Morning Routine {Chiropractic Life Hack}

A short YouTube video by Jeff Langmaid describing his morning routine focused on a nutrient-dense smoothie and light morning exercise. He explains ingredients (vegan protein, greens powder, almond milk, optional banana, brain octane MCT oil), gives approximate quantities and small usage cautions, and emphasizes starting the day 'light, clean, and high energy.'

Hey, Jeff Langmaid with the evidence based chiropractor. How do you get your day started in the morning? One thing that I want to talk about today is how I get my day started. If you look at successful people, one of the big trends that you'll find across time and industry and everything else is many successful people have a very, very specific way that they get their day started. And typically, unfortunately, it does not revolve around eating donuts, even though that is what I would like to do to get my day started. But to be productive, I focus on getting a drink, a meal, a system that gets my mind and my body started right. And that is what I've seen time and time again from the most successful entrepreneurs on the planet. So for me, what that means is I get started with a smoothie that contains everything you see here. So I love pescience vegan protein. It tastes great, it's got a ton of protein and it's also vegan. I am a pescatarian. I do not eat land animals. I'm perfectly happy if it was vegetarian, but it being vegan is even better from there. I certainly look at my greens. Always nice to get your day kick started with some nice greens to make it taste good. Almond milk, again, soy milk, not the best for you, but if you stick with almond milk, tastes great, gives you the same consistency as milk or soy milk, but is even better for you. And at the end of the line here is brain octane MCT oil from bulletproof coffee. So MCT oil, medium chain triglyceride, very important in brain function and brain activity. And bulletproof. Nobody does it better than them. So basically how I get started is pretty, pretty simple. We get one scoop, this has 20 grams of protein and it'll last you just about a month. So and again, it tastes awesome. Greens powder, there's a ton of them out on the market. I'm not very specific with this. When I take my greens powder, I kind of just go to my naked eye, I throw a little bit in there. I feel good about that. I go with my almond milk and I typically go, this is a ninja. And I typically go to just about 15 ounces, I believe on here. Then for the MCT oil to top it off, I go with one teaspoon. You can do up to one tablespoon. But you want to be careful as you get started with that with your body because you have to build up a tolerance to it. So MCT oil, just a little bit of that. Grab the ninja. There you have it. And you are good to go for the day. The other thing that sometimes I will do is I will put a banana in there from time to time, gives it a little bit of thickness, gives it a little bit more consistency. So getting started right every morning is super important. Exercise in the morning when you can do it, is a great way to get started. But certainly what fuel you put in your body in the morning is going to dictate how you move throughout your day. So get started right? Here's a tip on what I have found works for me and what I've also seen has worked for many, many other successful people throughout time. Get started light, get started clean and get started with some high energy fuel for your mind and body. So let me know how you get your day started in the comments below. I would love to get some feedback. I would love to know what you do for your mind and body each morning to prepare for the day and I think we can learn a lot from each other until then. I'm getting my day started right now.
