A short promotional monologue by Jack Canfield arguing that his book and 30-Day Sobriety method can produce rapid, lasting sobriety. The speaker claims the method has been tested with clients and with readers, uses analogies (e.g., Roger Bannister and technological breakthroughs) to challenge beliefs about what is possible, and ends with a direct call-to-action to get and use the book.

You know, one of the interesting things about this book is that so many people have struggled with their addiction to alcohol. And the reality is they say, well, it's not possible to actually become sober in 30 days and actually maintain that over time. And the truth is, it is possible. And we've been doing it now with clients for a number of years. And now we've been doing it just with a book alone, because we've tested this with a lot of people. And you know, a lot of times people say, well, it's just not possible. You may remember back there was a time when everyone said it was impossible to run the mile under four minutes. Nobody believed it was possible, and so it just never happened. And then one year Roger bannister broke the four minute mile, and then the next year 12 people did it. And now it's likely if you go to a major international track meet, all the people finish the mile under four minutes. And so it's just become standard. It's become the new what's possible. And so I want you to think about this. As you're listening to this, you're going, well, I don't believe a book can do that. I promise you, a book can do that. Just like we never thought we'd have flights to the moon, we never thought we would have cell phones where we could talk to people in Singapore without wires. We have all that now because we've made major, major, major technological breakthroughs and we're at a time in history now where we're making major psychological breakthroughs that allow these kinds of radical transformations to happen very quickly if you know what you're doing. So get a copy of the book and use what's in there, because it does work and we do know what we're doing. And you're going to find that you'll be one of those four minute milers when it comes to your sobriety.
