He describes multiple forms of communication—marketing (patient reactivation), professional outreach/referrals, intake/inter-visit interactions—and emphasizes continual improvement over technical credentialing alone.

And this is really critical because communication can take many forms. It can take the form of your marketing if you're using patient pilot and generating reactivation through consistent emails. It can take the form of research and outreach to other health care providers such as the MD Connection and building referral relationships the heart of what we do at the evidence based chiropractor. It can take the form of the inter visit communication. How are you asking questions when a patient comes in? Of course this ties in to your initial intake to that initial history and then every single time you're seeing that patient in your practice all of that dives into communication and we can all continually improve our ability to communicate. I know it we all really geek out on I just want to go to that one more adjusting class. I want to get two more letters after my name. Please do that. But don't forget communication will determine your ability to grow, sustain and have a great practice more than anything else.
