A product designer walks through ten AI tools that speed up research, ideation, prototyping, and everyday work. The speaker covers how AI adoption is reshaping design and why staying current with these tools matters for your career.
We all definitely know that AI is changing entire industries. Not just a product design, not just what you call any other engineering design or programming, software, marketing, finance, sales. It's disrupting the entire world in its own way. How do you really ride this trend? In fact, this is a wrong way of putting it. You don't have to write the trend, you can create a trend if you understand what's happening. And this podcast is going to give you why AI is really influencing a lot in product design and how you can learn the top 10 tools, which is my suggestion. In a product design lifecycle management, you can take it and make 10x or even 100x productivity faster. Let it be research, ideation, prototype testing, brainstorming, anything. Guys. Okay, so take a lot of notes. This podcast is going to be a very educative and also if you take action towards whatever tools I'm suggesting you and the action points, you will see a phenomenal results in the next one week to 10 days itself. Because these tools are exceptional. I mean it, it's 100x productive. In earlier podcast also I've recorded 30 tools for product designers and UI UX designers. That's okay, but this is specifically for AI. Okay? You need to understand that generative power of how this machine learning algorithm is creating and shaping the entire future of product design. Okay, let's jump into this topic. Foreign for change. Thank you for staying tuning in with me. Guys, can I tell you guys before 2030, okay. Global AI market is expected to reach the value of US$300 billion. Okay. It's a compounded annual growth rate of 40 percentage from just 2022 to 2030. So what is this really telling you guys? See, don't believe people don't believe what you call information. You see it in Google or even whatever I say also or anybody says, always believe in numbers and data. A very proven track record. Data. It's not like random data because numbers won't lie. Statistics and data will not lie. The growth is driven by increased adoption of all industries of AI. Guys. It's like every industry, damn industry is using this AI technology to have their powered solution for that. In the past three years, AI have really made a significant improvement. A survey by Gartner shows that percentage of Enterprises Deploying this AI technologies has been tripled since 2018. Particularly in the last five years, 37% of the organization implemented AI in some form by 2020. So it is phenomenal. The trend indicates a very, very rapid growth, guys. And that's why in manufacturing, in retail, in Design and transportation in sales, marketing, law. Every place government is also using. In fact in the Indian government there is a department called AI which helps in developing this technology and educating the people and also welcoming lot of industries for startup, etc. And also venture capitalist in AI startups has been steadily rising. It shows that from 2019 to 2021 global AI startup funding increased by over 50 percentage reaching its total investment value of US$65 billion. This is a huge impact and the influx in the capital has fueled the development of this groundbreaking AI technologies and the expansion of the ecosystem of these products as well. Okay, so lot of things are happening guys, we need to understand this numbers and stats, okay? It's not like AI will happen and then I will take care when it comes to my plate and I don't have to worry. It's already taken a lot of the jobs guys if you're not aware of that, okay, so the way in which it is revolutionizing, the only way to understand, the only way to take control of this is to understand what's happening and how you can able to learn and recreate that. Okay? I don't know whether AI will replace you, but I'll tell you, whoever knows how to operate AI will definitely replace you. I repeat this, I don't know AI will replace, but whoever knows the AI tools can replace you. Okay? So please be aware and conscious of this. Let it be in the product design process or anything. Okay, so now I'll be telling you 10 different AI tools, guys, okay? Which you can learn, particularly if you're doing product design research. You can use Monkey Learn, okay? You can use a tool called Survey Monkey and you can use a tool called Typeform. So these are all the tools where you can send some surveillance, where you can do some research. Primary information collection of data. These are all beautiful AI enabled tools. And second, let's say if you're doing ideation, you're doing brainstorming. Miro is one of the beautiful tools. Miro and invision. You can use these two tools. It's a beautiful tool. Free versions are available. You can able to try it out. The third important process is creative brainstorming. Let us say ideos creative differences. If you go and Google it out and search out, there is a thing called ideo Creative difference login page will come. You can use that generative AI tool in order to create huge ideas in a very short span of time. That's why it's a brainstorming tool. Prototyping fourth important thing, the fourth important Tool is you can use Figma. Figma is a beautiful tool where you can do a prototyping in a much faster way. Balsamiq and the fifth is wireframing. You can do wireframing in Figma and Adobe XD also, but wireframes, I mean I like it in terms of Adobe XD because the user interface is much faster, simpler and majority of the industries use Adobe XD because it's a premium ware and it has a licensed one, it's protected in the cloud. But Figma, it's like every industry uses it, startup, MSMEs, everything. So Adobe is industry standard tool. If you're using mock ups, if you're doing mock ups, if you wanted to really make a good impact, you can use a tool called Sketch. See all of these tools has an AI enabled feature. Okay, Miro also has a AI enabled feature. Adobe XT also has AI enabled feature. Figma also has AI enabled feature called figjam. So lot of things can be done. If you're doing 3D modeling, you can use a tool called Blender. Blender has a lot of AI enabled feature and in fact you can able to create a lot of visual things. And if you're doing any kind of renders, particularly if it comes to creating pictures renders, you can use Adobe Creative Cloud, you can use Adobe Suite and lot of tools like let's say Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, everything has AI enabled feature. Okay? So what happens is it enables you to really do lot of processing on the back of your projects. You don't have to worry about these things. Let's say if in your old imaging, whatever you're doing, you want to really pixel correct it quickly, you can able to find that using AI search or tools. In fact there are many image recognition softwares and there are many tools in terms of like let's say mid journey. So these kind of AI machine learning softwares are programmed in a way to analyze your image in a very instance and a faster way you can even generate some images. If you wanted to create renders, you can use a tool called MidJourney. So these are all the things. And you can use another tool called Nvidia Omniverse. So these are all the best tools for rendering. Guys, when it comes to productivity, I would highly, highly suggest you can use Trello. There are some beautiful AI enabled features and you can build it. Let's say if you wanted to understand emerging technologies, you can use a tool called Runway ML. This is another tool. And if you are building a website I would suggest you can use a tool called Wix website. Wix Wix has a beautiful AI enabled feature. It's beautiful in terms of building your website in minutes, you can able to create templates in hours, you can able to launch your projects and send it to the recruiters for job recruitment. In my program I teach students to create website in just one to one and half hours. Live with me. Okay? A lot of students do it live and after this one and a half hours we used to send directly for recruiters for job placements. So the thing is, it's not a big deal guys. You don't have to wait for three years to really apply for job making. Some portfolio projects trend has changed two years before how you viewed a product design. It's not that, okay, even you might have five years, 10 years experience. But if you're not constantly evolving and learning what's happening, definitely you will be replaced for sure. And you won't even know that you're getting replaced. That's the point. Your entire vertical will be thrown out and you may be thinking it's because of office politics and somebody has taken it. And yeah, this industry is like this always. Don't blame yourself, don't blame others guys, okay? Understand what is the reality the verticals are getting replaced means you need to understand the power of the generative AI technology. And automated testing software has come, automated process building software has come, automation software like Pably Zapier. These are all replacing hundreds and hundreds of people in a bunch way. So don't blame anybody, blame yourself. To learn all these things and get updated. If you want to really learn these things in a very faster way and if you want to really build your projects and launch it in a portfolio in less than a span of one or two hours, I would highly, highly recommend you, you come inside my program to experience the power of generative AI and implement it in your product design and make it possible to become 10x, 20x, even 50x or 100x faster. Guys, if you know how to use ChatGPT, if you know how to use bad AI, if you know how to use Google Search, if you know how to use Google Trends, if you know how to use a software called BuzzSumo, these are all the softwares which will help you do a lot of qualitative research in a very short span of time. You can even collect huge amount of data like let's say 600, 700 pages of data in just a span of 10 to 20 minutes. If you know how to use These tools telling that, hey, I have a chat GPT or bard is not really good, guys. Knowing how to use that, knowing how to specifically give a prompt in order to create a very good product design research output in a very less span of time, you won't believe. Recently I did one project. I've generated close to 105 questions using just two or three different prompts. And I've trained the machine in that way so that I got a very qualitative input output. Even if I sit and dwell for three days, I won't be able to get that kind of a quality of questions. So leverage the power of AI guys. Okay, if you're in your office environment, you can use a tool called Copilot. Okay, Every Microsoft tool, if you're using in your office, mostly Microsoft, will be a tool you'll be using, right? So you can able to enable that copilot and start using it. Okay? Try it out. Keep it in a very balanced way. There are three options in Copilot. You can use it creative, balanced and more precise. You can try a balanced or creative way and you can just play with it. Get a hang of their tools. See, no tool is difficult, guys. One or two days. If you spend in your weekends on each of the every tools in 10 weeks you'll be able to master 10 tools. You know what? You'll be hundred X productive than any of your employees, guys. So understand this fact. Okay? Thank you so much guys for this podcast. Give me a best star rating if you find this useful in Spotify, Apple. Take care. Bye bye. All the best.
