In this Everyday AI video, host Jay introduces Layven (Laven), a web service that provides a shared drive accessible to AI agents and human teammates. He explains how the platform lets users create workspaces, generate agent tokens, and connect agents via an MCP (Machine Control Protocol) so they can read and write files within a governed environment. Jay highlights the platform’s governance features—such as permission settings and telemetry—to prevent agents from accessing unauthorized data, and he walks through the pricing plan, noting its generous offering. Toward the end, he promotes his own 7‑day prompting ebook, “Perfecting Prompts,” linking it as a resource for improving prompt engineering. The overall tone is conversational and enthusiastic, positioning Layven as a useful tool for secure AI‑agent collaboration.

Laven is a website that allows you to have access to a shared drive for your agents and your teammates. If this is your first time here, my name is Jay and this is the Everyday AI channel where we teach you how you can use AI in your daily lives. So I'm gonna dive right into this here, and I think this can be quite useful because of course it simply allows you and any sort of agentic layer or any sort of agency you've got to access information in a shared drive, like a bespoke drive for you and those agents. This can be very useful in terms of governance policies and also I guess for telemetry and making sure agents don't have access to things they shouldn't have. So yeah, essentially you've got one dedicated space for, for, yeah, I guess agents to also have access to any internal files, the ones that they should have access to. This is pretty cool because they've also got an MCP. I've just signed in and signed up. And as you can see here, you can create a workspace, you can create an agent token, connect the AI agent with an MCP, and also let your agent read and write the files in the drive, which is pretty useful. So you can create agent tokens like this. They can specific agents. You can decide what sort of access privileges they have. If we go into settings here, we'll also be able to see their pricing plan, which is fairly generous. And yeah, you can basically dive right into this. I'm actually pleased to announce I've launched one of my first digital products, which is a 7-day prompting ebook. I've called it Perfecting Prompts, and it's essentially a 7-day crash course on how you can improve your prompting so that you can supercharge your productivity. So what I'm going to do is I'm going to leave the link to Perfecting Prompts below. I put in a lot of work into it, and in there I actually include some frameworks that I teach to global corporations. Definitely check it out. But in any case, definitely check out Laven if you think it would be useful for you. It's going to be a great way to safeguard yourself against any, uh, potential— I guess, uh, any potential security issues where an AI agent has some access to
