A brief YouTube video (2017) by Jeff Langmaid describing his experience speaking about chiropractic research and the chiropractic adjustment to neurosurgeons, orthopedic surgeons, physiatrists, and executives at a major spine center. He argues there has been a recent shift in openness from medical professionals, urges chiropractors to build relationships and seize opportunities, and offers encouragement to the profession.

A chiropractor speaking at a spine conference to neurosurgeons and orthopedic surgeons. Is this crazy? No, it is 2017. And what I have observed as what we've talked about for many, many months, if not years at the Evidence Based Chiropractor with you, is the fact that there has been a seismic shift in terms of the openness of of other healthcare providers to chiropractors. Just this weekend I had the opportunity to speak about chiropractic care to a group of neurosurgeons, orthopedic surgeons, physiatrists and executives at one of the largest spine centers in the world. Let me repeat that one more time. I was fortunate just this weekend to sit in and have a presentation to surgeons, neurosurgeons, orthopedic surgeons, physiatrists and executive team members from one of the largest spine centers on planet Earth. A chiropractor. And you can do it too. But it's about bridging that gap. It's about building the relationships and it's about understanding where we are coming from as a profession and letting others know where we stand. Here's what I mean by that. My topic this weekend was about the research supporting chiropractic care, the research supporting the chiropractic adjustment. It's all out there. The breadth and depth of what we do as chiropractors has never been better and it is absolutely time to seize that opportunity. I did it this weekend. I know that you can do it as well. So I hope you kick start this week. Have a great week in practice. Know that the tide is shifting, that opportunity exists and that chiropractic care has started to take its place where it should be as a leader in the healthcare space, as a leading option in the management and treatment of a variety of conditions, but certainly as a safe and effective healthcare option with providers who are passionate about what they do, passionate about getting patients well, and passionate about providing the best care possible. Have a great week.
