UX isn't just for apps and websites. It applies to physical products and intangible experiences too. Learn how to measure UX across any design field and why a user-centric mindset matters for your career.
A lot of people have this confusion whether UX design can be applicable to physical products as well. Okay, in this podcast you're going to get it clarified. Guys, let me tell you first, the UX stands for user experience, okay? I think a lot of people would have got a understanding or mismanagement or any, any other different terminologies you would have understood or misunderstood. It's okay. UX means user experience. Okay? So don't ask me why the E is not there instead of this X. So that's fine. Okay, so physical products, digital products. Let's say if you're using a website that is a digital product. Let's say if you're using a chair which is a physical product. Let's say if you're going into a music, let's say museum and you're experiencing some experience there. Let's say if you're going for a amusement park and then you're having some experience there. Let's say if you're going for a waterfalls and then you're having a bath there. All of these things is a different, different situation, right guys? Maybe you would have traveled in a car, maybe that car you would have cruised at 200 kilometers per hour. Maybe you would have driving a BMW 7 Series, latest so which runs at 200 kilometers per hour. So there are six different instances. I've told you. Let's say a product manufacturer or a product designer. How does somebody really understand whether the customer is really liking the product or not? How will they do? Okay, one way could be they will go and ask questions. Second is they can observe. Third is they can get a feedback this, that. But unless until if some metrication is not there, you cannot really calculate how experience the people are going through. Okay, so now you would have understood. User experience is not just for digital products, it's for everything. It's not only for physical products, it's for digital products. It's for tangible, intangible. Let's say if you're going for a museum, the experience. Let's say if you're driving a car, what are the experience? Let's say if you're going for a like let's say if you're going for a vacation, how's the experience? So everything is based on the experience. Okay, Please understand guys. See, there are a lot many ways to really substantiate it. You can do a user research, you can do testing, you can do a prototyping and then you can find out and get a feedback. You can find out an accessibility design and Then you can make it accessible for individuals in different populations and then you can get a feedback. You can consider in terms of aesthetics, you can consider in terms of physical ergonomics, documentation, instruction, clarity and information. Everything could be parametered and kept as a metric. To calculate this ux, let's say if your product is very clear and superb, you're asking how better our applications are able to clearly make a payment rate as out of 1 to 10, if that is really superb, you will rate 9 or 10. If it is worst, you will rate 3 or 4. Right? See, so then the user will get a feedback. Then the designer will get a feedback. Okay, user is telling three or four. That means he didn't like something. What is that? Okay, in this feature, hidden like something. Okay, what is that? See the moment when a metrication or a numbers comes, it would be much easier for a designer to really understand. That's why user experience is a metrication parameter and it's for everything. Guys, the way in which you are listening to this podcast, the way in which you opened a mobile, like let's say some notification would have come. Like let's say you would have debited with some money, you would be in a frustration. So with that frustration, if you're opening an app and then you're listening. So that's a bad expression, that's a bad experience. Like let's say if you got a salary, you get like 2 lakh per month salary and then your your message is credited and then you're going out with your family. So that's a great experience you will get. So everything has an experience. The way in which the message falls in your inbox, the sound, the pop up notification, the radius corner of the notification, everything really matters guys, okay? User experience is a part of life. Every aspect of our life could be understood using the user experience view. If you are a designer, please develop this attitude and mindset towards seeing and tuning towards this aesthetic, okay? I hope you have understood the clarity why UX design is for everything, okay? Even if you're a game designer, textile designer, ceramic designer, exhibition designer, toy designer, digital designer, retail designer, strategic designer, transportation designer, industrial designer, product designer, you name any design guys, okay? Experience matters. So you want to really go deep into it. I would highly, highly suggest you can come into my program because I majorly focus on user experience, okay? Because if you are able to clarify your user experience in a detailed way, rest of the things in the design process will easily fall. Guys, you know what? The average UX experience, average UX designer pay scale is very higher than a normal designer. In fact, the average UX researchers pay scale is even more higher than the normal UX designer. So the most specific if you are able to metricate and and more research you are able to do and more user experience parameter you could see in your product and service, your value will be high. Your way in which you deal a project will be really mature. The company will give you more projects, they'll give you more projects, they'll give you more promotion, they'll give you more money if you make a jump. Also they'll give you 2x3x. So you will become a great designer in your field. Okay, thank you so much guys. I think you would have got this perspective clear. Give me a best star rating if you find this useful in Spotify and Apple. We'll see you in another episode. Take care guys.
