Hi there, I'm Jack Canfield, co creator of the Chicken Soup for the Soul series and co author of the Success How To Get from where youe Are to where youe Want To Be. And as we head into the summer season, I have a challenge for you that will help you develop a game changing habit that completely transform your Life in just 30 days. But first, I want to say congratulations to everyone who has someone in their family who who's graduating from high school, college or university. You know, it's that time of the year again. And having delivered a number of commencement speeches, I always love seeing all of the graduates all dressed up, celebrating the results of all of their hard work and getting ready to embark on the next adventure in their lives. And it got me to thinking about how the completion of one thing in life leads to the next thing to conquer and how life is an ongoing process of transformation. All of us, no matter how old we are or where we're at in our life, always have the opportunity to take on something new, to embark on a new adventure and to evolve to a higher level in our lives. And now is the perfect season to do that. As we head into the summer season, I want to challenge you to engage in a 30 day experiment to make one small change, but significant change in one area of your life. And the idea is simple. Just decide what positive game changing habit you want to add to your life and then commit to one small thing you'll do every day for 30 days in a row to lock in that habit. Now for example, if you want to develop healthier eating habits, your 30 day experiment could be to track your food intake and your calorie intake every day for 30 days. Or maybe just to eat two cups of vegetables every day for 30 days. Or maybe you could give up eating anything that contains processed sugar for 30 days. Or commit to eating one vegan meal a day every day for 30 days. Or let's say you want to create a more positive, achievement oriented, focused mindset. Your 30 day experiment could be to meditate for five minutes every day for 30 days. Or to go on a 30 day news fast. Or maybe you could commit to reading 10 pages of an inspiring book every day for 30 days. Or actually doing your affirmations and visualization exercises every day. If you want to grow your business, your 30 day experiment could be to phone a prospective business partner or a potential client every day to let them know about your products or your services. Or maybe you could commit to reviewing your 12 month growth plan every morning before you dive into work or maybe posting something on Facebook or Instagram or LinkedIn every day for 30 days, no matter what. Now if you want to develop yourself personally, your 30 day experiment could be to focus on learning a new language by completing one lesson a day, say on Babel or Pimsleur or Duolingo or Rosetta Stone. Or perhaps you could commit to practicing guitar every day for 30 minutes or 20 minutes or maybe the piano. See, the choice is up to you. The thing is to pick something that is not overwhelming and commit to a little bit of time every day without missing a single day. Just be sure to identify a 30 day experiment that will take you closer to the big goal you want to achieve, such as reaching an important health goal or growing a skill set you have, or achieving a personal or professional milestone. And then make that daily habit a priority and commit to doing it every single day, no matter what you see. There is huge power in setting a goal for yourself and achieving it. And by spending just a few minutes a day consistently over time, you'll be amazed at how much you can accomplish. And if you want to get even more benefit out of this activity, I want to encourage you to keep a journal and take just a few minutes every day to write about your experiences that you're having developing this new habit. And by tracking your progress and your results, you will solidify your habit and cement your dedication to keeping up with it long after the 30 days are over. Well, that's it for today and thanks for watching. Now what I'd love you to do is to share the habit you plan to cultivate over the next 30 days in the comments below. And remember, research shows that stating your intention publicly actually gives it more power. You're more likely to achieve it. And if you found this video helpful, please make sure you like it.
