Hi, I'm Jack Canfield and today I want to talk to you about tapping therapy and the differences between EFT and the TFT tapping techniques. Welcome to this week's video. You know, if you've ever felt as though your emotions are completely overwhelming you or holding you back from being successful, or if you experience a great deal of fear, anxiety or pain over something that you just can't seem to heal, then tapping may be the non invasive therapy that you need. Tapping provides you with relief and healing with tapping you're stimulating the meridian points of your body, locations where your energy needs to flow freely. Physical and emotional distress can manifest themselves in a variety of ways that can negatively impact your health and well being. And tapping helps to restore the positive flow of energy by restoring the balance that your body needs to self regulate. Now, acupuncture and acupressure, which work with the meridian points in your body, have been used by Eastern doctors and health practitioners for millennia to help alleviate a wide range of illnesses and symptoms, from emotional anxiety to respiratory and gastrointestinal disorders. While some people shy away from acupuncture because of the needles, tapping is another way to tap into the natural healing powers of the body in a much less invasive way than with acupuncture. And there are two different schools and approaches to tapping thought field therapy, often referred to as tft, and the emotional freedom techniques, oftenly referred to as eft, which actually evolved from tft. Now each of these techniques has been shown to effectively help people focus on tuning in to a particular emotion or emotional problem by utilizing some of the same biometrics that are used in acupuncture and acupressure. As I often use EFT in my work with people, I am often asked, what are the differences between the two approaches? Well, here are five key differences between these two tapping methods. First, TFT focuses on a more complex sequence of tapping points, while there are also sequences known as logarithms utilized for both types of tapping. TFT utilizes a more complex group of tapping sequences than EFT does. Each tapping sequence includes tapping on specific acupuncture points called acupoints, as you focus your attention on a specific emotion or emotional challenge. And both EFT and TFT tapping utilize similar points for tapping, but the sequences that are used often differ between the two techniques. Next, EFT has you verbalize your fear out loud. Now With EFT tapping, you literally verbalize the fear that you're feeling in a variety of ways as you go through your tapping sequence, and this repetition helps dissipate the fear, leaving behind a feeling of peace and confidence as well as the ability to release the strength of the emotion. You are stating the fear as you're tapping firmly five to seven times over each acupoint in a way that helps ensure you stay focused on the emotion now. Third, EFT has a wide variety of practical applications. EFT is perhaps more widely used due to the confidence that is quickly built from using these simple techniques instead of spending time and energy pursuing medical relief and emotional and physical distress. Tapping is a form of easily applied self care that can be used at any time and any place. You know, I've seen people using EFT tapping in airports before a flight, in school before a test, before giving a report, or in the theater before performing, and even in business before making a sales presentation or in sports before a game and so on. Now with TFT tapping, you're targeting a range of issues instead of a specific issue or problem as you begin your tapping therapy. And TFT requires a skilled TFT facilitator to walk you through the method to determine the applicable category for your tapping therapy. Fourth, EFT is simpler and more forgiving to do with TFT tapping. There are specific cycles that you need to complete the based on the type of phobia or physical ailment that you're attempting to treat. This can be a bit more confusing and troublesome as you're getting started, which leads most people to the simpler and more forgiving methods involved in EFT tapping. For instance, with TFT tapping you might have one sequence that you follow for anger and a different tapping sequence that is used for disappointment or confusion. With eft, it's the same tapping sequence for everything. Now. Finally, EFT is more widespread than TFT due to its simplicity. It's no surprise that there are more people pursuing EFT tapping therapy than TFT therapy. And the ability to learn the simple techniques and vocalizations that go along with EFT allows people to begin experiencing immediate relief whenever they want or need it instead of needing to wait to work with a qualified TFT therapist. EFT is also remarkably versatile and effective, allowing individuals to conquer deep seated fears or other emotional distress, relieve and even free fully disappear pain, as well as promoting physical healing. It can even be used to release limiting beliefs, which I use it a lot for in my work now, there are still many similarities between EFT and TFT Tapping therapy. In both methods, you're asked to rate the intensity of your feeling about a particular event or emotion on a scale of 0 to 10, and then after each round of tapping, you then re evaluate the level of the intensity of your anxiety, your fear, your negative emotion or limiting belief or physical pain or ailment. Now tapping sequences are often cycled through until the intensity of the event has dropped significantly, preferably down to two or below. Now, EFT and TFT both use the same general acupressure points, and both are aimed at removing any impediments to the smooth flow of energy throughout the body. I hope this clears up some of the differences between the two approaches. Now, as always, I'd like to hear your thoughts after watching this video.
