means this is a step by step. Hope I don't have a. Could you tarry with God One eye. I pray all day.
Right.
I talk to God all day. I talk to God going down highways. I talk to God in the bathroom. I talk to God between putting forks of a salad in my mouth. It is. What should I do? God? God, I've been thinking about this. Lord, I want to thank you for blessing my efforts here. I just got this text. Thank you Lord. I mean it's just all day constant.
It's like me and you.
Do we need times of supplication, extended times with God? Of course we do, but my relationship with God is ongoing.
We don't schedule a time every day that me and you can have our conversation at one o' clock we're having our conversation.
I come in and out of your office, you come in and out of mine.
That's a relationship.
We play and we handle business. We do whatever we have to do. So if I'm just coming and kiss.
Your hands, same way with the Lord.
Come forehead, not walk back out, you know, but another thing is this. We've got to start understanding is start understanding that the Bible is a book of keys, not a book of law, not a book of conduct and code. It's a book of keys. So if there is a behavior that Paul is writing about, it is to unlock something in heaven, not to get you to heaven one day.
That's so good.
Okay.
That's to unlock Something here on earth for your life of freedom aspect.
So if there's a conduct or behavioral thing that is addressed, it is doing so because it is a kingdom key that unlocks heaven here on the Earth. It is not your salvation. It's not you getting there. It's bringing heaven here. So peace he shall keep in perfect.
Peace whose mind is stayed on those.
Whose mind is stayed on him. Well, I got to keep my. I got to keep my mind on God all day or I'm not going to make it in heaven. No, no, you got to keep your mind on him because that's where your peace comes from. Your peace comes in focus. Your peace comes in attention. And for one who's focused and has their attention on him, the waves can be bouncing everywhere, but it does not do anything to your inner, to you.
Being sending in because of that key.
Exactly right.
You've operated and accessed that key and.
You'Ve opened up heaven's peace here on earth. You see what I'm talking about? If you bring the tithe. I have heard preachers say, you don't tithe, you're going to hell.
And I'm like, no, what? What, what? You're not going to hell, but you might have hell on earth.
Now listen.
Might have struggled to pay your bills on earth.
Am I going to hell? No. But will the windows of heaven be opened? Will I walk under the blessing of God that causes me to be fruitful, multiply, fill the earth, have dominion and subdue?
It's not good.
No. That part of heaven has been shut to me. Why? Because I give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven. Whatever you bind, I'll bind. Whatever you loose, I loose. So in other words, you're saved because you're saved. He told Nicodemus, no one can enter the kingdom unless he be born again. So the fact that you've been born again now gives you entrance into heaven on earth. Now you want to tithe, open that window. You don't want to tithe.
The thing I've learned over the years of serving Jesus is he's an if, then God, he's a covenant. He cut covenant with us and said, if you do this, then I'll do that.
The keys of the kingdom I'll bind. You lose. In other words, if you release it, I'll release it.
Yeah.
If you withhold it, I'll withhold it. That's what God is saying. He said, I give you the power. I can't believe how much we're still praying about things that we have the key to.
Yeah, I love this. It is my will that you prosper.
And be in help.
And be in help even as your soul prospers. Not to the degree of your salvation or your work, but it's as your soul. It's your mindset.
I said Sunday, baby doll, during the offering on West Coast. I said, there are two parts to the gospel. There's the Gospel of Jesus, the man. Then there's the gospel of Jesus. His teachings, very important. The man, Jesus prepares you for heaven. The words of Jesus prepare you for earth. Okay. The man is your peace. The words are your prosperity. So he comes and he brings you your peace, and then he enables you and empowers you through the keys of the kingdom to prosper. Not just money, but your whole life to rise. I want my relationships to prosper. I want healthy relationships. Enough bad ones. I want good ones. I want healthy ones. I want my marriage to prosper. I want you to be crazy about me all the days of your life.
I am.
But there are keys to that. Because I could probably turn around and make you resent me and be. Yeah. So I want to know, what are the keys that unlock hope's heart so that I can keep that affection alive in you. All these things are in the Bible and they are keys. So you look at Jesus as my door of salvation, and then the Bible are the keys of the kingdom.
That's so good.
It's not. The Bible is what you do to stay safe, to go to heaven, to stay safe. Yeah. Jesus saved you, but you got to do all this stuff to stay saved. Nobody's going to be there.
Nobody. If that's the case, not one of us. Not even the holiest Instagram preacher screaming holiness.
I'll end on this. Because First Corinthians 7 says, Rid yourself of sins of the flesh and the spirit. And here's what we do. Preachers are great at calling out sins they don't struggle with. We used to be a part of a denomination, and they would put a list. You remember that thing used to tear me up?
No drinking.
It would tear me up. No cheating, no ball games.
No ball games.
I mean, they would just have this list.
No going to movies.
We don't do this anymore. But I went to a general conference one time, and they had these mics out on the floor where when they come up this certain part in their legislation, you can come back and you can debate it. Debate it. And they came to that code of conduct. Well, I didn't win a lot of friends that day. And I got up and I pointed those things out. The Bible says if you break one law in the Old Testament, you break them all.
Break them all.
Okay? So I said, why is it that the only ones you list in your handbook are the ones you don't struggle with? I said, these are all sins of the flesh. These sins are open. These sins are addiction oriented. They're laid bare. You can't hide them. But I said, they're not the most lethal kind. I said, because everybody can see them. I said, the sins of the spirit. I said, they can hide in church, they can hide in pulpits. I said, because they have to do with jealousy and resentment and criticism and pride and judgmentalism. And I said, and I noticed that none of them are listed. And I told him, I said, if we go to list them, list every dang one of them or don't list them at all. Yeah, okay. Well, they certainly didn't vote with me that day.
They didn't like you that day.
But the fact is we have sins of the flesh. We have attitudal sins, which are spiritual, and then we have fleshly sins, which are usually action and behavior oriented. And Jesus knew that ahead of time. He didn't love me after I got cleaned up. He loved me while I was filthy. And we go out here and we try to let our conduct and our behavior talk about how much we love God. And the Bible says, my righteousness is filthy. Filthy. Ooh.
When I'm trying to be the best I can be. Still not good enough.
Because he has clothed me and wrapped me in robes for his righteousness. Because my righteousness is filthy for his righteousness. So I want to let all you know when you want to get people out of heaven on a bad day, God says, you're filthy. On a good day. On a good day, salvation is God's victory.
It's free.
And it is not. To lose it is the gift of God. So no man can boast. Can you renounce it and say, I renounce God. I renounce my Christian faith and I'm going into the Muslim faith and I'm going to. Yes, but that's a will and volitional decision. But lose it. No.
Because of how you act. No.
That makes a mockery of the grace of God.
Scripture does say, if you love me.
You'Ll do what I say.
If you really love me, you'll want to. Do you want to live right? You want to do what I say? You know, if I love you, Ron, I'm not Going to want to hurt you, you know, man, that's messed up. So I love him and I want to do what's right. But do I always do what's right? No. But he still loves me and I'm still saved and I'm still his child every day. That's why mercy's so important. Every day we get a new dose of mercy. Thank God we don't get what we deserve because of mercy.
Well, if this has made you real mad, share it with somebody and let them get mad, too. Subscribe. But you know what? It might.
It might set some people free. I hope it does.
Here's what I want to do. I challenge you, though, not to a debate. I ain't got time to debate anybody. But I challenge you to take these scriptures and look at them from a different perspective. Jesus was not a religious figure. Jesus was a political figure. He was a political figure. He came to bring a kingdom into the earth of righteousness, joy and peace led by the Holy Ghost. Okay. That is what God desires, that I walk in subsequent to me being saved. I have the ability to enter that lifestyle. I have the ability to not enter it. But it has nothing to do with my salvation. It has to do with how much of the blessing of God I will experience while healing. Yeah.
So I'm believing that there's people listening today who say, man, wow, I've never given my life to Jesus because I. I didn't think I could do it. I didn't think I could live up to it. And they said, if this is the.
Case, see, we've created that.
If this is the case, I want to serve Jesus. Ron, won't you lead them in?
I can't tell you how many people I've had. I'm not going to. I'm not going to get saved yet because I don't want to be a hypocrite. And I'm not ready for all that.
Right. No, you got it backwards.
You don't get all your conduct in line to earn it.
Never.
And we as preachers have got to own that. The Bible says a student becomes like his teacher. And we've got to own the fact that we have sent that mindset out there. You get saved and you start figuring all that other stuff out.
Yeah. And just let him wash you. Let him wash you with the Word. The Word will clean you up. Ron, why don't you lead them in the prayer today? If they want to accept Jesus, the.
Prayer goes like this. It says very simply, the Bible says, believe in your heart. Confess with your mouth. So, Lord Jesus, we thank you for your salvation. We believe you are God's son. We believe that you died and rose again on the third day to purchase our salvation.
Yes, you did. Thank you, Lord.
So by your blood, wash me clean, cleanse me of my sins. I ask you to come live in my heart. My Lord and Savior, I accept your precious gift of salvation today in Jesus mighty name.
Amen. It's that easy.
It's that easy.
Now start your journey. Start your journey to become more like Jesus. Loves you so much.
God bless you guys.
