Welcome to this Design for Change channel guys. Thank you for staying tuning here. It's been a very long time since we have launched a particular content because we've been launching a very great intensive initiation inside our program and we've been launching a new hackathon concept as well and I welcome you to come and take part. But in this particular video, I'm going to help you learn how you can able to network in LinkedIn and if you're networking in LinkedIn, why people are not replying for you. Right? Many people have this problem, so, so in this video I'm going to help you why these three factors are very important when it comes to networking and what are the psychology behind it and why do people have to reply for you in spite of you asking them a lot of things or they asking you something? There needs to be some kind of a connection, trust and everything, right? So I'm going to break you. What is that element? And I'm going to give you the secrets as well how you can scale it up. Because if you use this particular technique, you can literally go and network with any people out there in the market. Let it be a CEO or let it be a normal person or anybody, it doesn't matter. Okay? Because using that I've also built a lot of good potential networks from which I'm building this design for change program in multiple countries. Okay, so let's jump into this video. Okay, so the very big pain point one of our student also asked not getting a reply in LinkedIn even after messaging with a lot of people. I also have a lot of what you call they say Jagdish. I've been trying to message as much as people as possible and I've been sending my portfolio and I've been also telling these people like sir, please help me out or maybe you get my portfolio into the next round or tell me why my portfolio is not getting selected. Some kind of a feedback students are expecting but they're not getting any reply. Why? Because you don't understand the crux of networking. See, 85% of the jobs in the market is only filled through a referral. Yes, you're only fighting for the 15 percentage market already. You're already left out. So people are already leveraging that strength. That's the whole point you have to understand. Okay, the first important element, what I have to tell you is empathy and trust, okay? Empathy with a very genuine intention. Will you the trust people don't get this. See from the day one, from the very start of the Communication, you have to be very clear why are you going to interact with that person? Right? See, to do that you need to understand a little who is that person? Understand that particular. Find out their needs. If. If you find out their interest and what are they really searching for, you can able to easily reach out to them. Because you got the hook. It's very important. Okay. And be genuine in your communication. Don't, don't tell bluff, don't tell all these things and I'll just tell. Looking for a very good suggestion from you. Because I'm looking for a career transition. Your design studio seems very potential. I wanted to understand if this kind of a studio really works for me better. Can you suggest me some suggestions? I'm sharing my portfolio, I'm sharing my resume. Can we have a quick phone call? I would be really happy. And also I can see if you are also looking for any job in my company. Also the senior vacancy roles are available. I can also do that. No problem. Don't hesitate to ask me. Try to help them more guys. Because if the more you try to help them, it'll be super duper helpful for them. Okay. Also spend your time understanding the individual background and try to be very specific. See, you can use a message like this. Hey, I saw Your post in LinkedIn recently about the challenges of maintaining a team morale in your remote environment. I've been navigating a similar issues in my own team and I found that regular virtual coffee breaks are really helpful. So I'd love to exchange more ideas. See, this is the way to hook them because you understood their pain point and you're also trying to offer them a solution itself. Or possibly if that solution is little complex, you can get on a call with these people and then what happens? People will be more interested to talk with you, right? Yes. So this is one way to do. Authenticity is equal to trust. Very, very important. Second is personalization. See, once you find point of this person, okay, don't send LinkedIn AI generated messages randomly. Never, never, never do that. Because many people don't understand this particular point, that becomes a big problem. You need to get it clear that every person requires a personalized message. See, in this day and age, people are getting lost in the messages and feed and post and WhatsApp notification, everything, right? If you have to really cut through this noise, you have to write a personalized message. And the first three words is very important. Please pay close attention. The first three very important. Okay. In fact, the first three words like let's say attracts and hooks if you're not getting this attraction and hook in the first three words, you lost the person. Even if they open your message, there won't be much interest in reading your thing because you're not context personalized for them. Like let's say if you're talking to somebody who wants to give you job or you're looking for some internship, you could say 10x better intern at your doorstep. Hi, I'm Jagdish. I'm doing this that you can tell later the subject line or the three words. First you type it in LinkedIn. It's very, very, very, very important. A lot of people underestimate it. A lot of people don't understand it. And I've recently learned it's a very interesting strategy. I've learned from a workshop and I'm sharing with that because I'm also using that and getting a benefit. So use that. Okay? Your offer to ask is directly relevant to them. Make sure it is very contextual. Okay? Don't try to say hi, good morning, goodbye. All these things is not going to help you out anything. Let's see an example. Hi. I've noticed your work at your company, particularly the innovative approach you took, it's very much aligned with direction. What I'm also exploring in my current role, I would love to discuss with you. Can we have a zoom call? Can we have a phone call? Can you see my blog? Something like you can able to invite them? Can you accept my request? See, this is all call to action the moment. If you are able to get this kind of a call to action for the people to do, people will be much interested in getting back to you. If you are not giving that, people will not know after reading a message how to respond. This is majorly called call to action. Okay? Because call to action is very powerful and if you're not understanding what is mean by call to action, like let's say, let's say you're talking with the person, okay, you built a very good relationship. All everything is fine. But if you're not giving a call to action properly, like what to do after talking to you, he will not come back to you. Getting that potential contact or the network is waste. You need to know, right, how to get them into the action. Because many people miss out this point. Many people do a very good networking but they don't know how to give the call to action in order to specifically hook these people into your discussion. Okay, I hope this is clear for you because many people, what I can see in LinkedIn is they are randomly sending out some messages without even thinking whether that is personalized for that person or not. And then they are expecting a reply and that will not come. Third is very interesting and simple. You have to give some, reciprocate with them, guys. See, universe always works relentlessly, right? Nature produces you relentlessly. They do not expect anything from you. When you're networking with the person, you should have the same mindset, guys. You need to be like giving, giving, giving a lot. Let me give you information, Let me clarify your doubts. Let me give you some suggestion, let me give you some ideas. The more if you are giving, the faster you will be able to get. See, don't have a notion of getting it back. Have a notion of giving. Always tune this mindset because if you wanted to be a very good networker or if you wanted to really get through a lot of designers and talk with them, this is the only psychology which has worked so far. And I'm also exactly teaching you because I've been applying that and I don't expect anything. I just lot of students in my program, they've also taken and some of the students were not able to afford it. So sometimes we give them a scholarship. We don't expect that. So many times you need to give the worry about the returns. You will be able to get a lot of returns from that. Okay, that's the point. So offer something in reason, maybe give a value, give an insight, give an idea. The principle of reciprocation increases the likelihood to reciprocate. Offer something before they ask. This is very important guys. Whether they ask, you have to say thank you. I've recently come across a report and that work is really interesting. I would love to share some insights. If you're interested I can send you a PDF. Can you share your email? Okay. You can also type out another message saying hi, I'm much interested in the message what you posted. I would love to talk with you. This is my below number and if you're not able to reach me, I will call you tomorrow. Can you share yours? See whether they call or not. You're going to call them tomorrow. This is the way to get the number back. Because many people don't know how to get the even. How to get the numbers even back. That's the big problem. This, this people. Okay, so I'm sorry guys. I'm sorry, I'm sorry. Yes. So this is a big problem. We need to understand this. Okay, fine. Jagdish, it's all good. So how does it really work. See guys, I explained about the empathy and authenticity building trust. I explained about how you can personalize a message. I explained you about giving the value and everything. Let me tell you guys, sales professional, successful Sales Professional use LinkedIn to build their trust. By consistently engaging with their target market. They're converting the leads and closing the sales. Because of this strategy, job seekers candidates who personalize their connection request are 50 times more higher response rate getting from the hiring managers than the normal people. Are you guys understanding this? Because this statistics is going to help you out to clarify why I'm telling Networking is damn, damn, damn, damn important. Many people take it underrated because they don't understand the statistics. That's the reason. Okay, yes. So what are the practical steps to implement it? See, first of all, try to touch base with 10 to 20 people every single day. In fact that is the very first thing I would say touch with 10 to 20 people every day, okay. And research about that particular person before you talk with them. Try to avoid generic messages, okay? Don't, don't do any kind of a generic messages. Just write a very personalized message. Make sure that specific details from the profile to show that message is tailored to them. Okay? Because if you do that, only you can able to get it. And also please make sure you give a value. And I'll give you one more suggestion as well. Make sure you follow it up with that person. Because follow up is mastery, guys. Follow up is a mastery. Follow up is the most, most, most important skill. Money lies in follow up. My mentor used to always say okay. In fact in my course I've recorded a particular section called networking and follow up. Because lot of people have portfolio skills and everything when it comes to industry, they are missing out on all these things. That's why they're able to miss the big opportunity as well. Okay? So the follow up is everything. And also be consistent. You need to be consistent, absolutely consistent. If you touch base with this kind of a people like let's say 10 to pay 20 people in LinkedIn. Okay. You can able to write down like let's say write a post and ask them to engage and also reply for their post actively and also like and comment and share their post if it's useful. So all these things you can able to do, guys, okay, you can join also in many groups so that you will find some relevant people out there in LinkedIn. Okay. LinkedIn groups or maybe you can able to add like let's say Facebook groups or insta. You can connect with many pages and studios so you can get to know a lot of these people. Okay, See some people will not be very active in LinkedIn. But those people you can give a request in Facebook insta so that one or the other way you're trying to find the connect of those people and then what happens trying to build the relationship from there. Imagine if you do for 10 to 20 people. In a span of 10 days you'll be able to reach at least 100 people. In the span of 30 days, you'll be able to at least touch base. 300 people. Don't you think in 300 people people will at least give you a job? 5 people will at least give you internship. 2 people will at least ask you to come for the interview. Maybe one gets hired. It's all matter of numbers. Now I told you the formula. Now I told you the secret. Now you will have to go and develop a strategy. You will have to go and personalize some messages and start reaching to people. Okay? I hope this particular video has given you a clarity. Watching and listening to this is not going to change you anything.
