Foreign. Hi, I'm Dr. Jeff Langmaid with Research that Matters TV. Have you ever been able to tell somebody's mood just by how they walked in a room? Well, you're not alone. Research has shown us that posture and our mood or state are very much intertwined. When we have this closed down posture, it's often very much associated with a depressed or depressive mood. When you have a upright or confident posture, it absolutely changes your side psychology. This is the intersection of where physiology meets psychology. And what we've seen as well is if you're blue or just not feeling up to 100% on a given day, just changing your posture can have a dramatic effect in and on your mood for the rest of the day. These two things are completely intertwined and it goes the other way as well, which is why you need to be careful. If you are having a good day and feeling good. But ultimately your posture becomes soft, slumped, or slouched over time, it can definitely bring down and affect your mood. Now, if you are suffering from really depressive symptoms, we're gonna encourage you to please seek professional help. But if you feel like your posture is not as good, as balanced, or as dynamic as you'd like it to be, that might be an area of expertise that we can help you with. So please feel free to reach out to our office and we'll be happy to evaluate you. My name is Dr. Jeff Langmaid. I'll see you next week for another episode of Research that Matters. T.
