Hey, how's it going? I am Dr. Jeff Langmane with the Evidence Based Chiropractor. And today for you, I want to break down the five benefits you can expect with chiropractic care. Benefit number one is a reduction in pain. Multiple research studies have shown there's perhaps no easier, safer, better way to reduce pain than with chiropractic care. That goes for the spine with disc herniations, facet issues, spinal stenosis, pinched nerves and more. But it also goes for extremity issues. People that have challenges in their wrists, their ankles, their knees, their shoulders. Getting joints moving is one of the best things you can do to keep them healthy and to keep them pain free. Benefit number two are for those individuals who suffer with or from headaches. Research has shown us that chiropractic care can reduce the frequency and the intensity of headaches. And there are millions of people we know over 20 million people suffer from headaches each and every day. And chiropractic care again has been shown to be one of the most safe and effective ways to to reduce the frequency, severity and intensity of those suffering from or with headaches. Big benefit number three is improvement in function and or quality of life. We have seen time and time again in clinical practice, but also through published papers that people who receive chiropractic care can expect to have improved functional ability, which really equals a better quality of life. That could be playing with children, getting back to sporting activities, or just getting through the day without pain. But quality of life is one of the top objectives of chiropractors around the world. Big benefit number four is less medication. We all know about the crisis that's gone on with opioids in the last 10 to 20 years. And a new study showcased that if you are somebody who receives chiropractic care, you are 49% less likely to fill an opioid prescription with opioids, resulting in over 100 deaths each and every day. This is a big deal. Additionally, NSAIDs, those common prescriptions you may take to relieve pain, those actually produce over 100,000 hospitalizations and 3,000 deaths each and every year. So any opportunity you have to reduce pain and improve your quality of life without having to resort to medications is a wise decision. And chiropractic is one of the best ways to get there. Benefit number five is performance improvement. And when I talk about performance, the easy thing to look at are sports teams. There is nearly every single NFL, NHL, NBA and Major League Baseball team utilizes chiropractors to keep their athletes going on the field and performing at their top level. Performance can split down a few different ways. Being pain free obviously is key, number one, but having great flexibility, having great range of motion is crucial to performance day in and day out. Whether you are working at an office or whether you are in the professional sports field, making sure that you have a great balance of strength and flexibility is one of the top keys to stay well long term. So those are the five big benefits of chiropractic care. If you've experienced any of those, please comment down below. Let us know. Or if you have any questions, I'm happy to answer those as well.
