Hi there, I'm Jack Canfield, co creator of the Chicken Soup for the Soul series and the author of the Success Principles. And today I'd like to ask you, what's your halftime plan? Because believe it or not, we're almost halfway through the year, which means now is the perfect time to take stock of what you've experienced and achieved so far this year, where you are right now, and where you want to be by the end of the year. In a football game, halftime is when the team retreats to the locker room to regroup, recharge, and review their performance to ascertain what has been working, where they need to improve, and what they need to do next to win the game. And that's exactly what I recommend you do as well. Sometime in the next few days. First, take the time to review everything you've accomplished and experienced since the beginning of the year, and I guarantee that it's more than you think. I encourage you to take stock of everything you've done and the results you've created and what you have learned from each experience. And as you go through this process, be sure to pay close attention to the feedback the universe has been giving you on your actions. Where have things been going well for you? Where have things been easy, and where have you been running into obstacles and difficulties? What areas seem to be causing you the most problems, and what steps can you take to resolve those problems? I want you also to think about the feedback you've been receiving from the people in your life, both in your work and in your personal life. What positive feedback have they been giving you? Where has the feedback not been so great, and what lessons can you draw from that? And the more open and honest you are with yourself, the more you will get out of this exercise. And make sure not to shy away from any critical feedback you might have received that is also valuable information that will help you grow. And then, once you've completed your review of your gameplay so far this year, go back to the goals you set for yourself in January and clarify your vision and commitment to everything you want to achieve before the clock hits midnight on December 31. What were the big breakthrough goals you wanted to achieve in the seven different areas of your life by the end of the year? Remember, financial, professional, relationships, health and fitness, fun and recreation, but personal, which includes both personal growth and spiritual growth and any new possessions you want to own, and finally, the area of contribution. So take some time to check in with yourself and confirm whether these goals are still things you want to accomplish in the next six months. And if so, ask yourself if you're still on course to achieve them within the desired time frame and if not, what steps can you take to get back on track? What new disciplines do you need to put into place? Do you need to put new systems in place? Who do you need to ask for help or for guidance? Do you need to work with a mentor or a coach? Do you need a mastermind group or an accountability partner to hold you accountable and keep you on track? And if so, when will you ask them? By give yourself a deadline and then commit to it. And by taking the time now to clarify your vision and re clarify it, review what you need to do to make it happen. You will set yourself up for success in the months to come. And then once you've completed your halftime plan, I encourage you to celebrate. Because in football, the halftime show is also a key part of the game. You need to take a break from all the action and celebrate everything you've done up until this point. This will help you recharge your batteries and reconnect with your joy, and it will give you the motivation and the momentum you need to hit the field running and score some incredible touchdowns by the end of the year. All right, well, that's the message for today. I want to thank you for watching. And now what I'd love for you to do is share one small action you'll take today to celebrate everything you've accomplished and recommit to the big goals you set for yourself this year. And remember, when you make your actions public, you make your intentions public. You say what you're going to do, let people know you give them power, and also be sure to post any thoughts or questions you might have in the comments below.
