Transcript of a motivational coaching session (YouTube video) where the speaker leads an interactive eye-contact exercise to illustrate how burnout and emotions show in people's eyes. Volunteers (named Chase, Pam, Mark, Gloria, Anthony) read emotions such as happiness, joy, humor, confidence, and 'business' from one another; the speaker emphasizes that "the eyes are the window to the soul." The session is informal, audience-driven, and demonstrative rather than didactic.

The power of burnout. What does that look like? Tired, fatigued, haggard, weathered. Can you not see it in the eyes? Can you see in someone's eyes where their life is? Look at the person next to you and tell me what you see. Look into the eyes. Let me eyeball these people over here. What do you see? I see you. Okay, volunteers, what did you see when you looked into the eyes? Volunteers?
Happiness, joy. Excitement.
Yes. You know what? And you know what? Chase is a ball of happiness, joy and excitement. What's your name? Pam. Pam looked into Chase's eyes and she batted those baby blues of hers. Those are blues, right? Yes. And he has baby green, brownish and hazel stuff going on. And you saw happiness, joy, and that's how he is. What did you see when you looked in her eyes? Look at this. Oh, wait. No, no, no, no. We'll talk to you after class. After class. What did you. Whose eyes did you look into? What did you see?
I saw humor.
Humor. Nice. Anybody see anything else other than what we're mentioning? You can look at. The eyes are the window to the soul. You can tell what's going on with people even if they think they're fooling you. You saw confidence in Mark's eyes. You do see that. Didn't you See, like, rock solid?
Absolutely.
What you laughing about? I looked in her eyes and saw business. Okay, Anthony. Anthony, what's your name?
Gloria.
Anthony looked in Gloria's eyes and saw business. And then I saw Joy and she saw. And you know what? Anthony is a ball of joy. Oh, they cheated. They know each other. They know each other.
