Reading a small sample from chapter 9 of my book! available on Amazon!

Jason Tremko reads from his book on cannabis addiction, citing data showing 46% relapse rates in rehab and 49% of patients relapsing the first day marijuana becomes available. He notes that 1 in 5 cannabis users develop cannabis-use disorder, and shares his experience as a teacher encountering heavy users as young as 11 or 12.

people. So checking in with y'all, um, I'm gonna do another, uh, live here where I'm reading a little bit of my book. So today I'm going to read chapter 9, um, which is titled Is Rehab Effective, right? And if you're new here— oh, my voice just cracked— if you're new here, get out, okay? This is The Green Glitch: What's Behind the Devil's Lettuce, which is available on Amazon and Barnes Noble and what other book ordering website that you may use. All right, it's published by Christian Faith Publishing, and, uh, you know, it's, it's a great book. I believe it's a book that every parent needs to read. I say it all the time, right? If you care about the kids in this country, because they are silenced right now, they really are, in regards to this subject. They're the ones that are at the forefront of the addiction industry. Of marijuana, and I'm speaking up for him, and that's what this is about. But, um, I'm gonna talk about, you know, rehab, okay? Because a lot of people say, well, marijuana is not that addicting, okay? But what they don't realize is that marijuana is one of the, the fastest growing rehabilitation topics in America, okay? And we're going to take a look at some of the, the stats. All right, so here we go. Let's jump in. But well, actually, let me back up a little bit. So I want to remind you guys too that I'll be giving away our very first Xbox Series One X. I got two of them that I'm giving away, brand new. Uh, the first one will be on May 9th at 5 PM. Okay, so you want to log in at 4:45 PM right here on my YouTube channel. And to, to enter, all you got to do is purchase the book. Okay, it's $16.95. You're going to learn something critical and important, and that is a ticket for you to win an Xbox. Okay, I'll be doing some live book, um, book signings and things like that, you know, leading up to this, um, you know, but secure your chance, guys. This is a great chance for you to win an Xbox and learn something important at the same time. All right, but anyway, I'm gonna jump in here. So we are in Chapter 9, Is Rehab Effective? All right, so here we go. Marijuana rehabilitation is often discussed through the lenses of emotionalism or morality, but the real story is in the data. When you look closely at statistics, a much more nuanced picture appears. There are some successful treatment programs that help people overcome marijuana addictions. These treatments are most successful in the short term, but success rates vary widely. Relapses are common. And outcomes depend heavily on treatment intensity and approach. There's not a lot of data available to single-handedly determine the rate of relapse for just cannabis use. This is partly because the variables considered— okay, here's where it gets a little more interesting. So it says, however, an exploratory survival analysis in 2022 observed 466 participants They reported a whopping 46% of their, of their patients had relapsed within a year. Okay, similarly, data from 5 different inpatient laboratories that work to assess data related to marijuana intoxication as well as withdrawal and relapse data reported that 49% of participants relapsed the first day that marijuana became available. So I want you to think about that. So somebody's saying, "What you reading?" All right, so I'm actually reading a little bit from my book that just recently got published. So in Chapter 9, and you know, we're talking about the relapse rate for marijuana from these 5 different inpatient labs, and they're showing that 49% of patients relapse the first day that marijuana became available to them. Tell me that's not interesting. Almost half, right? So when you look up how much some of these inpatient programs are costing, people are paying like $20,000 for rehabilitation, okay? And marijuana rehab is actually one of the fastest growing rehab programs in the United States. So if somebody's paying $20,000 and 49% of them are relapsing the very first time, that marijuana becomes available to them. That should show how powerful marijuana is, all right? People don't just pay that kind of money to relapse, you know what I'm saying? Almost half. So, you know, it's underestimated, and that's the bottom line. People are underestimating it. But anyway, let's, let's keep reading here. Uh, cannabis use disorder is not a small issue, that approximately 1 in 5 cannabis users will meet the criteria for cannabis use disorder at some point. Alright, so 1 out of 5. Now, interesting, I've been looking into like, you know, medical marijuana, you know, because there is some positives and stuff in there that people talk about, but they're not reaching out and looking into the real facts. Interestingly, right now is about 53% of medical marijuana users meet the threshold for cannabis use disorder. So, you know, I'm using it for medical purposes, but I'm still meeting the thresholds for cannabis use disorder. So it's very interesting to me. And also, only 24% of medical marijuana users are even actually card-carrying medical users. Most of them are self-identified medical marijuana users. So that's very interesting. Yes, so for heroin and opioids and things— I just read that a little bit ago— it's about the same. They're saying 46% of patients relapse from opioid use therapy programs. So about 46%. And data showing that 49% relapse with marijuana the first time it becomes available. So very similar, very close, right? So, you know, it's just interesting to me. All right, but let's, let's keep reading here. Um, where am I at here? Okay, yeah, so 1 in 5 cannabis users will meet criteria for cannabis use disorder at some point, with the risks especially high for adolescents and daily users. Among young adults, cannabis is now one of the most common reasons for entering substance use treatment programs, making marijuana rehab a major component of modern addiction services. This is interesting to me because when you hear people talk about marijuana, they act like it is no, no big deal. The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration conducted a national survey on drug use and health. They highlighted the results from their 2023 data in a report They explained that in the year 2023, approximately 12.8 million people aged 12 or older received substance use treatment, including those with cannabis use disorder. So, you know, I can back that up, you know, as a school teacher, as a military recruiter, you know, I've interviewed thousands, not hundreds, but thousands of young people all the way across America from San Francisco, California all the way to Virginia, literally coast to coast, hundreds of high schools. I spent 9 years in recruiting and I've turned away thousands of people from military service because they would rather smoke that weed. They don't want to give it up. You know, they would say, I want to join the military. And, you know, I would give them a drug test. They come back in 30 days later, 60 days later, 90 days later, still couldn't pass the drug test. Right. So, you know, it's got a powerful hold. Right. And if 49% of people are relapsing, the first time marijuana is offered to them coming out of treatment, you can't tell me that it doesn't have a powerful hold, okay? And I've lived that out on the front line. Um, and also with kids, you know, that said, 12 years old, people starting rehab 12 years old, definitely tell you that is true. Um, you know, I see it with 12, 13, 14-year-olds every single month that I've been teaching high school for the last 6 years. I had 2 students just in my office just this past week um, talking to them about vaping, okay? Because another student told them they need to come and talk to me, right? Because they know that I'm passionate about this stuff. So instead of them up, I simply had a conversation. And come to find out, both of these two people have been highly addicted since they were like 11 years old. And that seems to be common, about 10, 11, 12 years old. So anybody who's not happening, they're wrong. And the addiction industry knows it. They know what they're doing and they're targeting out the kids. So, um, and another statistic, guys, 44% of medical— or as I was, 44% of marijuana users are advancing on to harder drugs, right? And that is a statistic that we can't get away from. So, you know, like it, love it, hate it, people can deny it all they want to, they can argue it all they want to, the facts are there, all right? And it's interesting because when I wrote this book I did the research, right? And I was like, this is so easy. I thought it was going to be a hard book to write, but when I started researching, it was very easy to find this data. And I was like, man, this is like right in front of our faces and none of us are seeing it. So, you know, I just try to talk truth. I want people to see the reality. So, um, hopefully that gives you guys an idea kind of what my book is about. And again, if you're just joining, read the book, okay? The green glitch, what's behind the devil's lettuce, and win an Xbox. Okay, this gets you a ticket to win a brand new Xbox. I'll be mailing it out. Funny story is actually one of my students won the last two drawings, so he won, um, he won like $150 off me so far, and he's like, I'm gonna win the Xbox. So we'll see, hopefully somebody else will have a shot too, but I'm giving away two of them, um, brand new. So if you win, I will mail it to you. Okay, and then the only thing I ask is that you get on there and be like, you know what, he actually did send me a brand new Xbox. All right, I'm all about telling the truth, so I will send it to you. And, um, yeah guys, I appreciate y'all tuning in. Y'all are awesome. Um, share the information guys, share the glitch. I truly believe this, this is a message that needs to be talked about. Um, it's a bigger problem than people realize, and, uh, I'm gonna be talking about it. So— oh, okay, that's reversed, sorry about that. Uh, Girls, I think it needs to go the other way. I don't know if that's gonna work or not, but I'll tell you what, um, I will share after this goes live. I will share it, uh, the link on there, but it's all, it's all over my YouTube channel. So if you get on there, also my Facebook channel, JT Books, uh, the green glitch. I might be able to turn it around. Let's try this real quick. There we go. Maybe try that. That might be better. The Green Glitch: What's Behind the Devil's Lettuce, guys. Important book. So interesting stat too, since I got you guys still here, you know, 70% of Americans are pushing to legalize marijuana, which I found to be interesting. But a lot of people that I've ran into, you know, I figured I'd have a whole lot of opposition, but I've actually had some really good conversations with people, um, because like, man, I didn't know this, I didn't know these stats, you know. So, you know, I'm not here to like make people feel bad if they smoke weed or anything, that's not what I'm here to do, but I want them to know the real data, the real facts, all right? Because we're, you know, we're in a society where, you know, everybody can hear 100 positives on something and they're just going to take that as that's the fact, right? But the reality is there's probably a thousand things that are negative, right? And I'm kind of focusing on that. You know, there's two sides to every story, and I'm very concerned with what I see with the kids and with the young people. I went through it with my own daughter. Um, she just shared her, uh, her story in this book, which is very cool because a lot of young people can read that. You know, she had cannabinoid hyperemesis syndrome And she lost 50 pounds because her body built up to a level of— she basically, she had to have high potency THC in her system so she could keep food down. So when she tried to quit, that's when it really, you know, kind of kicked her in the butt. Like, she ended up not being able to eat, and she would get super sick. She'd be throwing up, couldn't keep the food down, and she literally lost about 50 pounds in a very short amount of time. So You know, there's a real struggle out there with this stuff and that's what it's all about. But anyways, I don't want to bore y'all all night long. So, um, you guys are awesome and enjoy your evening. All right, enjoy your Tuesday evening and read the book. All right, later guys!
