Your "Inner Doubter" Might Just Need to be Heard...

Marcia Wieder, CEO of Dream University, suggests interviewing your inner doubter to separate limiting beliefs from real obstacles. Write your dream in detail, ask what could go wrong, then convert those concerns into concrete strategies.

Hi, I'm Jack Canfield from the Inner circle club@jackcampfield.com I just finished an amazingly educational and enlightening interview with Marcia Weider, who is the CEO of Dream University. And now you're the head of a project called A Million Dream Campaign, which is very interesting. And we talked about something I thought was really interesting. You have a new take on doubt and self doubt and the critic that comes up when you have an idea. And I thought that was so powerful and so valuable. I'd like you to share that with our viewers here.
Sure. The doubter is not the enemy. It's part of us. So the idea is to really get into a more conscious relationship with it. So as you say yes to your dreams, often what will also come up are your doubts. I'm too old. I'm too young. I don't have the time. I don't have the money. And what most of us do is we compromise our dreams down to what we realistically believe is possible. Possible. And with it we squelch the passion. So instead, what I encourage you to do is write out your dream in as much detail as possible that will flesh out the doubter. Listen to the doubter interview the doubter. Don't make it wrong. Don't try to fix it. Just capture what it does best. It gives you your list of obstacles.
So write it down.
We should capture it exactly. So the doubter says you can't have your dream because. And it will give you a list and just bullet point them and then go back in. Because every single obstacle is either a limiting belief, something that you believe about yourself, your dream or life, or something that requires a strategy or a plan. Left unattended to the doubt or voice can get louder and then that's all you hear and you get immobilized. Or it can get quieter and then it can unconsciously sabotage your dreams. We don't want that to happen.
And you shared very clearly about how to deal with the things that come down from that list from the doubter and, and how that turns into strategies of things you need to actually deal with and attend to in order to make the dream come true. So if you'd like to learn more about how to do that and not let your doubter and your inner critic and your fears and your limiting beliefs stop you come to the Inner circle club@jackcampfield.com and watch the entire interview with Marcia and myself. And I think you're going to find it's well worth your time because it'll help you make your life the dream life that you've thought about but perhaps haven't actually created yet. So we want to help you do that. So come to the Inner circle club@jackcampfield.com. look forward to seeing you there.
