So this is— it's a little bit embarrassing to admit to, right? But I think that people can relate. So I was 27 years old when I was approached. I don't know how intelligent or mature you were at 27, but I was not. So I didn't— my values were questionable to start with. I already had like moral flexibility and moral ambiguity, which is probably why they thought I'd be a good fit. But I basically was just looking for the next best thing. So when CIA was like, hey, do you want to come work for us instead of them? I was like, well, shoot, that sounds like an even better version. I was here to get a chocolate cupcake. You're offering me a chocolate cake. Pshh. Like, this is an easy yes for me. But at 27 years old, CIA says, do you want to come? And you're like, you're going to turn me into James Bond. I'm going to drive a fast car. I'm going to have like the attention of every beautiful woman within 50 square miles of me. I'm down. And if she has hairy armpits, even better.
