Jess, a relationship coach, explains why you might want a healthy partnership but keep sabotaging it: your subconscious believes love is unsafe or people will leave, and that fear overrides your conscious desire. She suggests Trauma Releasing Exercises can help release those stuck beliefs and make room for the relationship you actually want.

If you're frustrated because you don't have the relationship that you want yet, listen up. If a healthy relationship feels unfamiliar to you, you might have two conflicting things going on. You might have a subconscious belief that love is not safe or that people are going to leave or some sort of fear-based belief. And at the same time, you have this conscious desire to have a healthy, loving relationship. And what happens is the protection pattern will win out every single time. Your safety will win out over the conscious desire. A way out of this is to do the somatic healing work, meaning getting into your body using a modality like TRE to give your body the chance to actually release some of the energy that's keeping the charge around this belief, so that then you can have space to align with what it is that you desire.
