Foreign what people attend in design goes into failure and people don't know why they are failing. In spite of having project case studies, in spite of having an excellent portfolio website behance anything, people are still failing. In this podcast I am going to tell you very, very, very shortly and powerfully what is the reason why people are failing and how we can able to improve it through NLP techniques which is Neuro linguistic programming techniques. Okay, let's jump into this podcast. 70% of the recruiters are more attractive to the candidates who talk about their failures. 55% of your hiring process and decision comes from the failures and the learnings what you had in your design journey. So what does this really tell you? This means while you're talking in the interview, whether it's a design interview or any other interview, it is very vital to talk about your weakness, your failures, your learnings over the point of time because that is going to determine what is your learning curve and how did you learn it. Because people will be more interested to see like what you have really learned and what you've implemented. Because if you can exhibit the same quality while during their problem solving ability, they will be able to get more convinced to share their problem statement a brief with you instead. If you talk about I did this, I did that, my project is this, that that is okay. But the point is they will not remember you for a lot of time. According to Neuro linguistic programming method, if you rephrase the question what people are asking you and then if you're able to try to answer your learnings and failures and struggles as a pivotal point, your answers will be retained much lot faster. So in your projects, whatever the recent projects, what you had try to take out one failure, try to take out one struggle. Definitely you should have had a lot of struggles in your project going forward, right? So take out that carefully and try to rephrase it like a story, put it into an introduction, put it into your format. You can say hi, I'm Jagdish, I'm so and so I'm coming and working from here. I did a recent project on medical device which has a very big problem in the company which I were able to solve the problem and now this device is used by millions of people for this. The struggle what we had during the process of developing this product is we did not had the benchmark study at all. There is no competitor in this entire world for this product. So what we did is we struggled a lot to find out how we can able to start this device and then we found out we got inspired from the nature and we designed this device according to a biomimicry principle. And that's how we were able to come up with a very novel solution today. This is the one product in the world which solves this problem. Would you like to talk more about it Mr. Interviewer? So the moment when you talk like this, a struggle, a failure and then a flipping point. Even if people interview hundred people, they will still remember your answer because you have used a neuro linguistic principle. The second you can able to understand one thing before talking in an interview. Intention is very important. Yeah, you have a very good introduction, you have a very good communication skill, you have a very good project knowledge, you have a very good case study. Technical everything is there. But 55 to 60% of your interview hiring decision comes from your non verbal communication. Only 6 to 7 percentage come from your verbal communication. What does that mean? Talking English, talking Hindi, talking any other language in interview is insignificant. Only your body language matters a lot. Your non verbal communication matters a lot. Are you sitting straight? Are you looking closely in your eye to eye and contacting? Are you using some hand gestures to talk clearly? Are you confident? Are you bold? So this is a non verbal cues people tend to see in the interview. Whether it's a zoom call interview or a physical, people get to do that. See guys, if you're attending without the camera then there is no point in attending. People will not connect with you even if you go into a job. That will be a very substandard level of job. Think about it, okay? And also it is very evident that when you attend with this kind of intention to help others to help business solve their problem using your skill set, the way in which you present a project will be very different. The same project if two people are explaining. But if you had that intention, clear that I want to help this business by using my skills to solve their problem. Irrespective of whatever pay they are giving, I'm going to help them. If you had that intention very clear from the day one, your answers will be much different than the other people answer and that will make you lasting impact. Try to listen to this podcast. I've given you two powerful principles in NLP so that you can able to retrieve it. But the only hack what I'm going to close this podcast is it will only get mastered when you practice it again and again and again and again and again. If you want to see a live demo in the YouTube I did with one of my student in the interview you can go to my YouTube live channel and you can watch the today's recording in that I have taken one student and I've explained to them how we can able to improve it. And he did it four, five times and then he was making it little perfect. Imagine if he do this for 10 or 15 times, he will become even more perfect. So learning this hack or learning this technique on NLP will not make any sense until you go and practice it again and again and again until it locks. So the activity what I would like you to give is take your last three projects, take your last three struggles, what you had in each of this project. Try to prepare a very good self introduction blending that failure, blending that struggle and then try to practice it at least 50 to 100 times and then go and pitch in the interview, LinkedIn or something for the people who may are interacting with you and talk to them in that manner. You will see results happening, you will see magic happening. People will be offering you jobs. Okay, let me know in this podcast what did you learn from it? Thank you so much guys.
