When it comes to creative field, people really get lot of burnouts as well as they get very much exhausted not knowing exactly what to do, right? So if you ask them like, hey, how do you really loosen yourself? They'll say, hey, on the moment, whatever I feel, I'll do it, it's fine. But let me tell you, here are some methods which I've been doing it for the past 8.5 years in all of my career, and I have seen people who have trusted this particular methods and got results. And I've seen people who have really chosen that way of doing and I really copied that and got results. This particular podcast is going to give you why loosening is very important first and how it can help you rejuvenate to become even more creative designer. Okay, so take a lot of notes. Let's jump into this podcast. Welcome, welcome, welcome to this Design for Change. Thank you for staying tuning in with me. Very excited to meet you in another episode. Sorry to hear you in another episode. And also if you are really excited about this podcast, you can write down what do you think about this podcast in a very honest way. Okay. If you feel anything to be added, if you need to give a feedback or if you wanted to give something like hey Jagdish, can you correct this? Can you add this? I would be more than happy to help you. And if I find your feedback is really valuable for me, in fact, I want to share a very surprising gift with you. That's why I've given in the podcast description, because I believe podcast should not be only one way it should be, it should be from the other end also. Okay, I welcome the feedback from you and sometimes I really give topics and statistics and data which can even really hit your ego or maybe change your misconception or maybe to really challenge your belief, whatever you had so far. So it's fine. Somebody needs to really tell you and you will have to be awakened with something, right? So I believe that communication is really important and thank you so much again for that. And we are touching 20 countries and I'm happy for the overwhelming support what you guys have been giving. And please post lot of pain points as well. I'll be doing my research to help you out to put it in a very simple way. Okay, so my podcast is very point shooter style and to the point like 10 to 15 minutes average. You can listen it out and if you want you can listen in 1.5x speed as well so that you can learn on the go because the more productive you are the better you'll be able to deliver. Because you don't have to spend much time. You can listen to this podcast on traveling and all these things, right? So yes. So now let's go into how do I really loosen myself? And how you can learn from me so that you can also revitalize yourself. Because a lot of times what is when you're in a stressful times, people really don't get. Well, people make a very unproductive output in the name of time constraint and a lot of pressure in the projects. People deliver a substandard work, right? Let me tell you why it is important to take a break the moment when you start cluttering. Stop cluttering. More ideas and more thoughts in your brain. What happens is you will feel more fresh. Because every time thought comes, every time idea comes, every time people give you inputs. So you need to stop that. You need to give a pass for that. Journal of Applied Psychology have shown that incorporating a short breaks during a day not only increases your productivity, but also increases your job satisfaction. It's really important guys, to give that break. Then you will see you'll becoming 2x3x more productive. People don't understand this. What they do is without break. I wanted to become this, I wanted to add more, I want to do this. That what happens is finally you will not do anything. In fact, you will product. You will make a negative impact on your work. That is why it's very important to really rejuvenate yourself by giving a breaks or whatever and then you can do so. There are a lot of ways to rejuvenate. The very first way I would say is. I mean, I'm saying my way, but definitely you can have your own way also. Okay, So I take normally good herbal teas, okay? I take Herbalife Air Fresh, which is a very good tea, which I've been drinking for last seven to eight years. And I mean my entire family takes it. It's a very good antioxidant. You can choose any antioxidant teas, whichever is convenient. Like some people take green tea, some people take any other herbal teas, that's totally fine. But as a creative professional, I'll tell you guys, this particular intensive work and everything, you get into lot of fatigue and all these things, right? So you can just take a juice, you can take a tea, you can take a good antioxidants because it keeps your brain alert, it doesn't allow you to sleep. You feel very active throughout the day and when you are exhausted in your work in the full day you will feel very sleepy in the night. The more you sleep, the quality of the sleep you make more deeper, the faster you will wake up in the next day morning. See how it's impacted your entire day. You will get a see what happens. When you work exhaustively, you feel so good and then you feel very deep to sleep, right? Because it's all connected. If you're not worked enough, you will not sleep that tight because there is some energy which is left in your day which needs to be spent. So when you're exhausted and then you go and take a break and then you sleep definitely you will come back tomorrow with a greater freshness and you will wake up early in the morning. Average I wake up at 4:30 to 5 in the morning. It's because of this reason. So plan it out properly and your entire, what you call this the rhythm cycle of your sleep will get streamlined and regulated properly. Because it's very important for creative designers, antioxidants really play a crucial role in maintaining that alertness and focus. So it's really important to power up your brain always. Okay. The second way I break up and take a thing is I take a short walking. Even though if I am in office I just go for a canteen, I just go up and down. I don't take lift, I just walk. So you know what? Sitting is a new smoking. Guys. You will not understand this. You will take it very easily. There are a lot of implications which happening when it comes to cardiovascular disease, diabetes, even mortality is very high for the people who sit for a lot of time, more than 45 minutes if you sit, it's going to be a big problem for you. The Annals of Internal Medicine underscores the health risk of sitting and they've emphasized the importance of physical activity. It's just a giving a break guys. It's like it's a life extending strategy. In fact I would say they have really told this. Okay, so you can do. There are a lot of studies which has really proven this methodologies as well. So it's up to you to take it out in in that particular way. It reduces your risk of cardiovascular diseases. It decreases your type 2 diabetes. Journal of American College of Cardiology shows that increased sitting is giving that negative impact. And why don't you change this? It impacts your mortality. It is linking directly to your obesity, guys. World Health Organization shows lack of physical activity is a key factor for weight gain. So it impacts your mental health. American Journal of Preventive Medicine 2017 shown that significant association is There between sedentary behavior and increased risk of depression. So if you are listening to this podcast, just stand up and just walk. Okay, so the third important way I'll break myself is weekend vacations. I spend time with my family, with my kid, with my wife, with my family and then just bully them or maybe just make some fun or engage in some conversation. That's totally up to you. Many people like that. Many people don't like that. They have their own method. So family time is really good, guys. Everything what you do is for your family, okay? So it's a game changer. It will bring you back a lot of energy. A journal of marriage and family suggests that spending quality time with your family reduces stress. It increases happiness. So what happens if you're really happy when you go back to Monday? You'll feel so energetic and rejuvenated and that adds a lot of spark to your creative mind, guys. So find that balance and fuel work and both things. Okay? So the fourth important way I break is I go to a very different travel. I break what normally people do in Saturday, Sunday, they sleep late, they eat non veg, they eat too much, they are very sedentary, they watch Netflix Prime. You know what? I do something very different. What I don't even do for the last 30 days. Last week I went for a walk. Okay? I went for a walk, which is for a. It's a special walk organized by child Welfare Act. They are bringing back the women child rights back from the society and they wanted to really appreciate those women child. Okay? So a lot of bad things are happening and lot of small girls, you know, aging from 10 to 15, they've demonstrated the art of. There is a art called Silambattam. Okay, this art, I really forgot the name. Exactly. Which is like Sylmbam. Yeah, Sylmbam is like you have two sticks in your hand, which is equivalent to your height and then you rotate it to protect you and then you beat your opponents with that. It's an art. It's a. It's equivalent to martial art. And people have really forged a lot of skills in that and people have learned lot, many things in that. So I, I went to see that event and that was totally very different for me. It's a two or three hours event. I almost met five to six different, new people with new, different thought process, new belief system. And I met a lot of different people and I mean a lot of people who danced, played music, did exercise, did this, that walk. So that's a very different thought process, you get to see your horizons getting expanded. Particularly if you are a designer. You need that there are simultaneous benefit guys. First of all, you are breaking away from the conventional. You are feeling really good about that. Your self esteem goes up. Second is you tend to see and solve problems in a different way when you meet the different, different people and circumstances. See, I'm a very smart guy, guys, because I spend time to even relax myself and then to come back and put more energetic thing in it. Because people, when they ask no, they say I do randomly something. I mean it takes a lot of time to get you back on track. When you take a completely, I mean if it is needed, you can take that break. But I would say your break should be also very productively, partly planned so that it is like making you very energized and revitalized so that you come back. Okay? So don't be hard on yourself. Just let yourself allow and feel free to do whatever you want. But have these things in mind because many times what people have a problem is they get in off track and it takes months for them to get on track to do some activity when they are practicing some creative skills and all. Okay, so that mean when you're learning something new, when you're exciting, when you're excited to learn something new, and continuously when you're engaged in something adventurous, you tend to be more disciplined. And when you are going back to work on Monday, Tuesday, you become a more productive person instead of just routinely working from Monday to Sunday. That's not the thing. Okay, so the fifth way I break is I just watch motivational videos. I read a lot of books in motivational videos because that is the moment I get really refreshed. A Journal of Experimental Social Psychology supports this approach. You know, revealing that exposure to motivational stimuli increases your effort, your persistence in the task. It's not only about zoning out, it's about putting that particular energy in it. So yeah, I'm not a person who normally watches Netflix prime this, that YouTube, binge watch. I don't have Instagram in my phone. I don't use this shots. I don't use Facebook, I don't use, I mean I use very, very, very effectively WhatsApp for very productive communication. But yeah, I myself engage in an entertainment way so that it gives me more benefit also so that I spend the time very wisely and come back for it. So it's up to you. You don't have to really follow the strict methods or anything which is totally free for yourself. But this is the way in which I do it. Okay, so we have discussed some statistics and we have discussed some important thing and let me close this podcast with a very important word. Guys, you need to get this. People don't really understand this. You know, people who really wanted a freedom lifestyle. You need to be more disciplined. Freedom comes with discipline. My mentor used to always say Siddharth Rajshekar, because you need to get this clarity. Freedom is not just free. You just randomly roam around and your life will be screwed up. You will get into more problems, you will get more depths, you will get more relationship problem. This, that when you are disciplined, like let's say if you are waking up at a time, let's say if you are spending some time with your family, if you are delivering your work on time, proactively, you know what? You will enjoy more freedom. The more disciplined you are, the more freedom you will get. It's contrary, right? Yes. Guys, it took me three to four months to understand this simple word. Yeah, you can understand the statement, but internalizing and realizing take lot of moments because if you are very friend, randomly oriented, you will not feel really good about it. But if you are very disciplined, you will feel lot of things to do in a more controlled way. Because freedom comes with the discipline. That's what Mahatma Gandhi Ji also did this and we got a freedom in this. So it's not. Breaks are not luxury, guys. They're necessary. But you need to really experiment with these strategies before what works to you. Okay? So thank you so much guys for staying tuning in this podcast. I hope I love to listen to you in this podcast. Comments and I'm really interested if you're coming forward to join my mentorship program because right now the new batch enrollment is going on.
