Ep 212| Nothing is free in the world of Design - Illusion of FREE

Free, free, free. We used to get lot of free things in our life, right? But let me tell you, there is nothing like free in this world. Everything, whatever we are doing is going to come up with a cost. It's going to come up with your time investment, it's going to come up with your efforts. You'll have to pay something in terms of money, effort or spending your time. If you're not doing that, you cannot yield any results. Even in this podcast, when I see and I ask students to go and climb the free kip, there is a little effort to go and get it. It's not like you will get automatically to your home delivered. Okay? So in this podcast I'm going to tell you why this free word is definitely not suitable in the world of design. Okay, first point, guys. The illusion of free is very, very common. See, we have lot of freebies and we see in the website being the product this, that nothing in design comes with the price without a price tag, guys. Okay? Whether it's a software, tools or any materials you're doing, definitely pay some money and get it. Because if you're not utilizing that, if you're using only free, free, free. And then if you are using pirated softwares, you're using this, shortcuts, that, shortcuts. I'll tell you what will happen. You will never get abundance in your life because whatever you're doing is directly connected to this universe, okay? One or the other way you will be paying for it. Nothing in this universe is free, guys. Instead, I'll say another perspective which is second perspective, invest in yourself. You're not going to invest in some business or something else. You're going to invest in your knowledge. You're going to invest in your personality development. You're going to invest in yourself in order to become that person. Mastery in design is very important, guys. It's not like the hours what you study or you, you learn some skill. It's like you have to really dedicate yourself in order to become that person. That is the big investment which you can make. It's not free, guys. You have to invest time, efforts. Even if you have to take a good program which is a little expensive, go and do it because it's going to come 10, 20 times in returns. But do not expect that. Don't expect anything when you're investing something, okay? And then networking is more, more important, guys, than exchanging some business cards and all these things. And I'll tell you what, free in the sense people just get some information from them. Free of cost. Or maybe they'll get a networking referral. Be sure that you return 10 times, 20 times more for the people even, I would say in one more way, you be the first one to help them more than you expect any help from them. This is the way in which the world works, guys. Nothing is free in this world. If you offer 10 times more help heartfully, without any expecting to someone, they will help you at the most important time in your life 100 times. But again, do not expect this. Nothing is free again in this world of design. Okay? See, the law of sowing and reaping definitely works everywhere. I only believe in that because my mentor taught that. The moment I understood that I really don't get anything for free or I don't really expect anything for free. In design, as in your life, I would say whatever you sow, you reap, guys, generously. I'm telling you, generosity is one of the major things. But invest in yourself, invest in certain things which you really are most interested and more valued in your life. If you do that, let me tell you guys, unexpected returns will come. Universe will give you an abundance. That is why I believe a lot of things in charity. For this past one year, I've been doing a lot of charity. But the thing is, it should be little more higher. Also, I'm feeling, because through my, through my understanding, what I know is the more you give, the abundance you will get. If you want to get more love, you need to give more love. If you want to get more money, give more money. If you want to get good knowledge, spend more time in design education. So the concept of free is completely redefined. Guys, you're not really. What do you call seeing something like, hey, this is coming, this free, that free. No, it's. It's definitely a myth. You need to get this clarity, okay? And let me tell you one thing very clearly, guys. If you really understand this particular information, from now on, you decide on something that I will make sure. Whatever I'm purchasing, whatever I'm taking as a program, whatever I'm taking as a utilization help from others, make sure you pay that. Okay? Even if it's a friendship, tell them, hey, I'll help you more than what you asked me. No problem. Leave it. That's the returns, that's the pay. It's not money transaction. Always free in the sense you need to understand this. You need to redefine this word of free, guys. It's the time we need to shift our perspective. What happens is then we receive only in Terms of money that becomes a free free. And instead of that you make payment and also invest and pay is something which is there for money. Also time, also effort, also handouts and anything else. Dedication, effort, helping others contribute. So this is the whole way in which free can be understood. And the next time, when you see any program or next time, when you go and invest in any kind of a tool or a training program or learning system, make sure you really invest. Because when you invest money, you will pay close attention. When you pay close attention, you will take action. When you take action, you will get results. When you get results, your life gets transformed. My mentor says it's their moral, responsibility and authority of a mentor to charge them. Because he knows that when people pay money, they become serious and get results. Or else the value exchange will never happen. Money is just a byproduct. Money is just exchange of value. I would say in other way, but there are other things which we can pay in order to get the best fruits of our life. See the nature. If you are doubting this particular information, whatever I am telling you, nature takes anything and gives back hundred times in returns, relentlessly, whether you stop or not. Tree keeps on growing, plant keeps on growing, air keeps on coming, carbon dioxide goes and fresh air comes in, right? It does. It does. It does. Think about it guys. And I hope you will. You will get it over the span of time. Because lot of students and start of their career, they will be allured by this version of free and all. But if you really go and understand deeply, you'll see there is a price to pay for it. You'll see there is a time to pay for it. You'll see the efforts to pay for it without paying.
