The researchers found that 6 of the 21 cytokines and chemokines demonstrated moderate to large effect sizes at multiple post-intervention time points, and all of it favored the spinal manipulation group. That's a pretty big takeaway. In a small group of people with MS, thoracic adjustments combined with trigger point therapy were associated with measurable changes in inflammatory signaling compared with sham care.
