If you really wanted to get hired as a designer in a very short span of time, there is a very good process, guys, which is called power of asking questions. You need to understand this process. A lot of people take it very seriously. In this podcast, I'm going to exactly tell you how you can ask very quality questions in order to get you hired. Take a lot of notes. Let's jump into this podcast. The very first question what I'll ask you, what I'll tell you to ask in the interview is ask them about their name and what are their designation and what are the company about. Okay, if you have already done that research, well, you can able to reconfirm with them, but ask them what's your name? So what designation you're rightly working. I've heard that you're from a technical team, but what's your exact designation? Oh, thank you so much, sir. Nice meeting you. So you have to ask questions about the introduction, what they really think of what they are really. Okay. Based on the introduction, you can get more clarity on how you can strategize your pitch in a way. The second important question, what you have to ask about company is when you are given a chance, like let's say many times interviews, ask this question. You have any questions for them? Lot of people miss this opportunity. Let me tell you guys, if you miss this opportunity, you won't be able to penetrate the chance. That's the exact reason why I'm recording this podcast. The second important question, what you can ask is ask them about the training and support system. See, don't just ask salary, salary, salary. Okay, ask them about training and support system. The third important question, what you can ask is ask them about the growth in the last two years because it's a very good measure for you to really think about whether that company is suitable or not. You're asking questions in order to make sure that company is suitable for you or not. Guys, before making a car, before buying a car or before buying a bike, how much questions we ask the showroom guy? Why are we not applying that same knowledge in design? In design interviews? Because you're going to work in the company for the rest of your life, or maybe five, six years. You spend most of your time in office rather than in home. So you choose an organization very carefully. How do you really do by asking right questions? Okay, that's the third important question, the growth in the last two years. Okay, the fourth important question is what is the scope for the next three years down the line and what kind Of a projects, are we having like let's say is it a UI project or is it a UX projects or is it a product design projects or is it a different project? Are we really getting in a pipeline? So you need to just ask them in a clear way. Okay, the fifth important question what you can ask is what is the kind of work life balance, what they have in the organization and what is the organization taking initiative to in order to maintain that balance? Are there any games, are there any activities, are there any engagement? Are there any team outings? Are there any specific work timings? Are there a Saturday, Sunday holiday? So it's very important to really know that. Don't think like they will have a different perception when you ask these questions. First throw that thought away. The moment you ask lot of questions, people really like you. It's not in a rude way, a very polite, understanding, very empathetic way. It's very important guys, because the way in which you ask these questions will convey a different meaning if you ask like, okay, can you tell me what you did in the last two years? This is not a way to ask. Instead you can ask, hi sir, I've really heard a lot about this company in the past two, three years. Okay. I've been reading some articles and I've talked to some of your designers. But what exactly happened in these two years? What is the growth like? Are you, I mean, have you seen in this? Sir, I would like to really know that. See, the meaning is same, but the way in which I asked is different. So you need to be very polite. Use this example for all the questions. Okay, the sixth important questions what you can ask is who will be the manager and what will be the team which I'll be working on. It's very good to ask this question, guys. Okay? In fact, you can ask the location where you're working, the team, the manager, the exact role, what you will be working. And you need to be very specific on that. If you're able to get this guys, you know what? You'll have a more understanding whether to choose that option or not. The seventh important question, what you can ask is in a typical day, what kind of a work roles and responsibilities you will be working on. And you need to say this like, sir, I'm ready to go overboard or do extra work or something. No problem. But I would like to know what is the typical day I would be spending here. So that is the kind of question what can really trigger the interest in you guys? We are not asking questions to really Examine also we are asking questions in order to make them sure that you are very interested and serious for this job proposition, for this job application. You know what, if you really ask this six, seven questions till what I asked told you now 100% you are hired guys. 100% you are hired even if you don't have technical skills, even if you don't have interview skills, even if you don't have portfolio, even if you don't have resume or anything. Okay? I'm telling you because that's the power of asking questions. In fact I've helped student get salary negotiator done by asking right questions. So it's possible it has done it. I mean it has worked already. You need to just get the clarity. Okay? And the eighth important question you can ask for a recruiter is what keeps you really sticking in this organization for a long time? Sir, what's your big motivation? What you really liked about this company? Because I've heard a lot of things in the LinkedIn and other employees and other places. But I would like to know from you as a recruiter, when you ask this question, they will be really shocked. So you need to have a neck to ask it. If your interview is in a very rushed manner, don't try to ask this kind of questions. Just keep forward and move on with the seven questions. But if you really have some time, ask what's your motivation to stick here? And you know what people sometimes will ask you, why do you want to know this Jagdish? Sir, I really wanted to get inspired because I have found so much reasons to work with you. But I'm still looking for your answer because you are the recruitment partner. You are the recruitment person here. You're going to hire me inside. So just tell me. I wanted to really hear from you because I believe work and life both really happens in a very holistic way. It's not like only I get paid or some some project is there I'm working here. This, that it needs to all being overall well being about a collective community, what we have because that community will going to help and strengthen you as an employee over a long part of time. Without a team, without the trust, you can't really work in a long span of time, guys. Okay? That's why it's important to ask this question. And the ninth important question what you can ask is can you just share the sal and the components and the extra perks and benefits and the relocation bonuses or whatever for me please? Never, Never. Students ask this kind of questions, guys. They ask for salary hike this that ask for components of the salary. Ask for the exact relocation bonuses. Ask for the exact perks and benefits. Ask for the bonuses in a year, how much they give every detail you need to ask guys. Ask them to send an email and confirm it. Okay, very important question. Salary the 10th and the last important question, it's going to really get you hired and you will also know the result guys, when you ask this question, you know what is that? When am I really joining this company? Let me repeat you when I'm going to really join this company if you ask this question. If they say you'll be joining next week, you're selected. If they really think will get back to you, probably results a little bad. So let me repeat you this question guys. Okay? Ask their name and designation and all these things are the first thing. Second is ask about the training and support system. Third is ask them about the growth in the past years. Fourth, ask them three years down the line what kind of a projects they have pipelined and lined up. Fifth is ask about a work life balance. Sixth is ask about your which team and the manager and the location which you'll be working on. Ask them a typical day of the role and responsibility, what you'll be paying, what you'll be playing as a role. 8th is ask them what is their motivation to stick to this organization. Ninth is ask about the salary details. Tenth is ask them when I will be joining. If you're able to ask these questions guys, I'm telling you your interview is going to be a piece of cake.
