Hoe Marko Bajic na 7 jaar zijn niche ontdekte

Marko Bajic spent seven years finding his niche before launching Christian Creators NL this year. He started making videos in 2018, blew up on TikTok around 2019, and realized his audience wanted personal stories about life, faith, and self-discovery. Now he runs email marketing and paid programs with his wife Anastasia.

Yes.
Marco just said yes. One day I was dead and then Hugo came by and. Yeah, now, now it's going well again.
But Marco Bai, founder of christianreators nl. We want to share some stories with you about what it's like to be visible online.
What helps and what doesn't.
And I'm sitting here with Marco, who has an incredible amount of experience on social media, on all channels.
You see him if you're standing next to him, well, while you're opening the door, he's already filming. And before he even gets in, he's already edited and posted it.
It's not normal. Yes, it's kind of like an illness. Uh, thank you. Thank you.
Yes, yes.
You really are sick. It is. You've also said before that it's a kind of addiction in the sense that it's compulsive.
Can you explain that?
Yes.
When I started making videos in 2018, because a friend of my best friend was doing it, he said to me, go ahead and start doing it too, because I first started recording videos with him and then he said, yeah, you should do it too. Then I thought, wow, I don't want to do that at all. I don't want to record videos at all. That's not for me at all. And yet I spent a year doing it. And finally, at the end of 2019, beginning of 2020, I also started posting on TikTok and it became compulsive because, yeah, with a 15 second story, I could reach something like 60,000 people. And then I thought, oh, then I'm going to repeat the same trick. I kind of became like an acrobat in a. And I did eventually build an audience I hadn't intended to build.
One that's interested in my stories. That part, yes. But also the topic of faith, which is just so sensitive. And I was raised liberally apart from faith in that sense.
Um, and what I mean by that is, yes, people who recognized me on the street, they still started talking about the topic.
And then I said to a friend, I don't want to talk about faith on social media anymore. Hum, hum with that. His name is Spiritual Tiktoker. He said, yeah, you, you're to blame for that. He didn't say it in those words, but in the sense of you. Yeah, you built this up. And then I looked back, why does this topic resonate with me so much? So I caught myself. Apparently I discussed a lot of themes and one of them was faith. And apparently that stuck with people. So now I've categorized my profile I'm Marco. I make videos about life, questions, faith and myself, which allows me to justify it. So if I say I'm on a video assignment, I no longer have to put that on my business profile. I can just say, hey, I make videos. Do you need me?
Yes.
And I always thought, yes, it all has to be completely categorized. So I gave myself three themes that I've seen over the past six, almost six years, that I like to post about.
Yes.
And this has been quite a search for you, because I've known you for about five years now, I think.
Yes.
Hey. That we got in touch.
Well, of course, you went with me to Texel on Wokation, to Egypt on Mastermind vacation. So. Yes, we know each other really well from there too. I've experienced your journey. I know my own journey too, you know, so by doing things, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. And then you look back, ah, that was good. Or hey, that fit. That gave me energy. And then now you can actually say, I found it.
Yes, yes, definitely.
That's really so nice.
Yes.
And also an offer. And also email marketing. I remember that we were on Tesol and that you showed me exactly how it works and that I was so close and I've wanted. I've actually wanted to have something like that ever since I started my business, since 2018, that I could post videos, people come to the page, they get an email and. Yes, and now it is. I now have that right here, thanks to you.
Yes.
Fantastic. How simple can it be? And yet you can't put all those puzzle pieces together.
Yes.
And suddenly you see it and then hup it. Then it all falls into place nicely. And that's what you think. Also very recent. That was just this year with Christian creators that you saw that now everything is really in place.
Yes.
And when I was with you in the Watertron, then I was working on the giveaway, and then you said a. And. And I said A. The Ten Commandments for Instagram. Then you said, why not just the Ten Commandments for Christian creators. So that's what it turned out to be. Yes, that's also very true. Great.
Yes.
Very good.
Yes. Yes.
And. Well, I don't really know what to ask because I kind of know it, of course, but what does it do to your flow and your energy and that you can keep it up. Right. That you just know from now on, I'm good.
Yes, it's useful now, you know.
And not only was it useless before because I didn't have my systems and email markets are truly unique and fun. When you're very quiet, that's fun. When you're very busy and that suits you, that's fun.
Yes, exactly.
Be yourself. Beautiful you, of course, or at least people who don't know you, have had periods where you grew incredibly fast. TikTok, Instagram, YouTube. And then for example, you pulled out the cuttings and started over. You had periods where you just saw like, what's happening? I'm becoming less spread out. What's going on with the algorithm? So you really wondered what's going on a streaming platform. So apparently my videos are being viewed and shared somewhere I know nothing about.
Only after looking at my numbers, I think I got confirmation that you don't know how your videos are being viewed and dissed, which makes it exciting again. But that was also a confirmation of letting it go. You know, the impact will be there and then you can choose.
Yes, yes.
How beautiful.
Wow.
So they're watching on a platform you're not on yourself. Something you don't even know. So. So to speak. No.
Yes.
And there. Wow, that's really beautiful.
Yes, it's nice. Yes.
And. And I also learned that I don't look up to myself. Not so quickly. I'm more of a person who tends to see who I am and what I do is completely normal.
Just thinking that I'm an inspiration, um, that I don't have to think about that at all. Hum hum. What you, what you are, you are Denise, you are Hugo. And people who see that, they inspire you.
Yes.
And maybe, yes, you've inspired me. Again with that term. I am Dennis, because you say I'm Marco and that clearly says ikbenmarco NL about, hey man, I'm just who I am and I share what I have to share. And if you like it or find it interesting, follow it, watch it, and if not, don't.
With that Cohn, his name is Spiritual Tiktoker. He said, yeah, you, you're to blame for that. He didn't say it in those words, but in the sense of you. Yeah, you built this up. And Then I looked back. Why does this topic resonate with me so much? So I caught myself. Apparently I. Then you said, why not just the Ten Commandments for Christian creators? So that's what it turned out to be. Yes, that's also very true. Green. Great.
Yes.
Very good.
Yes. Yes.
And. Well, I don't really know what to ask because I kind of know it, of course, but what does it do? To your flow and your energy and that you can keep it up. Right. That you just know from now on I'm good.
Yes, it's useful now, you know.
And not only was it useless before because I didn't have my systems and email marketing and giveaways and things ready to my offer, wasn't it is that did contribute to the name I've built. It is trust. You know a man named Dirk, about 57 years old and he lives in the Bible Belt. Well, I didn't always share entirely good things about faith or anything. Uh, and strange things too. And. But he's been following me for years and he booked an introduction through my website, ikbenmarco nl. And he says, yes, I don't want to be visible, but I still have to believe in it. And he has several businesses. One is woodworking. Um, what do you offer? And then I said, hey, just go ahead, you get started with woodworking, I'll film you single quote afterwards we'll record the videos because he's not really into visibility, but into faith. And then, uh, I get 12 videos, uh, short videos which I'll schedule for you.
Yes. And yes.
And then he also says, hey you, that one about Christianity too. I find that interesting too.
Yes.
So I've lost some people because of that who think Marco has gone crazy. But many still just see me as Marco and not my label.
Yes, exactly.
Yes.
But also because you've chosen so clearly now you're attracting people who have the same core values and the same, well, desire to be visible and attract clients through videos.
Yes, that's really been the big step I've seen you take this year.
And for example, I want to show you the beautiful work you do together with your wife, Anastasia. Um, I can share this because of course it's being recorded. So Chris. Oh, I'm Mako Nl Christian Creators. Um, nl. Then we have Fitmo, which is our joint company and that's also an instant story. Um, okay. Oh yeah. Oh, he. He continues automatically Sorry, I'm interrupting you.
Yes, yes.
So I'm Marco nl. That's like me. Me dedicating myself solely. And Fitmua NL is videography and makeup artif. That's that. That's at that stadium. And me, the lady and me.
Yes, yes.
We got married last year too. Wait a minute, I'm not typing it correctly. I did type it correctly, but it's not like, oh, okay, it'll come. What I really wanted to show is the work you do for people. For, for example, making videos with Carrie Ann, someone I know very well from total balance. And I have to see how beautiful that looks.
Yes.
Not that it's all about that, but this has been Carrie Anne's struggle for years.
Yes.
Like, yes, I have so much to offer, only I don't have the time or I don't really know how to capture it.
And yes, that's where you come in. How beautiful is that?
Yes.
And I've also learned, okay, my wife, who has ambitions in a different way as a makeup artist, graphic designer, and also a videographer, I learned a lot from her. Also about looking at the detail when filming, or yes, I have so much to offer, only I don't have the time or I don't really know how to capture it.
And yes, that's where you come in. How beautiful is that?
Yes.
And I've also learned, okay, my wife, who has ambitions in a different way as a makeup artist, graphic designer, and also a videographer taking photos, but I can also just have my ambitions that are separate from hers. State. Because suppose I were to just do our company profile.
Yes.
She knows I would then post things that she doesn't think look good, so then it would be a mess again. So I have, you know, it's good that that's separate and that we can also work together. Yes, well, but how great is it anyway that you can work with women? Yes, I learned a lot from her also about looking at the detail when filming or. Right. Yes, it's wonderful.
Yes.
Can you outline how you do a collaboration with Kerryanne, for example?
Not that we all have to buy from Marco right away, but. Yeah, how does that work?
Yes, we meet about once a month.
That means my wife and I drive to her place, creating a very homey, taking photos. But I can also just have my ambitions that are separate from hers. The atmosphere for the videos. And a podcast has been born.
And that podcast is called More of Jesus because Carrie Ann says it's inspiring to talk about him and then almost every episode. And that also arose from praying together and not even trying to establish the best strategy, so, so to speak. But what did she find important? Well, that's what she found important. More of Jesus, less stress. And all sorts of episodes came also state. Because suppose I were to just do our company profile.
Yes.
She knows I would then post things that she doesn't think look good, so then it would be a mess again. So I have, you know, it's good that that's separate and that we can also work together. Yes, well, but how great is it? Anyway, that you can work with women.
Yes.
Sorts of ideas. And because she's good at speaking.
Yes, yes.
With minimal preparation, she can make ten 20 minute videos on a day like that. Uh, ten times 20 minutes.
That's just 200 minutes straight from memory. The Bible was shot at her. Uh, I know.
Yes, yes.
And also, uh, books. I think she's written something like 30 books from memory.
Yes.
More than 30.
Yes.
That's also quite special. So. Yes. Maybe someone else likes gardening then you can like, like use that topic of gardening. So the how doesn't always have to do with, you know, are you a nature speaker or not? But more so you can connect your interests to the things you do. And of course, you're a master at that.
You simply see the story, ask a few questions, and then that person simply speaks from. Well, all the knowledge and experience you already have. You have. So. Right.
Yes.
It's wonderful.
Yes.
Can you. Preparation is simply not necessary. No, I think that's really beautiful. No.
Yes.
Yes.
And now I thought, what should I ask now.
Outline how you do a collaboration with Carrie Anne, for example.
Not that we all have to buy from Marco right away, but. Yeah. Yes, I think it's a really wonderful development to see a with you and I just really wish you a lot of work because it makes such an impact.
And how does that work?
Yes, we meet about once a month. That means my wife and I drive to her place creating a very homey. Of course, I also wish you a lot of followers and a for your faith videos on a TikTok and Instagram and such. But yeah, I just wish you a really, really good life, man. Really, really cool.
You are. Yes, I think you might want to say that. Hmm. Just a good person with good intentions.
Hmm.
Well, yes, that.
Yes, that makes me speechless. That's not the intention with a podcast, of course, or a video like we're making now.
Yes.
But it does have to do with. Look, then I found out through you, you know, and thanks to your webinars and the structure you taught me that you then gave me.
The atmosphere for the videos and a podcast has been born.
And that podcast is called More of Jesus because Carrie Anne says it's inspiring to talk about him and then almost every episode. And that also arose from praying together and not even trying to establish the best strategy, so to speak. But what did she find important? Well, and it's also fun to give and I also managed to earn a good income with it.
But I just wanted to create content and have people visit a Page.
And what's happening now is they're getting free weekly online video support. So someone signs up for free on question Crazy Nl. And I also learned from Henry Kooyman, you have your business and some businesses could do. That's what she found important. More of Jesus, less stress. And all sorts of episodes came also a bit more. Let's say it's a freebie. Let's say it's just calling someone in one more time to help out and other services. Says Henry could do a bit more of the business side. It's nicely explained. Which makes it all fall into place. Like, oh yeah, you're already doing this. I started doing it for free. Like, okay, I'll do part of it for free this year. Next year it'll be paid and sorts of ideas. And because she's good at speaking.
Yes.
With minimal preparation, she can. Suddenly I realized it could stay free maybe even longer. And then from there I organized paid workshops at home, for example.
Exactly. Yes, yes.
Or an in depth, I don't know, mastermind or program.
Yes, yes, yes.
Ten 20 minute videos on a day like that, 10 times 20 minutes. And I did try the webinars. And when I started my business, my first real success was two clients that was out of 20 participants. That was nothing compared to that with now and then.
That's just 200 minutes straight from memory. The Bible was shot at her. Uh, I know.
Yes, yes.
And also, uh, books, I think she's read with you. Of course.
Yes.
What was it, 84% conversion or something? Yes. People started calling each other like, hey, we have this offer. You must be omitted something like 30 books from memory. Yes, more than 30.
Yes.
That's also quite special. So amazing quote. And that's also my point. From the moment you said you're a good person with good intentions.
You have something to give and you often do that for free and you already get appreciation for it. Like you said.
Yes.
On TikTok, I sometimes got a. What do you call that? Money donation. And then you said that's a sign of appreciation. One of the. Yes, you said that in that webinar. And it's not about that, but you also get appreciation from people in your daily life. And if you enjoy doing things, you can already give that. And then you also have to sharpen your business aspects. Hmm. Hmm. She can see it.
Yes.
Well, yes. Maybe someone else likes gardening. Then you can like use that topic of gardening. So the how doesn't always have to do with, you know, are you a nature course? You made that move with Christian Creators where you initially wanted to help everyone capture the story on video, did you now say, but wait a minute, we'll only your speaker or not, but more so you can connect your interests to the things you do. And of course, you're a master at that. You do this group.
Yes.
That suits me. It aligns with my mission and the other one. So when you're in that group, you think, wow, that's the place. That's the place to be. Quote.
You simply see the story, ask a few questions, and then that proof.
Yes, yes.
And from there, I have complete freedom to make an offer.
Yes.
Person simply speaks from, well, all the knowledge and experience you already have. You have so.
Exactly.
Because you have that attention during those free hours where you're simply serving.
Yes, yes.
Great. And it's not mandatory.
So I didn't like always having to think about what I should offer through my content. Hmm. Hmm.
Yes, yes, yes.
Super nice. Really very nice.
Yes, yes.
And now it was breaking down so that two years ago, the last two years, I really tried. Okay. Webinar. Okay. Something to make some money. Okay, I'll teach you, uh, more reach, uh, millions of views. I thought about everything. What does my target audience want? But I hadn't defined the target audience, but I did define what I could do for them.
Yes.
Suddenly, in two weeks, Christian Creators NL was born. Preparation is simply not necessary. No, I think that's really beautiful. No. Y. Yes. Uh, Anastasia said for the first time, and almost for the first time. Oh, not a bad idea.
Yes.
And now, well, normally I come up with an idea right then maybe as an entrepreneur, I thought, what should I ask now?
Yes.
I think it's a really wonderful development to see a with you. Oh, he has another idea. And now she looked at me. Are you sitting at the doorway?
Not a bad idea. And then she also created a logo. I created the page in a day, set it up in two days, and it was up and running within two weeks.
Yes.
Beautiful. And I just really wish you a lot of work because it makes such an impact.
And yes, this is it. Beautiful. Let me just grab the logo.
Yes, beautiful. Yes, yes, yes.
Yes.
This is it. Beautiful. Well, I always keep these interviews to about half an hour.
I think whether you're Christian or not listening to this story, that you've been able to draw a lot of inspiration from it.
If so, please let us know. Of course, I also wish you a lot of followers a for your faith videos on a TikTok and Instagram and such. But yeah, I just wish you a really, really good life, man. Really, really cool.
You are. Yes, I think you might want to say that. Hmm. Just a good person. If you have any questions, let us know.
We're here to help you take the next step. Hey, thanks, Marco. Bro, we didn't even tell you you're from Bosnia, that you were, of course, transported here as a baby by your mother and father, and that you grew up here and occasionally have an identity crisis. Anyway, you should follow Marco because he shares a lot with good intentions.
Personal stories on social media. Super fun. Thanks, Hugo. Thanks, Marco. And viewer. I wish you a nice day and as soon as possible, get started on it. Did I even record it? Absolutely. Yes, absolutely. Unfortunately.
Oh.
