our life. So I'm talking to this person and she's sharing with me this dating experience and how she really wanted to be with this person, but the guy just wasn't committing back. And I'm looking at her and the following came out of my mouth: "So you think you're gonna win him over with your vagina?" And I couldn't take it back. And we sat in silence for 15 15 seconds. And I'm waiting because in my mind I'm already getting a letter from the board. My career is done. My practice is over. That's it. Literally 15 seconds, all of a sudden this huge grin goes across her face and she's like, "Holy crap! That's exactly what I've been doing. I thought that if I give them what they wanted, eventually they'll give me back what I want." what I wanted. So, I challenge all of us. It's almost a new year. We have a lot of good things, hopefully, that are going on for us in our lives. There's a lot of challenging things that are going on for us in our lives. Start looking at the people that are in your life and really decide where do they belong? Are they close intimate friends? Are you giving them more than they deserve? Are you giving the people that are just your acquaintances all the time and energy? Are you getting invested and wrapped up in drama? Right, as we know, no one has ever won a Facebook fight ever before and convince someone to think differently than they have, right? Because is there someone in the room who's done that? So I really want to challenge you that. So as you are trying to connect with someone, make sure you're giving them the appropriate energy and make sure that you don't try to win them over with your genitals.
