Three tips to eat better in social situations. Number one is to manage your hunger. Do not go into these situations being really hungry. Go into them being comfortably full. That's going to allow you to make healthier choices naturally and automatically. Number two is to relax. A lot of times social situations get us anxious, and when we're anxious, we go to the food to deal with it. And number three is to pre program your success. If you usually go into social situations and eat everything in sight, you're going to assume that's what you're going to do the next time you're in a social situation. So you need to intentionally imagine yourself acting as the person you want to be and eating the way you want to eat in the social situation before you go into it. So you send your brain the signal of how you want to behave.
