Exit The Matrix with Me Experiment: Guest: ETM With Me: William Whitecloud From Deathbed to Desti...

William Whitecloud tells how he recovered from terminal illness by abandoning medical treatments and reintroducing red meat, wine, coffee, and nicotine. He realized his negative focus was creating his reality. Only 3% of people pursuing personal development actually transform, he and host Jane Slack-Smith say, because knowledge alone means nothing without consistent application and clear intention.

Welcome to Exit the Matrix Stories of Success with your host Jane Slack-Smith, where we celebrate the incredible journeys of individuals who've transcended their limitations and achieved extraordinary success. It's good.
Hello and welcome back to Exit the Matrix with me. Now As you know, in this book writing experiment, I've decided to do things a little bit differently. Rather than writing the book and publishing it in a year's time and telling you we've got the latest information for you to hear, which is actually years old, I'm now researching the book live, and I'm getting to chat to, quite frankly, some of the most amazing people in the world that I have had the opportunity to either work with or be introduced to. And I have to say, I am so excited today because I'm introducing to you my personal mentor who I've been working with one-on-one for the last 4 years and someone who's completely changed the trajectory of my life. But it's not about me, it's about him today. So welcome, William Whitecloud.
Hey, thanks for the introduction and thanks for having me on your, um, very, very interesting project here. What a, what a creative way to write a book, huh?
Yeah, well, you know what, I've lost the attachment.
Slogging away instead of just slogging away at a linear, in a linear fashion, you know. To do it in just such a, you know, different way and very energizing way. And yeah, I think it's a very inspiring kind of approach, right? So well done. And I admire you because of that very reason of your innovation and your inspiration. There you go. And, you know, I didn't write that like you write. I just sat down slogging away at it and in the dark. But anyway, here we are and thanks for having me.
Oh, well, thank you so much. And, you know, the book, it, every time I interview someone, it changes a little bit, right? And I think I heard you say many years ago, if you write the book you sat down to write, you've actually not learned anything. You've done it wrong. So weekly I'm changing up where this book is going.
But you're succeeding, you're succeeding, because that's what I say. If, if you end up with the book that you sat down to write, you have not succeeded because you have discovered nothing. Um, and what they say is writing is discovery because it, it's a very inventive process. As you write, you draw, your, your creative faculties get going and are generating wisdom. And you do discover through, through your wisdom, you discover and you grow. And there are people that just end up with exactly what they started with. And it just shows you how— what an uncreative approach they've had and what little they've created and invented and discovered. And so I've got no doubt that you're discovering a lot.
You know, it's interesting. The, um, it is a discovery program process, but I have that end result of knowing that I'm on a path to look at how can people live from their heart and have true abundance in all aspects of their life. And it sounds a little like, yeah, well, you know, that's obvious. That's what everyone wants, but there's so many different paths there and, You know, I'm, I'm taking the, the loose structure of there's people going through this awareness stage where, well, I guess, yeah, there's an awareness stage where they're sitting there going, life, I'm kind of should be grateful for where I am. Like, but there's something missing and I'm interviewing people and I'm interested in, you know, where we start off with this interview with you with, which is like, what was that awakening kind of stage for you? That awareness that you were in a job or you may have had a health challenge or you may have had you know, significant family issues or whatever it was that went, mm, this is not really where I wanna be. And then, you know, there's this awakening and, and people go through different processes, be it psychedelics or yoga or meditation or whatever gets them to this stage of I wanna be self-realized. And then we have this activation stage. So this part of, you know, the interview where I really am at the moment, I'm, I'm interested in where people kind of had that realization that the life they were living may not have been like their true nature and purpose. So can I take you all the way back? I know you've been in this work and you've been teaching for 30 years, but prior to that, what was the— was there a moment or activity, or was there a kind of a gradual awareness that, you know, you weren't on the right path?
Well, I, I, I wasn't on the right path. I was on the absolutely wrong, the wrong track in life, but It's not, it's not how I thought of it, or thought, oh, I'm on the wrong track in life, and I got to get on the right track in life. It wasn't like that. I mean, how I got onto this track is I was very sick for a very long time. I was very unwell. And that, that disease, you know, and bad, you know, terrible state. I mean, it led to me being on my deathbed eventually. Um, it manifested in, in many different forms. I had many problems, um, in, in including substance abuse, drug addiction, all kinds of dysfunction. But most centrally, I was very sick.
Yeah.
And, um, just got worse, progressively worse and worse. Suffered. I won't bore you, bore you or anyone here listening with the details. Until I was actually on the verge of checking out. And I'd done everything to try and save myself. And, you know, that was my frame, is just like, I'm just really unwell. Nobody knows what's wrong with me. Nobody can help me. I'd seen everybody in the world, I think. Professors, natural healers, just, you know, the psychiatrists, the full spectrum of, of, um, medical alternative everything, and, and done everything that everybody said, and, and just progressively got worse till I was on my deathbed. And as I say, that was my frame. I was just in— I was just in a bad way, um, trying to figure out, you know, what I had to do to stay alive, right? And then right at the end, I met someone in a park. I mean, it was just a day where I just had enough energy to drag myself out and go and sit on a bench in a park. And a stranger, complete stranger, sat next to me, started a conversation with me, which I didn't want. I just wanted to be left alone. But this person forced a conversation on me. Got it out of me that I was, you know, very ill and whatever, asked me a few questions, and, and then really annoyed me by saying they knew what was wrong with me because I'd been to everybody, every professional, and they weren't that right. Um, and they, but they said, oh, they knew what, what was wrong with me. And, and then it was a young man, and when he told me that he knew what was wrong with me, that he had had what I had, and he told me his experience— when he told me his experience, I knew he had, because it— he was, he was— he described the condition and the progression and the symptoms and everything, everything. He, he could predict. He said, I bet you, I bet you you've been doing drugs. I bet you you're on this. I bet you you're doing this. I bet you you've been through this. I Yeah, yeah, how do you know? He says, yeah, it's me too. And, and so then I just knew he had it. But, but here he was, not dying. He was very well fit, younger. In fact, he was a fitness trainer, you know, a gym, a gym trainer, a very, very strong, athletic, fit, fit young guy. And, and, you know, I said, yeah, no, uh I've had what you had, um, and it's very easy to cure. You know, wow, that, that's, that's amazing.
And I'm sure you would doubt it.
This guy really has had it. I knew, I knew, and he's healed himself. And so I'm very interested now. It's like, he goes, yeah, it's very easy. I said, really? So, so what must I do? What is it? And he said, well, You must stop doing everything you're doing now and everything that they're telling you, and, you know, all the regimens you're on now, and just, just cut it out. And what you must start doing, because I know you, I know you've stopped all of it, but you must get back on red meat. You must start eating protein, meat, animal protein. You must start drinking wine. You must start having a coffee or two every day. And you must start smoking. Not, not like a pack a day kind of smoking, but just you must have a few cigarettes and get some nicotine in you. You must get some caffeine in you. You must get some protein in you, and you must get some alcohol in you. And I was really excited before that, but then when he told me that, I was really, you know, now unexcited. I was very depressed and despondent. Like, that's the cure? That, that's it? That's what That, that's what everybody told me is killing me. And then I, you know, I'm awful of that stuff, and I mean keeping clean as I can, and now you, you're telling me to do that. It's like signing a death warrant, right? It's like going in front of a firing squad. But as, as confronted as I was by when he originally, when he first told me what it was, he assured me that it's a fact. That this was going to do it. And so I did. I did. I went, you know what, what the hell? I mean, I'm checking out anyway. I mean, I was having deathbed counseling at the time. I was going, you know, what have I got to lose? So I did, and I bounced back in no time. I was like, boom. And, you know, I mean, I was in really bad shape and took me a while to put the weight back on. I had sores all over me, and it took a while for the sores to heal and the weight to be, you know, going back. But my mental faculties and everything just, just came back. I could remember again. I'd lost my memory. Um, I had tension headaches. They went. I was clear. I had energy, even though I was a skinny little thing, right? You know, I had, had energy, and, and I was back. I was just completely back. So it's a long story, right? But the, the thing, the thing about it was it was very profound for me, like, to, to— because, because I, I had no way out except, you know, death. A coffin was going to be my way out, there's no doubt about it. And, and I just had no way out. And then I found a way out, like, just miraculously found this way out with this crazy prescription, you know. And the thing, the thing about it, it had a really profound effect on me. But I never ever for one minute ever after that went, wow, alcohol, hey, wow, caffeine, nicotine, red meat, wow, you know, those are really, you know, powerful healing properties. I never believed in, in, in the sort of efficacy of those properties, you know, I just didn't buy it. There's something that dawned on me which I'd never heard from outside of myself ever. I, I've never been in personal development or spiritual development or nothing. I'd never been to workshops or nothing. But what dawned on me, it, it was a, it was a self-realization is that there must be some way that my focus creates my reality. Must be some way that what, what goes— what, what goes for me in life is a result of the way our focus is. It depends on focus. Because I had just been so focused on, at the very beginning, not being sick and not losing my job, and then not losing money, and then not losing my sanity, and then not losing my life, and not, not losing and I was hanging on to everything that I could, you know, hang on, and, and then I'd lose it, and then I'd have one more thing to hang on to. And, you know, if it was like my marriage, right, you know, and then it was like, then I lost that, and then it was like, wow, you know. And, and just, just, just, you know, losing one thing after another that I'm hanging on to, just desperately avoiding the loss of whatever I had, and, and, and desperately not wanting to be ill, not wanting to lose, and not, not wanting to die. And then, and, and the, the, the, the more energy I put into that, the more it happened, the more it intensified, the worse it got. And then I just, I, I, I, I clicked, you know, it's like You know what it was, was at the end when that guy said that to me, it was like a kind of a permission to just go, you know what, what the hell, screw that.
That, you think it was because you were at the end, like there was no, you'd lost everything. Like the, all you had left was your life.
I think it was two things. I, two, it was, it was two things. And, and, and, and both are very, both are equally important. One was I had nothing to lose, but the other one— I think if I had nothing to lose on its own, wouldn't have done it. It's that I believed this person. Yeah, I believe them. Uh, you know, I believe them because they understood my problem, and that's a very powerful thing. You know, when a person has a problem and, and, and, and, and you know, you understand their problem, they, they will put their lives in your hands. I'm telling you, I saw it a lot because after I went, um, to, uh, in, in, in recovery, I, I spent many years in, in Narcotics Anonymous and Alcoholics Anonymous, and I was, you know, I spent time in, in, in recovery, um, And, and there, the, the big healing factor was people came in messed up. And, you know, you just— the same thing, you told them that you understood their problem and you told them what your experience was. And they— but, you know, they got it, they felt it. And so they go, yeah, this person knows my problem, they're not a cop. They're not a social worker with some degree or something. I'm not a specimen to this person. It's just like this person, you know, has empathy. They understand me, they've been there, and so therefore they believe the solution I offer them, you see. So, so I, I had that same thing with this guy, you know. He, he— I, I believed him. I believed his, you know, and, and I, I I trusted him is the word, I guess, the word I'm looking for. So it was that trust as well as, you know, nothing to lose. And, but the important thing is, that's not even the important thing, is the important thing is that, that cut off my negative vision. And, and what we mean by negative vision is when what you go for is to get away from something. It's, it's not driven by the pure desire of the end result itself. But the end result is actually driven by something else, not the true desire for it, but the desire to get away from something else. So you, you desire life not, not to, to enjoy all the, the joys and benefits of life, but, but you want that life so that you, you know, because you don't want to die, you know. So, so that, that, that then ended my— this 10-year intense negative vision that I was subject to. Yeah, because, because that, that was my focus, was this just this endless negative vision. And that guy snapped it for me, and I didn't have negative vision anymore, right? And, and, and, and, and things just changed. So the point is that, that, you know, there was— it was that insight that, oh my God, my focus creates my reality. But how does that work? And, and I, and I, and I wanted to know how that worked. I, I, it wasn't even, I wanted to improve my life or something. It's just, it's just like stumbled on something. I didn't know that there were workshops on these subjects and yeah, books and studies and that, that it's basically an ancient, you know, been, been, been a philosophy that people have subscribed to from the beginning of time till now.
Yeah.
I thought I was the first person that had stumbled on this. You know, and, and I, I just had a burning desire to inquire and find out how that works. And, and then I did.
So it, it strikes me, William, that, you know, those many, many years of sickness and of, you know, kind of trying to, uh, run from loss, but attracting it as it was coming, and also keeping yourself in lack even through the beautiful foods and the, you know, the joys that came to your life through maybe a red wine or a steak and a cigarette. And, you know, there was a whole sense of lack there in these things. And it was almost like the permission that this man gave you was to say, you can just enjoy yourself. You can just choose to be well and enjoy the things that you want. And not saying that these things are the medicine. It's just saying, choose what you love. And he just happened to pick up on the things that you love. So you allowed yourself to actually experience what you loved.
Well, no, he prescribed them as a cure. That was the premise, is those are the substances that he had also taken. And so I don't think it was just like—
But on a higher level, it was actually the things that you enjoy.
No, no, but I mean, no, but you're right. You're also right, is yeah, I was in a completely deprived state, completely deprived state. I mean, I was just like down to nothing. I had nothing. I ate nothing. I, you know, yeah, there's nothing. I tasted nothing.
Cabbage soup day in, day out.
Oh yeah, yeah. No, no, not even soup. Boiled cabbage, distilled water, vitamin injections, iron injections, you know. Um, that's it. And, and, you know, I remember when, when he told me that and, and we parted company, actually It was in Rushcutters Bay in Sydney. And I went up to, you know, I went up towards the King's Cross up there and just came across the first row of restaurants and just went into a restaurant because it was actually around about lunchtime. And I was a mess, you know, I was just like, yeah, just like a complete mess. But I had a wallet on me and I went into a restaurant and it was the days, it was still the days you could smoke in a restaurant. I think maybe in a smoking section, but you could, and you could buy cigarettes in a restaurant. And I ordered a packet of cigarettes, a coffee, a glass of wine, and a steak, and I had all of them at once. I was just— but I was, you know, I was better. And, and I've never— that— I've never had a relapse of that or anything. And so anyway, there it is, you know. Then, then I discovered, yeah, you know, so it's your focus creates your reality. And, and but also, you, you know, not only that your focus creates your reality, but you've got to be like very aware of what you're focusing on, because what you think you're focused on isn't what you're focused on. So you've got to really be able to understand and know what are you, what are you really focused on, and is it something that is not a negative vision, that is, that is, that, you know, is a is a, is a true vision that's born of the love of that just by itself. Right. And yeah, so here we are now.
I want, I wanna challenge you with something here, William, and this is something that I've come across in the last couple of weeks and it, it goes to this incredible coincidence of this, you know, rare disease and what you had, and everyone has given up hope. You're on the deathbed, and this person with the exact experience but just a few years ahead of you has turned up with the answer, and you feel that you can trust them, and they know empathetically your problem, and they're not talking as an authority. They're there fully in some way where you're going, Okay, I didn't want to have a conversation, but this is so compelling, I have to listen. And what I've been challenged with in the last couple of weeks, this lady Dorota kind of brought this into my awareness, was what if everyone in existence is actually a manifestation of you at a different timeline? And this was actually a you having had that experience, and that's why you could actually talk to this random person, and you felt that trust, and you felt that kind of, this person really understands me. Is that something that would enter your consciousness at all?
I mean, I, I, I could, I could accept that. I'm— it doesn't challenge me. I go, yeah, okay, so, you know, Possibly, possibly.
Because it strikes me sometimes that the right person turns up just out of the absolute blue, that in, in a situation that has the piece of information or the answer or just a compelling, you know, uh, I believe in you kind of thing. And it's enough for people to then take an action and maybe reorientate like you did in your entire life. But, um, yeah, it's, it's something that's sitting in my awareness at the moment. 'Cause when I'm looking at this, you know, how to live from abundance, how to become aware, I think there are often the little messages that we get. Like we get the little tickle of the feather before we get the big life slap sometimes. And it just, it struck me that what she was talking about could actually, you know, if you looked at everyone as if they were yourself, then you're gonna turn up in complete presence and you're gonna turn up seeing that person in you and wanting to treat them how you want to be treated. So, you know, it's a notion that I'm playing with at the moment, but it strikes me in your story that that would be—
so you're saying that I could be you?
I think you may be. Who knows? If I— if the God's within and I see divinity in me, that means the God's in you and there's divinity in you. So I'm good with that.
Well, you know, if, if you, if you get in— if you get into quantum physics, um, or all of these things, then makes sense, right? Yeah, it does. It's, it's, it's, I don't like to fill my head up with too many concepts though.
Focus creates reality is fine.
I'm just more interested in creating what I love. And, you know, you know, there's a problem with, with, with, with you're always meeting people with concepts, and, um, it's, it's, it's kind of like a, um, a dysfunctional human dynamic, really, if you ask me. And not to say that the concepts people have aren't necessarily true, um, but, but to me it's like, so, so what? You, you know, a friend of mine went on a trek to the Himalayas.
Hello, just a quick message. I hope you're enjoying this podcast bonus session.
Now, if you have heard this interview, then you're probably sitting in there going, what is this all about?
Well, this is all about my Exit the Matrix experiment. Now, I decided to write a book because I'm really interested in So how do we go from the existence that we have now to exiting the matrix and living with intention from our hearts, following our heart's desires, but also creating abundance in all areas of our lives? And hence, whilst I've been researching this book, I thought, this is a really solitary journey. I want people to come on this journey with me. And hence I've got this very special group. Now come and join me. The first month for founders is free. And if you decide to stay, fantastic. So what I'm doing is I'm interviewing incredible people. I'm getting insights about what's this awakening that people are getting, you know, what's this, the exit the matrix kind of sliding door moment for them. Now, I've obviously run this podcast for over a year now, and I have more than 30 stories, but I'm also interested in those people who are in this transformational space who are actually not just awakening themselves, and they're awakening others. What is the mechanism? As Bashar talks about it, it's the permission slip. Are they going through astrology or meditation or yoga or breathwork? Are they just going within and getting a sense of what's really going on? So that's what all the Exit the Matrix experience is about. I'm going to let you get back to the interview, but if you want to join me, go to exitthematrix.today ETM with me, which stands for Exit the Matrix with me. So that's exitthematrix.today/etmwithme.
I'd love for you to come along. I'm creating courses. There's currently courses in there around 4D gratitude. There's more courses to come. I'm creating custom GPTs on how you can exit the matrix and helping you uncover what lies beneath your subconscious and holding you back. And also other custom GPTs that I'm sure you're going to love. And most of the speakers are actually really motivating me. So I'm creating courses, I'm creating ebooks, I'm creating experiments you can try, I'm creating tools that you can use, and I'm also writing a book.
So at some stage I'll get to writing the book.
At this moment it's just all about the research, and I hope you choose to join me because I'm really excited about this experiment. So I'll get back to the interview now. Enjoy yourself. And as always, here's to your success.
Because, because a girlfriend he was dating at the time went on this thing, and so he signed up and he went. And, and he didn't know, he didn't know what it really was, but they went, they went trekking and they had Sherpas that carried their stuff. So they just walked and the, the locals carried all their heavy stuff and that. Um, and it was beautiful out in the Himalayas, but every night they set up camp And then the leader of the camp was some self-styled mystic, and he'd explain the meaning of the universe to them, you know, every night, and, and how there were 7 layers of 7 layers of 7 layers, and, and we're ascending through these layers, and then you get to this layer, and then the next layer of evolution and is here, and, and it's, it's, it's, it's in this, um, you know, solar system where that happens, and then the other the other level happens in this solar system. And, uh, you know, this friend of mine, like, guys, he's sitting there and he didn't mind, you know, just his girlfriend was there and he enjoyed the hike and all this. But, but all of this conceptual stuff, you know, it's like, what's the point? We're here in the Himalayas enjoying a thing, and, and this guy is telling us how the universe is made up according to him. You know, and, and, and he's— he said he didn't make any trouble, but one night he said, he said to the guy, so what happens when we get to the end? You know, what, what, what's the point? What, what happens? We go through these star systems and these these levels. And, and, and now where we all are, you, you're saying we're, we're kind of on a pretty low level here, but we've got to go 3 more levels and then the end of those 7 levels. But then we go up to the next level where we've got to ascend the next 7 levels. And when we get there, like, what's there, right? And, and the guy couldn't answer. He said, well, then you've arrived, you know. And it's like, so I don't know, I wasn't there. I can't tell the value of this person's information. It's like What's the point? What's the point of all this concept? You know, how does it—
it's almost like the needing to know. The brain engages and it gets, you know, the identity, the ego, whatever gets involved and goes, I need to know, I need to know who's got the right answer, because we don't trust our own answers or we don't trust the information we get.
You see, one of the 12 fundamental beliefs that we're subject to, because we're subject to beliefs and, and they're, they're, you know, they're sort of the main bedrock beliefs, right? Which is like, I'm unworthy, and I'm powerless, and I'm not good enough, and I'm not safe, and I don't belong, and all that. But one of them is that there is a way it is. It's just a belief, you know. And people with that belief love concepts that, you know, just reassure them that there's a way it is, you know, there's 7 layers of—
Give me a structure, give me a structure and a framework.
And I'm saying they're very reassured. They love metaphysics, because You know, the world, the universe is really unknowable, um, but it gives them a feeling. Yeah, but I know, I know, we— everyone you meet is just you in, in some other form. And it's like, yeah, okay, that, that's how it is, you know. So I'm not, I'm not challenged by that because it could be true, you know. I'll buy it, right?
Yeah, it's like, yes, why not?
We, we all, we all one, you know, really, in, in truth. And, and so That, that's not challenging to me. It's just not interesting to me.
It's interesting. Well, look, I want to jump now. Like you've had, you've had this kind of focus creates reality. You, you've gone on a research path. You found like there's other people who are discovered this as well. You start forming your own work. And I, I guess I want to get into your work and the people you work with because, you know, as I'm researching this book, And people get to this point of, you know, there's an awareness and then there's this awakening and some choose not to be awakened. Some see a path. And I know, you know, when I was kind of on this path of going, there has to be a way to hack success. You know, I bought a ticket to Mindvalley University in Estonia. My 10-year-old son and I flew over there. Incredible kind of, you know, 600 people who are enlightened and awakened. And I was so excited about it. And I realized most of them are broken. Most people there were broken, looking for answers or looking for the guru or looking for, you know, someone to tell them what to do. There wasn't that many people who were self-actualized and going like, let me just share, you know, there's some obviously amazing people on the stage doing that. And you've worked with thousands of people, you know, through Create Your Destiny and then the rest of the curriculum, you know, um, and I've had 60, we took 60,000 people through Create Your Destiny and in the pandemic, I mean, Yeah. And, and I mean, I, I went on that, that was, you know, my awakening to your work. But you were teaching hundreds of thousands of people this work and you see that point. I'm, I'm interested in that point where people either get to choose to realize that they create their own reality or they choose to go back to the farm where it's safe. What is the thing that, or things, or, you know, I guess awareness that you have that that delineates one group from the other. What, what, what is that? Why do people choose and some people choose not?
I mean, this goes way back. I mean, even in the Bible, written thousands of years ago, wasn't it? I think it was, it was Christ who said, many are called but few are chosen. So, so, so, so what he means by many are called and few are chosen is many, you know, hear the call, but few actually make it. Few actually, you know, sustain the transformation, manage— few manage the transformation. And, you know, we've been aware of that forever. You know, Christ spoke to it. And, and today, with, with all the people who are much more successful than me and, and work with far more people and do much bigger things than I do, nevertheless, everyone's kind of aware of this thing, of this statistic. And I mean, it's— I, I think it's kind of pretty accurate. I think it's pretty accurate. Is there's this 3% rule that 3% make it, you know, of all the people doing, doing work. Um, you know, um, what's his name? Um, he wrote Power Versus Force. Do you know who— do you know who that is? Um, yeah, it's his name.
Anyway, Google it while you talk to it. Yeah.
Um, yeah, just, just Google it. Um, but, but, but they, they, they, they, they've done a lot of, um, research and, and, and studies, and, um, they reckon that David Hawkins— yeah, David Hawkins, thank you. Uh, Stephen Hawking's brother— no, he's not Stephen Hawking's brother, but David Hawkins. A very, a very wise man, and, and, um, done some amazing, amazing work. Now, they've done a lot of research, and their finding is that people can do a lifetime of personal and spiritual development but transform nothing. Actually, they just fill themselves up with more and more knowledge and, and become more and more knowledgeable in But, but their capacity to, to change is, is zero. He reckons that out of everyone who, who does work, and they can do it for 20, 30, 40, 50 years, doesn't matter how much and what, and that 3% actually change, actually, actually transform. Um, and, and, and what's, what's the determinant of that? You know, if we knew, we would bottle it, right? If, if we knew, we would bottle it. I don't know, um, you know, the, the people that you would write off and that I have written off that have been the ones that are transformed, they're the people that you go, this person's solid, and they don't make it. But there are people you go, this person's solid and they do make it. And there are people that you go, this person, you can forget about it. They're like complete flake or whatever. And yet they make it. They change. They transform. But I'm just going to say this, is that one of the biggest problems that you find is Yes, everyone's looking and wanting and seeking and desiring and hungry and having a sense, um, a need, a pain that they want to fix, or a sense that there's something more, um, which, which is the person I like. I like that person who is, is, is sort of together, motivated, and yet they have a sense that there's much more, you know, that they could tap into. It's like if you're a good tennis player, you know, and you know that for you to go to the serious level, you're going to need to go and get coached and go to camps and train and get coached and all that. And you know that some work will take you there and you've got to do that work, right? And so there are people that are in all of this that are like that, and they're the ones that I like. They go, yeah, you know, I'm pretty, you know, up and running in life. But I'm like that tennis player. I know I've got to go and I've got to go and do that camp and, and, and, and, you know, get, get coached and get a coach and, and, and, and really be trained up to my optimal level. But, but, you know, as I say, they're those people, they're those people seeking to escape pain. They're just searchers, I think. So, so, so there's not one type that will make it more than another type. But, but I will say this is the biggest problem you're going to find is non-application of what is learned. And, and, and yet when there is an application, when someone learns something and, and they're actually, as best they can, apply it if it's good stuff. Like, and I believe, like, what we have is really good. So if a person, you know, not only learns it but then applies it, they're going to succeed. And, and often there is this thing, I think, as, as we all know, everyone kind of knows it, right? Beginner's luck. You, you actually, you, you actually punch above your weight to start with, you know. You just, you, you, you know, you learn it, you try it, and, and you actually have more success than you should have with it, right? But you really, you have, you know, and, and that encourages you, right? People, that, that encourages people to, you know, to lean into it more, learn more, you know, apply it more. Um, and, and, and that is a really big determinant if, if a person is going to— I don't know, as I said, I, I don't know what it is that why many are called but few are chosen, but it's as old as, as, as, as humans themselves, right? That, that, that reality. And, and I don't know what, what it is, because you can't, you can't pick a type. You can't say, oh, that personality type will do better than that personality type, and, and that person and this person, this. But I, but I just will say what I've said already, is that certainly if what is learned is applied then that gives a person a really good chance of keeping, of, of, of keeping going, you know.
And, and I think, I mean, you, you talk about that, you know, you learn, you learn it, you apply it, you succeed, and this spiral goes upward. That success carries you forward. You keep learning, you keep learning. And, you know, for me personally, I kind of learn, apply, succeed, and then I I train in it, which allows me to actually almost concretize the information and go, okay, now the next step. But one of the things, you know, having taught tens of thousands of people in property investing was I found that, I don't even know if I can draw this, but there was, there's a relationship I think between knowledge and action. And if I just draw this comfortably here and I've got, you know, knowledge here or wisdom or whatever. And up here I've got action. There was, there's people that have a lot of knowledge and they're jumping in really quickly without putting a lot of thought into it. And they're, they're basically failing. They're the ones like, I'm into crypto now, I'm into NFTs now, I'm into this and now I'm like, they jump, jump, jump. And there's people over here that have got no knowledge and have got no action and they're just the naysayers. So they're people who are gonna bring you down. And I think we've got the dreamers and they're, they're taking all of this action. They're buying all of these courses and they're doing all of these things, but they're not applying it. And like, you know, have you done shadow work? Have you done inner child work? And they're doing all of these things. They're dreaming. And then there's people who bring in, you know, the action and knowledge and they develop it. And I guess in my experience in teaching thousands in the property investing, it was those that took the knowledge and applied it and took the action. That were the ones that I liked working with because they weren't the dreamers that were just jumping onto the next thing. They weren't the people who were taking action, action, action without any real knowledge. And they weren't people who were just sitting there that were just like being the naysayers. It was people who were doing that. And, you know, if we're going to pull anything out, it was the fact that give it a crack, I guess, give everything a crack and have a play and see what happens.
Yeah, yeah, no, you've got, you've got to apply it. Um, my, my first and most successful book still is, is The Magician's Way. And I have here that, that— yeah, there it is. And, and that took off miraculously, and, and largely because of one person who, the day it was launched, that the book was launched, and it was up, you know, open for sale in bookshops. One, one individual came across it, and a person who's a wealth creation expert with a very big network, and, and they, they'd like just opened it and looked at it and liked the look of it, took it home and read it, and then recommended it to their whole network, you know, which is very extensive, and a lot of powerful people in that network we then read it and then recommended it to their networks. And so it went. And it was just amazing how that went. It was a real magic. But I met them finally and thanked them for that. They didn't even know, I think, what effect they had on me and that book and my life as a result of that. And I asked them, and they said, oh no, it's a pleasure, it's a great book and all that. And I said, well, what was it that you liked about it? And he said to me, he said, well, you know, I teach people all of this stuff, right? I give them all of the knowledge to make, to become millionaires. And I know people who studied with this person and who applied it, who made fortunes. Without any capital, without money and all that. People who took his knowledge and actually applied it, they're hugely successful and have become great friends of mine and traveled the world with me and all that. And they learned from him. And he said, you know, I teach everybody and I teach them all the same thing and I give them the tools, but they don't do it. And there's this thing in your book, a whole chapter dedicated to it. That you gotta take action. You gotta take action. There's, there's nothing to do, but there's action to take, right? You have to take action. There it is. There's nothing to do, only action to take, right?
And I think, you know, people, there's such a great reminders, right? You mean, uh, I love your, your, um, premises so much. And I think, you know, when I was looking at taking my property course over to America, I spoke to a lady about converting my course and she said the top 5 property investment courses in Australia, in America, I've written and all we did was change the first chapter, first module, because not many people get past the first module. And then when I interviewed someone recently in this group about a book, he said the first 3 chapters is what most people read. The rest is beige. And it just, it reinforced to me that 80% of people don't read past chapter 3. It reinforced me that there's not that much commitment in people, like that application. You actually have to do a bit of the knowledge base first, right? You have to take some of the learning before you can apply it. And a lot of people just give up.
Yeah.
And it's not their fault, they think.
Yeah. I mean, yeah, there is some there's some effort and some determination required, um, some— something to put in, something to give. It, it takes— it takes some will, um, and what— there it is, you see, it takes will. Yeah, yeah. And what, what, what you see, I guess maybe that's the ingredient, is, is the will And I mean, it, it certainly is. It can't be done without will, right? So it's the will, it's the will, it's the will to do it. But then you see, what gives people the will is, is very different things, you know. So that, that's the undefinable thing, is what gives the person the will to, to follow through.
I think in your work, and it's reinforced in neuroscience as well, is intention, is what the intention of anything is. And I know we've just got the last couple of minutes now. And I mean, you've worked with me one-on-one over the last 4 years. And we've been through many, many versions of Jane Slack-Smith, of where we've got to today. And just on a personal experience, you know, I was looking back on some of the experiences that I've had and revelations and, you know, every 6 months we kind of choose a new orientation of what I'm concentrating on. And I guess the, the observations that I've had in reflecting the work that we've done is that it took a long time for me to let go of the past or let go of the framework that I had or you know, the ego identity, whatever it was, and be willing to be open to the fact that I have dysfunctions, I have a process I go through, and just having, you know, this awareness. And sometimes it's after the event going, oh my God, I've done this again, you know, I've had that story going on. And it just gets simpler and simpler or quicker, I think, where you kind of aware it's wrong. I don't know if you want to talk to, I mean, you know, I'm happy for you to do talk to my personal experience because I mean that's allowed me to come to where I am now.
Well, I mean, it very much helps is if you, you know, establish a vision and you really connect with a true sense, a, a, like, a, a, a really authentic sense of what matters to you, what you love, and, and, and, and what you create. Because that you can, you can buy into that, and you do, you see. Is, is if, if, if you find your heart and, and, you know, authentically what, what actually matters to you, what, what, like, what you really care about, and and what you'd really love in life and what you want to create and you come across that. Well, that's a very compelling force, that connection to your heart and what you love. And particularly if you couple it with the understanding, the knowledge, not even an understanding because it's not conceptual, Like, if, if, if you kind of have something that you've applied that will give you the, the, the, the, the real faith that it is— that, that you are the creative force in your own life, and that it's your focus that, that creates your reality, and that if you focus on your heart and, and this, this that matters to you and, and and what you want. Well, then, you know, that's quite a powerful, compelling force. And, you know, I think that's what, you know, knowing you and observing you in what you create, I mean, That's what it's been, is a recognition of, you know, what, what, what really, what it really is that matters and, and that you want to create and that you want to contribute. And, and a sharper sense because you, you've already been a, a, a powerful creator and, and contributor and, and whatever. But, but, but, you know, like, like, like getting a, a clearer sense and a, and a, and a, you know, a sharper sense of, of that, a clarification of that, is, is, is, is inspiring. And, and, and so that's what I've observed with you is coming to that clarification, the inspiration the encouragement that that is possible because you, you're, you're the creator of your own destiny. And, and applying that premise and the tools that go with it to, to creating that sharper clarification and sense of what it is that, that you can do and, and would love to, and that goes beyond what you have done so far, that that involves, um, reward, contribution, growth, all of that. That, that, those are all compelling, very compelling needs. And so you, you know, you, you have that, you buy into it, you go for it, you succeed with that. And then, you know, as you say, every 6 months, 7 months, 8 months, there's a refreshing of that and an even higher level realized of you can go for. And, and it's, it's that, um, like, like, like you said, there's that upward spiral, you know. You learn, you apply, you, you succeed, you, you go, you know. And, and, and so, so it is for us creators. We're, we're like eagles. We're in an upward spiral. Yeah, which is going with the wind, which is the counter which is the counter to the downward spiral of belief creates reality, reinforces belief, creates more reality.
Yeah. Well, look, I really appreciate that. And I guess from my personal experience of working with you, and, um, if anyone, I'm gonna drop all the links to Create Your Destiny. You know, I encourage people even just to pick up the book, The Magician's Way, because as I said, changed my life. Working with William changed my life. And as he said, as the tennis tennis player, like, get a coach, you know. So you can't expect to do everything from the base of everything that you've known so far. And I think that's one of the things in the book that is revealed, is that if we just rely on what we've always known, we're going to get what we've always got. And if we're not getting what we want, then we need to actually, you know, be accessed to more information, more people, and more ways to live this awakened life of abundance and create the reality that we want. So William, I really appreciate your time. I appreciate you as my personal coach. I appreciate you sharing your story and, um, yeah, some insights into why some people awaken and some people decide to stay asleep. So thank you so very much. I appreciate your time.
Well, you know, if, if, if you, uh, I'll just say this very quickly. It's a mystery, but I, I'll tell you what, you have a very big advantage, as you said, with the knowledge and the application. If you learn good stuff and you apply it, it's gonna make you much more highly likely to, to, to succeed, right? So, um, that, that, that definitely is, is useful.
I, I heard someone say last week, if you have the intention of your meditation of exactly what you wanna get out of it and you still stuff up the meditation, you will succeed. The intention is more impor— important than the actions. So take action. But know that the intention will lead you there, which is exactly what you're saying, which, you know, that focus at the end result. So thank you once again for that last little drop of wisdom.
Thank you. And thanks everybody listening. Um, good, good to be here. And, um, see you all maybe somewhere soon. Uh, and, and definitely you, hey, Jane?
Absolutely. I'm on the path. I'm on the path, William.
In a big way.
Okay, well, that's Exit the Matrix with me, special guest William Whitecloud. And, uh, I'm continuing this research. We're going to work out how we go from this awareness to this awakened state. And this has, uh, dropped a few gems for you today, and I'm definitely going to, uh, be putting some of this into the book because I know how important it's been in my life. And I hope that you take up that challenge too. As always, here's to your success. Bye for now.
Ciao! Thank you for listening to Exit the Matrix Stories of Success. Make sure you subscribe to future episodes at www.exitthematrix.io. Until next time, here's to your success.
