Let's say portfolio is your pain point. Let's say getting hired is your pain point. Like let's say research is your pain point. So make sure you type that keyword and you will one or the other way get the relevant information podcast any topic, at least one or two podcasts we would have recorded over there. Okay, so make a use of it and also spread a word to your friends. Whoever is interested in learning product design and ui, UX design and creative design, they can able to get an advantage. But if you really wanted to work closely with me to get my guidance and support, there is a link below to register for my upcoming free webinar. You can watch that at the end of the webinar. I'll be giving you an opportunity to come and join to my program. Because we don't take much students, we only take who are very serious. This is not a program. We have a bulk mass and we don't do that kind of teachings. We help few students who are very interested and they have to get results. That's what is our main program and objective is all about. So you can jump on and you can get an email also if you want a conversation, if you have a conversations with me, like if you wanted to have some doubts and clarification, you can go to that email and also send to that and we will receive that. Okay, thank you so much guys. With that being said, we'll start this podcast. So today we are going to discuss in one minute how can you go and hook the design recruiters. Whoever is calling in a phone or whoever is calling in your what you call in your zoom call or maybe in a phone call or in a physical interview or virtual interview, anything guys. Because in one minute you should be able to crack the code what people are really expecting. Okay, so let's see that. If you wanted to get a very detailed breakdown, I would also highly recommend you go and watch my YouTube live stream which we did today where I also did a student's case study in front of everybody. So that Everybody can learn what's happening around them, everybody can do a mistake and then they can learn. In fact, I took two students off me and then I've recorded that. Okay, so the point here is I asked people to come to that live call. The reason being so that I can able to make them answer the questions. Like I'm being a recruiter and they are the person who's going to give the interview. And we had a role play and you can watch that very detailed. But in this podcast you're going to get only the nutshell of what is going to happen. Okay, first of all, let me tell you guys. See, briefing over the phone is a strategy. It creates a very good impression first and in one minute people are able to engage with you so that the attention span is taken care. Okay? So the reason why it is very important is your first impression is the best impression, guys, the first contact wherever you talk to the people. Like let's say if you're even talking to the recruiter or maybe if you're talking to the design lead or maybe if you're talking to the employee of the organization. First impression is the best impression. You need to understand in one minute you should be able to segregate what your really intention is to call them and make sure you tell them why you are exactly suitable for that role and make sure you give the call to action. The moment when you're giving this, guys, it creates a very good connect or else you will keep on talking with many people but you will not get any results for sure. You need to get this point and clarity, guys, because until then you won't be able to move forward. Confidence is a very important factor. Okay, so now there are some misconceptions so people think, hey, I need to give all the details when people are calling me. Nobody has that much of time, guys, and I'll be interrupted when I'm. When they're asking question and what if I don't answer in the same flow. Don't worry about everything. Don't worry about this misconception. I'm going to give you five steps how we can able to break down your one minute. Carefully listen to me very, very carefully and if you have the notes, please go and grab it and take notes. If you're traveling somewhere and you're listening, please take your notepad and I mean what, you got your notepad in your smartphones and note it down. Because this is not meant to be. Just listen and left. It's equivalent to not listening at all. Please, please Understand this very carefully guys. Because ultimately you are not going to get results if you are just following just like that. Okay so listen to me very carefully. First five seconds is for your introduction. So who are you? Why are you calling? Set the context. Hi sir, I'm so and so. I'm a fintech designer. I'm a product designer, I'm a medical designer. So talk about that very very carefully. Because people will get to connect with you in that one minute only in that. Sorry, in that first five seconds to ten seconds. Okay? If they are not able to connect with you, they won't have the longer conversation with you. Please listen very carefully guys. Okay, second is the next 10 seconds. Highlight your skills and achievements. Like let's say if you're a lead product designer, if you're a senior UI UX designer, if you're a fresher, make sure you highlight your skills. Sir, I'm ready to. I'm the guy who has responsible for Amazon's website redesign in the last quarter and you can see the Amazon website now and that was did by me. Highlight your skill or the best achievement in a very short span of time. You don't have to tell. I'm good in research, I'm good in ideation, I'm good in prototype, I'm good in this. That. Instead you can say so this Amazon redesigned website, currently what you're seeing is done by me. That's it, right? In a quicker span of time how we can able to tell your achievement? Okay, maybe you are not a very big designer like you designed some Amazon and this that websites. But you can tell something which is very short achievement for you according to you. Maybe if you would have did a small real time project around your house to solve some problem, you can highlight that. Sir, earlier in near my house there was a problem of what you call a poster communication which people are not able to understand where is the hospital and what benefits they are going to get in the local Panjayat hospitals, whatever they're having. I created a big banner and a poster and I posted there. So now people are going to see the advantage. And you know what? Compared to last week there are more than 100 people who have visited the hospital after my banner. I am a good visual communicator. I'm a very good visual designer. In fact this is a self initiated project I did. You can look at my portfolio. See you have created your credibility in just 10 seconds, right? So think about it. Don't be numb, don't be like silent when somebody is Asking you these questions. Okay, Be careful. The next 10 seconds you can talk about the alignment, tell how your skills can able to help them. Let's say if you're a blockchain, ui, UX designer, tell how they can able to improve their user experience, mention a specific reason and demonstrate a true skill which is going to align them. See guys, 80% of your hiring decisions will only come by how suitable and fit you are. Leave the salary, leave the degree part, leave anything else. Guys, whatever hrs are going to ask you, that's only 5 to 10 percentage. But your attitude, behavior and your cultural fit determines your candidature. 80% of the hiring decision comes from that. That is why the next 10 seconds is very important. Tell them how you are aligned to that organization. Sir, you are also looking for a similar candidate. I can understand from your roles and responsibilities. You know what? I did two projects similarly like that. Can we have the interview? Can we have the design task? If they're asking you do you have the skill, you have to challenge them saying can you give a design task? Sir, I'll be taking a day to time to complete this design task and tomorrow evening can we have a zoom call? See, this is very important. You need to align the company needs with your projects and case studies or else there'll be a mismatch. The fourth important section before going into the four, I'll tell you the fifth one first. Okay? Which is a polite and close gratitude. Because you need to have a very polite nature when you're talking. See guys, whenever you're asking a question to the recruiter, whenever you are being answering or anything, politeness is the most most important thing. You need to be very polite. Even though that HR or somebody is going to get your tone, anger or maybe if they show you a very rash behavior, it's okay, fine. You have to ultimately become calm, kind, polite to answer them. You need to understand this important element. Okay? So once you understand this, you can able to answer whatever question they ask. And you can also answer, you can also ask a question which is more polite to them. And then fifth and the most most important element, call to action. That is the last 10 seconds. Whatever you are explaining about yourself, whatever you're explaining about your skill set, whatever you're explaining about your achievement, whatever you're explaining about the role and alignment of that company, whatever polite and gratitude you are, make sure everything is going to be connected at the final end call. Call to action. End of the call, you should say sir, it's good talking with you. Can I get a very deep conversation in you. A zoom call. Sir, can I get a conversation with your design team? Sir, can I get a design task from you? Sir, can I get an interview from you? Sir, when can I get back to you? The moment when you are asking question, you are in the control of that conversation. In fact, guys, please go to the YouTube channel. I have given you a very deep case study out there. It's a one hour class we took. You can go and watch there. Okay, this podcast is a very short nutshell. So the moment when you're giving call to action and then asking a question for the interviewer, you are definitely getting through. Guys, you're already better than the 80% of the people out there genetically looking for jobs. And then you should be able to follow it up. Sir, you said today evening we can have an interview. Which time? 4 o', clock, 3 o'? Clock? Is it a zoom or is it a teams or is it a phone call? So tomorrow morning, nine o', clock, ten o'. Clock. The moment when people are telling you we'll get back to you, you should ask sir, when are you getting back? Exactly tomorrow. Tomorrow means in the evening. Evening means in the 5 o' clock or 6 o'. Clock. See, the more specific you go, they will be more responsible to answer. The moment when you say sir, tomorrow you'll get back. Okay, sir, thank you. If you cut a call like this, you are not absolutely going anywhere. Please remember very carefully this is most, most important. Okay, so introduction, skill and achievement, alignment, closing with the politeness and call to action. Finally you need to understand this guys. Okay? And go and listen to my podcast which is called 12 curiosity who can fight 12 emotional hook and 5 curiosity hook. Totally 17 hooks we have given how to talk with the person. In this case you can use curiosity hook, Value driven hook, Confidence hook. Value driven hook works better because many times people will ask you what is your expected ctc? You don't have design degree so we cannot offer you and you don't have experience, we cannot offer you role. So HRS will come up with a lot of questions. So you should show the value what you got and hook them. See guys, if you use a curiosity and engagement who kind of value driven who it will improve your conversion rates of interview to a larger extent. You have to show the metrics. SIR 25 percentage. I've improved SIR, I've improved the system from 1 to 2. I've improved the system by reducing the number of steps. You have to tell your metrication properly. Show the Value what you're going to give for the organization through your project confidently then and only they can able to get through you. Okay, let me tell you guys, the moment when you're asking this specific question and introducing them, you are getting their attention. You are going directly into their memory. Even if they can interview hundreds of candidates, they will remember you. And you know what, you are making them get a dopamine hit because you are offering solution. You are triggering the interest and curiosity and you are also building an empathy and trust. The moment when you do this guys, you will definitely get huge credit. Chill to talk to the recruiter sometimes if they sound little hard you can ask me. Sir, are you calling from the HR team? Is it? Sure. Because every single day we are also getting spam calls from many people asking us to pay this much amount to attend the interview. And this that just wanted to confirm you sir. I'm sorry to ask this but I just wanted to be sure. The moment when you ask this then that person will give you the trust back. Okay, be clear guys, it is very important. And then let me tell you, cold call increases your interview chance by 30% more follow up on appreciation is very important. 70% of the hiring managers prefer people who are very proactive. You have to do the research before the industry and follow it up with after the interview with the hr ask them what happened, what feedback, when are you getting back, what exact reason they like you more. Guys, 75% of the people like you already in the HR community so you should be proactive guy. After listening to this podcast you should be a great action taker to implement these things. And let me tell you guys, 62nd is the best success rate for you. 40% higher response rate you will get once you answer the question in just one or two minutes instead of having a lengthy conversation.
