Foreigners are having a big time problem while presenting it to the recruiters or the design leads on the interview or even the phone call, right? People get nervousness. There is a lot of butterflies flying inside their stomach. They have a problem explaining their own project itself to the others. Why it is happening like that. In this podcast I'm going to break down why it is an important skill to practice it and how it can able to change your destiny as a designer into a different level. Okay, so take a lot of notes. Let's jump in. Welcome guys. Welcome to this podcast. Thank you for staying tuning here in this design for change. This podcast is specifically for the people who are looking to improve their creative skills, who are looking to improve their job search ability in order to go and serve a market. Ultimately why we are learning skill is to solve a problem and to help some industry. Either you start an industry or you help others, it doesn't matter. Okay, so in this particular topic what we are talking is presentation and effective communication. This is a very important skill guys, because lot of people have a problem of putting too much of text in their presentation, not having any consistency in visuals. They have a very monotonous way of delivering the content. It is very vital to master the skill. Okay, I'm going to tell you three things, guys. How you can able to structure your presentation, how you can able to improve your visual skill, and how we can able to engage with the audience in a far more better way using the tips and the techniques. And I'm also going to suggest you 20 AI tools which you can able to help you grow forward. Okay, first, when you're presenting something, know your audience, whom you're talking to. Are you talking to a recruiter or a HR or a people or a normal guy or a co designer or somebody. Second, make sure you plan your flow. Every project should start with a hook, a problem statement or a pain point and then offer them a solution and then show your process and then put a call to action for that. If you're not able to do it, ultimately people will not connect with you. If people are asking you could you tell more about your design pain points, could you tell more about your design process? Then you can go more wider, then you can go more deeper. But initially don't try to explain. When somebody asks you tell about your project for five to ten minutes, that's not required, that will annoy them. Make sure you talk exactly the few important things, which is a pain point of your problem statement, the solution, what you offered, the process, what you followed. And then the call to action once people ask me, okay, now tell about your interactions, what you created. Now tell about your Figma screens. Now tell about your design research. Now tell about your creative ideation. Then you can go much deeper into it. Okay? Make sure it is only three to five main highlights. You have to give guys, very simple second visual best practices. Never keep too much of text or something. Make it very simple, minimal and use 80% visuals, 10% text and 10% graphs and numbers and stack and other visuals, guys, okay? And also make sure you use larger fonts, bolder colors and also use very, very, very minimal subtext and other text, what you wanted to give and credits and hyperlinks on the online sources. You can make it even more small because that is not very relevant. The main content, what you wanted to focus is relevant here. Okay? And try to have a very good hierarchy. Put the headings like let's say in 20 font. Or maybe put the subheadings in 10 font. You can put the text in 8 font. Okay? The normal descriptive text. And you can fill with a very good visual which is available. You can go to unsplash, you can go to free pics, you can go to stock images. So many free sources are available. You can able to take a royalty free images and also present your visuals. Okay. And when it comes to AI tools, I'm going to tell you what tools you can use for AI presentations. Next is engaging the delivery. See, when you are creating some kind of a presentation, when you're talking, you have to make sure that content is little engaging. When you're explaining a project for few minutes, you will have to ask question. Did you understand sir? So far? Whatever explained, can I tell more about the process? You have to wait for what they're replying. Don't just keep on talking about your project. They lose the track more than one or two minutes. If you talk without others talking, they are already missing your communication, they're already missing your flow. For the sake of you presenting the respect, they will keep you engaged or else their attention span is already gone. So every one minute you have to talk, sir, Is this clear? Can I explain more, sir? Is it fine? Should I explain the process here, sir? Can I talk about the color choices, what I make? Can I talk about the process, what I made? So you will have to be more specific on that. That's how it is engaging. And when you are sending some kind of a portfolios to others, you can also create some kind of an interactive quiz inside the presentation. So that keeps them Engaged and hooked. Because when they click the quiz, answer yes or no only, they'll be moved to the next section, right? So. So you are deliberately making them take the action and engaging them in order to move for the next step. So these are all the three powerful methods, guys. Okay? See the best way to actually do it is by making mistakes and learning live guys. It cannot be learned by listening to this podcast. Even though I told you the structure, like let's say structuring your presentation is important. Knowing your audience, plan your flow, create a strong hook, pain point, solution, call to action, emphasize only five points. And when it comes to visual practices, make it simple, minimal. 80% visuals, 10% text, 10% graphs and other things. And make sure you're having a hierarchy, make sure you're having large font, use high quality images, create some kind of interactive engaging polls and questions. It's all super. But when it comes to practice, you will have to choose somebody who can able to help you. If you're not having any friends, talk to your mentors and accountability partners. If you don't have them, at least go and use a tool called Yoodly AI yvo DLI AI. I'll paste the link. Also in the description you can able to click on watch out there, okay? And also if you want to claim my AI tools for this, you can also click that link to register for you to get this AI tool delivered in your inbox. Guys. Okay, we have created a free link also you can able to do that. Third is very important. You will have to do a role play with the AI models or maybe your friends or accountability. One time, two time, three times. You will have to make it at least like let's say 20 or 30 times until it becomes perfectly locked as a habit for you. Don't think much. You will have to just do it, okay? The moment when you're able to do it, you will see improvement happening. I did it a live session in my community, guys, in the YouTube live, you can go and watch the Day 40 where I showed two or three of my students to make them present their work in a very short span of time. And then I've corrected and reiterated it. You can see first time how people have mumbled, fumbled, nervous and the third or fourth time they are more confident. Imagine if you're doing it for the 20 times, what happens? It becomes second nature for you. Okay, I cannot practically do a demonstration here, but I can able to tell you if you're able to present your projects with a very clear, precise hook, like let's say sir, my project has improved three times better conversion rates. Sir, my project has improved. People engage in this financial application 10 times more than earlier 1 Sir, my project has improved this much of people. And then I followed this process and then I wanted an interview chance with you to talk more about it. See, I've already covered the hook, the pain point, the solution and the call to action. What is hook here? Sir, this much of people have improved compared to your earlier solution. Right? I talked about the hook like let's say your project could be time management app or anything. Okay, you can see sir, using this app people can save one hour per day. Right? That's a hook. And what is the solution? This particular problem is using the Pomodoro technique or a time management technique where people will be driven based on games and points so that they can able to improve their time management skills. And the process what I used is design double diamond thinking process. And then I've used what you call crazy 8 ideation technique in order to bring more solution. And finally I wanted to ask you if I can able to show the project in a zoom call with you or the interview call that would be much easier for me. See that? Can I talk to your design lead about this? Can I talk about more in the in the project interview when I have with you? See, you have to give a call to action at the end. The people sometimes forget the call to action. They only explain project, project, project. No, ultimately why we are doing this is to attract a lot of people, interview calls and other things. Right? If you're ideally doing it for the internal stakeholders presentation all these things, then give the call to action accordingly. Okay, so make sure you follow this element guys. And I'm telling you, you will be able to create much more stunning visual presentation as well as engage the content more faster. Okay, now I'm going to list the AI tools.
