Jeff Langmaid (speaker) gives brief marketing advice for chiropractors focused on reducing fear as the primary barrier preventing people from visiting a practice. He offers two tangible tactics: (1) publicly show the office—use phone video or Facebook Live to show behind the front door and demystify the space; (2) record and share your personal chiropractic story on video (ensure good lighting and quiet). Combining these approaches helps create a welcoming impression and encourages community members who have never tried chiropractic to take the next step.

Fear is the number one reason people do not come into your practice. I want to give you two tangible marketing tips that you can utilize to reduce the fear of people in your community and get more people in your front door experiencing chiropractic. Number one is show them your office. Behind a door in a strip mall is intimidating. If somebody has any preconceived notion of chiropractic or they've never been in an office before, it's super intimidating to stop by, walk in or make that phone call. So start putting out some content. Take out your phone, use video, use Facebook Live. Showcase a little bit around your practice. Show people behind the front door. That is actionable. Tip number one, you can literally do that today. The other aspect, the other thing you can do to eliminate fear is do some video yourself. So hop on and tell your chiropractic story. Story, hop on video, use Facebook Live. All you have to do is make sure that it's quiet around you and make sure that the lighting you are well lit so people can see your smiling face and tell your chiropractic story. Almost every chiropractor has a compelling story of what drove them into the profession. Never discount that. And in my opinion, not only don't discount that, but use it to your advantage. It's probably some other chiropractor story is what may have inspired you to become a chiropractor or your personal experience. These are fantastic items to bring up its content points. It's pieces of your life that people in your community can resonate with. And when that happens, the fear washes away. You combine that with some other great content, you combine that with the ability for them to see your practice and you create a very welcoming environment for people who have never tried chiropractic in the past to take that next step and do so. So reduce fear of the people in your community to come into your practice by showing them behind your front door and hopping on and telling your chiropractic story. That connection will go a long way towards improving the relations of your practice with the people in your community.
