We're just getting back from Rock Stock 2018 in Miami. It was a great trip and as always, it was really about learning new ideas, new skill sets, and putting them into practical application. Had a great opportunity to meet some fantastic healthcare providers down there. So it's another event that I'll look forward to in 2019. Hey, guys, Maestro here. Talking to you today about Rock Stock 2018 and my presentation. I'm talking about building resilience from the top down. What I'm talking about is the fact that if we want to help our patients, our clients, our customers, our friends, our family become more resilient, we have to help them from the top down. We have to address their brain.
So you guys are here and you should be asking yourself, why should I even care about this? Why should I even care about resilience or resiliency? This is some of the reasons we should care. Let's think about the cost of chronic pain. It is, in and of itself an epidemic. $635 billion a year spent on treating this, managing it. On average, 115Americans die every day from an opioid overdose. That's one of the reasons we should care about building resilience within our pat.
