Jess, a Conscious Relationship Coach, introduces a tool for setting boundaries with yourself. Ask who you are at your highest version in relationships and who you are at your lowest. Then plan a specific response, like taking a walk, to interrupt low-vibration behaviors like picking fights or checking your partner's phone.

Hi, I'm Jess, Conscious Relationship Coach, and today we are going to talk about boundaries. But rather than talking about boundaries in terms of setting them with other people, we're going to talk about setting boundaries within ourselves. So a tool that I really love that's helped me a lot in my own relationships as well as with working with my clients is asking the question, who am I at the highest version of myself in relationship? How do I show up? What does that look like? Am I happy? Am I laughing? Am I giving? Am I joyful, having connected conversation? What does that look like? And it's going to be different for everyone. And then, who am I at my lowest in relationship? So some examples of lower vibration behavior could be, you know, I'm picking little fights, or I'm checking my partner's phone, or I'm creating conflict based on stuff from my past that isn't actually happening in the present moment. So whatever it is, it's really important to have awareness because then we can set boundaries for ourselves. And if we start to notice that we're acting in the lower version, We can create a boundary and say, "Okay, I promise myself if I start to act in this way, I'm going to do whatever it is I need to do. Do I need to take a walk? Do I need to take some space? What is it?" And really have that boundary with ourselves when we start to see that lower self behavior. So just wanted to share this. It's helped me a lot in my own life, and it's helped my clients, and I hope it helps you too.
