Speaker A (Jeff Langmaid) argues that business results should be treated as data about decision quality and follow-through rather than as personal judgments. Decision paralysis often comes from skill/knowledge gaps; treating outcomes as information enables iterative change. Repeated failures or things that go wrong are necessary signals that tell you what to adjust to improve business outcomes.

Another big problem that people have is they get stuck in the decision process, right? They're looking at various different things in their business because they have a lack of skill or a lack of education or knowledge around certain things. They don't know how to make a decision, take the action to get the result. But here's the thing about results. Results just aren't the result of the action. It's data. So it's telling you the quality of the decision that you're making, how well the follow through on that decision is actually working, and it gives you information. Now determine what needs to change. Unfortunately, many people look at results and take the results personally. If you take the result personally, you're not actually looking at it as data and it starts to destroy your confidence, your self esteem, your vision of where it is that you see yourself going in your business. The truth is, is that we can't learn and become successful without having repeated things that go wrong or don't work, or even failures to some extent because they tells us what we need to do differently in order to change to get those things right.
