Jim Katsoulis separates eating into two categories: cutting junk food and deliberately adding healthy food. Keeping them separate prevents all-or-nothing thinking. Even after eating poorly, you can still eat well, which over time boosts energy, kills cravings, and makes better choices easier.

2 types of eating that make you lose weight. So when you want to lose weight, it's really important that you take your eating and you split it into 2 categories. Now, the first category is the one most people use when they want to lose weight, which is they want to stop eating the unhealthy high-calorie foods. You already know how to do that, keep doing that. It's the second category that's the most important one in my opinion. This is the one where you're focused on putting as much healthy food into your body as possible. Now, the reason I say it's really important to split these 2 apart is because typically people are all or nothing, and if they eat unhealthy food, then they say, forget it, I blew it, and they focus on the healthy food. But I'm telling you, if you silo these two eating habits so that even when you eat a bag of cookies, a pint of ice cream, and a pizza, you still are putting healthy food in your body. And if you can get into that routine, what happens is that healthy food starts to have an impact. It gives you more energy, it reduces your unhealthy cravings, and it makes it easier to make better and better food choices. So separate these two. And even if you have a bad day with the unhealthy food, you can still put healthy foods in your body. I'm telling you, it's an absolute game changer.
