Foreign is one of the skill many designers really lack. They don't know how to convert a phone call into a zoom call interview. They don't know how to convert a zoom call interview into a offer letter. They don't know how to convert offer letter into the most expected salary. What they want. They don't know how to convert that salary and ask with the people and at the right time, to the right people at the right moment to get their dream jobs cracked. This is all coming to one thing. How you are able to question and how you are able to qualify the HR in order to qualify the company for you. If you are in this position, you can able to choose any industry which you wanted to go for the skill set, whatever you have. Okay, so that is the reason I'm recording this podcast. Take a lot of notes. This is going to be a very, very important point shooter style podcast. It's not going to be a very 20 minutes long podcast. Okay? So take a notes and very, very carefully listen to it. And I would highly recommend you to listen to it one more time because you may not get it in one go. You will have to do it multiple times. Okay, first let me tell you why it's important. First of all, you need to gather information, show that you're very interested. This is what is going to give you clarity towards taking decision. The big misconception, what people do, let me tell you, they only ask questions to the HR about the salary. That's completely wrong. They think, oh, what if I ask this question, what people will think about me? No, this is completely bs. People will not think anything unless you think about yourself. Something like that. Everybody will be very interested and happy to answer your questions. And when you ask questions that shows that you're very serious about that role. Please remove this misconception. Okay, so first of all, let me give you a few techniques, guys. When you're researching about a company, provide a very insightful question to them. What would be my role helping you grow the company in the next six months? Where do I see myself in the next five years? You can able to ask a question like this. If you wanted to really understand the kind of work nature what you will do, you'll have to show what are the top priority activities which I'll be doing for the next 90 days, which will make the company grow, which will make the company yield profits, which will make the company increase their revenue into next level. See the kind of questions what I'm giving you, it is very, very high quality, right? So you will have to think through it. You will have to inquire about this company as well. You need to ask, hey, if my value is being highly put in this company and work forward, what are all the challenges which I'll be facing? What would be the requirement and the preparation which would be required for me before joining the job? See that shows that you are very interested to already join the job. Right? So think about it. It's not easy. People do miss these points and people don't ask these questions to the hr. Okay, so what kind of a questions you can ask? See guys, there are hundred different question 150 different questions which you can ask for a HR which I'm giving you as a free gift for you. Okay, so anybody who's emailing to us to connect designforchange.com we are going to give them a free gift of this 150 questions. What you can ask for the HR? What you can ask for the design recruiters, what you can ask for the fellow designers, what you can ask for even the CEO of the company. We have categorized it and we are going to only give it for the people, whoever is very interested and showing the reply for this podcast. Okay, so please find the description below. And also if you claim the free gift, there is an option that you may be also provided this 150 question sheet along with that. Okay, but in this podcast I'm going to give you some nutshell if you wanted to ask like let's say hr. First is a general question you can ask. What is the company's main priority for the next 12 months? How does the company support career development? If you want to ask a role specific question, you can ask what skills are really required in order to succeed in this role? What would be the top priorities for me in the next 90 days? Let's say if you wanted to ask for the recruiters, how does the design team collaborate with engineering, testing and the top management? What are the big challenges the designers currently face? If you want to ask about the growth, you can ask about what is the company support in terms of professional development? Are there any trainings provided? Are there any support and mentoring system available? You want to ask a company's culture, nature and means, the value you can ask how does the company foster diversity and inclusion? What is the company's approach towards different type of work, life balance in terms of remote hybrid work, etc. We wanted to ask a question for technology. What tools do the development team use? How do we designers have to collaborate? What are the tools and techniques which they have to learn in order to go beyond the trend and master it. If you want to ask a question for the design leaders and CEO, you need to ask how does the team gather user feedback? How do my design milestone really get tracked on a weekly basis, on a daily basis, or on a monthly basis? How does a reporting structure really works? If you want to ask a question after the interview, you can ask what are the next steps in the interview process? How can I get more clarity about this? What do I expect from this interview output? When do I expect the interview output? So every time when you ask a question like this, you tend to go into a lot of closer to the recruitment process. I will tell you why this questioning is very important. If you ask the question, people will first become curious. They will start engaging in you, their attention will be very high. They will build a lot of trust in you guys. This is the, this is the three important neurological factors, what the other person receives when they receive a question from you. That's why I'm telling you, always ask a question. Second very important thing, tonality. What do you think about the tonality of this? If you are really asking a question in a polite way, in a more calm way, people tend to answer it. Let's say if they say we will give you only 3.25, LPA will not give you a full time role, will see your performance for six months and then we'll hire you. If this kind of question sometimes really annoys and irritates you, that is why you need to ask, ma', am, for my experience, do you think 3.25 is okay? Ask a question, wait for their response. Many people rush for the next question. No, don't do that. Next. Ma', am, do you think for my experience, for my projects, skill set, whatever I have, do you still need six months to evaluate me? Maybe. Sometimes after you ask this question, people may in fact turn up. Okay, we'll try to give you a full time role. Let me check with my management and come back. Yeah, that could be also a possibility. But have you asked the question? Don't ever just settle for the answers. Whatever they're saying, ask a question and understand. Use the tonality difference. That is the major thing I'm telling you. Okay, so I've given you 10 different variations of different, different questions and I've also given you 20 different questions in this podcast itself. And I mainly told you what are the tonality you can use? If you still wanted to know more, please reply to that email or claim that free gift.
