In this podcast I'm going to tell you there are four different type of nature people and how you can able to design for these needs. In fact, if you are able to understand this, the variety of audience you can able to cover through your products and service. Take a lot of notes. Let's jump in. Welcome to this Design for Change. Thank you for staying tuning in with me. Guys, we have an amazing topic. You know what? People don't really go into this level of detail to understand what is the yin and yang of this particular product design. Product design industry is very different. Let's say digital apps or let's say physical products or anything. See, we are designing for people. End of the day people have people, okay? You need to understand their ups and downs. You need to understand their psychology. We need to understand we are also part of people, right? So you know, have you ever wondered in relationship, if you observe closely the people who are getting into relationship, their life will go smoothly only if they are matching the pair of opposite. Okay. In and angle of the life. Let me give you an example. Okay. See there are people who are very overproductive and they always tend to attract with the people who are over bullying. Okay. Or the vice versa over bullying people tend to find people who are overproductive and over supporters are normally attached to people who are challengers. Okay? Right. So over pricing people like let's say the self price and all these things. These people find people who are criticizers, people who are over criticizers. They find people who can support them or who is rescuer. So have you ever wondered this kind of opposite really works? So like let's say how do you really understand this detail and design for these people? Like let's say. See the concept from the realm of relationship into the world of product design is definitely difficult to understand. But if you pay close attention, you can able to get it. I'll give you some examples. Also imagine a child having a toy. Okay? So like let's say initially that will be over cautious at first glance. Let's say if it provides a clear instruction safety features which is like a overprotection perfect for an anger children. But weight like let's say people let the kids grow. The same toy could have a hidden feature or advanced modes that can unlock a child progress over challenges, right? So encouraging the exploration and growth in a very safer environment. So when you're designing a toy, like let's say when you're designing app or application or any physical product for a kid, this could be understood in A detailed way. See how I'm able to relate it to the product design. See guys, this is a subject which is there in the psychology, relationships and all. But I'm trying to really make a point here. We are going to design based on people's psychology. So it is very inevitable to attend to understand this aspect of. Once you're able to have this mind, like have this concept in mind when you're doing a product design, you will have a much clarity in what to focus for your user Persona, for your audience, for your target market. Okay, like let's say support and criticism. Okay, See, you can design a fitness app that is not just bombarded with intensive workouts and all. It starts with a very supportive nature. Okay, like let's say if it is initially providing you a very customized plan, it's very simple. Level 1 workouts and all these things based on your what you call the current stamina, the energy and the fitness level you have. So as you progress, the app introduces most challenges, it introduces more what you call criticism of constructive criticism. I would say to help you really go beyond your comfort zone, reach your fitness goal, reach your stamina and this thing. Okay, this is another example. The third example is like let's say pricing people versus criticizers. Social media platform can be a great example. Guys, you know what? Media social media is always a double edged swat. You can able to understand that. So they offer a space for connection, positive interaction. That's called pricing. However, you know what? Sometimes lack of scrutiny can lead to a miss spread of information which is not to be spread, but spread of misinformation will happen. So imagine platform that can incentivize this positive interaction by providing some rewards and price and benefits while also checking for the security reasons. Any threat or any scrutiny is happening, they will be removed or their page will be blocked. So you can able to have that balance already. Social media Twitter is also having this. So understand they have designed people for this. Let's say if you have only this openness with your product, what will happen is people will not like it over time. Like let's say when you have a negative nature in it always in order to be overproductive, over productive, overproductive. What happens is people will not love it after a certain point of time. So the balance is what is important. So this is the art of design harmony, guys. It's not a very easy thing. See, opposites always attract, right? To strike a balance, we need to design a product according to this psychological needs, right? Overproductive people attach with over bullying people, over supportive people attach with over challenges, over pricing people attach with criticizers over criticizers attach with people who are supporters and rescuers. So see guys, user needs to be personalized for their experience based on the character and the personality what they have like let's say a learning language app. A learning language app is providing a flexibility to choose between structured learning and a clear instruction which can be overprotective and a free from practice can make them understand and go overboard which is like a over challenge. Right? See if you're designing a learning app you can have this in mind. So this will allow a very tailored based experience. Video games let's say initially it can provide a very clear instruction, manageable levels, very overproductive. Over the time it can make a very challenging complex even even over challenging. You can say this can make you push your boundaries out of it same I gave you for the fitness app education software. Anything could be addressed based on this. And also transparency and user control needs to be there see be upfront on how your product really works. Because whenever you're doing this kind of a product there will be a lot of disputes happening unless until you are not clear on what you want to intend your users to be then that will go into the extreme sites. So it's a very honest nature of a designer to exhibit that that this is a product, this is what it does and this is what it will go into the extremes to challenge it. Okay, I hope you have got this four different what you call nature of pair of opposites and and how you can able to crack it through your product design. Okay, so please share your thoughts on this about podcast because this kind of topics I would love to interact with students and other people because 31 country people are listening to this podcast and they want a different perspective guys. Okay. I hope this podcast added value. Give me a best star rating if you find this useful in Apple and Spotify. We'll see in another episode. Bye bye.
