Can you be hypnotized? Let's find out. All you need to do is just follow along with the sound of my voice and do what I ask you to do, and I would be very surprised if you don't go into at least a light state of trance, if not all the way into a deep state of trance. Now, you'll be completely aware the entire time, but obviously you don't want to be driving a car, operating machinery, which I hope you're not doing anyways. So anyways, let's get into it. All you need to do is just close your eyes or defocus them and use your peripheral vision. And relax your face muscles. Relax your shoulders, relax your chest, and relax your stomach. Now take a deep breath in and slowly let it out. Take another deep breath in and slowly let it out. Now bring your attention down to your stomach and relax all the stomach muscles. Let them relax. Any tension that you may find, allow it to melt away with the relaxation. And feel that relaxation begin to move up into your chest, relaxing the chest muscles. Allow your chest to open and expand as you feel that relaxation moving deep into your lungs, into your heart, completely relaxing the chest muscles. Feel that relaxation move up into your shoulders and relax the shoulder muscles. You can move them around if you would like to as you relax them completely. Completely and totally. And feel that relaxation continue to move up into your neck, up into your ears, and down into your jaw. Now relax the jaw muscles. Really take a moment here and feel that relaxation moving deep into those muscles, melting away any tension that may have been there. And feel the relaxation move over your lips, up into your nose, so that with each and every breath you take, you begin to relax even deeper than before. And continue to feel that relaxation move up into your eyes and your eyelids. Feel that relaxation wash over all the muscles of your eyes, completely and totally relaxing those eye muscles. And then feel that relaxation continue to move up into your eyebrows, up into your forehead, and down over your face, so that all the muscles of your face completely and totally just relax and let go. Now, from this place, I want you to recognize how nice it feels to let your muscles relax, to let any tension melt away. Because as you relax your body physically, you start to feel more emotionally calm, and your mind becomes quieter as you focus your attention on keeping your body relaxed, breathing more fully, And from this place, you can go deeper into hypnosis by remembering a place where you were completely and totally relaxed. Think of a place in your life where you have felt completely and totally at peace, a calm, relaxing place where you've experienced that calm, relaxing feeling that you still remember to this day. And as you remember that place, you remember what you see when you're there. What did you look at? What do you remember visually seeing when you were at this place? And then you can think about the sounds that you heard. What sounds did you hear in this place? Or maybe it was— there was an absence of sounds. But auditorily, what do you remember about that place where you felt so relaxed and calm? And remember it now. And there may have been some smells or some tastes that went along with it, and if there were, you can remember them now. And if there weren't, that's fine. And now I want you to remember what it felt like to be there. What do you remember feeling on your body? Maybe you felt the wind or the sun. Whatever things you remember feeling, that sense of peace and calm that you had in this place, you can remember it now. And bring those feelings into your body even deeper, so that your body begins to feel the same way that it did when you were at this place. And as you go deeper into this relaxation, and as you continue to breathe more fully, and relax your body even more, you can notice that you almost feel as if you're floating. You can almost feel a separation of your mind from your body. As you relax your body even deeper, you free your mind. And this is what hypnosis feels like. So if you feel more relaxed, if you feel more calm, then you have gone into, at the very least, a light state of trance. And you may go deeper into that trance if you would like. And if you don't, that's okay as well. It's just about feeling better, where you can focus your mind in the way that you want to, from a neutral place physically, mentally, and emotionally. Now I'm going to count from 1 to 5, and when I say 5, you'll be fully awake, completely rested and refreshed. Number 1, slowly, easily returning to your full awareness once again. Number 2, each muscle and nerve in your body is loose, limp, and relaxed, and you feel wonderfully good. Number 3, from head to toe, you feel amazing in every way. And on the number 4, you become aware of the room that you are in and the body that you're breathing into. And on the next number I count, eyes open fully awake, completely rested and refreshed. Number 5, eyes open. Take a deep breath in and have a great day.
