Creating a Kick Ass Life with Jack Canfield & David Wood

Jack Canfield and David Wood talk about what makes a life worth living: walking into the unknown without fear, treating it like play, building real friendships, staying healthy, and dropping the masks. Wood argues you have to show up as yourself.
Hi, I'm Jack Canfield from the Inner circle club@jackcampfield.com and I just finished one of the most fun and amazing interesting interviews I've ever done here with David Wood, who is a trainer and a life philosopher. You've got a great podcast that you're doing now called the Kick Ass Life. And that's one of the fun things. We kind of ended the interview talking about the kick ass life. And I wonder if you could just unpack for people. What do you mean by kick ass life?
Yeah, so the kick ass life for me is all about, you know, it's a number of things. If I look at the unknown, A kick ass life is being able to walk fearlessly into the unknown and turn the unknown into a rich, deep, juicy experience. So that's one part adventure. The kick ass life for me is leading a life of adventure, is looking at the world as a playground and choosing and deciding to go play, go play and all different things. I'm sort of pulling myself as a human being, all different areas underwater, above the water, water, you know, and having fun that way. A kick ass life is friends. I believe that an extension of our heart is our home. And our home is very reflective of a heart. And if you have a really open heart, then you have an open door. You know, I believe great parties. I love throwing parties with live bands and I think it's so cool. So I throw three or four big parties a year. So I think the idea of a kick ass, kick ass friends, where, you know, I always say a great friend is someone who walks into my house in the morning, opens my fridge and cooks me breakfast. Kick ass love. Kick ass relationships. As far as intimacy, really being out of discovery, I always think there's got to be someone in the world who has the most amazing relationship with the opposite sex or the same sex, depending on your preference. The idea. But a partner and I always think, what's beyond that? Had a kick ass relationship where as a couple you travel through life in this wonderful journey and discover things that have yet to be tasted. For me, it's in all areas. Kick ass health, Kick ass moments is really being in the moment. So I could go on and on for hours. But kick ass is really about showing up as you are, removing the mask, having an authentic life where on your deathbed, that last second, this is how I want it to look. So I'm laying there on my last breath of air. It's going to look like this. What a rush. So that's the kick ass life for me, that's great.
So if you'd like to have a kick ass life, if you'd like to be more authentic, more real, have more fun, more productivity, create greater achievement in your life and have fun doing it, I think that's really one of the things we talk about so that it's an adventure as well as, you know, a lot of people, one of my friends said, a lot of people, they go through life just trying to get to death without anything bad happening. Not the way you want to live. So if you'd like to see this whole interview and learn a lot that I learned from you today, come to the Inner circle club@jackcampfield.com and look forward to seeing you there.
