95 Percentage of your success or failure comes with habits. Why it is really important to build a habit, right? People, they say old habits die hard. When you practice something for 21 days, it becomes a habit. People tell a lot of things and I'll tell you one thing, sometimes you plan, okay, this year is going to be a great year. I wanted to earn this much. I wanted to become this person. I want to become healthy. I want to wake up at five o'. Clock. I wanted to do this sports. I wanted to spend time with my people. I wanted to do this. That right? Is it really happening? You do it for one day, you do it for five days, you do it for 10 days and then you leave it. You join a gym, you pay a subscription for a year, you leave it, right? And then you, you start over again and then over and over again and then you get completely frustrated. It's because you have not understood what is mean by habit. Maybe if you're understanding in a surface level, but you don't know how to implement it. I'm going to be telling you 20 million dollar habits. What a designer needs to have to lead a very good higher level consciousness of life. Okay, so take a lot of notes and surprisingly I'm going to be sharing you the implementable steps, the seven magical implementation of the steps for implementing your habit. So it's not a just hearing podcast, it's an action oriented podcast. Take a lot of notes. Let's jump into this topic foreign for change. Thank you for staying tuning in with me. I'm really happy the overwhelming support what I've been getting and today guys, I'm going to be addressing you one of the major, major important element which you need to learn as a designer. You might think this is an offbeat topic and this is coming from me. That's okay guys. I've learnt it. Spending lots of money and time with my mentors who have practiced this for years and they've got results. You know what it's called Million Dollar Habits. In fact, there is a book written by Brian Tracy called Million Dollar Habits. You can definitely go and read in it to understand the science behind it. In this podcast I'm going to be giving you what a creative person needs to have as a successful winner in the career. Okay, so out of this 20 habits, I'm going to be splitting this into three categories, guys. One is improving your mental well being habits for that and physical well being and the habits regarding to that and then the spiritual well being. See these three are connected to become A person and to lead a very higher quality of life, right? When you go to a place called Auroville Pondicherry, like I've stayed there for two years, I've learned from the Auroville plays like the mother, so called mother and Aurobindo. So they said if you really wanted to live a very higher purpose of life, very high level of happiness, high level of purpose and meaningfulness and everything you need to take care of your physical, spiritual as well as your mental well being. I've learned from there. Previously I was only focusing on what you call mental health or it was too much on only physical exercise. Doing, doing, doing, keeping those six packs, this, that. But let me tell you guys, it's all about connecting these three things. Spiritual, physical and mental. If you go hand in hand and understand this health, wealth and happiness, your life will become a very, very successful as you. Even you don't think this is a real level of success. But when you implement these things, you will see a surge of rise in your happiness and the fulfillment and the satisfaction which you lead a life which you will be really regretting. Oh my God. I didn't know these things really existed. I thought this is the happiness. I thought earning 1 lakh is happiness. I thought coming to this ideal weight is happiness. I thought spending time with my family is happiness. No, you will find everything is connected and it all happens because of habits. So I already told you, people really take some impulsive decision, but they drop it, right? So in this podcast, wait till the end, I'll be telling you seven magical steps for implementation also. So first let me start with the mental habits. What you can develop as a creative person. The very first habit which you will have to develop is being a person who can talk and engage with others. Try to be more of like an extrovert person. See, don't tag it like extrovert, introvert, this, that and all. Try to talk with as many as people as possible. I'll tell you why. There are three reasons for it. One is you can first be exposed to that so that you get to see what others are telling. Second is you can develop the perspective of what others are saying. Because being a designer, it's very important to develop that you can't isolate yourself and live a world. Third is you'll break away your shy when you go and deliberately talk to people. This is a very important habit which you will have to develop. Choose one or two people whom you feel very difficult to talk with and do it next day. If you're Listening today, or if you're listening in the morning, today in the office, go and talk to that person deliberately. Because if you practice it continuously for 21 days to 48 days, it will become a very strong habit pattern to you. Okay? This is an action point. The second important habit which you can develop in mental well being is having the openness to use your brain in a very constructive way. Okay? A lot of people, you know what, they come from a very different background. They have some existing knowledge available and they tend to find some existing solution which is also good for solving a problem in that particular creative field. Okay? What they do is they don't use their mind at all. They just follow process, process, process, and they just become very rigid towards making the solution because the customer will be sitting on the head, the timeline will be crushing, the budgets will not be there. You'll have to complete the project, right? So you need to really know when to switch on your mind, when to switch off your mind, when to be very creative, when to stop, when to flow. If you develop that particular habit, like let's say deliberately, you need to take the decision then and only that habit will form in you. See a lot of people for hearing this sounds very easy and interesting, right? Let me tell you, if you choose a particular problem which you are trying to solve, use this particular strategy. I need to switch on my mind for a particular time to think creatively on this. Then I need to switch off my mind. I need to think about timeline, how I can able to better do it. Then you need to switch on your mind how I can make it cost constrained. Then you have to think one more time how I can make it in a minimal way. See guys, it's all about your mindset. Everything you cannot confuse at a time. Sometimes this is what Edward Bono call has six hats of different thinking. Okay? So you can wear those particular hat and switch on your, switch off your mind. This is a very, very good exercise. And he does it with the colorful hats. But you can do on your own. Even you can have your color papers in front of you to just choose it out. If you deliberately do it for your project as an action point, you will see a difference. Guys, the third important habit, which I'll tell you, it's going to be a massive, massive habit, is every single day reading something or listening to something or learning something new. My mentor usually always tells guys, if you take a subject and if you read one hour every single day for one year or maximum next two years, you will become a master at this subject, if you do it continuously for three years, you will get equivalent to two PhD in this subject. If you do it consistently for five years, you will become a national celebrity in the subject. If you do it for seven years, consistently, every single day, one hour, you will become an international celebrity. And cnn, IBN and all these magazines and all this media will be waiting at your compound wall to ask your feedback regarding that field. Yes guys, this is true. Because if you are a designer, that is the biggest limelight which one can really expect or really dream of, or one can really make that systemic changes or a big level changes. What a designer can really impact through skills. Hey Jagdish, seven years is too long. Can I tell you something guys? Any which way seven years is going to go whether you like it or not, right? How old are you? Maybe 25, 20. You'll be 27 at some time, right? So why don't you invest this one hour? You will become a different person, right? In seven years. So people don't understand this compounding effect. This is the eighth wonder of this world. Albert Einstein calls every day. One hour, one hour, one hour, 365 hours and you'll be completing three years, five years, seven years. Imagine the kind of profoundness what you'll have. You will earn 100x of what you're earning now. You will earn 100x of a different popularity and the impact what you can do as a designer. It's a very, very powerful habit. Choose 21 days, pick a book favorite, rate it guys. That's the only thing. Okay, the fourth important thing is try to have a habit of documentation. See, documentation could be writing down in your diary, maybe taking pictures or videos, or maybe recording voice notes. Or maybe I'm recording this podcast. This is my big hobby and passion. I wanted to help designers. I wanted to share my knowledge to different, different countries. And right now we are in 20 countries. This is an exceptional growth. What I found in this three months, in this podcast which I've started and in the previous podcast, I told you it's 20, but sorry guys, it was only 18. But right now it is 20. Okay, so two countries have been added and 5,000 plus impressions are happening. So it need not have to be always recordings, podcast, this, that and all. You can even write a blog. You can even write it in your diary. You can even take pictures, you can even have a digital way. But that's not a problem. If you are a designer. You need to build a habit of documentation. I'll tell you why it Helps you really recollect and come back to get more inspiration. It helps you really in terms of retrospecting yourself being a designer and what mistakes you are doing and what it can improve. And what is the. What do you call? What are the things which you missed earlier? It's a recollection material. Also, because normally design is a very abstractive field, people tend to lose the track. This is a very important habit. Fifth important habit is think alternative way. Whenever you see a problem, whenever you see a particular solution, or whenever you see anything, give a deliberate thought to think it an alternate way. Like let's say if you're using a mobile, you can say why don't you always use mobile? Can we use something else for telecommunication? If you're using glass to drink water, why don't the glass always look cylindrical? Why don't it be different? See guys, I'll tell you. This is a very very good million dollar habit. Every single time when you see a problem, don't think like a conventional people. Deliberately break that pattern and think alternately, why not this? Why don't we always right cycle? Why don't we design something different for transportation? If you deliberate this kind of a thing, when you see the next problem or when you see the next project for that continuous 21 days, when you ask, ask, ask, ask, ask, keep a reminders in your phone or whatever and do it, you will see a huge results in this particular habit. Because this is a beautiful habit which you can build guys. Okay, the sixth important habit which you can build as a designer is try to find patterns in your work. People don't do it. A lot of designers really miss this point. Can I tell you if you are really a good designer? If you want to become a very, very holistic broad designer, you need to develop the habit of finding patterns. Next time when you go and see a project or a report or a documentation, try to observe closely than you ever did before. You will definitely see some patterns. Like let's say if your customer is saying hey, I don't like this product. Hey, I like when the buttons are something like this. Hey, I like this product. If the handles are designed properly. If this product is in red color, I like it. Listen to it. Take a pause on a moment to see the pattern. This guy is saying he likes red, he likes handle to be in this way. What does the thought which is making him say that? This. Okay, he must have seen some competitor which is red color which is having this handle. Oh, then let's try to benchmark our Competitor. See, if you directly raw take this input from the customer and you're not finding the pattern. And if out of the 10 participants, seven of them are saying this, you can find the pattern inside in it. In fact, you can change the red color instead of that to green in order to capture more interest so that you get more customers, so that you get a limelight, so that the customer really differentiates the product from their competitors, so that you win the market, so it could be used in the other way. Also, guys, you need to get this clarity, see, so how it is going to be helpful is when you implement it and when you come to know, okay, this is what the customers are saying. This is what is the hidden pattern. When you're reading a journal, when you're reading a research, when you're going through a primary, secondary research, it's very important to find that pattern. Okay, this is the sixth habit. The seventh important habit is you need to be an excellent guy in time management. I'll tell you two techniques how you can manage time. First of all, write down what you wanted to accomplish in a day, every single day. Second is prioritize and sequences. Okay, first, follow the priority, which is the first priority. If I am not doing this, I will be out of my job. That's the first priority. Second priority is, okay, I have to do it, but not now. I have to do it in the evening, I have to do it tomorrow. That's the thing. Okay, third priority. Okay, if I am doing good, it should be good. Maybe somebody else can also do. But if I am doing good, if I am doing this, it will be good, but somebody else can also do, then that is third priority. Fourth priority is you don't need to do at all. You can delegate it, you can outsource it. So prioritize this and sequence it. Once you made the priority, then think about which to go first in that particular task, which to go second in that particular task. Third, fourth, fifth. If you plan it out, you will have a better time management guys. See, don't read much about time management and all I have entirely made it as a very single point. Take a paper, think for a minute. In the morning when you start a day, list down the activities which you wanted to do. Select the biggest priority, activity one and two, and start sequencing it. The only thumb rule is complete the priority one and then go for two. Lot of people get tempted. They want to send an email. They wanted to talk to this person. They wanted to book some, what you call shopping in Amazon. That and all Third priority activities, right? You need to prioritize this and don't get tempted for small, small activities. Priority one, two, sequence it. Do it every single day. When you start writing, guys, you will have 25 percentage of your time saved in a day. So you will go office easily early. You will find yourself more productive and you will have lot of energy. Guys, let me tell you, I practiced this. My mentor told me and taught me this. You can read a book called Eat that frog. Beautiful book. Best time management book in the entire universe. You don't need to read anything. That's the one and only book I would suggest you, you can read that and if you are able to follow that, you will find yourself very productive. And in fact that book itself will tell you a lot of habit implementation techniques of being a time manager. Okay, you can follow this list method. 8th important habit is calmness. Every single day we get 60,000 different thought. Guys, you need to understand this because we are cluttered with lot of distractions, lot of things coming in our way. People do talk. We see our Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp, distraction, talking people, family pressure, financial pressure, everything, right? If you really calm yourself for just 30 minutes, think nothing. You don't have to just think anything. You can just calm down. That will itself will make you more productive every single day. When you wake up in the morning, please practice this at least for a minimum of 15 minutes. Okay? It's a good habit. The ninth important habit which I have to tell you is meditation. See in this, in this particular podcast, I'll be giving you my technique of meditation. But you can choose your own meditation. Any meditation is good. Then nothing. Choose your own method. I usually follow Vipassana method. It's a very good method. It's a 10 minutes you can spend in your day or you can spend 30 minutes in your day. Even if you want, you can spend one hour. That's totally good. I mean there were some times I used to practice two hours of meditation, 100 hours to two hours every single day. I used to be a very, very distracted person. But after doing that I really got like I would say 10x productive. I totally become a different person. People around me started telling me you become very different. That's the way I came to know that I have been changed. It's a wonderful tool which will work, but point is you will have to practice it every single day. Keep in mind and whatever method you wanted to remind it, do it and practice it. Wait till the last of the podcast because I'm going to Be telling you the implementation step. Lot of people know this habit, but they don't know how to implement it. Okay, so listen, wait for it. Definitely this podcast is going along, but this is going to change your life, guys. This is going to really have a greater impact in your career. That is the reason I'm taking some more time to record. Because this 20 habits is million dollar habits. It's not just some audio. You listen and then you throw your thing and you get back to your normal and then you become normal. No. Okay, so the ninth is practicing meditation. The tenth important aspect which you have to develop is save 10 percentage of your money. Whatever you earn, whatever you're going to earn, give 10 percentage to your charity. Start from 1 percentage and go up to 10 percentage. Okay, so 10 percentage. If you're saving, you should never touch that. Even if you're on the deathbed, you should not touch that. Okay? Have your medical insurance policy, everything cleared in emergency and other things. But 10 percentage should be 10 percentage every single day. Because the better you are able to handle the money financially you will be very, very free and you will think more clearly. This one single habit will make you enable more productive and creative and manage your every single day. Because when you marry, when you go along with your life, when you start earning more money, you will have multiple problems. When you earn, 1 lakh also problem will be there. When you earn 5 lakh also problem will be there. It's not about earning money, it's about managing money. Okay, simple technique. 10% save it, 10% give to charity. Because the more you give charity, the more you will get back. Don't have the thought that you will get something but mindlessly give it. Definitely. Universe works by giving more. Nature gives you a lot, right? So you need to give more. Same principle you have to apply when it comes to money. Definitely you will not go in any loss, guys. Okay? Trust me, I'm doing this. That's why I'm telling you. This is all about the mental habits. Let me repeat you, you need to be more open person. Like an extrovert. You need to switch on off your mind. Try to do a deliberate switch on. Like a 6 habit of Edward Bono thinking in your problem statement. That's the second habit. The third habit is reading book every single hour, every single day, one hour. You can listen in audio podcast, you can listen in audible books, you can listen in YouTube, you can read a physical book, that's okay, but read one hour. Fourth is document your work in your biographies like a photograph or Maybe a textbook or a diary or picture blog, anything. Fifth is think alternate. Think what normal people don't think deliberately do that action for 21 days and form. This sixth habit is trying to find a pattern, trying to find a hidden pattern, being a designer, because this is very, very important. And seventh important particular element is managing your time, taking a list, writing down priorities, doing it in a sequential way. Completing the priority one and then going to the priority two will help you save 25% of your daytime. And then you become so energetic till the end of the day. Okay? The eighth important habit is being calm. Sitting in a solitude for 15 to 30 minutes calms you down because more creative ideas will come and you will connect your intuition with the creative idea. Particularly if you are solving a problem. And if you pause this particular problem, solving what you call meeting, and then you 15 minutes calm down yourself and then you go back, you will see a surge of creative ideas coming. Because I have seen this, I have did this and I told my students, you can try this. And the ninth important thing is doing meditation, any mindfulness practice for 10 to 15 minutes or 30 minutes a day. And the tenth important thing is having a financial knowledge of saving money and giving charity so that you become a great person. This is all about the mental habits. Okay, let's go into the physical habits. If you really want to be a successful creative Designer, the very first thing is you will have to wake up at 4:30 or maximum 5am in the morning. You should not feel bad about it. There are profounding and ripple effects which is there, guys, when you wake up at morning, the more early you wake up, the better your digestion system works. The more early you wake up, you will find more time. The more, the early you wake up, you will find your things like you have a lot of time in your day so that you can accomplish as much as possible. The more earlier you wake, the better you will able to complete all your tasks so that your body gets completely exhausted and you sleep very, very deeply at the night. Because sleep is very important. A lot of people have a very disturbed sleep because they don't wake up early. They don't sleep early. That's a big problem. Okay, see how by waking early you get to see all of these things in a rifle effect. If you wake up early, you will have no distractions to do your very high priority task like reading or improving yourself or doing physical fitness or anything. If you wake up early, definitely guys, you will not do anything really bad which is injuring your body or harming your body. I don't think people are waking at 4:30 is going to drink or maybe smoke or spoil their intestines or their lungs using some bad injurious habit, right? So my mentor usually say that people who really wake up at 4:30 to 5 for one year continuously, they get 45 days extra. For every people it's 365 days. But for you it's 415. So it's all about how you really. 410 days, okay? It's all about how you change your perception. Everything is in front of you. All you need is an accountability to do it, right? So the 12th important habit which you will have to do is fitness. Every single day. Practice fitness from 25 minutes to 45 minutes at least five days a week. You don't have to do six, seven days a week. Choose any gym or maybe yoga or any kind of walking, cycling, jogging. No problem guys, just do it, okay? If you don't know anything, just walk. That's it, for 30 minutes. Or maybe if you have a smart watch, you can track 10,000 steps. That's good. You can start your fitness. Okay? 13th important habit is deliberately join a sport. It could be a small sport or big sport or maybe if you're very passionate. People love playing badminton or basketball or cricket or judo or they wanted to learn self defense. Particularly for women. I would suggest please learn self defense, right? First of all, you can protect yourself. So every time police, military and what you call your father or your brother will not be around to save you. Sometimes you will have to defense yourself. So learn that sport. I'll tell you what happens. People who do lot of sports are more creative. People who do lot of sports are very clear in their thinking. People who do lot of sports are really hard working people. People who do a lot of sports are better and more genius in working and solving their problems to become creative. They are really good in maths, good in science understanding and they perform really good. I've seen lot of people seeing successful if they choose a sport and practice it, okay? It's nothing like you are become old. You should not join Even if you're 55, 60 age, join some sport. There are a lot of online sports, there are a lot of offline sport. Whichever is convenient, do it. But anything is better than nothing. So choose anything, okay? So the 14th important habit is eat a balanced diet. People say eat healthy. Eat healthy. What is this eat healthy? Nobody gives you a specific feedback or maybe an information. What does mean by eating healthy? I Tell you guys, if you are a 155 centimeter guy or if you are a 165 centimeter women, you need to be 65 kilograms in weight. That's it. That's called your ideal weight. Okay? Minus that 100 from you Listen to it one more time. Go back. If you're 165mm in height, sorry centimeter in height, you have to minus this. 165 should be your ideal weight. You can be little 2kg less than this ideal weight like 63 or 62. But you should not be more than that. Okay? Try to maintain that. And what is mean by balanced eating habit is your meal should contain protein, 45 to 50% carbohydrates, 15 percentage fiber, 15 to 20 percentage multivitamins, 15 to 20 percentage and other protein or zinc or any other calcium, this, that, 5 to 10 percentage. If you try to balance this, you will lead a very, very high quality life for even up to 100 to 120 years. Trust me guys, every single day you need to follow. It's not like only one time I lead, then I'll expect everything. It's not g boomba magic and all. You have to do it consistently. I told you, it's all about building that habit. And you become that person. It's a ripple effect. It's a compounding effect. Slowly, slowly, every single day. Try to cook more fiber, try to cook more proteins, try to cook less carbohydrates, try to take a lot of proteins. And if you're a vegetarian, you can eat soya, you can eat paneer, you can eat mushrooms, you can eat lot of aloos and dal. There are a lot of good proteins. Is there? If you're a non veg? Yeah. You can eat fish, chicken, mutton, whatever, right? So based on your preference, choose your proteins and choose fiber and choose carbohydrates and balance it out. If you're able to eat a balanced diet and be in ideal weight, I don't think you need doctor in your lifetime. Can I tell you something, guys? The wellness coach who taught me this particular habit, for the past 23.5 years, he has not taken a single tablet or injection. That's how I trusted him. That's how I learned from him. That's how I'm implementing it. And can I tell you something? For the last 2.5 years, I would say three years, I've taken only one tablet, which my mom forced. Since I didn't have a sleep for two, three days. She was very scared and she gave me deliberately. I was very skeptical about it. But yeah, just for her sake, I did it. But if you remove that three years full, I would say 3.5. I guess it's even more than that. No tablet, no injection, no nothing till now. And I will be there forever. Also, because I know exactly how to take care of myself every single day. Not just one day, not just two days. Understand this guys. Whatever I'm practicing, I have learned from the trusted people. I've seen their results, right? I mean, if I see my mentor, he has three grandchildren, okay? He will never seem like more than 40 years. He'll be like just 40. So that's the kind of lifestyle he is leading. And how come I will not follow that? I also admire and I also wanted that he is in the age of 62. I would want to become even more fitter and healthier at the age of 62. So age is just a number. Yes. I mean it. The 15th important habit which you will have to develop is dress well and groom well. If you are a man, try to have a proper haircut. Or if you are, if you wanted to shave, shave. If you wanted to keep a beard, trim it properly. Clean your beard properly. Dress well. Instead of buying 10 different shirts or T shirts, buy two high quality branded T shirts or shirts. Put that money same. You don't have to spend a lot of money. Instead of putting 2000 rupees to buy 10 T shirts or 5 T shirts for 2000 rupees, get 2 branded T shirts or shirts. You know what guys? When you put high quality clothes, you will be respecting yourself more. So that others will also respect you. Your self confidence, your self esteem goes high. You will be more, more energetic in a day. Because you want to showcase yourself. Let's say if your dress is torn or if your dress is not ironed properly or something, you'll not feel that much confident to go and talk in a stage or somewhere if you're given chance. So dress well. Please make sure you polish your shoes, you press your dresses properly and then you oil your hair. Or maybe if you're drying, comb it properly and then shave your. What you call. You can shave yourself fully or you can even trim your beard and make sure you have perfume if you are going outside. If you are cutting your nails, make sure it's neatly trimmed and cut. If you present yourself very well groomed, you will itself feel highly, highly motivated. Guys, if you're a woman, same thing applies. You can, if you want, you can dress as per the Attire, let's say if you're going for a professional meeting, if you're going for a casual meeting, if you're going for a formal meeting. So make sure you dress accordingly. And then you can cut your nails, you trim your hairs, whatever style you want. And then you put your, what you call basic. I mean too much of makeup is not really required, but I'm saying just a basic thing. And you can perfume yourself neatly so that the body deodorant doesn't really peep out. And make sure at least one or two days you bath. A lot of ladies I've seen because they have a long hair, the bathing process is really complicated. They don't really bath. Sometimes one or two days, they skip. That's really a bad habit. You know what? It will make you lazy. It will accumulate a lot of heat in you. You will get a lot of problems which is respect to frequent fevers, frequent cold. This is because of that. Every single day, please wash yourself, take a clear bath. I would say two times. Also you can bath okay. For men also I am saying. So this, this dressing well and grooming yourself is a very, very important habit if you want to become a highly creative and a productive and highly well being guy. Okay? So practice this particular thing. Next 21 days, try to be more smart. Try to be more looking smart. Like how? Let's say you take one element for the next 21 days, I'll wear superb shirts. Maybe you can start with that instead of telling entire thing. Maybe I'll go tomorrow and get a very good new shoe so that I'll polish it every single day. Maybe you are not polishing. I've seen in my office, in my school, colleges and all people wear shoes, but they don't have the habit of polishing at all. So these are all just immortal important things. Guys. Hey Jagdish, I thought you'll teach me some sketching habit too. That's fine guys. You can learn technical things. But whatever I'm telling you, habits will make you successful forever. Definitely. There are podcasts which I have recorded how you can improve your skills in terms of soft skills, hard skills and sketching and all these things. But this is more of making you as a person. It's very important. Okay? So dress well, make sure you're groomed enough so that you get a very good feel about yourself. And it will make you become that person over time. You don't have to deliberately put efforts automatically. You will be becoming that person over time. When you consistently do it, people will Respect you people will make you and you will also become that rich person or the highly impactful person, or the person you really wanted to be. Whatever you are imagining in your mind, you will become that person. One day you might be thinking, hey, I wanted to become this person later in my life. No, this will automatically happen when you start doing these habits deliberately in your way. Okay? And the other important habit which you will have to build as a spiritual thing. Let me recollect the physical habits, guys. Okay? Waking up early, doing fitness every single day or maybe four days a week, choosing a sport and practicing it, and having a balanced diet and dressing well and groomed well are the five different habits to improve your physical well being. Let's say if you want to improve your spiritual well being, which is a third line of the triangle which closes this whole thing, you have to love others. If you are a designer, you will be doing a lot of interviews, surveys, questions, talking to your managers, talking to your clients, talking to your subordinates, talking to your family, friends, everything, right? It's all about how you love others. Try to be genuinely open and show your love that I care for you, I appreciate you. If you're successful, I'm also more happy. If you're sad, I'll share whatever is your problem and I'll try to help. So love others and you will become more and more happier than before. Okay? The 17th important habit which you have to do is gratitude. See guys, it's very important to practice this habit. I've been previously I was taking very lightly. Can I tell you something? If you really are thankful to the things, whatever you got for the dress, whatever you're wearing, for the food, what you ate in the lunch or breakfast or dinner, for the very nice sleep, what you had last night for the very good lovingly wife, what you got for the very good parents, what you got for the very good boss of the company. Or even if you're earning 10,000, 5,000, 2,000, please be thankful. There are people who don't even have 2,000. There are people who don't even earn anything. There are people who beg in the roads. There are people who die without enjoying any of these things. So if you develop more gratitude, can I tell you something? You will get hundred times more. Okay, again, I'll tell you what is the point here, okay? A lot of people only appreciate when a good thing happens. Okay? Like let's say if you wanted a job of like, let's say 1 lakh or 2 lakh, when that happens, you're like hey thank God. Thank God. Thank you this person, thank you that person. And something really bad happens. Like let's say you're thrown out of the job, some recession is happening, AI is coming and you're out of the job. So you need to settle for a 25,000 job offer. Maybe a graphic designer or something. Then you will bitch this world. Then you will say every people is bs. This, that economy is bad, prime minister is not doing good, India is not doing good. This that political party. Gratitude is about thanking on both the times. Hey Ajaktish, how do I thank on the other side? Let me tell you guys, I've learned from this from my mentor who said you should have that mindset to tell gratitude for that bad moment also. Because when something bad happens, you try to learn something new skill. And then you try to upgrade yourself to get an even more better job in the future. If that would have not happened, you would have not become successful. And can I tell you even more a deeper thing. Whatever you're accomplished in your life, it's because of bad things what happened to you. Or else you would not be this person at all. Now think slowly. Whatever bad things happen in your life, it's all put together has propelled you till here. If only good thing is happening, I would say that person is in a great danger. Either he will go into depression or he'll suicide soon. Both things are definitely required. Because you need to understand the aspect and the duality of life. You need to be gratitude. I'll tell you one simple exercise how to practice gratitude. And if you wake up in the morning, think of two people whom you can thank for the next 21 days. And you can do the previous habit also. Loving others. Take one person, try to love them for 21 days. Deliberately wish them, greet them, have a call with them and just tell them, Hey, I really care for you. I really deeply. Let's say if your brother or maybe if your sister, you wanted to love them deeply more than you thought before. So just talk to them. Hey sister, I really care for you much. Hey brother, I really spelled the bad words last week and I really had a fight with you for the silly reason this that. But I really want to apologize. I wanted to really help you take care of you. Tell me what you need. Try to do it maybe for one day or two days. It will be very awkward. Your brother or sister will be skeptical. Why is this guy looking weird today? Why is he talking like this? Is he trying to create another scene or fight? No, if you do it consistently for 21 days for one person. And even you can tell gratitude for the same and for any other person whom you pick. Can I tell you something guys? Profounding effect will happen inside you. You will feel so wonderful. You will feel very light. You will feel a great grudge has left you so that you will feel wonderfully productive. And you know what guys, if you sit with this mindset and start designing or start thinking about a problem to become, to create some creative solution, 100% sure. I'm saying you will bring so much of creativity than you were before. Working in the same mindset before. If you created a design, it would not be that good. Because what happened is you really thrown away a lot of grudges out of you. This is called spiritual well being. You need to understand this. Okay, Jagdish, this is not sometimes working for you. I'll tell you one more habit, which is the 18th habit called affirmation. Every single day, try to practice affirmation. Like let's say if you wanted to really become a good looking person, that's your real worry. Whatever you're thinking every single day, wake up in the morning, write it down 10 times. I am a good looking guy. People are saying I'm a great looking guy. Like let's say if you are a, if you want to improve your communication English or if you want to look very creative designer in your industry. Okay, you wanted that to happen right? Now you are not that. Okay, every single day. Next 21 days you can take this as an action point. Write it down. I am the most creative person in my entire design studio, in my organization. Everybody is saying that. Yes, Write it down 10 times and say it. Say it. Now pass this podcast and think of what you wanted to say to yourself to become that person. And close your eyes and say it. Say it 10 times. Now do it this guys. Because if you're not taking action, nothing is changing for you. I already repeat this in my podcast. Okay, so let's say if you wanted to become a creative person. Yes, I wanted to become a creative person. I am the creative person. I'm the most creative person in my design department. I am the most creative person in my entire industry. Can I tell you something? You will become that person in that 21 days. If you believe yourself that this is happening for you externally, things will start changing outside you. I mean, it's a very big topic. I wanted to talk to you, but it's not required now. The more what you think inside, it becomes a reflection on your outside that's what is called affirmation. And the power of affirmation is really, really superb. The 19th important habit is always talk truth and be honest. Practice one person, maybe a friend or somebody you can take. Try to be very, very true to them for the next 21 days. Do it then maybe 30 days maybe if you are lying little bit to them. That's what I'm telling you to choose a person because you know you've been lying to that person for some reason. Apologize them and try to talk truth for the next 21 to 30 days. You will see lot of profounding effects happening in your life. Okay, so the 20th important habit. Let me tell you, this is the best of the best of the best of the best habit. Okay? And I mean I don't know whether you will really like this, but it's not about liking. This is the truth of life. You have to accept it. Can I tell you something guys? Love yourself. This is the 20th important habit. Hey Jagdish, what is this here? I thought you'll tell something very different. Even when I started learning this, I also really skeptical towards it. Can I tell you very very deeply. If you start loving yourself, you start attracting lot of abundance in your life. Like let's say you wanted to earn lot of money. If you wanted to earn lot of design fame. If you wanted to earn lot of design patents. Or if you wanted to start up a lot of industries. If you wanted to provide lot of employment. If you wanted to make an impact. If you want to really get that in abundance, love yourself. The biggest priority of the Maslow's hierarchy principle is the love. You can go and read Maslow. Okay, so people really work for food, money, shelter, right? If you cross all these things, you will work maybe for happiness of yourself. After that you satisfy yourself. After satisfying you find things to make you fulfill. That's what people do. Charity, this, that. And after fulfilling you will start giving love. You will start giving selfless love. You will start yourself loving. And you know what guys? Love is the one single thing. Even you can read Mother Teresa, you can read Mahatma Gandhi, you can read a lot of biographies. You can read spiritual books. You can read particularly Maslow's hierarchy principle. It's a beautiful book. Love yourself and it's the very very important thing. So how to do this Jagdish? I really don't know. Try to appreciate yourself for the good things. What has happened in your life. Try to recollect last 30 days. What is the big moment. You're proud of think about a year, what made you proud of. Maybe you could have been the best person in your company. Maybe you could have got your wife or your family a very precious thing which they have not seen before. Maybe you're happy. Try to recollect that the more you appreciate and love yourself, you will see lot of things. And in fact the epicenter of this whole habit is this, guys. Okay, so let me recollect to the spiritual habits. Love others, have a gratitude, practice it. Have an affirmation practice, Speak truth always and love yourself. Okay, so the mental habits, the physical habits and the spiritual habits. We have seen all these three. Okay, Jagdish, so how do I really implement this? Okay, so having heard this particular thing, habits is good. You're saying it's million dollar habits. It says. You mean you're saying it's going to change your Life. You're saying 21 days I practice it, how exactly do I do it? Everybody in the YouTube, everybody in the this, that. And I'll say this right, let me tell you guys, if you really wanted to make this happen, pick one habit. So don't be a. I'll pick 20 habits at a stretch. You will do nothing. I'm telling you. Okay, I'll pick five habits. Don't do that, guys. Okay, please have a plan for just 30 days. One habit. Take one habit for just 30 days. Once you make that second habit, you go after that. Once you complete the second month, go to the third habit. In one year. You would have developed 12 habits in one year. Can I tell you, you will earn 10 times more than what you're earning if you implement consistently for 365 days. That's the magic. People don't do it. That's the point. People don't do it. People don't trust it. People don't believe it. And I've become 7x more guys by implementing this thing. So it's, it's beyond what you think is the outcome. What I'm saying because I've tasted that results. I've seen people who are getting even more results than me. That's what made me really confident to do this. Okay, so please take a lot of notes. Now I'm going to be telling you the seven different things to implement it. The very first thing is make a decision, guys. Whatever your habit, pick one habit, whatever you wanted to do, like let's say waking up or maybe fitness or maybe if you want to read design book for one hour, anything you can pick, decide clearly that you're going to begin by acting in a specific way, hundred percentage. You need to be sure on that. You need to do it in a very, very, very specific time. For that. If you decide to wake up early, exercise morning, set your clock alarm, remind so that you keep that particular workout cloths and keep your water bottles, keep your bag, everything and you make yourself actually doing that tomorrow 5:00 clock. If you wanted to wake up and go for a fitness, okay, that's the first thing. Make a decision. Second is never allow an exception. Do not make exception to your new habit pattern. Guys. During the formation stages, don't make any excuses and rationalizations. Don't tell yourself off. Then you okay. If you resolve at six o' clock each day, discipline yourself to wake up at that time every single day. If you do 7 o', clock, 8 o', clock, there is no point in doing this. No excuse. That's the second important. Third important thing is very important. Tell others. This is where accountability comes. You can tell to your friends, you can tell to your good friend, you can tell your accountability partners, you can tell your mentors, you can tell people who are really you fear of you, really respect of. Then you will also do that. Let's say if you wanted to wake up at 5 o' clock if you're a Muslim, normally they do this namas, right? In the early morning. So maybe if you're a Muslim family or maybe if you're a Hindu family. Sometimes they go early in the morning to temples, right? So tell them, okay uncle, I wanted to wake up at 4:30. I'll wake up and then I'll give you a call for this next 21 days. Because you're also anyway going to do namas and you're also going to go temple, right? So can I do it? Your uncle should be like really respectable. You should not like hey uncle, okay, I'll come tomorrow. Then you don't go to his home. Hey uncle, you see this Diwali will have fun. He should be really respectable. Then only you will take it seriously. Okay? So inform the people who are around you who can really help you get this specific behavior. It's amazing. You know what? How much more disciplined and determined you will become. I've guided one student who want to really wake up at this early morning. And I told this exact thing. He did it. So that's the point. And he practiced it. And then you need to have that particular accountability guys. Then and only you will also do. Because a lot of times if you are accountable, if somebody is watching you, you Will do better. Okay, so your willpower goes up. Eventually that becomes a habit. The fourth important thing is visualize yourself. See in your mind's eye, see yourself performing the desired behavior. The more often you visualize, what happens is you have the new habit more rapidly coming. Like let's say you imagine, okay, I'm becoming ideal weight, I'm becoming more fit person. I'm dressing well for the next 21 days. And people are saying, you're a good looking person, you look really handsome, you look beautiful. Visualize that. Automatically your subconscious mind gets the command and start the habit. The fifth important thing is create an affirmation. Repeat the affirmation over and over yourself. Just I told you, repeat this dramatically. It increases your habit of developing this particular single information. Whatever you've taken. Okay, let's say you can say I can get up and get immediately at 6am every single day. You can say that I wake up at 6am and then I do 50 minutes of intensive exercise. I wake up at 6am and then I do 50 minutes of Intensive exercise. You can take that repeating this before you even sleep. Sometimes it will automatically wake you up before the alarm goes off. Guys, soon you don't need the alarm clock at all. So the sixth important thing is resolve to persist. This is really important. Guys. Keep practicing the new behavior until it becomes automatic. Keep practicing it. That's why 30 days is really required. Okay? And make sure you're uncomfortable because nothing happens in comfort zone. Once you make it as a habit, then it will become your comfort zone. See, bad habits are easy to form, difficult to live with. Good habits are difficult to form, easy to live with. I repeat, you. Bad habits are very easy to form, difficult to live with. But good habits are difficult to form but easy to live. And you will make yourself very successful person. The seventh important element and the last important element to make as your habit is please reward yourself. Lot of people don't understand. Everybody in the world works with either love or punishment, right? So some reward needs to be given for you. Most important thing is treat yourself for practicing that new habit. And each time, if you complete that one day, you can reward. Okay, I'll go for a juice. Okay, I'll go for a ice cream. Okay, I'll go and have a chat with my lover. Or maybe I'll go and have a fun. Or maybe I'll go for a vacation. So if you have that particular reward soon you will become associated to it at a subconscious level and you will become more successful. Guys, please, if you follow this Particular seven steps, you will successfully overcome the procrastination of anything, whatever you are postponing in your life time. Because procrastination is a big problem for almost everyone, learning to overcome procrastination is a big exercise that will pay off for your lifetime. Guys. To overcome procrastination, the seven steps could be definitely followed. So resolve to start immediately on your most important task every day. Never allow an exception until the habit is firmly enriched. Tell others that you're going to stop procrastinating in that particular area. Visualize yourself fourth, starting right into the task and working on it non stop until it is complete. Fifth is repeat over and over and affirm it and I start work immediately. And the most important task is this and I'm becoming this person, that person. And sixth is discipline yourself to persist every single day until it becomes an automatic habit for you. And the seventh is reward yourself and overcome the procrastination on complete delay. If you make this new habit as a regular part of your life, let me tell you guys, you will earn whatever you are expecting as a salary or you will earn whatever you are thinking that you want to be a popular designer, you will become 10 times more than this. And you know what? Every single month, if you install a habit, you have developed 12 new habits every year. Or maybe 16 new life enhancing habits every five years. At the rate your life would change so profoundly that you would become a whole new different positive person in a very short span of time. If you really wanted to become a millionaire or if you really wanted to become a impactful number one designer in the world, first of all you need to become that person. And then you get that money and then you get that fame and then you get to go you reach your goals. My mentor said that it's not about earning that million, it's not about making that design. If you become that person, you will definitely get it back. And it's not going to have a stopping. Nothing will stop you. It will any which ways come to you. Being that person and becoming that person is the very first thing. So that is why this mental habits, physical habits, spiritual habits, very important in your life.
