A short YouTube monologue by Jim Katsoulis explaining that dieters subconsciously prefer very difficult diets because they equate difficulty with faster results, which leads to short-lived extreme plans (e.g., cutting carbs, 1,200 calories, no sugar) and eventual relapse. He recommends seeking an easier, sustainable approach and directs viewers to free hypnosis training linked in his bio.

The subconscious reason you want your diet to be really, really difficult. I know this makes no sense consciously, but as a dieter, you want your weight loss plan to be really hard because subconsciously you associate the harder it is with the faster results you're going to get. And you are obsessed with fast results. So this causes your brain to only focus on difficult plans. Think about what you have tried to do to lose weight. Cutting out carbs completely, 1200 calories, no sugar, whatever. Take your pick. It's always some extreme plan that that's going to give you results quickly, but it's really, really difficult. And so what happens is you do it for a couple days, maybe a couple weeks, and then you go back to what you always do. So the alternative is that you start looking for an easy way to lose weight. And there is an easy way. If you don't know how to figure it out for yourself, go to my bio, click the link at the hypnosis session and watch the training I give you. They're all free.
