A short on-site vlog by Jeff Langmaid filmed at Parker Seminars/Homecoming Dallas 2019. He highlights that the event drew over 2,000 chiropractors, covered tracks including technique, marketing (MD marketing), nutrition, and clinical science, and he briefly summarizes a research article finding 60% reduction with spinal manipulation versus 53% with nerve root injection for radicular pain. He also notes the unveiling of a new human performance center for research and testing.

Hey, Jeff Langmaid with the Evidence Based chiropractor. And we are here at Parker's Homecoming 2019. The theme is mastery and the event has been absolutely awesome. It is packed with over 2000 chiropractors. I had the privilege to speak about MD marketing and building relationships. There's a bunch of great technique classes, there's an awesome marketing track, and as well there is clinical aspects of practice all being represented right here at Parker 2019. Sam. So let's take a look at chiropractic research. Review time. This is like the longest title to an article ever created. So I apologize for that. This is unbelievably complex and you'll fall asleep halfway through it. Gist of it is this, people have radicular pain. Get an mri. The MRI sees there's a huge disc pressing on the nerve. Half the people go to the chiropractor, half the people go get an injection. What happens? Both the treatment groups had significant decreases. Well, I hope so. If you dump a bunch of steroid on an area, I hope it feels better. That's the whole point of it. However, 60% reduction with spinal manipulation and 53% for nerve root injection. Head to head. An adjustment can outperform an injection. Even in the scope of there being a structural issue of a huge disc pressing on a nerve. That's pretty powerful. And think about how many times, especially for the docs in the room, how many times have you had a patient that have come in? Oh, well, my medical doctor said that because I got the mri, there's a disc. There's a disc issue now. It's too far gone for chiropractic. It's just not true. But people need to understand that it's not true. And most people don't. Hey, everybody. How's it going? We are wrapping up Parker Dallas 2019. This is their homecoming event and it has been awesome. There's been something for every type of chiropractor. There was nutrition, there was clinical science, an awesome expo hall and plenty of technique. And one of the best things was what you saw earlier, which is the grand unveiling of their human performance center where they're gonna be doing research, testing, and I can't wait to see what they come out with long term. But that has been it. From Parker Seminars 2019. Hey, what's going on? If you loved that video, be sure to subscribe to this channel.
