Thank you for staying tuning in with me. In this podcast we're going to learn a lot of things, guys. Particularly in this last seven episodes I've been going very deep into design thinking, methodology, tools, how you can apply. So it all comes to this point, how do you really get the final results? How do you get a design thinking job? Right? So a lot of times you might be wondering design jobs you will be finding. But here I'm going to really make it very clear for you guys. If you really wanted to align a big career for you as a designer, I would highly, highly recommend you find a company where it's going to be a big fit for you. Okay? See, design thinking is not just a buzzword. It's a powerful approach for solving a big, big problems. What people not able to solve it in a conventional way. In fact, a lot of researches has been discussed and podcast have been recorded earlier thing it is like people who understand design thinking and apply they have a revenues of up to 3x4x faster and they will be able to apply the projects and the way in which their revenue generate apart from their customers is but in their competitors is different. The way in which the user experience improves is significantly higher. So they're now recognizing this power, guys. But this podcast is how you wanted to go there, how you wanted to find those industry and how you can go there and lead the design teams or work in the design teams to design a better products, improve customer experience, ultimately improving the revenues and profits of the market.
Okay?
So design thinking is always not about some aesthetics this, design this that. It's about understanding the needs and pain points of the user.
Okay?
Empathy completely in the design process. If you understand end to end what is a user is going through, you will be able to understand and internalize design thinking in a much different way. Okay, so it's a huge shift in mindset. It's not a skill set. Okay? So if you are very evident in your mindset and prioritizing this design thinking in the hiring process, you'll see a huge difference, guys. Okay, okay. Let's go into the eight steps. The very first step is collect the keywords which is relevant to design thinking.
Okay?
You can use Google, you can use ChatGPT, you can use any kind of a tool like let's say Google Bard and all. You can find out that. Okay, the very first thing is keyword collection. So why Jagdish Keywords is very important. You might be wondering, but just hold on. Okay, once if you're going through this eight steps, you will get a clarity on why I'm asking you to do this. Because there are a lot of algorithms which LinkedIn and Facebook and Instagram really works. Lot of job search platform works, but you might not know it. Okay? So that's why the keywords are very important to cross over these algorithms. The second step is you have to create an account in LinkedIn. If you already have, that's great. You can, if you are not, please do it. Create an account in Instagram, create an account in Twitter, create an account in Facebook. You can even have a small podcast channel releasing two, three episodes. That's enough. You can have a YouTube channel if you want. You can have any kind of a social presence, guys, okay? But LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter is mandatory. Okay, you can have additionally Quora create an account there. Okay, Step three is update this particular profile for the next seven days without having any kind of an interruption.
Okay?
You can able to create any kind of a new information about certain design thinking methodologies. You can, you can take from the Google also. You can take from the online also. If you are having some kind of a learning, you can share as a post. You can go to Canva. It's a very simple tool. You can create a poster. If you're not able to do just put a textual post in LinkedIn. So whatever you want, you can just do. But you have to create a particular post every day. Okay, Same post. You can copy paste in LinkedIn, you can do it in Facebook, you can put it in Insta Twitter. You don't have to create different, different mediums. Okay, so you can do this. And the fourth important step is network with seven people per day for the next seven days. Okay, I'm just making it a 7, 77 so that you will get a clarity and there is a magic number also. Okay, so why people really have seven as a magical thing so you will get a clarity, guys, over the time. If you are able to do this consistently for seven days and if you're able to network seven people, like let's say go and send a LinkedIn Connect, find your industries. Like let's say if you want to go and work for Google, if you want to work for Amazon, if you want to go for any kind of an industry like Deloitte Consulting Agency, anything, just go and find out people, UX designers or UI designers or product designers, just hit a connect.
Okay?
Just randomly do this. Tell them, hey, I'm so and so like I'm looking for a very good design thinking learning process. I saw your profile that you said you are a design thinker. Okay, so why don't you just ask a feedback with you? Why don't I just have a small, what you call interaction with you? I love to talk to you, I'd love to see your work, I'd like to see my work so that you can give a feedback so you can engage in some kind of a casual conversation. I know it's very difficult for majority people, but if you really want to get results, cross the step, okay, break that kind of an ice break or whatever. Okay, so just break that kind of a cold outreach people have a big problem in that. Guys, if you are very shy, I would say design is not for you. Hey Jagdish, what you're saying like this? I'm an introvert person, so I can't be creative. I mean you can be creative but you cannot express yourself 100%. If you're okay with that, you can stay in this field. I wanted to make you raw and natural. For that you need to not have a tags like introvert, extrovert. Just go beyond all these things, get what you want. So in this process you need a job. You wanted to apply design thinking, you wanted to go to a design thinking industry, right? So why is this barrier blocking? You go and talk to people. So build your network. Fifth important step is build your Excel sheet database. Okay? So collect many industries like let's say per day you can take three or four industries, okay? You can build a data research for these companies and particularly if you really hit a what you call like button. And then if you write about this podcast, particularly below in this comment. Okay, write about this podcast. I'll be sharing my magical sheet guys which is called a what you call company database sheet which me and my community work every single day in order to collect company data. And there is a 14 different parameters how to analyze and recognize and rate a company before applying for them. It's not about they hiring you. You have to hire the company and go and work for them. You should reject. So how do you have that mindset. That sheet will help you in a base level. I'll tell you, you can name the company, you can put a. What are their core responsibilities, what are the mission, vision value. Find out a lot of information about the company. And then if you need more clarity you can just write out in this email. We'll be sending out this gift from for you guys. In that Excel sheet you can update all of the data. And now the sixth important step is update your design projects with respect to this keywords of design thinking, whatever you collected, okay? Because when you see the company's data, okay, because you will find only companies which is related to design thinking. Like let's say Frog, Design Studio, Ideo, Design Studio. These people highly, highly apply design thinking as a methodology. In fact, IDO is one of the founder, David Kelly, he was the one who wrote this thinking which is called a design thinking several years back. 10, 15, 20 years back I think. So these are, these studios are highly, highly implementing this. So you will find that keywords in this industries, in this job, roles and responsibilities and you will find a great correlation. Similar companies also will have this kind of a design thinking keywords. So see guys, you're. You're differentiating yourself. In this sixth step. You know how a lot of people will be applying for design job. But you will be finding out the design thinking job which is going to align with your requirements and skill set. And then your dream and then you're going to apply there. You know what if industry sees your interest, if the industry really sense your interest in that way, they'll hire you much faster guys. That's what you have to update your design project with the keywords, what you collected and the design thinking process what you applied. You can use this for Indian market, global market, anything Guys, very, very important step.
Okay?
Seventh step. Now go and pitch your projects. Whatever you created, just one project is enough guys. You can pitch it in email, you can pitch it in website, you can put it in the LinkedIn, you can send a portfolio, you can do a call. Send them everywhere, wherever, where possible you want to reach them. Okay, so I'll just Repeat you the seven step. First step is collect the keywords of design thinking using ChatGPT, Google. No problem. Second is create a LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, social media presence page. Third is update your post every single day for the next seven days.
Okay?
One post, one information about design thinking. You will also learn guys value post. Fourth step is network with seven people per day for the next seven days. Fifth is Build your Excel sheet database using the different different categories of the company. And then find out what is the real requirement of a company in design thinking process. Sixth is update your design projects based on the keywords. What you updated for the companies for the keywords, update your project. This is the most most important step. And seventh is you can pitch. Okay, you can pitch it in many ways. Eight important factor is you will have to follow up with them and be accountable. See, you'll have to be accountable with someone because either you have a mentor or you have a good people who can help you out. Account them accountable with them. Don't just do it on alone. Don't be a lone wolf. You'll not be able to move farther.
Okay?
So have a follow up with the HR and be accountable with your mentor to correct it. Okay, ninth and last important step. Additional step, I'll say you is track and send reminders every single time. Have a follow up call with them.
Okay?
Send some broadcast messages. People don't do this. Guys. See, we are not collecting some data for just applying for job. We are collecting data for our lifetime. We can use this Excel sheet anytime, anywhere in our career. If you wanted to get job, if you wanted to get anything more than this. Okay, I hope these nine points are very clear for you guys. If you really do this, I'm telling you in seven days you will see a significant results. If it is not working, probably you might have made a little mistake. You have to course correct. You have to try one more seven days. You will definitely get it second time. There is no doubt about it. If you need my support in learning this aspects very crucially and technicality without doing any kind of what you call ups and downs, you want to get results faster, you can connect with me. I'll be more than happy to help you out. Because I've guided hundreds and hundreds of students to follow this methodology. In order to target the right industry, target their dream job and get hired.
Okay?
Don't think your skill is really bad. Don't think industry is really big. There are industries like let's say Your skill is 0 out of 10. Your skill is only 5. There are industries whose scale is 5. There are industries whose products and service quality is 5. First, you can start your career there, right? Because you are also five. They are also five. They'll hire you. It's your responsibility to go and find those companies first. Okay, then improve your score to 7. Then improve your score to 8. Then apply for industries which is 8. Then go for 9. Then go for 10. So that's how you improve. Guys, it's not like I'll go and become 10 and then I'll apply for the job. Disease of perfectionism is killing every designer today in this day and age. Please remove this perfectionism. I'll become perfect and then I'll do it tomorrow. No, it'll never happen. You evolve as a person. Once you grow, once you start, once you take action, nothing else will happen. Guys, if you need this kind of an accountability and support and mentoring, you can also have a very good support in this program. By writing at the email to DFC Design4Change, you can able to find that me or my team will help you out join this particular program. Common experience it. We have a full 100% money refund policy. Also for the first 10 days you can experience this program and you can get a refund. That's totally, totally fine. But before you experience it, you won't be able to take a decision. So I highly, highly recommend if you needed that support, you can do, but don't do it alone. First find somebody who is really going to help. Not this program, that program. You choose, whatever. But any program or any mentor is better than nobody.
Okay?
So have something. Move forward, take action. Love to hear your comments in this podcast. We'll see you in another episode. Take care. Bye bye. See you guys.
